Shanco Roofing

In April 2025, I had my roof and gutters replaced by SHANCO, after receiving quotes from 5 other contractors. The experience with SHANCO was outstanding. Their salesperson, Jacob Conway, described their process and products, answered the many questions I had prepared, and answered follow-up questions that I had after our meeting. Additionally, he came back to my home, upon my request, to review the contract with me.

For the roof I selected GAF Timberline UHDZ shingles and Deck Armor underlayment. For the Gutters they installed a K-Style Seamless Gutter system, with Leaf Relief leaf and debris guards.

Their Sr. Project Manager Chad Williams was great contacting me ahead of the scheduled work date for the roof and talking me through the process. He was there on site the entire time, keeping me informed of what was occurring, and assured we were safe entering and leaving the house, the work was completed correctly, and the roof, sidewalks, and streets were clean and cleared of all nails and debris afterwards. After the gutters were installed, he performed a walk through with me to assure that the work was completed to my satisfaction and told me to contact him if I had any issues or questions. I will repeat what other reviews have said, in that is he told me that he would treat the project like it was his own roof, and he did!

I highly recommend SHANCO to anyone who is considering getting their roof replaced; as their customer service, quality of their work/products used, and warranty are hard to beat.

I had a new roof installed 4/15/25 by Shanco Roofing (Chad Williams, Sr. Project Manager / Trevor McEachron, sales). My home's roof is a simple, squashed salt-box style. The roof is flat, no dormers, no hip joints, no valleys, no skylights, 1 chimney, easy access and easy pitch to walk. Very basic and easy to shingle. The job included some fascia board replacement and two gutters with Gorilla guard on the back side of the house (this work was performed by a different sub-contractor that Shanco uses). It took ~16 total squares (1 square = 10' x 10' = 100 sq ft) of architectural shingles, ice dam underlayment, and cost about $15k all in.

4. Warm referral and could inspect their work ahead of time.

They previously completed a roof on an identical home in my neighborhood for friends who reported having a good experience with no issues. I obtained competitive quotes from several Northern Virginia roofers commonly seen in 22042, 22003, 22046 zips. Shanco was NOT the cheapest.

I have experience roofing and have laid a few squares, built chimney crickets, etc. over the years. My initial inspection of their completed work looks good. I am hoping the quality and workmanship hold up over time. I will report back.

After noticing a missing shingle, I reached out to Shanco Roofing based on a neighbor's recommendation. They promptly conducted a comprehensive roof inspection the following day and identified wind and hail damage. The representative was highly knowledgeable, addressing all my questions regarding the insurance claim process. My new roof was installed the end of November 2024 due to storm damage. The whole process from start to finish with Shanco was excellent. The process of getting a new quality roof for a reasonable price is definitely a process. We had over 10+ companies come out to give us an estimate some high and some low with questionable practices, long Fence would not leave our house basically had to force them out they had a very aggressive pitch and 4k more than Shanco. The process of having companies out was stressful, but Christian M came out and gave us an estimate without any of the shenanigans and no pressure buy now tactics, he explained everything and the process. I called a friend who is a roofer in NY, and I gave him the rundown of every company and he said Shanco is the best deal with quality materials.

Shanco has an amazing team of professionals to plan, execute and deliver the final product. We got our roof installed within one day. Special shout-out to Morgan King - Outside Sales Manager, and Bruce Lemon – Production Manager as they have been hand-on since Day 1 and also are in constant communication to keep you posted along the day. My first experience with Shanco was with Morgan King, outside sales manager. He was very personable and well spoken about the entire roofing process. After meeting Morgan we knew we had picked the best roofers around.

Kyle Yurick, project coordinator was very helpful over the phone. He kept us informed on updates about the roof including product delivery and best non rain dates for installation.

Bruce Lemon, production manager arrived with the crew on install day. He was the go to person for all roofing concerns. He was on the roof inspecting and/or helping out his crew when he could. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the roof before they completed the job. Bruce was easy to talk to and answered all our crazy questions during the entire process.

