Charlie came out right away and completed a thorough and honest inspection of the condition of our roof. Every team member had prompt communication and dependable follow through. Maria was always available to answer any questions and Angela did an expert job in coordination. The project was well organized and completed on schedule. The workers were true professionals that delivered high quality installation with tidiness and respect of our property. R.M. Banning even shared photos of the completed project afterwards that confirmed our great decision of choosing this company!

I highly recommend Javier Cano and RM Banning for many projects - not just roofing. RM Banning was recommended to me by a real estate agent friend to replace the roof on our townhouse. He came out quickly, was professional, and didn't try to upsell us. A piece of siding had blown off in a storm, which he put back on. I asked if we needed to replace the siding and he said just get it cleaned. He also gave us fair quotes and did excellent work on the roof, all the wood trim, and gutters. He kept in constant touch with me while the jobs were going on, and sent pictures along the way. I am working with him now on quotes for a fence repair. I will use him for all projects going forward. I cannot say enough positive things about Javier and RM Banning.

I took advantage of Banning's special pricing for a roof inspection. It was easy to schedule and afterwards I received a comprehensive report with photos of the condition of my roof. No major issues but I did have them do a bit of preventative maintenance which was easy to schedule and at a reasonable cost. Afterward, I received another report with photos of the completed work. Highly recommended.

I completed some loose trim work that was flapping in the wind using R.M. Banning. The process was straightforward. I sent photos and Google images of the house, and they promptly sent me a very reasonable quote. I had a few questions, which they answered promptly. I had also requested quotes from other companies, but R.M. Banning was significantly cheaper. Initially, I was hesitant to choose them, but I read positive reviews. I decided to give them a try, and they came out to make the repair. While they were working, they noticed another piece that was about to loosen and secured it as a courtesy. I was amazed and grateful for their on-the-spot attention to detail. They also mentioned another area that needed replacement work, so they sent me a quote for that as well. I had that repaired too. The employees on-site, the job foreman, and the office staff were all professional and polite. I have no qualms about recommending this company for any work.

Start to finish. Everyone at RM BANNING did a great job. Initial consult Javier noted the details and stayed in touch onsite and via phone the entire time. Communication with the office was great and they fielded lots of follow up calls and they were patient with my many questions. Very helpful. They knew how to navigate the HOA. Was very happy with the work the team from Banning did to replace our roof and trim work. Wrapping the freeze boards and other exposed wood was especially labor intensive but the workers were patient and did a great job.

I had a longstanding leak that got worse over time -- when I contacted RM Banning, they got back to me promptly by email and sent a technician the next day. The technician (Javier) was knowledgeable, personable, did not try to sell me a new roof (unlike other contractors who I had reached out to about the problem), and spent time trying to figure what the problem was. He then did some repairs that we hope will prevent further leaks.
No heavy rain since repairs were made, but I am optimistic he fixed the problem.

RM Banning first replaced a roof on our house in 2015 and we were pleased with the results and price.  Recently a tree feel into our roof at a new home. I contacted Daniel from RM Banning the day it occurred and he was at our property within an hour.  Daniel greatly assisted in navigating the insurance process, and ultimately completed the repairs (inclusive of replacing the entire roof) in a timely, efficient manner.  I really cannot recommend this company enough.

Banning was able to help us following the purchase of a home. Although a problem was found during inspection, the magnitude wasn’t fully disclosed. Banning was able to correctly diagnose the issue, propose a plan, and implement the solution. They weren’t the cheapest quote that we received, but they felt like one of the most competent.

Responded promptly and did excellent repair work on loose siding flashing/rake metal. Very efficient. RM Banning has been our roofer for 33 years and would recommend them to anyone, including our neighbor who put on a new Banning roof a month ago!

I recently had RM Banning Company install a new roof on my home. They have done so on two previous occasions, 1988 and 2005. I selected them again without doing any market research because of my memorable experience with their dedication to making sure their customer received the best service they could provide from start to finish. The work started with a very comprehensive assessment of the condition of my roof (outside and inside), my chimney, and gutter system accompanied with photos of what was found. When the actual work started, all the teams actually showed up earlier than scheduled. I was kept informed of progress and issues by the team chiefs. Cleanup was equally impressive - hard to tell they were even at my home! The office staff provided me with prompt service in scheduling the various teams and providing me with the invoices. So, all-in-all, another great experience with RM Banning Company!

I'm very satisfied with my experience. High winds had blown down an antenna on my roof which was installed by the previous owner. The screw holes from the downed antenna were allowing water to leak into one of my upstairs closets. I called the office on a Friday afternoon and Javier Cano was at my home on Monday morning. Javier was able to repair the damage during the initial visit. While he was here, I also had him remove an old Direct TV dish. All holes were caulked along with the installation of new underlayment and shingles. While he was on the roof, Javier also noticed that a vent pipe needed to be re-caulked so he took care of that as well.

