Regarding roof replacement (October 2024): The clean up was grossly inadequate— I am still finding roof debris/NAILS daily, the security video showed a worker covering a pile of broken glass with mulch, the attic was trashed with debris (still trying to manage it today), the attic is hotter now than it was with the older roof— during the winter the attic was hot (strange then), the attic used to remain fairly cool (today the temperature is clocking 150 degrees), they required me to replace the sky lights (the trim looks poor, the flashing must be poor, the windows steam in rain). Basically, I am left wondering what the next step will be.

over several years i have been using quality build. just completed maybe 10th project. as allways they exceeded expectations. there is reason i continue to use them. some projects have included

cabinets
porch columns
windows
water heater
light landscape removal
and assorted other minor projects

Quality Built did a fantastic job on my dock! The price was fair and the craftsmanship is outstanding. Even better - Lane is one of the best project managers I've ever worked through all of our home projects! He and his team are absolutely the people you need for your next job!!

Stay away! Their own employee said they didn't do proper work which is now causing damage and would fix the problem. His supervisor, of course, came out and said different. Then, in my own house, he insulted me personally and wouldn't leave the house when told to leave. Be careful to spend your hard-earned money with an organization that does poor work and disrespects the customers.

We recently hired them to replace the siding, windows, gutters, trim, and to install a stamped concrete patio out back. Our house has been completely transformed and is gorgeous. Everything from our initial estimate to all of the craftsmen went extremely well and was very smooth. Great communication and smooth process. We plan to hire them again for our roof when the time comes.

It seems like problems just kept happening left and right in life since September, the cherry on top was our roof needing to be replaced. We reached out to multiple companies for quotes and went with Quality built roofing. Not only were we given a reasonable price for our new roof, but they did it so fast! We were worried it wouldn't be ready in time but it was done in a day! Wonderful job, looks good! Definitely recommend these guys. Thank you guys so much!

QBX came out to do some painting and gutter work on my house. Mr. Ross came out and was very nice and to the point. He gave me a price and estimated start day and everything went as planned. The crews were very professional and cleaned everything up when they were done. I will be using them for my bathroom renovation in the future as well and would recommend QBX to anyone.

The soffits from my 1894 Victorian house were rotted and sagging from years of leaking Yankee gutters (box gutters) from the original metal roof, which I had a different company replace a couple of years ago. I was getting birds nesting in my attic and had enough! I spoke to Raleigh about an estimate and he was very polite, professional and thorough. He had James and his crew come out and had the whole job done in a day! They were very efficient and thorough and did a great job, as well as left the yard spotless afterwards! Raleigh kept me completely informed through the whole process, texting me photos of the progress and keeping me in the loop. I can't recommend them enough!

No amount of words can express how utterly impressed I am with Lloyd Johnson and his crews at QBE! We asked him to give us a quote for a small roof repair (shingles had blown away, exposing bare wood) at our home in Virginia Beach, VA. Lloyd took the time to assess the issue and present us with all of our options. There was no pressure in his delivery; just the facts. There was also no way we were letting him get away. His professionalism, industry knowledge, and courtesy made us WANT to believe in him. We were not disappointed. He even found another small leak that he fixed that same visit. Ronnie and the crew did a wonderful job on our roof. Those are some mighty hard working folks . They showed up on schedule, were very polite and showed me the damaged area around the sunlight before they commended repair of the rotted wood. They cleaned up really well at the completion of their work. A fantastic job overall!

Great experience with Quality Built! Russ was great; came out to see the proposed job and provided excellent inputs for the product we wanted. He checked in during the project and followed up afterward to make sure everything was perfect. Great personality and a pleasure to work with! A Quality Built Roofing & Siding representative, Rae, answered a request from me to review the possibility of replacing my roof. She spent hours of her time going over their roofing system, explaining in detail the benefits of their system and comparing it with systems from other providers. I was very impressed with her expertise and the high quality of the Quality Built roofing system.

Working with QBE for my roof replacement was an extremely pleasant and worry free experience. Ross was very communicative and punctual. The whole job worked out exactly how we had discussed. Ronnie and his crew came in and knocked it out of the park. Roof was replaced in 1 day. They tirelessly worked from right around 7am and were leaving by 8 pm. Quality work by quality people. They get my highest recommendation.

Our porch railings needed replacing. We decided to go with the Trex product. They came out beautifully. Also needed interior ceiling repairs and the work they did was fantastic! Ceilings look brand new. Ray Carter kept me informed and was very communicative. Would definitely recommend and use Quailty Built again!

We wanted to write a follow up review after being extremely happy with our work from Quality Built Exteriors. We had our roof replaced, gutters with gutter guards, vinyl fascia, friezes and soffit replacement 10 years ago. Everything still looks wonderful and we have a great warranty to back it! All three crews did excellent work. I am very satisfied with the finished results. Russ did an excellent job of overseeing the project.