The crew were here for two long 13+hour days. They worked diligently and were very careful to cover all shrubs, decking and front entrance. Both days they spent a lot of time cleaning up, no nails left behind.

I have been in the roofing industry for ten years. I decided to go with Shanco & I am glad that I did! My project manager Chad Williams did an amazing job of keeping communications throughout the entire process. This made me feel very accommodated and love as a customer. This company really knows how to do things right and I would recommend them to everybody. Not only was the roof completed to my liking, but the crew was very professional from inception to completion. I particularly like how they tarp off my deck, front porch, and use plywood against my garage doors to make sure nothing was damaged. The crew arrived on time around 7 AM and begin the tear off. They were finished with the job by

My house was constructed using Structural Insulated Panels rather than standard stick framing. Several roofing companies declined to undertake a roof replacement because they lacked the ability to do the job or possibly were only interested in quick-money jobs. Shanco was different. Everyone involved in the project was tremendous, from Morgon King the sales rep who dealt with the insurance company, Chad Williams

Chad Williams went above and beyond the call of duty when it came to my roof project. Chad and his crew were always on time and they left the project clean once they left. He was always available by phone and answered any questions I had with great detail. He even sent me before and after pictures which I really appreciated. Chad treated my home like it was his own. Bruce Lemon and his team were on time, worked efficiently and finished in one day. The work crew were professional and efficient. The area front and back including our neighbors decks and ground levels were cleaned, including broom magnetic to get all the nails. Over all very impressed.

We had a wonderful experience with the purchase and insulation of our new roof. First of all, the new roof looks wonderful. Jacob Conway was our consultant all the way up to installation and did a great job helping my wife pick out type and color of the new roof and complete all the paperwork. That was very helpful. Under the direction of the Sr. Project Manager Chad Williams, he and his crew were exactly on time, covered everything and left the grounds cleaner than they found them. Chad was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the installation and clean up. The roofing crew was polite and worked very hard and the beautiful roof is a testament to that. In July of 2023 we had concerns about our roof, which appeared quite worn. Kevin Henderson from Shanco Roofing came out and conducted an inspection which revealed that our concerns were legitimate. With our approval Kevin reached out to our homeowner's insurance company and arranged to meet an Adjuster at the property to evaluate his findings. The Adjuster did in fact agree that a roof replacement was warranted and initiated the process. Kevin Henderson was instrumental in managing the process and scheduling the project.

Had Baron (sales person) come out and say that he could replace the roof through home owners insurance. I thought this was a scam, but i was wrong. The catch is that you do have to pay your home owner's insurance deductible and if needing new roof boards then that would be extra. Process was fairly fast and we got a new roof paid for by the insurance company. A few months later, our shed had some flashing material bow out and become no longer flush with the siding. Chad Williams came out and he was able to assess the situation and advise that he would have to come back since he didn't have the bending machine with him. Chad also had mentioned that since there was no roof vent for the hot air inside the shed to go out that he would see if he would be approved to install the vent. A few days later Chad returned with all the materials needed and he even had the roof vent ready to go. Within a few hours, and 1 trip to the warehouse to get new shingles, i have a professionally repaired and vented shed. Can't say enough about the knowledge and professionalism Chad displayed. I am generally distrustful of overly positive reviews. In this case; however, the rating and review are warranted.

To say I was impressed with Shanco's work would be an understatement. Major work done in one's home is never without complications. The replacement of our roof on 5/10/2023 has to be the exception. It was well planned, well supervised, and carefully executed. I kept waiting for something to go wrong, but can happily say, every detail was handled smoothly. Photos of the inspection, the removal of the old roof material, and the installation of all the new material, in stages, were provided to us as part of their service. Documenting their work in this way showed a level of professionalism and attention to detail one would hope for from anyone doing major work in one's home. Chad Williams, the Sr. Project Manager, and his crew were courteous, prompt, efficient, and professional. Thank you for such a positive experience.
Additionally, as part of their service, Shanco, through a public adjuster, handled our insurance claim directly, taking the stress away from us of having to navigate that process.

