St Johns Auto Body

My husband’s truck was in an accident and we picked St. John’s autobody to repair it. I have also used them in the past a few times for myself. We have always had excellent customer service and their work has always been fantastic.

Okay approximately 3:00 p.m. on the 5th of June 2024 I was traveling west on State Road 20 Putnam County Florida when I was passed by a St John's Auto Body rollback truck that was heading west on 20th well the driver was driving erratically weaving in and out of traffic trying to respond to a car accident I called St John's Auto Body and reported the driver driving 2 fast and weaving in and out of traffic this driver was going well over 75 mph in a 50 me hour Zone. When I called St John's Auto Body the lady there that answered the phone tried to tell me that he was responding to a car wreck am I response was he is going to cause a car wreck his self by driving the way he is at a high rate of speed before he gets to that car wreck not to mention he tailgated about six cars when I tried to explain this to the lady she did not want to listen she just wanted to cut me off and say that there was a set speed limit on those trucks well if there is then why was he going over 75 miles an hour especially in a 50 Mi an hour speed zone? If St John's Auto Body has drivers that drives excessively fast like that, think how they drive with your vehicle on that roll back I would definitely not call or have anything to do with St John's Auto Body to the point that I did call I did make a complaint and the lady at the office did not want to discuss the issue she wanted to over talk me and she wanted to argue so that is not business like at all and I will not have anything to do West Saint John's Auto Body for the simple fact that they are not customer friendly and they're not business like attitudes and their drivers Drive Reckless. All I can say is that is lawsuit Central I will definitely not recommend this place for anybody for any reason at all because of carelessness and neglect

God bless the teenagers. My son locked his keys in his car after hours. Jason, and his wife, came to the rescue with a quickness and smiles. It blesses my heart to know there are still good small businesses and people who serve our community.

Bryce and company worked hard to make my repairs trouble free. Worked directly with my insurance company, friendly, quick service. Highly recommended!

This is the second vehicle I have taken to them. Bryce and his receptionist (I didn’t catch her name) went ABOVE & BEYOND. Still my go to body shop. 10/10 recommend.

So apparently there is nothing you can do with this business except leave a bad review. My name is William Patton. This company towed my vehicle, sold it, suspended my ability to register any other vehicles for the rest of my life if I don't pay them for selling my totaled car. I have hundreds more to come. Needed some bodywork done after a truck backed into my little Chevy Trax. Shops local to Palm Coast had long waiting lists so I took the 30 minute drive to Palatka and am glad that I did. Family owned business that was a pleasure to do business with. Got my car back inside of a week complete with a great detail.
Highly recommend.

Shop presented a professional atmosphere

After being in a wreck in Palatka (not my home town) the police called for this company to tow my car to this shop. They had my car 59 days. When I picked it up I pointed out the flaws. I was told the scratches on the new paint job would buff out. There was bondo on the new parts. I pointed out that it appeared that my bumper was welded back together. I was told it was normal. Within a week of having my car back the bumper fell apart and the tire wells fell onto my tires because they failed to replace the engine cover and several clips. My back window would not roll down. My car was left with scratches from the wreck that they just applied a clear coating over. They failed to replace necessary parts on my car. My car has now been at a different shop where they are repairing the original damage from the wreck and the damage from someone poorly repairing my car.

UPDATE:
We thought that St. John’s Auto Body did a good job repairing my mother’s vehicle, but we were sadly wrong. The body work that we could see was done nicely, however the under carriage was supposed to have been sprayed with a rust retardant paint and it wasn’t sprayed at all. Progressive Insurance randomly picked my mother’s car to check the work done and found their work lacking. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS! TERRIBLE!

Someone hit my mother’s car from behind and we needed to get it repaired. St. John’s Auto Body accepted the insurance of the person at fault. The whole process took three weeks but my mother’s car looks good as new. They even detailed her car and it’s cleaner than when we brought it there.

Not happy at all. Took my car in for an insurance claim and a cash claim. They gave me a quote for both and said they would do both at the sametime so the cash claim wouldn't cost me as much. I went to pick my car up and they told me I would have to bring it back and the price was $300 more than they said it would be originally.

Super Awesome Shop.  We had the unpleasant surprise finding a possibly stolen travel trailer on our property and after the sheriff's office cleared us to call for a tow truck to pick up a 20ft travel trailer and after calling several other tow companies in the area and hearing all the possible excuses to avoid picking the trailer, I came across St. John's Auto Body and within 30 mins the trailer was picked up.

While the trailer was being picked up I drove out to their shop to fill out their paperwork and provide them with the sheriff's case number.  If you need any towing services in the Palatka, FL, area don't waste your time calling anyone else, just call St. John's Auto Body.  Keep up the Awesome Service.  Stay Safe and God bless.

Liz and the guys did a GREAT service to us.
First, our truck was taken in for damage done and fixed it. It came back with the color being two toned. when they took it back in to match it correctly, they involved us in making it right.
I recommend St John's Auto Body to everyone. It's a family oriented, owned and operating business.

