Issue with authentication system, turned out it just needed an update. Wish it were sent OTA or I could've just done it myself, quick service and addressed right at the end of the day, but it did contribute to several things being stolen from the vehicle, had a ticket in with the main site for about a month, and had to wait until the next day to pick up, find rides for work and doc, etc, but overall great service from the local guys

Best Hyundai service department!!! They always have an opening when I’m wanting to go and they get me in asap. Rusty the maintenance manager is the best and even took us to a spot so we could shop and eat while we were waiting on our car and came back to pick us up when it was ready. 10 out of 10 for us!

I took my Genesis in for oil change. They always have coffee and snacks available. I like the TV monitor that helps you keep up with where your car is, in the process of the maintenance. They also have a large window between the lounge and the work area. You can see where your car is and what they are doing.

This dealership supersedes any other dealership, in my opinion! The salesperson was great at helping me pick out the right vehicle for me, as well as explaining everything that the vehicle provides. The sales process is easy and convenient. All aspects of the sale was explained completely and efficiently. The service team here is great too! They are quick to greet me upon arrival, and make sure what exactly I am there for to be completed. Accommodations are provided while you wait (snacks, drinks, coffee, charging stations, ect.). Once everything is complete, they are great to go over what was performed and provide any information about your vehicle that might need to be done either before or upon your next visit.
Just an overall superb experience at Tuscaloosa Hyundai!

Buying a Genesis was great, but once Hyundai lost the certification as a Genesis dealer, their service and WARRANTY process was horrible. If they don’t find the problem, they charge you. The shop manager admitted I had low Freon that can only be a leak, but they couldn’t find the leak so it wasn’t covered by the warranty. Fought it, got it covered but problem wasn’t fixed. A few weeks later same problem, but told me they’d have to charge me again if they couldn’t find the problem. So, I went and bought a new Cadillac Escalade and will NEVER go back to Hyundai Tuscaloosa. Service manager was rude and so glad I will not be going back there. Sales guys are great, the rest has gone downhill over the past year.

Tim Allen is the service guy I delt with. My 2017 Hyundai Elantra had been taken to the service department at Tuscaloosa Hyundai for the last 5 years. This past year my daughter had been driving the car between her apartment and college in Tuscaloosa. She experienced the car shutting off on her when it came to a stop. We took the car back to the service department to have it checked out back in September 2024. I was told that the vehicle had an issue with loosing oil and it would cost $1300 to repair the issue. I payed to have the issue fixed and the car started cutting off again in February. This time I had to have the car towed to the Hyundai service department in Tuscaloosa. Tim Allen informed me that my car needed a new engine due to poor maintenance. Tim Allen never looked up the history on my vehicle. Tim would have seen that Hyundai of Tuscaloosa Al did all the oil changes on my vehicle. All the reports showed that they did all the maintenance on my vehicle. Then Tim tells me to fix my car, it’s gone a cost me $8600. The service department failed to properly check my vehicle as the paper work said they did. I entrusted them with their knowledge and expertise when it came to servicing my vehicle. I will never buy another Hyundai again. To those people who own Hyundai vehicle and never experienced something like this. God Bless you and I hope you don’t. To those who are thinking about taking your vehicle to Hyundai of Tuscaloosa. Then you may want to avoid Tim Allen.

An oil change took 3 hours, main worker dealing with me was extremely rude and ignored the fact I was there that long. Then made excuses for why it took so long. Overall I got the oil change and they cleaned my car, but waiting that long and treated rudely was not worth it. Also prices were extremely high- over priced.

I had my car towed to Tuscaloosa Hyundai Monday morning after scheduling an appointment for Tuesday 12:45. My car is still sitting there having not been seen after three days. According to the service rep. Eddie I just don't understand how many cars they have to see. He is absolutely correct. I don't. But his scheduling department should. Also that scheduled appointments are for meet and greets, not service. Mean time I am driving a rental car for the unforseen future. Anyone else have a similar experience? Any advice?

