I had a great experience working with SpaceStars Deck Builders. They were punctual. professional, and true to their word. I personally dealt with the owner, John, who ensured me that everything was delivered exactly as promised. It's clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority for them, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services to others.

Beyond happy with my experience. Ian walked us through the whole process and was super informative. I had no idea the details that go into each deck but I’m glad I went with them. I always believe that you get what you pay for and Ian really led us to the best options for our home. I couldn’t be happier!

SpaceStars - I did not go with this company for the following reasons: about $30k more than other quotes received, high pressure 4 hour sales meeting, no show room and 3 month wait time to start build and didn’t receive a written email quote after the meeting.
No reason to think they wouldn’t do a great job. Just not for us.

I have no experience with their deck building capabilities because it didn't get that far. They sent a couple of young guys out to solicit and give me a presentation. You always know you're in trouble when they want to spend 90 mins upselling their company and processes before they give you a number. I've had 6 different estimates of replacing only the top boards of my deck, which did not include the substructure because that had already been done a year or so ago. The measurements they gave were not consistent with the other 6, which were all relatively close to one another. Four of the other 6 were also relatively close in price (in the 40's). These guys wanted over $100K to simply install composite boards and new railing over my existing substructure! Imagine being $60k higher than any of your competition and arguing with the owner that the other companies are shit and no one else in the world can build a deck of their quality and borderline questioning my intelligence and logic in not wanting to spend almost twice what everyone is charging to have them do my work. And not having a full grasp or understanding of business and how other companies couldn't possibly do it for less with similar quality. Honestly, here's information that may help you out in the future; 1) Nobody wants to sit through a 3 hour presentation to get a number, 2) Don't bash other companies that you've never heard of about there quality or business practices, 3) I would venture to say no matter how good you think you're business is when you're pricing yourself out of the market by $60K you're most likely losing deals. Just my observations. Also I don't like feeling like I'm being sold by a canned sales presentation. Sell it to me without me even knowing I'm being sold. I have trained over 300 high performace sales teams. Teach your guys the 10 Road to the Sale Steps and let them create a new pitch based on the needs, wants and personality of the buyer. Lastly, please don't reply to this with excuses or justifications for your employees, their sales presentation or your prices. This is done and we just were too far apart to come together. I will have my deck done, it will be a good job and it will be at a competitive price.... nuff said good luck

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. First, a guy came over for an estimate. After the hour long PowerPoint presentation with a binder, he told us the price. Told him he we will think about it and get back to him. Did NOT like the answer. Seem like he wanted a deal done right then and there. So, we proceeded to tell him we will think about it for about 30 mins which he finally leaves.

Get a call two weeks later asking if we are done thinking about it. Told the lady over the phone that we went with something else and you can guess where this is heading towards. "Oh, we do such and such too" I get that you want to make a sale but keep asking why you won't go with them just became a headache after saying no a few times. If you want a headache and a company that ask you questions like "Who else is going to do it so we can try to undercut them" go with these guys. Stay clear

They built the deck and patio two years ago. After two years I can say I’m happy with them. There were some minor issues but they responded to my requests and fixed them promptly.

If your in the market for a top notch deck this is the company to contact. Very professional and super friendly especially Nadia. Very easy from the quote to the end results. Super happy with their work and professionalism. Don't go anywhere else if your in the need for deck installation.

Our experience with SpaceStars, beginning to end, could not have been better. Starting with our early meetings with Ian, communications with Nadia, planning and discussing details with Garret, the foreman, every step was talked about and delivered as discussed. The man who actually did the work, Daniel (and his young assistant) could/should be a cabinet maker. He was both precise in his work and creative in the solutions he devised for the peculiarities of our job.

These people delivered on time (actually ahead of time), for the promised price and at a level of quality that surpassed my expectations. Obviously I would hire them again tomorrow.

When our old deck was deemed unsafe, Space Stars built us a new one, which improves on the old one in every way. Garrett and Nadia were very helpful along the way, and the crew were immensely good at what they do. Once the permits came through and the weather cooperated, the deck went up faster than we thought it would, and we couldn't be happier with it!

Matti Sabti, Project Designer, was very helpful in showing us previous projects they completed, helping us decide materials for our project, and getting the work started. Nadia Hawatmeh, Office Manager, answered all questions we had to get the work on track and completed.
The construction was started on time and completed on time thanks to the men doing the construction. Nick and his worker were pleasant and two of the hardest working men. The weather was cold, but they started early each day and worked hard all day. Their work was professional and beautiful. Great job all around. Highly recommend this firm and employees we worked with.

I can’t say enough good things about SpaceStars Deck Builders. from the initial meeting with the sales representative to the completion of the deck I have no complaints. We were given a clear timeline, pricing and materials to be used before signing anything. Payments were requested at the correct times and we were confident throughout it was going to be built correctly and with care. It has been over a year now since the deck was completed and it’s still prefect no complaints, would and have recommended to friends and family.