Bad customer service, we wasted a rental car pick up cost us almost $70 because, they called us 1 hour after we dropped of our car for repairs saying they couldn't get part for 5 days.... we called ahead to make sure they were all ready and she said yes!!
We had our car fixed at a different shop for less $$ and it was not 3 day repair it was a 1 day repair we saved even more rental fees with them.

Got in a wreck got them to fix it. Took them 6 weeks and they lost my key. They tried to say it’s not there fault. Gave it back without the AC working. Parts they put on falling off when driving down the road. They said they put it back the way they got it. It was in a front end collusion. They put one new light on the other one all scratched up mine before wasn’t messed up. Would highly recommend not to take anything to them to fix but the towing wasn’t bad. Oh got it back with no brakes on it they let me drive it away that way it was at the Ford dealership that day and it had breaks so lost the breaks after it got back to there shop after I went off on them. Seams a little fishy too me.

These guys and gals are awesome! Helped out our cause in a heartbeat. May God Bless them and their family in abundance!!!

I was in a wreck in my 2004 BMW and the insurance company wanted to total it. But it has only 16K miles and is a great car.
They were very honest and upfront about the estimate. They were not sure what extra work would need to be performed once they got into the engine. It was minimal and they researched used parts to save me 3K dollars.
St. John’s Body Shop did a superb job and finished within one week.
I will go back.

My bar broke down about 10 miles outside of Palatka, they responded in a reasonable time and didn't over charge.

Brought my car there because something was leaking inside and staining entire interior roof. They determined it was a cracked antenna base. They fixed it AND had the headliner upholstery cleaned and got all stains out. They did all this in a timely manner and stayed with their quote that they gave me. I will definitely recommend them and bring my car there for future work to be done. I was very pleased with what they did and I’ve checked every time it rains and it’s not leaking anymore.

I recently got in a car accident, and I called them and on the phone they were very nice and said that they could give me a estimate on how much it would be to fix for the insurance. I drove an hour and thirty minutes just for the shop to tell me I have to contact the insurance company and get them to send them stuff first. I really wish they would’ve told me on the phone, it would’ve saved me a lot of trouble. Also, whenever I arrived in the office the workers were discussing how they’d rather hit and kill animals then have to fix their car. They all thought killing a dog was very funny. I will definitely be going somewhere else.

Liz and Bryce at St. John's Auto Body were great to deal with. My car came out of the shop with an amazing repair job (body/paint job). They even cleaned the interior and exterior of my car, air fresheners and everything! I would surely recommend this shop for quality work and great customer service.

This business gets 5 stars due to the Fast courteous and nice professional service they offer. I will be more than glad to refer St.Johns Auto body for anyone. They are Awesome!!!

This place..st johns auto body..was not the best choice for me..the did not compete the work on my truck and on top of that the did not lock my truck and ...supposedly someone got over there barbed wire fence and broke into several vehicles # that were unlocked..inside the gate..they stole a very expensive bracelet and ring out my truck...st John's did not offer to compensate me for items that were taken...I do not recommend this business to no one ..oh buy the way I had to point out to them that my body work was not complete after the had my truck for a week..

They provide towing services that were a great help when our family vehicle broken down on the side of the road, and then again when we needee to transport the vehicle to our home. The driver was friendly and helpful to my husband, and we were pleased with their timely response in our time of need.

Took my dad's car in for some work. It's still in progress so can't comment on how it will look but I was impressed with their thoroughness and communication on the work they will do. I expect we'll be happy with the results!

Had an excellent experience here with body damage repair on my truck. Top notch customer service from the very beginning, no effort required on my part. The estimate/quote was done and submitted to my warranty company by the shop, they had my truck in and out within a week. Workmanship was first class on a part of the roof that 3 other local shops refused to work on. Everything's as good as new with zero hassle! Highly recommended!

My wife and I met a few of the guys who work here on lunch, all were very friendly and recommended coming in for a quote for front end damage on my wife's Honda. Went in for a quote and we were greeted (using the term VERY loosely) by the front desk girl who offended my wife within 30seconds by rolling her eyes at her and treated us like we interrupted her break and was anything but friendly or personable. The snobby girl then grudgingly went outside and took pics of my wife's car. That was 6 days ago and never heard a word back. We will NOT be returning.

Used there wrecker service. The driver was so kind, sweet, patient and fast. He was very cautious while driving also. I felt very safe while riding with him. I hope the next time I have to use your wrecker service that he is the driver.

My car broke down and I spoke 3 times with manager at store I left it at and they said fine after that St John's towing towed my car after 300 dollars I ask the owner of a restaurant if I could park it there til the shop could get it then at John's towing called and told me I had 24 to 48 hours to move off private property and getting permission from the owner of restaurant they are not personable at all even after getting cash money I would never waste my time with them if I had to wait for another company to come get me not nice people in office real short and nasty girls work there

for as long as I can remember I have always trusted St. Johns Auto Body to restore my vehicles to like new condition. Recently I had to have repairs done on by truck and it happened to be at a very trying time for me... The truck was repaired and they went above and beyond the call of duty to help me through this time... There was a little flaw in the paint job due to the part it was taken from and they took the truck back and made it right without hesitation. Looking like new again! THANK YOU ALL FOR ALWAYS BEING THERE FOR ME.