WARNING!!! If you leave a review that the staff doesn’t like and they know where you work they will leave negative feedback about you and the company you work for on your employers Google review page. They will also have their family and friends do the same thing. Use caution affiliating yourself with this company. They will deceive you and rip you off and then try to get you fired from your job if you leave them negative feedback. Unbelievably unprofessional and juvenile. Stay away!!

We had an HORRIBLE experience with Hyundai Tuscaloosa. I felt they took advantage of our daughter who is a college student. We have had motor problems and have had 4 knock sensors placed. They had my daughter’s car for a month. They finally called and said it was ready after charging us over$200 for some lights. Immediately after she picked it up some new warning lights came on. This was Friday afternoon so she took it back first thing Monday morning. These lights had never been in prior to them working on her car. They charged another $185 diagnostic fee and never fixed the problem. I will NEVER own another Hyundai and will never again use Hyundai Tuscaloosa.

Absolutely horrible. My wife spent THREE HOURS there and asked them to check the tires and they said they were fine just to be showing wire 3 hours later! Then made my wife drive it home cause they didn't have time! WHAT WERE YOU DOING FOR THREE HOURS YOU IDIOT?!

You'll drop your car off and then recieve no further information. No one will call you back and you get hung up on if you inquire about anything. They also can't seem to order the correct parts. We'll be taking our vehicle elsewhere from now on.

Update: you ask me to contact YOU? How about someone pick up the phone and contact us about our car you had for 2.5 weeks! If you call all you get is put on hold and hung up on... special shout out to Tre and Eddie for their exceptional ability to pass the blame and not actually fix the problem. Chase was the only competent person and when he took over everything was fixed. He did a wonderful job of correcting the situation. He is the reason you're getting 1 star back. We will NOT be back!

2ND UPDATE 4/12: we came to birmingham to have the car serviced and we're informed that his tire had been patched IN A SIDEWALL. This dealership was the only place to touch thic car and this is a MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. Review is once again a single star, I would give them none if I could.

Sales department are top notch!! Service department will take you to town and leave you out to dry. I wish I would have heard all the local horror stories before I purchased our van. I've had the van for 4 months and it's been in the shop 3 different occasions. Also Hyundais service department stated they did not have the ability to service my vehicle and referred me to another dealership. Take this as a warning and run from this place. Update: I do not even take our van to this place anymore. We totally bypass the dealership. Honestly I feel sorry for the people who buy cars from them now. Trust me your buying trash. Take it for what it's worth and buy the best warranty you can because you will use it early and often. Update: Thanks Brooke for the clarification. I did not know that used vehicles on the lot are not certified pre owns unless its a Hyundai. I honestly had no idea how the process worked. Moving forward that will help me in my decision on which vehicles to look for.ince again Thanks for all your help

Well, I have had my Santa Cruz now little over a year and I STILL LOVE IT!!! This is a kick butt little truck!!!! It is an unbelievable ride !!! Sleek and just beautiful ! Just plain “cool man!!” I take it to Tuscaloosa Hyundia the dealership for all my “needs” and they always do me right !! I have not had a single issue and other than oil changes I have had to replace windshield wipers and for real they prolly didn’t really need that! I have membership for car washes over at Red’s so my “baby” is always fresh and clean but extra .. the dealership washes your vehicle whenever you have it there!! Courtesy car washes after oil changes or whatever !! That’s pretty cool!! Okay have a great day!! Stay safe people !! And thank you Tuscaloosa Hyundai !!! I am one happy customer !!!❤️

I just got a Santa Cruz from Tuscaloosa Hyundia and I could not be happier ! This truck is unbelievable !!! It is a beautiful ride and has every gadget you could imagine!! The back up camera is UNBELIEVABLE !!!

On my last three visits with Tuscaloosa Hyundai, things did not go great. On one visit my car was kept for 2 months after bring my car in twice. Next time my car stayed for 5 months. On my third visit, my antenna was broken and the manager denied this. After one week later, my antenna is still no repaired.

Tuscaloosa Hyundai makes you feel like you are their only customer! I especially appreciate that they text you when your car is ready to pickup, saving time of trying to call them to see if it is ready.

Staff are all service and customer minded. Special thanks to all the service personnel for their "personal touch" every time. We will definitely continue doing business with Tuscaloosa Hyundai.
