I have been working with St. Joseph Roofing for a little over a year now trying to get a new roof. They were very helpful and communicative during the entire process. They also worked really hard with my insurance company to try and get the roof replaced. They kept me updated whenever I called and made sure I understood the process. They answered all my questions with the contract. The contract is well written and really is the best around given the longest time for maintenance.

I’ve been a customer of St. Joe’s since 2011. I recommend them for the high quality of their work and their explanations of what they are doing. I am also highly appreciative of their politeness and responsiveness.

They had made repairs to my roof vent in 2011 and replaced it in 2015. In the summer of 2024 I noticed several shingles missing and asked them to repair it. Before repairing they did an inspection and told me that they saw signs of storm damage, and so they recommended a second inspection with my insurance company. They engaged a service that over 4 months worked with my insurance to get all the necessary repairs paid for (except for my deductible). When the moneys were approved they came out a third time to review with me the scope of work and options like replacing soffit and fascia boards. Two weeks after I accepted the proposal the work was completed. There was a fourth visit by a company inspector 3 days after at which two follow-up items were noted.

The only thing I’d change about their service was when the day came to change my roof, I wished I asked them to avoid noisy work before 9 am. For my part, I wish I had spoken with my community’s Architectural Review Board at the beginning of the process – this would have made for the smoothest process between myself and my community.

I had a conversation with Andy who apologized for the events that occurred and detailed in my original review. I appreciate his apology and efforts in going in making a commitment for the company to do better in the future by improving communication with the customer and conducting staff training. I am open to giving the company my business for future roofing/repair needs.

St. Joseph's did a wonderful job from beginning to end. It isn't fun to have a roof replaced due to storm damage, but St. Joseph's explained everything with patience and put on the new roof in one day. I expected to have some debris in the yard, but there was none.

I couldn't be more pleased with the exceptional service and quality work provided by St. Joseph's. From the moment I contacted them for an estimate to the completion of the project, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly responsive. If I could give more than 5 stars to this review, I 100% would. What started out as a "standard roof replacement" turned into a project that involved new gutters and insulation for our attic. We shopped around to multiple vendors for consideration of all 3 elements of our scope. St. Joseph's was the best decision because they were able to complete all three projects from their network and they offered a competitive/fair price. I never felt like they were trying to oversell something to me or complicate the process. Every person I talked to was honest, fair, and clear - a very big value add when considering such a large home investment. Once the work began, St. Joseph's was highly communicative in each phase of the project and were able to adapt to my schedule. I was always in the know. The installation of the roof was such a positive experience - there were multiple guys all were so friendly. They worked quickly and efficiently and were super clean afterwards! I found no trash in my yard as a result of their work (I cannot say the same about my neighbors who went with a different roofing contractor). The installation of the gutters was quick and seamless as was the insultation project. Finally, they came out and did a final inspection of the project before charging me. To me, this speaks volumes of their character, ethics, and putting the clients first. I will always recommend this company to anyone who will listen! Know that you will be in good hands if you choose St. Josephs!

I was having a huge issue with my old gutters. They were constantly getting clogged and overflowing which was on its way to causing foundation problems with all the excess water always dumping onto the ground next to my house and caused my driveway to washout after ever heavy rain. I called multiple roofing companies to help me figure out solutions to this issue, but it was St Joseph’s that sent somebody out the same day. They were upfront, honest and helped me decide on a better gutter system which would be 1. Easier to clean and 2 catch more rain.

1.5 years later and their recommendation has held true. No more washouts, no more water dumping next to the house and no more panic attacks.

No service and poor integrity. After 6 weeks there’s been zero movement on my roof repairs. Due to lack of judgement in choosing their preferred claims facilitator and lack of follow up and zero interest in being proactive, my insurance company has no photos and no estimates on file despite multiple visits to my home. Instead of owning their failure and implementing a solution, this company chose to try and gaslight me about the process and timeline, directly contradicting previous statements. This company is not proactive and will create work for you.

The finished roof looks great; with several outbuildings we’ve had a number of roof replacements, but this replacement looks the best by far. August 1 was really hot and muggy, but the roofers never faltered, not only replacing the old roof, but adding several elements we requested in the contract. One of the most impressive aspects was the cleanup - one worker spent all day keeping things picked up, then at the end of the day going over and over the area around the house making certain it was clean. All in all, a great job. Thank you.