From beginning to end every member of the staff has been responsive to questions, texts and calls. Joe Haddad, is a very nice, informative, personable sales rep. He explained everything in detail. He needs to come back for the Strawberry Dip. LOL. The workers were all very kind and friendly. They did a magnificent job recreating the small side porch. It looks awesome. We love it. The supervisors, Adam and Garrett were both excellent. They responded to every call/text and all issues were resolved immediately. Nadia always responded to my calls regarding any questions/concerns I had. She had them resolved immediately. Couldn’t ask for a better group to work with. Kudos to all of you.

Beautiful work done by Clear Choice, and above and beyond customer service from start to finish. Our project was a complete demolition and rebuild of an existing 300ft2-ish deck that had to first go through HOA approval as well. Clear Choice took care of everything from assisting with HOA approval to submitting permits with the city officials and scheduling inspections. Our sales rep Don C. was thorough and down-to-earth, he avoided being superfluous in his presentation but was extremely knowledgeable. Nadia H. was our main contact throughout the project and she was so diligent in keeping in contact via email or text or calls with us regarding project updates and answering all of our questions that came up during the project. She even responded to a dumb payment portal question on a Sunday afternoon (much to my dismay and still feeling guilty about; I absolutely expected a next business day response). We didn't have a need to interact with the work crew(s) but they were courteous and thorough and obviously take pride in their work. The main selling points with Clear Choice to us were they were local, BBB accredited, and already had great reviews. They have a history of still being around and available post-project if needed. You can absolutely find another contractor who is cheaper, but it's my belief you get what you pay for; and to me the exceptional level of customer service and support is worth it (along with the quality of the build as well). Even though the project is now complete, we also have no hesitation in reaching out to them in the future should the need arise.

Clear Choice really went above and beyond in managing my project, providing excellent communication, and ensuring everything was completed to my satisfaction. The fact that they maintained close contact, were responsive to my questions, and worked well with both my HOA and the City and a second party, shows a high level of professionalism and commitment.

Clear Choice handled all the aspects of this complex job and kept me notified. If I had a question, I had three phone numbers that I could call anytime and they would answer me right away or get back to me within 30 minutes or less with an answer. They got the job done within the time limit. If there was a small change or discrepancy, they made sure that I got the best of the deal. They cleaned up from their work. They called me several times to make sure I was thoroughly happy with their job. They called me to tell me when all my building permits were finalized. They were there for final inspections so they could answer any questions. They were fully capable of working with another company in regards to my complex project with minimal interference. It's impressive that they were thorough in handling permits, inspections, and follow-up, which demonstrates their dedication to not just finishing the job but ensuring satisfaction.

Also, they didn’t immediately call me for payment. Three weeks after the project was done, I actually had to reach out to them to pay them. They even offered to come and pick up the check because we were afraid to send it in the mail. Really great company would definitely go with them again!

Quality work but over priced, Effective High pressure sale tactics. During the initial meeting, I contemplated backing out and I got the "let me talk to manager" schtick and I will give you a one time offer took 7k off. I left the meeting wondering companies that give things at cost are not effective. So, it made me wonder how much did I truly "over pay" for services. My wife even allowed for the company to put advertising in our lawn. No additional perks or benefits. Overall, clear choice did not leave a bad taste in my mouth but a unseasoned flavor taste in my mouth.

Clear Choice did an excellent job installing my deck. The sales rep was knowledgeable and spent over an hour with me describing in detail how the deck will be installed at a high quality. I had other quotes that were a few thousand dollars less but I felt more confident that Clear Choice would install the deck at the highest quality. I have no regrets in choosing Clear Choice.

The long version of my review had too many characters for this platform. The short version is that the end product was over-priced but amazing quality and workmanship. The high pressure sales, project management and service are horrendous. After numerous examples of how their team's incompetence caused me major headaches and money, I would urge customers to steer clear of 'Clear Choice'. There are less expensive options out there that would be of similar quality, and more competent service.

The Clear Choice team was professional and knowledgeable in all our interactions. Their installation team worked carefully to remove the old deck and with precision to install Trex on our new deck. They were not the lowest quote we got for installation, but the cost was justified by their expertise in installation of Trex and the quality of the final product.

The team of Clear Choice Custom Decks performed the job while I was away. When I came back to see the product, I was thrilled to see that they did all the details as requested. When they had doubt about something, I was contacted while overseas, and they confirmed the details. This week, we just turned the sprinkler system on, we found that one of the heads was buried and broken accidentally under the newly installed stairs of the deck; this head was not reachable by the sprinkler system team. Although it was not their responsibility by contract to fix this; however, it took only a phone call to Ms. Nadia, their administrator, who sent a team next morning. The team opened the enclosed siding of the stairs of the deck, dug in the ground, identified the sprinkler line, capped it, and restored the deck; all in 1 hour. I was again impressed. They did not charge for this work. I highly recommend this team, professionalism and punctualities and their friendly approach. They deserve 5 stars for this job.

We have an absolutely lovely deck from Clear Choice Custom Decks. Our lead craftsman, Nick, was amazing and his work ethic was so above and beyond. Nadia and team really did their best to be helpful and keep us updated. The only reason for the 4 star review was there were some real bumps in the road in terms of design clarity and communication at first and sometimes within the process. However, one of the main things we would have wished were different has now been changed - future customers will have a better experience in the initial design process. Everyone should just be very clear about expectations and all will go smoothly. Again, too, we are thrilled with our final result.

