I hired Rapid Roofing to replace the roof on a section of my house. I enjoyed working with Lee, my sales rep, and the install crew was decent. Although I did experience what another reviewer mentioned of nails and cigarette butts being left in my driveway. I can understand missing a few nails during cleanup, but leaving cigarette butts is just plain unprofessional.
Anyways, the install happened a lot faster than other companies I quoted, which was a plus. The issue I ran into is that after the roof was installed, a portion of it was damaged (no fault of Rapid Roofing) and I need to get it repaired before other renovations can happen. That's when I was sent to Dale, the service manager. He had a crew come out to look at it. They said it was an easy fix, but needed to bring materials and I had to call Dale to schedule it. Dale told me they would be out by end of week. They never showed and Dale wouldn't return my calls. I called the office, left him voicemails, reached out to my sales rep....nothing. What is going on at this company that they can't return a call and schedule a simple repair? Now I have to find another company to come do the repairs.
The lack of follow through on a simple repair for a customer that just spent $10k on a roof replacement shows a serious disregard for customer experience. Is this how they would handle a warranty repair as well? If so, their sales pitch of a 50 year warranty is useless. I see this as a failure of management and it unfortunately makes the entire company look bad. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for roofing installs or repairs.
[Updated review] I am downgrading this review based in the outrageous number of nails we are finding around all areas of the property and that have come down downspouts with yesterday's rain. Clearly minimal cleanup was done at the end of this job. That said, Ryan at was communicative, helpful, and shared all information up front. Upon a walkthrough following the roof replacement, Ryan noticed the broam vent was not actually connected to the bathroom exhaust fan; thanks for remediating that, Ryan. Additionally, a walk around the property found LOTS of nails & staples on the driveway, patio, & in the yard as well as cigarettes and other debris (including a significant amount of shingle debris in the neighbor's yard). Finally, there is an area at the roof junction that roofing shingles do not appear to lay flush with the roof that Ryan and I agreed needed to be watched for adherance issues. (pics included). The roof replacement looks good, but we are concerned regarding the attention, care, & quality of work with which it was installed and will return with a spring review on whether dealing with minor water intrusion now was the correct decision or if we should have waited.
Excellent job with metal roof install. Even more difficult as they had to coordinate with separate insulation company - took off roof deck and foam-sealed from the backside of the ceiling. This took significant coordination. They were also willing to follow-up on the small remaining items on the punch-list when the project was done.