Of all the contractors I’ve used in my 82 years of life, Saint Joseph roofing is by far the best one. When they say, they guarantee their work, you can count on that. Absolutely the best!

St. Joseph's Roofing was awesome from beginning to end during the installation of a new roof from an insurance claim. They provided exceptional customer service and workmanship, and I'll be back to consider them for any future projects.

Pricing was fair, and end result was satisfactory, but the journey to get there was not. Failed to coordinate the insulation in a timely manner, costing two months of cold weather. The roofers broke a landscape light (not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things). We've found several nails in the backyard where the kids play. Missed the scheduled final inspection.

Update - St Joseph's did reach out to me to touch base on my concerns. Andy listened and seemed to take serious note of each one for them to consider ways to improve for the future. I'm hopeful they're sincere and have increased the review from 3 to 4 stars based on the interaction.

We replaced our roof. The workers were punctual and expert. The work was done efficiently. Our roof looks great and is the envy of my neighbors. My front and back yard were cleaner once the crew finished and left. Ask for Eddie if you call them.

They were referred to me from a contractor friend and couldn't be happier. Estimate was total cost, showed up on time, did everything they said they would and explained a few things that I was unaware of. Will definitely become my go to roofers. Would recommend 110%!

YES!!! I rate St. Joseph's Roofing as 5-stars because they were so good and dependable getting me through the whole process with dealing with the insurance company and getting me a very pretty roof for my one-story home. I highly recommend you follow their representative's advice. Just one day for the roof de-install and install (the materials were lifted on top of the house the day before). The roofing crew were a cohesive team and very, very accustomed to working together.
They even put new shingles on my 12'x12' storage shed. It all looks WONDERFUL! I would highly recommend St. Joseph's to friends and family.

They did a complete replacement of my roof. The process was pretty straight forward, no surprises and I felt that the estimates given were genuine. Some addons were offered but not pushed, they even found a way to reduce some of the cost. The installers took only 1 day to complete the work, I was surprised about that. I was impressed with their professionalism. So far I have not found any leaks so I think it was a job well done.

I have researched and received quotes from 6-8 vendors. St Joe's roofing was not the cheapest (you get what you pay for), but I found that they had the best materials, were professional, prompt, courteous, very efficient, and the best value for the multiple quotes I received. After a spring storm, several of our roof shingles were missing, and was unsure of the best way to repair or replace them. I contacted St. Joseph's Roofing after seeing one of thier ads in the Sunday Bulletin. One of thier Technicians quickly came out and provided us some guidance and information on next steps. We decided to file an insurance claim and allow St. Joseph's to help represent us for an adequate assesment. The insurance company assessed the damage to warrant a full roof replacement. Eliot was professional and responsive when working with the adjuster. The removal and replacement of the roof went very smooth, it took 2 days start to finish. The work area around the home was cleaned thoroughly, and the roof looks great. St. Joseph's even found a shingle type/color they do not normally use to satisfy our HOA. Martin from St. Joseph's came out a few days later to do a Final Inspection and make sure everything was completed to company standards. I was impressed by all the interactions I had with St. Josephs representatives- Eliot, Andy, Cecilia, and Martin. I would definitely use them again for repairs and improvements and also highly recommend St. Joseph's to other homeowners.

A branch went through my roof during a bad storm. St. Joseph's Roofing made the entire process completely painless! Andy was super helpful at making sure his team was able to repair my roof quickly, and they did a great job. I couldn't even tell you where the hole was anymore. They didn't try to take advantage of me and tell me I needed thousands in repairs like other companies did, which I really appreciate. I have tons of trees, so will definitely be using them from now on!

St. Joseph's made replacing our roof simple and painless. For the estimate, they came when they said they would come and were very thorough in looking at the roof and in the attic. The estimate was very detailed and provided for a contingency in case there were problems uncovered when the old roof was removed. The workmen arrived on time, worked quickly and were professional, knowledgeable and cleaned up beautifully when they were finished. They even warned us there could be some debris in the attic from the roof removal process so we could cover things beforehand. The final bill was very close to the estimate and we were very pleased with the look of the new roof. They definitely exceeded our expectations.

