Update: Manager Kiko went above and beyond to reach out to us and apologize for the misunderstanding. It means a lot when someone can reflect and own up to a mistake. Tony Honda never misses to make us feel welcomed with their amazing customer service. Big Mahalo

Agency kept our car Friday-Monday without providing any other alternative form of transportation like a rental or loaner. We were at the agency multiple times that day at which point they could have informed us that our car wouldn't be ready. Instead they wait 15 minutes before the agency closed, at which point we were left with no other option than to stay carless. When picking up the car on Monday and voicing this frustration I was met with a mocking tone by the manager. “Aw you missed your car” instead of an apology or form of resolution. I expected more professionalism and kindness from a manager.

Sold me a 2017 Dodge Grand caravan 35,000 miles...3 months later, heads warped & in shop for 11 weeks...Heads warped 3 different times with two engines, in the shop for 10 months out of 2 years $24,000.00 in parts & labor....now telling me needs another $5,000 of work....Ruined my credit & bankrupted my business... Filed a complaint with the B.A.R. (bureau of automotive repair), the BBB, Dodge/Chrysler, Consumer Protection Agency and filing bankruptcy...Zero Aloha from Tony Honda.

I was in for an oil change. I waited there although I could have been given a ride and picked up. It took a little over an hour. I was sent a video of my work. And was given a very nice discount ( although maybe that was the special discount for everyone). Rylan explained any additional work that I might need in the future.

I sent multiple emails to Eric, an employee at the company, but received no response. I inquired about a specific deal I found online, and while he may not have appreciated the question, a reply—even a simple 'no'—would have been courteous and professional. I even referred a customer who purchased a new car from them, which makes the lack of response particularly disappointing.

Came in to have wind deflectors installed, after spending $600+ to purchase - nobody bothered to mention the charge would be over $200 to install. I was offered a car wash but after waiting almost 3 hours, was then told that the adhesive for the wind deflectors needed to dry for a few days - so no car wash after all. Very disappointing.

I recently brought my Honda in for an axle inspection, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the customer service I received. Rylan, the representative who called me ahead of time, thoroughly researched my warranty before my appointment. Once the issue with my axle was confirmed, he submitted the warranty request and secured approval *before* I even left the dealership.

What impressed me most was that the typical waiting time for the part is 10–15 days, but Rylan managed to get it much faster—and he scheduled my repair sooner than expected. His proactive communication, attention to detail, and sense of urgency turned what could have been a stressful experience into a smooth, positive one.

100% recommend Rylan—he’s fantastic!

Easy To Work With, Seem To Care, A Good Memory Even Over A Month Later…
You can tell the folks at Tony Honda are well groomed to make you feel at home. We were not really expecting to go home with as nice a vehicle as we ended up with. The staff knows how to be creative in financing, they work with numerous institutions & bring you their best offer after doing the research.
It can be a lengthly process, but in the end we came away with a vehicle practically new — as if a considerate relative had driven it a few years & passed it down to us in prime condition.
I don’t think you’ll find another place in this vicinity that will treat you any better. You can drop your fears of dealing with a car dealer because these folks have multiple sales staff & sufficient support staff they can dedicate a team to you to address your needs. They spend the time to ask you enough questions to try to match what they have — but sometimes options are beyond what we can see — they can pull info on vehicles at other locations, vehicles being processed, etc.
No concerns you have or questions are unimportant & they are proactive in finding out information without trying to filter it to trick you or manipulate you. They aren’t going to do a bad business deal either way — they will try to give you the best deal for your situation & needs.
Bottom line, is you can go in, not feel overwhelmed, be treated like you wish everyone else in business would treat you — with respect & great consideration.

We got our vehicle after a driver ahead of us lost control & dumped a bunch of trash all over the highway. Next morning we go to one dealership which had advertised a car but it was not on their lot. They took our names & numbers — but they have yet to call us now going on 5 weeks!
The contrast is we drove into Tony Honda, after about 10 minutes of getting our bearings, Eric Cunningham meandered in our vicinity. We had a price range & other specs, he consistently tried to find our match. He was like a friend reaching out, not trying to reframe things we had said to fit their inventory, actually he was open to matching our needs no matter whether at his place or elsewhere. We had peculiar financing needs & thought we could not qualify. They were able to open up credit we’ve not had for over 15 years.
Folks thinking about looking for a vehicle, new or used, these folks want you to go away with a vehicle that best suits you. They won’t try to just make a quick sale. They want you to come back, they want to earn your loyalty.
Cudos to Eric Cunningham, who has since still reached out to make sure everything is well with our car experience. Cudos to Melissa who helped find us good financing so we could get a better car than just our cash on hand. Cudos to over 6 other people who talked with us & said hello on that day, even tho we were not their direct customer.
Give Tony Honda a try, you might save yourself some time & frustration & might also come away with a well matched vehicle to your needs!

