6/15/25- Sunday night- I unfortunately broke down about 20 miles away from Beckley, West Virginia. I was on my way home to Georgia from Pennsylvania. Broke down that afternoon and got AAA to haul my jeep to the closest dealership which ended up being Sheets Cryster Dodge Jeep.

6/16/25- Monday Morning- talked to someone at the dealership around 8:40 as they had questions about what happened to my Jeep. I explained that it was overheating while traveling the previous day. I also explained very early that morning that I was from Georgia and made it very clear that if the car wouldn’t been seen today that we needed to get back on the road and go home to our child with plans on coming to pick it back up when It was seen. I also told them that we had to be out of our hotel room at noon and we would be waiting on a call. Well noon rolls around and I call the dealership for an update. Spoke to that same guy I did that morning and he said “nobody has looked at the car yet” and couldn’t answer when it might be seen. When we arrived at the dealership we spoke to a lady at the service desk that said “you not getting seen today, there are 4 people in front of you”. I was highly upset because the guy I spoke to earlier that morning didn’t mention any of this and we could have been on the road traveling home HOURS earlier. Either way, at that point we headed home and got home around 11:00 that night. The guy at the dealership explained that the jeep wasn’t throwing any “codes” signifying that anything was wrong with it so it needed to be looked into more and it would be $180. I told him we needed some sort of answers so that was fine…

6/17/25- Tuesday- I called for an update and was told that nobody has had a chance to look at the car yet and had no idea as to when someone would.

6/18/25- Wednesday- called and the guy stated it’s been “assigned to a tech” but nobody has looked at it yet and had no idea as to when someone would be able to look at it.

6/19/25- Thursday- I called around 11:00 and spoke to the same guy I spoke to on the previous days. He gave me the same answer as all the other days. He didn’t want to give me an answer because he stated he didn’t want to “lie” to me. I then asked to speak to the manager because I really needed to know if my jeep was even going to be looked at this week. If it wasn’t then I needed to make arrangements to pick it up. It was really hard to believe that there were only four people in front of me on Monday and my Jeep still hadn’t been seen by Thursday.
Fast forward to 4:30ish I called the dealership again as I haven’t heard from the manager and wanted an update. The same guy answered and he finally had an update for me. He stated that I needed a new radiator and temperature gauge. He stated it would be $2,300 (before tax) to install. I obviously wasn’t paying that amount of money to replace a couple hundred dollar part so I made other arrangements by renting a car hauler and hauling it home on Saturday.

Saturday- 6/21/25- when we came to get the car to load it up on the car hauler, the oil dipstick was left on top of the motor and the radiator cap was also on top of the motor and wasn’t replaced. Good thing we check before we hit the road. We made it home that night finally after hours of driving

Monday- 6/23/25- mechanic checked it out and couldn’t find anything wrong with the car. It cost me $100 to have him check it out. Radiator fluid was low which was the only issues but he ran it for multiple hours and never found a leak... how crazy is that?

I have now been driving the car for almost two weeks now and there has been no leak nor has the fluid level changed in the radiator. I’m not sure if it was just a freak accident or someone intentionally drained to fluid to mimic a problem that needed to fixed since they initially found nothing wrong with the car. This whole experience has cost me hundreds of dollars but Overall I’m glad I didn’t trust them and replaced the whole radiator for $2,300 before tax.

By far the most unfavorable in servicing a vehicle! If your vehicle needs service, I suggest you take it somewhere else. Starting with phone calls, not being placed in a timely manner to the warranty department, to not having parts, my vehicle has been there over a month and is still not fixed.

I’m extremely disappointed in the way I’ve been treated by Sheets, especially as a returning customer. You’d think repeat business would mean something to them — clearly, it doesn’t.

I called multiple times regarding an issue and was either placed on hold indefinitely or hung up on completely. When I left a negative survey about my experience, they didn’t try to fix the problem — instead, they intentionally retaliated by giving me even worse service. That’s right — instead of addressing the feedback professionally, they took it personally and doubled down on the bad treatment.