Oct-2019 this company replaced two levels of our home roof. There was NO water leaks before the new roof installation. The roof was replaced due to age and to stimulate air flowing. Nov-2020 first leak was repair. Nov/Dec-2021 second leak was repaired. Jun-2021 same leak kept appearing, but now the whole wall needs to be replaced due to drywall damage. Since the roof was installed in 2019 we cannot use those rooms waiting for the rooms to be painted. St. Joseph advised to wait until no more water leaks. When we paid for the new roof we asked and paid for the best materials and labor, but so far we do not see good results. We may be already having mold problems because of the poor but expensive job that we contracted.

Jun-Jul/2022 Andy from St Joseph, managing the claims that we made while suffered in care our home, did a professional follow up and supervision over Alex -the installer crew’s supervisor- . New roof and gutters installed. From start to finish, it was a flawless operation. Excellent communications, and everything was explained in simple terms. All options were explained – no pressure. They need to fix some rotted wood and replaced 12 sheets of plywood. The finish quality was excellent. Gutter installers were the very best. I highly recommend St. Joseph’s Roofing. They installed our current roof in 2004 and since then have removed the wood stove pipe chimney and patched the roof and have now installed new exhaust pipes and recaulked the roof. We have never had any issues with our roof and it still looks pristine. We were pleased with the roof audit conducted recently and were told that the roof remains in good condition and should last another 10 years. It shows the excellent workmanship of the team. At our request, they conducted a roof audit with a thorough examination of the roof and reassured us of its condition. Every member of the team is responsive and attentive to our questions and needs, and are always professional, courteous and congenial. Quotes we have received are reasonable, and we have been pleased with the prices of their services as well as the work conducted. Staff and the workmen respond promptly to our inquiries and have always shown up on time and notified us when they plan to do the work. Over the years, we have used contractors for various work on our property, and St. Joseph’s Roofing is one of the few that I trust and recommend over and over again.

Nick, Andy, and the team of St. Joseph's Roofing did a fantastic job! My HOA requires the use of old school cedar shakes, which they quoted and installed without issue. There were no delays, despite ongoing global supply issues due to the pandemic, and the work was done within days (including replacing 6 skylights). The team also cleaned up immaculately. They were professional, responsive, and kind. I would use them again without pause. In fact, I recommended them to my neighbors, who will be starting a project with them soon.

I had some wind damage to my roof and hired St. Joseph’s Roofing to replace it.
I own a townhome with a roof that’s just under 800 square ft (8 squares) with an A-frame gable on the facade.
I hired St. Joseph’s to install Certainteed Landmark shingles, synthetic underlayment, ice and water shield, pipe jacks, ridge vent, drip edge, and install a ridge vent at the peak of my A-frame gable that didn’t have one already in order to increase the ventilation of my attic.
Tim Kelly came out to look at my roof and was very thorough; he even climbed up through my scuttle hole to take a look at the decking and my roof from the inside. Mr. Kelly was very thorough and professional. Within a few days, I received an email detailing the project proposal and estimate with which I had a few questions. I called Mr. Kelly and went over the contract and he was very patient with all of my questions and very thorough with his answers.
I agreed to the proposal, signed the contract, sent it in, and then I was contacted to schedule the project. I was told my project would happen the week of August 1st. I hadn’t heard anything by July 31st and reached out about my project and was told the earliest date would be August 2nd, weather dependent.
The project began just after noon on the 4th and was “completed” that evening. I had asked 2 of the crew members to take photos for my insurance adjuster to determine if my existing roof had any synthetic underlayment or ice and water shield. No pictures seem to have been taken as none were provided.
After taking a look at the roof a couple hours after the roofers left, I noticed there was no ridge vent on my A-frame gable. I called St. Joseph’s to ask about it and it seems as though it was an oversight. I was told a crew would come in a few days to take care of it.
I was told the project was scheduled for the early afternoon of August 10th. I ran an errand around 10:15am and returned home at 11:50am, just in time to see the St. Joseph’s truck pulling away and leaving my home. I was not contacted when they arrived or when they finished. On the plus side I had a new ridge vent.
In the contract, after the project is completed, a Sr. Project Manager will inspect the new roof to make sure it is up to the company’s standards. I reached out the second week of September since it had been over a month since my roof project was completed and I had not had an inspection nor received and invoice for payment. The Sr. Project Manager came on September 18th and performed the inspection and told me it looked good and to expect an invoice in my email.
I received encouragement to leave feedback and review my experience and just received my invoice September 30th.

