Representative undersold me, I still have a BIg electricity bill. Company does not want to make things right, they just give you their scripted response already on how solar truly benefits you long term and how they did nothing wrong. Not true. Paying more now than before I went solar. Do not recommend.

We've had a great experience working with this company. The solar panel installation process was smooth and fast, we were always informed about the next steps, and most importantly the system works without any problems. Special shout-out to Jesus who sold us the system for being patient as we took months to decide, and Ana who works in the office and is super responsive and helpful.

Here is my experience. They guaranteed production and if after 1 year the system did not meet the promise, they were supposed to install more panels at no charge. My system did not meet what was promised and when I call them on it, they didn’t not honor the contract . They cited language that was not in my contract to avoid making it right. Had I known, I would not have done business with this company.

Website is a hinderance. You need an account to report a system failure but it was impossible to obtain an account even after multiple requests and following their directions. (My first request for an account was 25 April. It's now 23 June and I still don't have an account). The robot in the lower right hand corner was useless in addressing my concerns. The office staff was not helpful. Miranda stated my husband's name was not on the account (false) and that we would be charged for the installation of the invertor (false), She called my husband to complain about my multiple requests for an on-line account. Not only do you need an account to report a system failure, but you also need one to look at the service ticket when you call in your system failure. Alan Morgan's "assistance" resolved nothing. After waiting a month for the invertor to arrive I called Miranda back and was told the invertor was back ordered. She would call when it arrived. I told her I'd check back the following week. Two hours later I got a text form her stating the invertor had arrived and we set a time for installation via my phone's text messaging. The day of the installation a message was sent to a wrong phone number resetting the installation time. A "Thank You" text was also sent to a wrong number after the installation was completed. The only positive thing out of this experience was Ivan, the technician, who installed the invertor. I am extremely disappointed with the "After-the-Sale Service" I received.

So far I am unsure of what they might have installed on my home.
$20,000 was the cost.
But it has failed 4 times now.
Only a year old.
Of course when it fails and does not produce electricity, that means I have to then pay for the electricity that we use until the company fixes the problem.
So when it fails, it takes them a week to get out to fix it.
A week.
All this costs us $30-40 in addition to the cost of the original installation.
Warranty work should take president over installations.
Great companies know this.
Unless they are a week behind on warranty work.
The problem has always been, each time , poor installation problems.
:-(

They called me back a few hours later and were able to do something remotely and it is up and running again.
Only down for 5-6 hours.

Solar Smart Living provided an excellent experience when replacing our SolarEdge inverter, which was still under warranty. We were particularly impressed with the professionalism and expertise of Mathew, the technician who handled the service.
From start to finish, the process was seamless. Solar Smart Living quickly assessed the issue and confirmed the inverter was covered by warranty. Scheduling the replacement was easy, and they were able to accommodate our availability.
Mathew, was truly outstanding. He arrived on time, was courteous, and clearly explained the steps he would take to replace the inverter. His knowledge of the SolarEdge system was evident, and he worked efficiently and meticulously. He ensured everything was installed correctly and thoroughly tested the new inverter to confirm it was functioning perfectly

For a technician to troubleshoot my solar meter, check the fuse box and internet connections repeatedly to make the system connect back to the internet. He also gave suggestions to make sure things were running smoothly.

Purchased our mini splits for all the bedrooms 2-3 years ago and absolutely love them. Possibly the best investment we've made in our house since we moved in.

A - Much quieter. B - We can freeze our bedroom at night to sleep without using $$$$ to cool the rest of the house. C - The air in our bedroom is noticeably cleaner. D - They cost way less to run than the central A/C unit.