I’ve never felt so dismissed or disrespected by a business I previously trusted. If you value customer service and want to be treated like a human being, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

I would give sheets a rating of negative 5. I took my jeep there for a recall and asked them to if they were able to determine why it drives like a tank while it was there. I was called and informed that the bushings need replaced on the sway bar and the cost for repairs would be 2209.00 plus tax for parts and labor. I was told by the service department that the bushings can't be purchased without replacing the sway bar also. Auto works sells the bushings for 26.00 without replacing the sway bar. I was charged 183.00 for the service dept to tell me my vehicle needs 2209.00 plus tax in repairs. What I find extremely frustrating is that Sheets refused to return my vehicle until I paid the cost of 183.00 and I was not informed that there would be a cost or I would have declined this and taken my vehicle to a local garage. I'm certain that to replace a 26.00 part will not cost 2209.00 plus tax elsewhere and the charge of 183.00 should have been discussed prior to practicing extortion so that I could get my car back.
RIP OFF DEALERSHIP

I had an issue where my anti- theft lug nut key was stripped out by another service provider & I stopped into Sheets Jeep in Beckley to see if they had a master key. Even though they were slammed with other customers the day after Christmas, Colton (spelling?), at the service desk, took a few minutes of his time to at least try & help me. He was nice, polite & even though he could not help me fully, his efforts were appreciated! When I am ready to purchase a new Jeep, I'll be coming here to see the sales department.

I am a person who does not like high pressure sales. Unlike most other dealerships Cole and Gary were willing to work with me to get the deal I wanted without pressuring me and making me feel uncomfortable. The vehicle I came to look at was sold the day before but they found an identical one they were able to transfer from another dealership. They sent me home that night with a loaner full of gas. The next afternoon they had my car. I came back and traded the loaner for the vehicle I had purchased. They also filled it up with gas. I was thankful for that as I had driven an hour to get the right deal on this vehicle. The price was better than any other dealership closer to me.

First off, I’d just like to say that our family has done business with Sheets for over a decade. We’ve purchased three brand new vehicles here since January 2012, and my wife has always been treated fairly when at the dealership for service on those vehicles.

Today was a different story altogether unfortunately. While getting some routine maintenance, including an oil change, four-wheel alignment and state inspection, the service department informed her that she needed to replace the brakes on her 2021 Grand Cherokee L, or else they wouldn’t be able to pass the vehicle for inspection.

West Virginia now inspects vehicles every other year, and the service technician specifically told her that the brakes did NOT need replaced at this exact moment, and more specifically, didn’t even cite a specific time over the next 24 months, in which the repair would need to be made. The only explanation the technician could offer was that he felt like it should be done sometime in the next two years, but that it wasn’t bad enough that he recommended it be done immediately. Essentially, the service department was attempting to strong-arm her into a brake replacement at an expense of around $1200.

Little did they know, my wife doesn’t respond affirmatively to a car dealership attempting to intimidate a woman into making unnecessary repairs. Moreover, the attempted shakedown likely resulted in the dissolution of the business relationship between Sheets and our family. It’s just very disappointing to see a local business not doing the right thing by a loyal customer when they had the chance.

Less than an hour later, my wife was able to take the vehicle to a local garage less than two miles down the road who checked the breaks thoroughly and informed her there was nothing preventing the vehicle from passing inspection. They passed the vehicle and accepted our business without any suggested upcharge of unwarranted repair.

I certainly hope this individual doesn’t represent the values and mission statement of this dealership as a whole, otherwise, they’ll be in graver danger than the prospect of losing just one family as part of their customer base.

Called to schedule my car for an oil change.
I called 2 times waiting over 30 minutes total for the service sept to answer their phone. Called back the 3rd time and they said that they were short staffed and only 1 person working in the service sept and he was trying to do everything.
So finally he answers and I told him that I needed an oil change, he then asked me for my VIN number (had to run to the car) after he had it he said sorry, we are booked for the next several months and we are not taking any new customers. I didn’t know that you had to be THEIR customer for them to service your car and if I had been I would’ve not brought my car in. These people were very rude and who wants to want over 30 minutes on hold these days.

2014 Dodge Ram 3500 threw a DEF code while on our way from NE Ohio to NC. Stopped in Sheetz with less than 100 miles til engine limp mode set in. The service dept was slam packed but Tim helped us out!! Did a code check, found a recall update and got our code cleared!! BIG Thanks to Tim and the counter man from Ohio, sorry didn’t catch his name, yall really helped us out!! I’d give you 10 stars if I could!! Awesome dealership and awesome people!!

Sunroof started leaking after warranty ran out and extended warranty would not cover the leakage. Was dealing with Leah in the services department, she was wonderful, she was able to get sunroof cover by Chrysler Dodge. I'm so thankful to her.