Overall great experience with a few instances of communication breakdown, but I am thoroughly satisfied.

After 23 years I decided to have the roof and gutters on my Reston townhouse replaced. I got several bids and decided on St. Joseph's Roofing based on price, service, and general feeling of comfort with my sales rep Tim. Unlike other companies, they didn't insist on an advance deposit, just a signed contract and a future agreed installation date. They were responsive to my timeframe, did the roof in one day and the gutters in another day, cleaning up after each time they were here. I can recommend this company to anyone looking to have their roof or gutters replaced. I feel that their price was fair and their quality good. With no hassles, one can't put a price on that either.

We love our new roof! Andy, in the main office, was very polite, professional and patient. He answered all our questions in a timely manner and explained in the detail the process of replacing our roof. Martin was extremely patient when my husband and I were deciding on the type and color of the shingles and all throughout the process of signing the contract. Martin never rushed us and we took our time to make decisions on the type and color of the shingles. He offered several options and explained in detail each. They took complete care of the project from the beginning to the end.

The installers were awesome. A crew of six workers came very puntual the day that had been scheduled. The entire crew was polite and very professional. The crew supervisor was attentive to details and kindly complied with my requests for minor details. They went over and above what we expected and our roof is beautiful!

The supervisor also came a few they later to do a final inspection and to answer any questions we may had had.

We have used St. Joseph Roofing a few years ago. They installed a new gutter system and we were very satisfied with their work and their price. Their prices are very competitive and they are pretty flexible. We would highly recommend them anytime.

I chose St. Joseph’s to replace my 20+ year old roof for the care they put into determining their estimate. For example, Sean was the only one of three contractors to climb up into my attic to inspect the interior. He gave me various shingle options and answered all my questions. When St. Joseph’s scheduled the project date, they sent a helpful email with instructions and description of the process. The roofing team was friendly and capable and left the area around my home cleaner than they found it. My new roof and gutters are beautiful, and I have confidence it will be another 20+ years before they need to be replaced.

It was a great experience working with St. Josephs. Other roofing companies that I contacted didn't want to do a repair, they wanted to sell me a new roof, so I really appreciated them taking on a smaller job.

Although our 20-year-old flat roof was in good condition, we knew it was time for an upgrade. We sought bids from three local companies, including St. Joseph’s Roofing (SJR). We told each company that we didn’t want “all the bells and whistles”. We simply needed a roof that looked good, wouldn’t leak, and would be covered under warranty.

SJR was the only company that truly listened to us and provided a proposal that reflected our specific requests. In fact, one of the other roofers tried to convince us that everything had to be replaced – including our coping, which SJR and the third company told us was in fine shape and could be reused.

We compared all three bids looking at the specific materials, replacement/reuse items, additional fees for rotted wood, warranty, and overall price. We also read many reviews and checked out the Better Business Bureau website. All three companies were similar but SJR came out on top: excellent reviews, an A+ BBB score, and the lowest price. In addition, SJR offered an excellent warranty: 10 years for workmanship, as well as a manufacturer’s warranty. An added bonus? SJR’s warranty can be transferred if we decide to sell our townhouse.

We accepted SJR’s bid on September 3rd and the project commenced on October 6th. The workers arrived on time and took extra care to protect the surrounding areas, including securely covering our brand-new heat pump at the side of the house. They were professional and polite.

As expected, some of the wood on the old roof was warped and had to be replaced. SJR’s bid mentioned the potential of an additional cost if damaged wood was discovered. It also clearly listed the cost for replacement. Therefore, we were not surprised when the final invoice was slightly higher than the original quote. In fact, it was less than what we had expected.

It took two days to complete the roof project and -- from our untrained eyes -- it looks great! The true test came a few days after the installation when the DC-metro area was hit by torrential rainfall stemming from a hurricane. We inspected the entire house and there was not a single leak.

We would certainly recommend St. Joseph’s Roofing to all our friends and neighbors.

