These folks have been fabulous to work with and have taken care of us so well. Always responsive. Up front. Deal with any issues with grace and fairness. I needed them when I hired them, and my need has gone away - but I stick with them because now I want them! While I can do much of this myself, they are so much better and it's such a privilege to support such a great company an family.

We've been using Good Guys for several years now (plowing, mowing, fertilizer, season yard clean up). We are a non-profit in Ann Arbor with some specific hours and they've done an excellent job keeping us open in the winter and looking good in the summer. Their crew members are professional, friendly and dedicated. The office staff is very responsive. They have a clean billing system. On top of all that, they provide more benefits to their employees than any other lawn care company we've worked with, which means they've got employees who enjoy their work and their workplace.

I can’t say enough great things about Good Guys Lawn Care. They are professional through and through. From dealing with the office staff to the employees performing the work, I’m always left with a feeling that I was taken care of. If you’re looking for a company to hire, you found it. Stop scrolling through the internet and give them a call.

They showed up twice without arranging the exact time or date beforehand. Then 5 guys showed up to the site to do simple gardening tasks and only 1-2 of them working at a time, the rest of the crew were just hanging around, and they charged us for 5 men!!! They charged our credit card automatically without sending an invoice, and we have been complaining about the overcharge for the past weeks, and no real action from the company! So disappointing!!!

We have been customers of Good Guys Lawn Care for several years now. We have always used them for weekly mowing and this year we added the leaf removal service as well. Leaf removal is quite a job with our tree-filled yard, so it was nice to have it taken care of without any stress on our part! We've used Good Guys Lawn Care for fall cleanup for several years and they always do an incredible job. We have a heavily wooded lot and the team that came out this year was fantastic. Super nice, really fast and efficient, and the price was competitive.

We used Good Guys last year for a plow service - the fancy pants commercial service! In my old office we had a very important person at UM Ann Arbor *cough cough* that couldn't get snowed in as she had very important work to do. She was always able to get out of her driveway and safely to campus. We love Good Guys!

I signed up thus summer. The estimate was easy and understandable. And service was started as soon as I accepted. The service has been professional and always on time!

I hired this company for a fall cleanup, looking to have all the sticks, leaves, and other debris cleaned up off the lawn. The crew showed up with leaf blowers and got a little leaf blower-happy because along with the leaves off the grass, they ended up blowing all the mulch out of our garden beds! Landscaping fabric was left exposed, drip irrigation hoses were uncovered, wood chips were left scattered all over the lawn along with all other debris they missed cleaning up. I was shocked to see the results of this "clean up." I reached out to them in hopes of them making it right and replacing the mulch, but after a months-long back and forth over email full of promise to get this done and a spring cleanup they never showed up to, I am not really holding my breath. The Good Guys - not so good after all.

I recently started using Good Guys Lawn Care after cycling through several providers over the years. I was especially drawn to the page on their website that describes the benefits they provide to their employees.

It was easy to schedule the services I needed, and the staff communicate quickly and effectively on a consistent basis.

This week, there was a minor issue that caused some brown patches on the lawn. I happened to return a call to Good Guys to schedule another service and asked if they knew what happened. I was promptly transferred to someone very knowledgeable who explained the situation and detailed the resolution plan that was already in place at no cost to me. Stuff happens - I only mention it here because I am thrilled with the accountability, communication, and thoughtfulness consistently present at this company.

This is the worst lawn care company I have ever had. They left clippings all over my yard, patio and in my mulch beds. I was charged for lawn edging but they never edged anything for the 4 times I had them out before canceling. They also add a "Fuel Surcharge" of 5% with no explanation...

Good Guys have been mowing our lawn & performing fall clean up for a number of years and have always done a great job. The crew are conscientious with cross cutting week to week, laying down crisp lines and rows, & are friendly too. The yard is left tidy when they are done. They really seem to take pride in their work! I get lots of compliments on our lawn and always chalk the compliments up to the quality of the mowing work. I never hesitate to refer Good Guys to friends, family, and neighbors looking for a reliable lawn service contractor.

This year we decided it was time for a lawn service and after many calls we landed on Good Guys, and I could not be happier with their service. All season their work has been efficient and reliable, with an easy to use online bill-pay and great customer service. They handled our weekly maintenance, aeration and fall cleanup and I haven't a single complaint. Looking forward to working with them in the coming season.

We have been using Good Guys for lawn care for a few years now, and have been very happy with the company. I like the fact act that I can pay online and the company is easy to communicate with (they actually have an administrative assistant!). Jake and Charles are our lawn care specialist, and we could not be happier. Good Guys is the best lawn company we've used over years of home ownership. For our seasonal lawn fertilization service, we appreciate advance notice of our upcoming treatment. When they say they will come next week, they will come. We also hired them this spring to service our sprinkler system. The technician, Johnny, is remarkable! He checked for and repaired leaks and adjusted the sprinkler heads to ensure even water coverage of the lawn. If needed, he replaced the heads. Johnny was patient in explaining what he was doing and what he needed to do. He didn't rush and was honest with his assessment. His interpersonal skills and customer service were outstanding! We commend Good Guys on hiring outstanding employees providing courteous, excellent services.