Solar Smart Living is an exceptional solar energy company in El Paso, Texas. They installed a solar heating and cooling system in my home. The technician staff was very knowledgeable regarding the steps needed to switch HVAC from electricity to a SOLAR System. My home is so much more comfortable every day and night… weather does NOT determine my home’s heating nor cooling. This company deserves FIVE STARS‼️

They were extremely professional in setting up the appointment. Mathew, the technician, showed up exactly on time. He couldn’t have been more capable or concerned with the issues I was having with my solar panels. He bent over backwards to make sure my panels got up and running, which included an hour and a half in the phone with the manufacturer. I’m impressed.
If you’ve never dealt with solar panel installers - watch out. So many are going to rip you off and not provide what you need. Use Solar Smart Living - they were A+

Solar Smart Living turned out to be a great company. I was a little sceptical because it was hard to contact them at first but when the technician came to service my solar system he was amazing. So professional and knowledgeable. He really knows his stuff. He showed me all about the system and how to tell if it's working properly and some safety info that was very helpful. Mr. Gonzales was amazing and the best repair and service person I've dealt with in years.
I would definitely encourage anyone to make this company your go to for all your solar needs. I was impressed.

The representatives need to be more clear in their explanation of what the customer is about to be paying for several years. From that point forth, if something changes, they need to give a better explanation of why it's changing and it needs to be addressed and it needs to be as changed.

I had the pleasure of working with Ofelia Cossío at Solar Smart Living, and I cannot speak highly enough of her professionalism and dedication. Ofelia went above and beyond in providing me with detailed information and guiding me through the best options for solar energy for my home. Her knowledge and customer service were truly outstanding, making the process much smoother and more understandable.

However, while Ofelia was exceptional, the overall experience with Solar Smart Living was somewhat marred by poor communication from the company as a whole. I found myself constantly having to reach out for updates, which was frustrating. This was not due to Ofelia, but rather other representatives who were less responsive. If Solar Smart Living improved their communication practices, I would have gladly given them a 5-star rating.

Overall, Ofelia did an amazing job, and I would highly recommend working with her if you're considering solar energy. If the company can address its communication issues, they would be top-notch in every aspect.

I was given an appointment of 10 am and the serviceman arrived at 11 am. I was given a generic bill with no itemized description. I was told that the computer at smart living had gone down and kick me out from the online monitoring and I was charged for it. It wasn't my internet for equipment that was defective.

Update: After 3 years the service is still horrible. They told me they would stop by to check on one of the panels, they got here 40 min late, they never called to let me know they were running late. I had to leave when the tech got here. He stated he would call me and let me know what was the issue. Never got a call, I called the office to see what the issue was, they told me they would call me right back once they talked to the tech. One day later I still have not heard from the tech or front office. But I did have to pay for service call fee of $85. The stars will keep going down.

The three stars is more for the office personnel. There scheduling system is substandard, 15 min before they arrived they told me I was on the schedule. The technician are very friendly and pleasant no problem there. The day they started they were missing things in the work order i.e. 2 additional panels among othere things. Like I said the stars is more for the office people.

Well, I will let you be the Judge. If you purchased a NEW PRODUCT you expect to last at least 10 years if it is an improvement of your home since the depreciation is normally 15, 27.5, or 39 years without any problems. I do not know if this is a good quality product?? I purchased the Solar in 2021 and after two years (2023) the Inverted was defective and they came and changed it. On June 2024 the Solar stop working. I reported & fixed it but they did not tell me what went wrong. Now, my SolarMeter was going on and off and they came to fix it. They charged me for a product that suppose to be new. If it did not last for 3years then what type of product do they used. A real bad product so I do not have to say it worse.

They made sure that I understood that they will charge me if I call again. Why am I getting charge for an inferior product they used and now I am paying the consequences. A decent person or business would try to take responsibility of their mistakes and try to fix it. I do not have a problem with that but try to avoid their responsibilities by charging us is not correct.

I have lost money when the Solar is not working and to top it off I loose money with the charges. Double the expense.

I feel sorry for the people that purchased the Solar and they are still paying for it. They are paying 400%interest and many of them did not get the credit because it was a non-refundable credit, which means that if you do not owe taxes then there is no credit.

Just had Solar Smart Living install a Level 2 ChargePoint Home Flex charging station for my Electric Vehicle. I am beyond impressed. As a test, I drove my EV approximately 90 miles before charging at the L2 Station. I was able up to the maximum charge in under 3 hours. On a dedicated circuit, I was able to charge about 30 miles per hour of charging for all of about $2 USD at nominal utility rates. This *sure* beats paying gas prizes. Don't think I will ever buy another gas vehicle again.