Really satisfied with my experience with RM Banning. I had a minor siding repair and they responded quickly and professionally. Went above and beyond to ensure the siding was cleaned up after a wind storm. I am further considering them for a whole home siding replacement so another review may follow - but with my first experience, I'm am incredibly pleased all around. Charlie came over and assessed our roof. He let me know we'd need a new roof and wouldn't recommend fixing the leak as it wouldn't last and would be wasting money. I plugged a hole in one valley which stopped the leak there, but sure enough, another leak sprung in the opposite valley a few months later. RM Banning had the best price for the same high quality materials and were pretty much done in one day. A professional crew who did a great job. Thanks!

Very satisfied with our roof and gutter replacement project. We’re repeat customers, having hired them for storm damage repair previously. Their workmanship, fair pricing, and the thoroughness of the office staff's communication (thanks Angela & Maria!) made it an easy call when the full replacement became necessary. This project was once again overseen by Charlie - a true GEM! He is hands-on, accessible, and extremely knowledgeable. He helped us pick the best products for our house & patiently advised as we dealt with some last-minute HOA and neighbor wrinkles. The work crew was fully staffed, well equipped, and did a good job ensuring that debris from the old roof was contained and cleaned up. After a storm took shingles off our roof causing a water leak in the house we called around to get an emergency tarp and repair done. So glad we selected RM Banning to help us! They were so easy to deal with. Came out immediately to tarp the roof at a fair and reasonable price. Quickly gave us a quote for a permanent fix and voila - all done! Last November a tree branch pierced my roof during a storm. R.M. Banning was there for me every step of the way. First, they patched the hole in my roof during the immediate aftermath of the storm, when other companies weren't even willing to get on the roof. They then helped me evaluate my options for repair or replacement and worked with me to ensure I got fair treatment from my insurance company. Eventually, I opted for a new roof. Their prices were so competitive I was able to add gutters and downspouts as well. The work was done in a timely and professional manner, and communication and follow-up were excellent. I am a perfectionist and probably not the easiest customer to deal with, but I had a great experience with R.M. Banning and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

Daniel and the rest of the team were very easy to work with and they did a great job. We would highly recommend them. There seem to be a lot of shady roofers out there, but RM Banning isn't one of them.

We had two skylight that we thought had a minor leak. RM Banning came out within 48 hours of calling them, quoted us a very fair price to remove and install two new skylights. The entire process from our first phone call to the installation was less than 30 days. We are very pleased with the open lines of communication, fair prices, and the efficiency and quality of the work.

Unbelievable!! I would give 0 stars if I could. Last week I called them to ask if they could replace my attic fan. I spoke with Richard directly to explain that our usual handyman said it would require a roofer due to an issue. He assured me that he is very honest and any issues or anything additional would be discussed up front. He sent over a quote for $850 that I had to sign and send back. My husband was home when a very kind gentleman from R.M. Banning came to replace the attic fan. He replaced the fan but told my husband that we would need to hire an electrician to come out to connect it. My husband was required to remit payment of $850 at time of service. When I heard from my husband, I called R.M. Banning immediately. Richard first tried to tell me that the $850 estimate didn't include hooking the fan up to electrical because they "aren't qualified electricians" but that he knows one who can hook it up for $100. So I requested a refund of the $100 that would be required for the electrician because he had assured me that his estimate included everything to replace an attic fan, thermostat, etc... He adamantly refused because he "only made a couple of hundred on this job" and tried to placate me by saying, "I understand that you're disappointed that your house is hot." No, I am "disappointed" that he charged me $850 for a fan that doesn't work! He argued that he had given me a "top of the line fan with a warranty." A fan that does. not. run. He then tried to blame the secretary who sent me the quote by saying, "She must not have explained it correctly to you." I reminded Richard that I had spoken to HIM that day to explain the issue we were having and he had assured me that he is "very honest and up front with everything." I told him there is nothing honest and up front about charging me $850 for a fan that can't run! He then offered to "make things right" by sending the same man back out to connect the wires. He said, "It's very simple. We just train our guys that if they're not comfortable doing electrical, they shouldn't do it." Then WHY would I want the same guy coming out to connect the wires?? In the fan manual itself it states "Danger: The electrical installation and wiring of this fan must be done by a qualified electrician in accordance with all local codes and standards." DO NOT trust this company with your home!!!

My desire to update two bathrooms led to the discovery of some "issues" with my 20+-year old roof. I was advised to contact a roofing company to conduct an inspection and make recommendations for ameliorating the problems.

I contacted three companies for inspection and estimates. R.M. Banning was, by far, the most responsive and thorough. The estimator showed me photos of the roof and chimney problems, guided me through color selections, and provided the most thorough contract and itemized estimates of the three. While R.M. Banning was not the least expensive of the three, selecting them was a no-brainer because of the attention to detail.