The website and scheduling of the service was very easy to use. I didn’t even need to talk to anyone, scheduled online, they showed up and did the work. The yard cleanup consisted of only removing leaves from the lawn. No sticks or acorns were taken away so a bit disappointed in that aspect, was hoping the entire yard would have been cleaned up.

After years of experience with area lawn services, I find Good Guys to be the best organized and the most professional and responsive of all. I highly recommend them. They do an excellent job.

We have used Good Guys, for the first time, for snow removal. Although they were the most expensive of several quotes, their service has been outstanding. They arrive promptly with a crew of 3-4 employees and do not limit their snow removal to the usual parameters. It is really a pleasure to see such outstanding customer service in this market segment.

For my yard work, I found out that Good Guys had charged my credit card almost 95% more than the estimate they had initially quoted me. Upon inquiry, they informed me that there was more work needed than they expected. The issue, of course, is that they went ahead and completed this additional work without telling me; the credit card charge was the only courtesy notice I received. After multiple attempts to push back on my complaint, Good Guys finally conceded that they had neglected to provide me with a cost-control option. They provided me with a partial refund for the additional work but only after significant haggling with them. So why not a 1-star or 2-star review then? Because their quality of work seemed good to me and their office staff are generally pleasant to deal with. But a 3-star review is certainly warranted after the lack of communication and the initial refusal to own up to the very obvious issue. I will not say that I do not recommend their services; but do make sure to do your due diligence before contracting with them.

Edit: The business has commented that we selected an hourly service with no budget cap. After all was said and done, their manager conceded to me that a budget cap is a feature of their service that they offer - the manager and I came to agree that they did not explicitly offer me that option at the outset. I know this neglect to offer this was a simple matter of forgetting rather than intentional. As a lay person with no experience in lawn care service, the business indicated to me that a typical workload for my home's situation takes no more than 8 man hours. With no budget cap in place, the business billed me more than double the "typical" man hours without ever providing me a better estimate of the number of hours needed during the process. My gripe is not that the work was dishonest (I do believe the work was honest), rather, it is that the manager attempted to refute the idea that I was not made aware of what the costs would be (and it appears that the manager continues to feel this way). For a different perspective, if a restaurant serves you a dish you did not order simply out of a misunderstanding, it is not the customer's responsibility to therefore pay for it simply because it was cooked and served -- that responsibility lies squarely on the restaurant.

Prompt and super friendly service, my lawn looks amazing & I will be using Good Guy's long term, as well as recommending to others- Shout out to Johnny B, who cut the lawn - he was the man.

Worst experience with this company! Our siding and a corner of our storage shed was destroyed by their weed whip last summer. After months of going back and forth through email and calls, I was told a manager would come out to look at the damage, and assess at that point. I never heard anything back, and no responses to my emails. I decided to call again last week, thinking they would now be open for the season, and left a message to speak with the manager. I received a call today, a year later, letting me know there is nothing they can do because my siding is installed wrong, and it's too close to the ground. I was advised to reach out to my builder and let them know they installed the siding incorrectly. I was shocked by this response. I live in a brand new subdivision, all the homes are built similar and no one else that used them had this issue. Their response was very rude and unprofessional. I've only lived in my home for 2 years and I now have to figure out how to get pieces of my siding replaced. What a terrible experience!

The Good Guys took down a large willow tree in our yard. They did a great job cleaning up and left the yard in better shape than before they came. They also arranged stump grinding, came back and removed the stump mulch and planted new grass.

Good guys goes above and beyond to do a really great job. I was very impressed with how hard they worked to make sure things were looking good. They really care about the finished product and won't just do the bare minimum.

This is an excellent company that cares about their customers and their employees. And it shows in the work they do.

we signed up with Good Guys Lawn care couple of months ago to cut own lawn. Our experience has not been as good as other reviewers have mentioned.

The positive:
- Great answering service staffs.
- The crew showed up on regularly on weekly basis.

The negative:
- sub-optimal lawn cutting.
- lawn cutting while raining 3 weeks back to back.
- Overgrown fee added despite cutting the grass within 6 days apart.
- leaving grass clumps on the lawn when cutting grass while raining.
- missing area (not cutting grass) around deck and trees.

We ended up cancelling the service with the Good Guys.

Zach is building a top notch organization. They value the redemptive nature of labor, hard work, integrity... & they model quality, reliability, & the list goes on. In a culture that has lost appreciation for 'the workin man', this is the Contractor you want to go with. 2 thumbs UP!!