Shanco Roofing was fantastic to work with, we had some issues with our roof caused by storm damage and our insurance refused to cover initially so we were in the market for a contractor to work on our aging roof. Mercedes was confident & informative that Shanco could assist, providing a chunk of information about routes to push to get Approval. *Skipping all the boring steps of working with insurance, we were eventually approved for a replacement*

Scheduling was extremely quick, and due to the size of our roof they were able to drop materials off 1 day & finish the entire Roof the next. The Project Manager Chad was extremely knowledgeable & professional, the team started first thing in the morning and he was there throughout the day to check on progress & answer any questions/concerns we had. My neighbor sent me a text that afternoon "I'm in awe of how fast those workers worked!" and so was I. Very pleased with the quality & the attention to detail in cleaning up the job-site after a long day on the roof.

Main project aside, we did have some small damages to the cedar siding (original to home & extremely brittle), Chad insisted on returning and spent several hours working to remedy & repair the area. He caulked all of the seams & cut a few pieces of extra siding to replace the damaged areas. It truly was a pleasure to work with Chad, his team, Mercedes & Shanco as a whole to get our roof replaced.

I contacted my insurance company right after the hail storm in July 2022. I notice the granules coming off the shingles at alarming rate. My insurance said the damage did not warrant a new roof. My wife noticed Shanco doing other roofs in the neighbor hood and called them. Dylan worked with us to dispute what the insurance company denied. When the work was scheduled Chad was our project manager and kept us informed of what they found and how work was progressing. The crew knocked the new roof out in one long day. Very good experience with Shanco.

I called to schedule someone to come out to look at a hole in my barn roof, a recent storm caused it. The time came and went and I had meetings. I called and they said he would be right out. He shows up and is nice and took pictures. It's been about a month and now quote. I called 2 times over the last month and I was told it will be sent and confirmed my email address. It is not in my Spam folder either. Still nothing, not even calling me back. I won't do business with them even if they send it tomorrow. I don't trust them to show up to do the work.

Chad Williams, the project manager and Evelyn, the supervisor of the crew assigned to our roof replacement were fantastic! they crew did an awesome job and put in a very long day and replaced the entire roof of our large home in one day! That was great for us since we could get back to our normal life. Many roof replacements take at least a couple of days to complete the work for the size of our roof. They were all very professional and courteous and the quality of work was first class! Couldn't be happier and have already started recommending Shanco to everyone that I think may be looking to have their roof replaced.

I did my roof with Shanco Roofing Company, they did a excellent work very professional, the crew was very early on time , clean and hard working guys , they leave not only a very nice looking new roof , but very clean after they finish , and not only that the Manger are very on the site job from beginning of work and after the work is done they arrive next day they come a inspected all work and around my whole house to check for any debris around , Bruce and jake are very detail oriented project manager , they make sure the job is done properly with a high quality standard, material and knowledgeable. A Shanco representative stopped by and stated there was a potential that my roof was damaged in a recent storm and asked if I would be interested in having my roof inspected for damage. They promptly inspected my roof and the rest of the exterior, pointed out where the damage was, and worked with my insurance thought out the claim process. I cannot recommend Shanco highly enough! I was putting off roof replacement for years, and I saw that Shanco had replaced a few roofs in my neighborhood, so I reached out to them. A very friendly and professional Shanco sales rep, Dylan, reached out to me, inspected the roof for free, and walked me through the insurance claims process. There was no sales pressure at all. I needed to increase my roof and siding insurance coverage, but the Shanco rep was patient with me during this process. Soon afterward, we filed a claim with my insurance over the phone, and got the ball rolling. Thankfully my insurance approved the claim, so I signed a service contract, and set a build date. The roof replacement crew led by Bruce was great, and they worked very fast with minimal interruption to us and my neighbors. The end result was a beautiful new roof. Shanco did a very impressive job with my roof replacement. Bruce and his crew are, without a doubt, pros at what they do. Very professional and courteous crew and Bruce perfectly managed the removal of light debris picked up by wind gust and the team was very conscience of my neighbors, ensuring that surrounding areas were left in as good if not better condition as they found it. The cleanup was impeccable. Except for the beautiful new roof, one would never know they were here. Unsurpassed quality!