My 16-year-old son and I recently began the search for his first car and were browsing the lots in Kona when we met Mike at Tony Honda. I don’t usually write reviews based on initial interactions, but Mike was truly exceptional.

In a time when great hospitality and genuine customer service often feel like a thing of the past, Mike proved that they’re still alive and well. He took the time to talk with us, answer all of our questions, and even took us out for a test drive. While we didn’t find the right car that day, Mike went above and beyond by helping us browse other lots online—just to point us in the right direction.

I was extremely impressed by his professionalism, kindness, and willingness to help. Mike has absolutely earned our future business, and Tony Honda is lucky to have such a high-caliber team member.

This review is long overdue! Thursday the 8th we came in to check out a used car we went in super nervous and anxious as this is our first time in a dealership but we were blown away by the exceptional service! We were helped out by a nice young lady named Nikki who was super welcoming, kind, and honest, which helped ease our nerves and fill us with confidence. Then when we finally made a decision on the used car, she brought us to Melissa to help us out with finalizing everything and they were able to give us an AMAZING deal that was truly a blessing! It was a deeply emotional experience as we’ve been taking the bus and catching rides for a couple of weeks now after our car broke down and the fact that they were able to help us get back on the road was a dream come true! This place is a shining example of what a dealership should be - honest, trustworthy, and truly invested in helping people. I would recommend this place 115%!!! Especially because of those two incredible women who went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable! We’re still in awe of the incredible deal we got and the exceptional service we received! YESSAI!!

I have bought my last 2 cars from Tony Honda. I was happy with sales and the service department is always nice. However, in August of 2023 I brought my Civic in to have the Quantum Ceramic Coating reapplied. They photographed my car before applying the coating. When I went to pick it up there was a chip of paint missing from the hood. They immediately admitted it was their fault and the photos proved it. I was promised that it would be repainted at their expense. But it is now May 2025 and it still hasn’t been done. Every time I ask, I’m promised it will be done within a couple of weeks. At this point I don’t believe they will fix it and I can’t imagine buying another car from them.

They get an extra point for being nice but lose a bunch for their ethics. I asked for a quote to sell my vehicle. Got a very low ball quote from them. They also seemed very non-transparent about it.

What they failed to disclose was the fact that I could do much better by far at a used car place. Because the quote was so ridiculously low, I called around to 2 other places who readily agreed to buy my vehicle for 3000 usd more than these ppl.

It was just "not nice" to take advantage of me like that. I am sure it was intentional, which explains the rating I gave.

Sales Associate 'Delson' is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and honest.
He assisted me with buying a used "mechanic special" 2016 Lincoln MKZ, with 102,000 miles.
The checklist of necessary repairs is accurate. I immediately remedied the worn rear brake pads and ignition coil pack and spark plugs.
The car runs very well.
New tires are next.
Other non-critical repairs and maintenance are being prioritized.
Drive out for $7,500 is a great deal.

I highly recommend Tony Honda Kona.
This is our 2nd vehicle purchased from Tony Honda Kona.

Be sure to ask for Delson.

Sales representative Eric Cunningham did an outstanding job from A-to-Z providing great customer service, had extensive knowledge on the vehicle - 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid. He was very professional, friendly and supportive in answering my many questions and differences between competitive models. Way to go Eric!

As well, Finance manager, Melissa Kau-Nachor was very patient and knowledgeable with explaining the financing options available. When I doubted the need for additional protection on my vehicle, she did an outstanding job in explaining the pros and cons of what was available providing a deal that I could not refuse. Great job Melissa!

General manger, Kiko Martinez went out of his way to continually checkup on the 3-day purchasing process and took extra time to ensure all of my needs were being met. He pulled it altogether and made it happen. There is no doubt in my mind that Kiko is a GM that truly cares about ensuring his customers are treated fairly and leave with a satisfying experience.
