Excellent planning, and great communication from Nate and Nick, along with Mariella and her team made working with SmartRoof a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend SmartRoof.

It has taken me some time to sit and digest the good and bad. Work done was Oct-Nov of 2024. They replaced our roof, siding, gutters, soffits and facia. Do I want to slander a company and ruin them, no. But do I recommend their services? No way, and want to warn others about the issues I had. The roof could be considered exceptable (maybe), but the siding, soffits and facia was a complete and utter nightmare. I was essentially the project manager, and had to keep drawing attention to what was wrong and unacceptable. They would half way fix the problem, I'd ask why this is considered fixed and they'd make excuses why it was okay. The actual project manager was condescending, dismissive and did not follow-up on requests. Workmanship was so sloppy! I think most of the workers were in training or didn't know exactly what they were doing, and were not being supervised. They did keep coming back to "try" to correct what I asked, but honestly, it should have been a new team to do the work (which I requested and escalated from the start and they did not). I gave 2 stars because some of the people during the process were trying to be helpful, but ultimately I am extremely displeased with the quality and the hassle of the whole project. The wrong type of siding (dutchlap, not clapboard) was ordered, wrong color on the facia. They used wrong sized opening for the radon fan vent, it stopped working, so instead of replacing the pipe they cut off the top. Debris then fell down into the fan and was clunking. They didn't know how to fix it, so I problem solved it for them. Gaps in the facia, miscuts, nail divots, caulking wasn't smoothed over, and general horrible workmanship. The number of stories and issues with this project are endless. I'd have them keep coming back to fix things, but the problems were ultimately from top to bottom. It just needed all to be redone, which obviously wasn't an option for the company. They came back probably over 10 times to try to fix some of the issues, but none of them should have happened if they were skilled at siding. I thought they were going to ditch the project at some point and leave us on the hook for the cost, but they didn't (1/2 star given). I just hope that our house holds up in all of these storms we've been having, and that it doesn't get overcome with pests.

Nathan Jerge was exceptional to work with. He was always responsive and the crew that came out worked so diligently they were done in 1.5 days. I couldn’t be happier.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE PERIOD!!!!! They care about the customer, if you have issues they fix them to your satisfaction. Quality of work, and cleanup was exceptional. Completed roof in one day, completed gutters in half day. Would use again for future projects. Jon and Nick were great at resolving my issues!!!! A+ company

From my first meeting with their sales rep to my roof being completed, SmartRoof was awesome!! Every step of the way, wonderful people that truly understand customer service. Our sales rep Tylen promised he would be with us throughout the process, including making an insurance claim and he was true to his word. They showed up when promised, on the job by 7:30 am and didn’t stop until they were done that same day. Thank you!!

DO NOT TRUST SMART ROOF, LLC – THEY ARE DISHONEST LIARS!

RUN as fast as you can away from Smart Roof, LLC! They are manipulative, dishonest, and will say anything to get you to sign a contract—only to hit you with unexpected charges later. I learned this the hard way, and I’m writing this review to warn others before they fall into the same trap.

Smart Roof knocked on my door out of the blue in 2023, claiming they could inspect my roof for free due to a hurricane on June 26, 2023 (which I didn’t even recall happening). They assured me—repeatedly—that if they found damage, they would handle everything with my homeowner’s insurance, and **I wouldn’t pay a dime out of pocket**. That was the key promise that made me agree to let them inspect my roof.

The Lies Begin
After the inspection, they identified supposed "damage" and promised to get my insurance company to cover a brand-new roof and gutters. The insurance company, however, sent out an adjuster who found NO damage. Smart Roof told me not to worry, claiming insurance companies just “don’t want to pay.” They encouraged me to appeal the decision twice, and on the third attempt, the adjuster finally approved a $25,000 claim for a new roof.