Full disclosure: Since many people are skeptical of 100% glowing reviews, we’d like to mention a few minor issues. Communications: SJR is a bit slow in responding to emails and returning phone messages. We had to follow-up several times regarding questions about the contract, scheduling, the final inspection and the invoice. Clean up: After the installers left, we located several pieces of roofing materials in the plants, shrubs, and trees around our house, as well as in our drain spout. Inspection: We were told that SJR would not consider the project as completed “until it meets our inspector’s satisfaction.” However, when the inspector showed up at our home a couple weeks after the installation, he didn’t go on the roof or conduct an actual inspection. He told us that SJR had photos of the completed roof project and that it looked good.

Bottom line: We’re very satisfied with our new roof and with our overall experience with St. Joseph’s Roofing.

I had a great experience with St. Joseph's Roofing. My estimate was straightforward and addressed what I needed. It was simple and the price was reasonable. No high-pressure sales, no up-selling, and no confusing detail. I had a few questions that were quickly answered over brief phone calls and email. The installation was done quickly, with no surprises or delays. And it looks great. The St. Joseph's team seems very honest and knowledgeable, and they have a customer service mentality which is not easy to find. I have already recommended them to my friends and family. St. Joseph Roofing was great! As a certified solar contractor, the roof replacement qualified for solar tax credits. I saved $7200 on my roof thanks to St. Joseph Roofing. They completed the project within 2 days and I had to ask if they even came because the clean up was amazing. Thank you St. Joseph Roofing.

UPDATE: The response shows yet again the communication challenges with this company. Double checking on color choices is one thing. Checking 3 times asking if we had picked our color yet is not confirming. We have multiple messages to their employees asking when someone was coming to inspect the roof. We had to ask for the owner's information and were not given that information. After hunting it down ourselves, we sent a letter that he did not answer. Finally, the GM followed up after we let them know we would not pay the bill until we were assured of an inspection and given pictures promised (which we never received as stated below). SJR mentions multiple inspections that we were not aware of until reading this answer to our review. In fact, the only inspection we were aware of is the one on August 8th, over a month after the project completion. We tried to pay the bill at that time but we were told no they were going to make an adjustment. We waited for the updated invoice and finally reached out again about it. On Sept 4th we were sent the exact same invoice and questioned it as if it was going to be the same why didn't they take our payment a month ago. The GM said he had updated it and didn't know why we were given an incorrect bill. We waited another month and then once again followed up. The final bill, with a $500 discount, was sent to us on 10/7. We immediately mailed the payment so I am guessing it was waiting in someone's inbox to be processed. Interestingly, the payment was magically received on 10/20 with an email confirmation. Maybe this is not how they run their business all of the time, but we certainly were treated poorly and feel like there are plenty of companies that treat their customers better than this. Keep looking!

The communication challenges with this company are awful. It started with the office staff being rude in emails to us and being asked multiple times by multiple employees if we had picked a roof color...we had and it was in writing. That should have been a warning and I wish we could have canceled as we were quite concerned that roof color may not be correct. They showed up not on the day the roof was scheduled, unannounced, ringing our doorbell at 6:30am to do our roof. We were not able to move things away from the house as they had already started tarping before we came out. Things were broken and lots of debris from the roof was left on our property. They were supposed to come and do a final inspection a couple of days later and never did. While a month later we finally got them to come to the property, they never showed us the pictures of the roof we were promised. And just this week, 4 months later, the president of the company evidently had something important enough to blow up my phone with calls and send an email only to then send an email with no explanation other than "it was taken care of today". Definitely not a company I would recommend!!!!!

I'm an architect, so I try to be selective about who I hire to work on my own house; I couldn't be happier with the work St. Joseph's Roofing did on my family's bungalow. Their price was competitive, their terms were fair, and they were professional and responsive from start to finish. If not for a rainstorm at the end of the day, they would have completed the entire replacement of my 30-year-old roof in a single day. They returned the next morning to clean-up and did a thorough job. I know we'll be reaching out to them again when it's time to replace our siding and our windows.

Needed to have my roof and gutters replaced after doing some research and speaking to friends and family for recommendations I chose to work with St. Joseph's. They were professional and responded quickly to questions and concerns I had. Only issue was the lack of communication when it came to scheduling the actual installation dates and if the day was going to have to be pushed back or come forward due to weather. They were in the average price range when compared to other quotes I received. I will recommend St. Josephs to friends, family, and neighbors in the future.