Absolutely the right choice to make my deck. Had 3 different quotes and Clear Choice Custom Decks had the best presentation and a quality product better than Trex The framing was far superior than others quoted. The city building inspector constantly said this deck construction was top notch during all 3 approvals. The construction crew was incredible and had the completion done well before the promised date. Pricing ended up being very competitive. Would highly recommend this deck company

I highly recommend Clear Choice Custom Decks. We were happy with the information Matt provided us at the beginning and the design he came up with. The construction began as planned, is sturdy and completed on schedule. Nadia and Dana were very professional and had meetings with us. They scheduled city inspections and communicated promptly. The finish is beautiful.

The project manager didn't like how the first installation was done (which we couldn't tell why from our non-expert eyes) and had a new group of workers completely redo the decking. At least I can confidently tell they are honest and doing the best for the customers. The final job was beautifully done. Highly recommended!

Professional work, assisted me in changing the design following a personal misunderstanding, cost was competitive with other firms. Experienced some delay completing electrical additions and clearing the site, but overall satisfied.

Scheduled an appointment for a quote. Was surprised to hear it would require 2 hours but nonetheless. The gentleman arrived at 5:15 pm and left at 9pm! I estimate we didn’t get an actual quote from him until 8pm… you may ask why we let him stick around for almost 3 hours but we were under the impression we were about to hear a reasonable/budget conscious quote from him since we told him our expected budget/cost early in the conversation. I told him it was just not going to work and we were not interested in a 15 year payment plan! We were exhausted after an almost 4 hour experience. I would suggest management discuss with their sales people to respect peoples time. I have since spoken to other companies and gotten a quote within 30 minutes and not 4 hours… this long process might be OK with some people but not for our busy family on a Friday night. The guy was nice but felt like I was stuck at a timeshare presentation and very repetitive. It all just felt intrusive and like we almost had to tell him to leave which made us feel very awkward because again he was a nice guy. I think he just really wanted the sale… but 4 hours?? Come on.

I had a (If memory serves) 20 by 14 foot deck built by these folks, I am extremely pleased with the outcome of the project. I'm in a new neighborhood, they're wrapping up the last houses in; there's a distinct quality difference between my deck and some of my neighbors decks. After seeing a neighbor's poorly trimmed deck, I'm even more satisfied with my perfect trims on my deck.

If I have any other needs for contracting work, if they provide, I'll be sticking with them again.

The hardworking crew came to build in middle of December and taking only 2.5 weeks to build from scratch.
The deck is well designed, constructed, assembled. The salesman explained everything in details and took all our requests. We were well communicated throughout the process till the completion. We're very happy with the results and neighbors have giving us a lot of compliments. 5 stars!

Very impressed. The guys that built both my decks, and my steps did a very good job. They worked like machines. My smaller deck they built, was very difficult, due to working around a pre existing old deck/roof and a 1943 foundation. My job had a unique set of difficulties. These guys handled it as if it was just another job (Very impressive) Came out better then I even thought possible. No problems with inspections from the city. If you are worried about scammers and frauders, DON'T BE, if you use this company.
Wish they could build my garage.

Deck turned out perfect. Clear Choice did great job replacing our entire deck. The end product reflects their attention to detail and lived up to their promise on craftsmanship. Appreciated their sense of urgency completing within the job on time to support our home event.

Right off the bat we knew would be going with Clear Choice for our deck. Matti was so professional and knowledgeable, and he was not hasty in the process. He was very helpful in the selection process. Him and Nadia responded to all our questions in a very timely manner. Communication was ongoing, and best of all we did not have to worry about getting approval from the city. They did all the work for us. The entire team is just amazing. And do we love our deck?? Clear Choice was accommodating by revising original stairway plan thanks to Roland. The workers were very good, especially Nick who stayed with us until the job was completed. We are very happy with the workmanship and the final look of the deck.
Dana always kept us informed of when the workers were to be here and she followed up on issues immediately.

Meticulous job for very sturdy deck~!!! However, took very long time to get to work. We had to wait almost 6 months for them to start working. The only other thing I wish was if they could have removed the grass before putting the rocks over them so that we don't have the grass peaking their heads up through. But that's very minor thing and I like my deck a lot. We have qatched our next door building their deck just last week. And I could tell how Clear Choice did much better job at making it much more sturdy and another fact I like kurs compared to our neighbor's is the fact that ours is "water-proofed".

Reducing my review to ONE star: I have been reaching out to John and team for discoloration on my patio. At first they were going to fix it, then they made it worse, then they basically said not their problem. Today, I now realized that it is cracking apart! Ridiculous - it's been ONE YEAR and they ditched us and it looks awful!
Original Review: We were thrilled to work with ClearChoice on our new patio. John and team - Tony’s crew specifically! They did amazing work, are wonderful humans and so easy to work with! We need some mulch, new furniture and brick cleanup but it’s already beautiful!