Smart Roof immediately scheduled a meeting to discuss materials and the scope of work. In the meantime, I did my due diligence and got a second estimate from another well-reviewed roofing company, which quoted me $22,000 for everything—roof, gutters, and upgraded gutter covers. But I decided to stay loyal to Smart Roof since they had done all the legwork. That was my mistake.

The Bait and Switch
At my design meeting, Smart Roof presented a massive 25-page proposal filled with flashy digital renderings. I let them do their pitch without mentioning my second estimate, just to see what their numbers looked like. And guess what? Their quote came out to $29K

I looked them in the eye and reminded them of their original promise: "This will NOT cost you one dime out of pocket." They reassured me once again, saying they’d go back to the insurance company to get the extra costs covered.

I foolishly believed them. I signed their contract digitally on their computer, trusting their word instead of reading the fine print.

The Final Scam
The work was completed, and Smart Roof immediately sent me an invoice for more than the $25,000 insurance payout. I was confused. My insurance company confirmed they had paid the full amount approved and wouldn’t cover a penny more.

I called Smart Roof, expecting this to be a mistake. Instead, they coldly told me: "You signed the contract. You owe the difference.”

I was in shock. I had given them every cent of my insurance payout, so why was I suddenly on the hook for more money? They claimed I had requested an expensive "Golden Pledge Warranty" that added $3,500 in extra charges

When I pushed back, their attitude changed completely. They stopped being friendly and started using the contract as a weapon against me. Their entire promise of “no out-of-pocket costs” was a lie. They manipulated me into thinking they were working for my best interests when, in reality, they were padding the bill and squeezing me for more money.

Final Warning to Homeowners
I ultimately paid the difference just to be done with this nightmare, but I’ll never make that mistake again. Smart Roof, LLC is a dishonest company that will mislead you, overcharge you, and trap you in a contract full of hidden costs.

DO NOT HIRE SMART ROOF, LLC. If they knock on your door, slam it shut. If they claim they’ll get your insurance to cover everything, they are lying.

If you must deal with them, use them to get your insurance approval—then take your insurance money and hire an HONEST company** with a straightforward contract and a solid reputation. I wish I had done that instead.

Read their terrible reviews. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

Smart Roof, LLC is a scam in disguise. RUN

They came knocking on our door about filing a claim after a storm in September. For awhile we'd get excuses on what was taking so long. Now it's January and they don't even respond any more. I highly suggest you stop knocking on doors making promises and obviously taking on more work than you can handle. Definitely wouldn't recommend

The greatest salesman ever. He did everything. From working on the insurance claim, to following up on the insurance claim, to answering all my questions. Then the project team explained everything in detail. Then the construction crew was very professional, detailed, cleaned up perfectly. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience with SmartRoof and the outcome of the project. As with any construction project, challenges arose, but SmartRoof handled each one with professionalism and integrity. When an unexpected rainstorm hit one night, they returned in the middle of it to ensure everything on the roof was securely tarped. They also accidentally broke my security sign in the yard but promptly replaced it the next day. Their commitment to detail and customer care truly set them apart.

Smart Roof Roofing is a 5 star contractor and among the best I have ever dealt with. They deliver a quality product and service that is quite remarkable. Nathan Jerge helped me all along the project. Communications were efficient and processional. I would recommend the Smart Roof Company to anyone.

Smart roof helped me navigate my insurance claim. From Mr. Kalnem , Mr Cruz to Mr De Haven all very helpful and accessible. The crew did a excellent clean and timely job.

They were great! They had to move all of our outside furniture (we thought they could work around it) and all of our planters and they put them all back exactly where they originally were! A supervisor stopped by or texted everyday they were here. Roof and gutters look great!

The windows installed are beautiful. My salesman Jesse DiDomenico was very professional, and followed up with everything. My installer Urie, was fast and professional, and showed me how to work them easily. I am quite pleased and would recommend the windows and service highly.

Job is done perfectly and completed on time, the crew cleaned job site. And when completed, a supervisor performed a full inspections to make sure everything was done according to their high standards. Job well done.