SJR did a great job with my roof replacement. The entire team...sales rep, operations manager, foreman, crew...were professional and friendly. The job was completed in a 12-hour day, lawn and garden were left unscathed and clean-up was thorough. Roof looks great!

Even before the initial meeting, I was sent a very informative email along with an comprehensive slide show describing the entire process of roof replacement. I had a lot of information going into the initial meeting. The quote came in quickly with many options, the scheduling was simple, and the installation crew was great: professional and thorough. And when they left, other than a beautiful roof, you never knew they were even on our property. Great job from start to finish!

At this point, I've probably worked with every single staff at St. Josephs. I did my research and talked with a handful of contractors. St. Josephs was by far the best quality for their price range. The entire organization from Pete the owner to the PMs and foreman were wonderful to work with. They care about their customers. I had my roof and insulation installed at the same time. A little bit of insulation got spilled over to my neighbor's front yard. They are like cotton pillow filling. The work crew cleaned up the area as much as they could. On top of that, they even bought a bag of mulch to cover up the area. Great workmanship and great customer service. Will be calling these guys for my next roof.

We are very happy to have St Joseph's Roofing replace our roof and gutters. The saleman, project manager and installment team were all very professional and kind. We got a great quality roof at a fair price. They did a great job cleaning up too! I am happy to recommend St Joseph's roofing. We will call on them again for home projects in the future.

We contacted several other roofing companies in the area. While SJR was not the cheapest, they did have the best presentation. Everyone involved in the project was very professional. We had new CertainTeed Landmark shingles put on our entire roof. We also had 2 skylights replaced. Our gutters we done as well. The crew cleaned up great both times they were here. Once for the roof/skylights and another for the gutters. They did our whole roof/skylights in one day. We've had the roof on for over a month now and have had no issues. It has rained often too. Everything looks great. I would recommend them and use again.

Great company and workmanship. They took their time, had great attention to detail and even came back a 3rd day to do some caulking touch up and and another sweep of the yard for nails and old shingles. Communication throughout the process was top notch. My neighbor had his roof installed by a lower cost company on the same day and wishes he spent the extra money to have it done right. Their pricing is competitive, but may not be the cheapest. However, you get what you pay for!

I was driving behind this guy for 20 minutes and I can not Express to you how courteous this man was. I've never seen anything like it!(We were on 28 in Manassas). We have had St. Joseph roofing replace all of our roof surfaces recently and couldn’t be happier with the service. They originally replaced a very small amount of roof 20 years ago and we were so impressed with their professionalism that we got them to do the big replacement this year. They take a lot of time with a thorough free estimate, work with your schedule and did a great job. The company seems to really care about getting things done right and do a lot of follow up inspections.

We chose St Joseph's roofing because they gave us the lowest quote and showed the most knowledge about roofing in their proposed contract. Our bill came back to be the same as the quote (which they were honest in telling us may not be the case if additional wood needed to be replaced) and they even inspected the roof an additional time before sending us a bill. I used St. Joseph’s Roofing to replace my entire townhouse roof after approximately 30% of the original, 8-year old shingles were blown off during a wind storm. After initiating the initial estimate, St. Joseph’s sent multiple information packages with valuable detail outlining important roofing considerations along with details on St. Joseph’s Roofing. This information was useful as a non-roofing expert.

On the initial consultation Tim Kelly was very helpful answering my questions, outlining the options and making recommendations.

Once the service was scheduled, the only delays were weather related. The multi-person crew arrived on time and completed the job that day. They did an excellent job cleaning my property leaving only minimal debris.

Following the installation, Mr. Kelly came to inspect the roof, do an additional sweep of the property for metal, and answer any questions. I spoke with Maggie at the St. Joseph’s roofing office multiple times, and she was always pleasant and helpful.

The only area I wish St. Joseph’s could improve is the notification time before the install or any install related changes. I was only notified after 8:00 p.m. the night before my service date changed due to weather and the night before it was rescheduled. This made it complicated to coordinate being at home for the install.

I haven’t noticed any problems since the service was completed. I thought the price was fair, and would use St. Joseph’s again if I needed additional roofing help.