The crew arrived at 7:30 a.m. on the selected date. They provided coverings for the shrubs and beds and worked tirelessly throughout the day, finally wrapping up at 8:00 p.m.! A crew member returned the next morning to put the finishing touches on the ridges and then provided the finest clean-up operation I have ever had with any contractor.

Angela in the front office is a saint. She has the patience of Job and is extremely responsive when questions arise. (And yes, I had a ton of questions.)

I can't say enough about the experience. I highly recommend R.M. Banning for anyone's roofing needs.

We used Banning to put on a new cedar shake roof, replace a skylight, repair rotten wood, paint all trim, replace the gutters, and add gutter screens. All of the work was excellent. The crews were timely, very nice and responsive, and extremely hard working. Clean up was also excellent. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them. RM Banning recently replaced our roofing shingles, underlayment, ten sheets of decking, all soffits, gutters, and downspouts on our home in F'Fax County. Provided upfront pricing (including contingencies), responded quickly to questions re: options, and I'd confidently recommend the company's work to homeowners with similar job requirements. The crews completed their work without disturbing any of the phone, internet, and electrical wires attached to the structure, and they even removed that rusty old TV antenna - thanks!

We had high winds, and there were shingles hanging off the edge of our roof. I called RM Banning on a Thursday afternoon. I got a call back from Daniel shortly after we left a message. Daniel was able to come out to check our shingles later that same day. There ended up being no damage, so it was free to check, and the shingles must have been from a neighbor’s roof or leftover from when a repair had been done. Daniel took pictures and showed us the roof, and was in and out very quickly. If we need work done in the future, they will be our first call.

I have just used R. M. Banning for a second time. The first time was for a new skylight replacement. This second time was for a new roof, soffits, fascia boards, and gutters. I found them through Washington Consumers' Checkbook magazine and am very satisfied.

I did do some shopping around, but Banning had the best price quote and I was aware of their quality. I'm very glad I used them again. Danial Diaz was very responsive, prompt, and professional. He even pointed out some damage on my neighbors' houses that could lead to problems for me in the future (I live in a townhouse).

They did a first rate job then and we recently selected them again to replace our shingles. We also had them replace our sixty year old gutters and to repair our chimney. The crews efficiently performed high quality work at a reasonable price. Rich Banning is extremely professional, experienced, honest, and knowledgeable. He ensured that the three aspects of the job were properly completed to our satisfaction. Daniel missed the first appointment. I have to make a second appointment with them. Daniel quoted a work with doubled the market price. Then he sent me the quote two or three weeks after the appointment. I don't understand what prevents them from sending it sooner. He called me multiple times to follow up on the project and tried to asked the price I got from other contractors.

Recently, he called me again and I hanged up because I was so busy with my business partner. He then called me back immediately. I didn't pick up. He then sent the message saying I was rude.

It feels like he is stalking you to make the hard sale. PLEASE AVOID this overpriced and unprofessional business.

I needed house siding repair from wind damage. I reached out for service and got help right away. It was a quick response and a very affordable price

The price was right, the quality was right, the install was perfect.
However, I asked for the siding on my garage to match my house. As the siding went up, I noticed it did not match. When I brought it up, I was told that my house siding had been discontinued. It would have been nice for someone to tell me that BEFORE my job was started so I, as the customer could have made a choice as to what was put on my garage. Just a heads up.

Took care of my loose, incorrectly installed ridge vent system and recommended that my roof had about 3-5 years left on it. Nice clean work.

Daniel Diaz, Project Manager, was great – he showed pictures and explained all issues. He provided confirmation of a hail storm that caused damage to my roof and took the time to describe what to expect when filing an insurance claim.

I asked for a quote online for a single shingle repair. They quoted me $600!! My brother is a roofer and said it would take you longer to get up the ladder then to complete the job. (He lives across the country so unfortunately I couldn’t just get him to do it) I got three other quotes all for around $200 from other companies. I was able to get the job done for $80. Ridiculous prices.

Wonderful experience working with Troy (Sales Rep) and Angela (Office Manager). I have a small repair work needed on my roof, Troy was out the next day and provided me with a clear and detail quote. Professional communications such as email reminder on upcoming appointment and prompt invoice receipt via email throughout the project. There was a mixed-up with scheduling, Troy took action quickly in resolving it by doing the repair himself. How amazing is that for making sure customer satisfaction is #1 and not only being knowledgeable but actually can and willing to do the work himself. I highly recommend Troy and RM Banning!

I’d give zero star if possible. These people are so incompetent that the office has no idea what projects or where the employee is working on a given day. And when I indicated that my appointment is a no show, the office is only willing to send a message and hope the repairman would get back to me (which he didn’t and I’ve never heard from him for almost 2 weeks).