I worked with Rich. He is a super nice guy and took his time explaining everything to me about getting a new driveway. He actually came out twice because I was dragging my feet on making a decision and we needed to update the estimate due to how long it had been. Price stayed the same which was great!

I ended up not getting a new driveway but had to leave a review anyway. I can recommend this company based on how they made me feel. I was not pressured and I felt like they cared.

We used QBX a few years ago to get a white vinyl fence and recently chose their services again to replace our back wood fence. Both fences are satisfactory.

THEY GO ABOVE AND BEYOND. Amber and Lloyd are both great people to work with! They both went out of their way after a miscommunication to ensure that the work was done, promptly and efficiently. Amber took charge when there was a mistake and ensured that someone would handle as quickly as possible, even though there was a mis-scheduling. Lloyd went a step further to provide valuable suggestions that could prevent damages in the future from becoming recurrent. I 100% recommend them for any and all work and will be recommending them to all of my realtor and home investor friends!

2 very large pergolas were installed and look gorgeous. Mike fixed issues with pavers that were made by a previous contractor and I'm so happy he did. Ray is wonderful and very knowledgeable. I am thrilled with the outcome!!

QBE was professional and fast. Ray responded to my inquiry for a fence repair estimate immediately and clearly explained what needed to be done and the costs associated. Marcus, who did the repairs, was a one-man wrecking crew who was friendly and did a fantastic job and made sure the space was cleaned up afterwards.

Very well done job. Workers showed up and got the work done in a very timely manner. Only complaint is that they put up 3 signs in my yard advertising themselves, I’m fine with 1 sign but 3 is very tacky. They also forgot some big scraps of trash in my yard….
But the actual soffit work they did looks to be perfect.

Quality Built Exteriors is a fantastic company to work with. We have been lucky to use them for multiple projects to include roof work, a new fence, and trim on our house. Each time we worked with them, they were very communicative, produced extremely high quality work, and ensured everything was cleaned up when they finished. Both our salesman, Raleigh, as well as the foreman, Lloyd, went above and beyond to ensure the work was done correctly and completely. Even after work was completed, they followed up to see if we had any questions or concerns. Their employees showed true dedication to each job and were polite, courteous, and efficient! We would give more than 5-stars if we could!

QBE just installed a nice vinyl fence for us to replace the "vintage" wood fence that came with our house. The guys were polite and courteous and they finished a little early. They also knew we have dogs so since they can't attach the vinyl to the house and there were gaps in a few places that our little dog could get potentially escape from, they took the extra step and screwed in some leftover plan to cover the gaps and also to extend the gate closer to the ground. We intend on hiring them for our future work (redo siding, trim, gutters, and exterior doors). This was the second job they did for us and both times they've been impeccable. Can't recommend them enough.

We are very pleased with the work Quality Built Exteriors did for us. We contracted them to build a screened in porch which included pouring a new foundation, framing, roofing, gutters, electrical, and installing the screens and doors. They did an excellent job - the people who worked on the project were curteous and we were kept up to date on timelines. We obtained three quotes, QBE came in at 1/3 the cost of the most expensive and 1/2 the cost of the second. The only disadvantage was it took quite a while - the other companies promised a few weeks for completion, and QBO did take a few months. They were clear about that up front and for the savings we were happy to be patient. Some of the older reviews on Google Maps said contractors left a mess but that didn't happen to us - they were careful to pick up all trash, nails, etc. We have little kids and a puppy so we were concerned, but they did a great job. I highly recommend QBE to anyone looking for a project.

We called and they answered the phone right away. An appointment was made to look at our fence to be repaired and the sales person called to let us know she was on the way. The work was scheduled and the contractor came out on the scheduled day and completed the work as scheduled. Extremely satisfied with work and everyone that we dealt with at the company. Would recommend and would use in the future.

Very pleased with the experience of getting a new roof. Ray was great during the sales phase, and Lloyd was wonderful with taking time to explain some things to me during the installation. The roof looks great and the crew did a very good job cleaning up.
Edit 1/11/2024 - Also contracted for some roof trim repairs at the same time. This is a different crew led by John. They've been scheduled for 6 different dates, 3 times the crew has been a no-show and no phone calls to me to say what the delay is. I've had to make several calls to find out what is going on, and I keep getting rescheduled. This is not a good way to run a company.

My husband, Justin Wright, and I would like to thank Quality Built Exteriors for the great work that they completed for our home - new shed, fence, pergola, deck, and screen door! Our project, once started, was finished within two weeks time. Melanie, our sales representative, remained in contact with us throughout the process - making sure that the crew arrived on time, design was as we requested, and overall ensuring that we were satisfied with our experience. Did an excellent job with repairing my roof. They were very effecient and didn't leave any mess behind. Great customer service and very responsive!

If I could give 0 stars I would. We decided to replace our rotting deck with stamped concrete patio. We signed the contract in November and they did not start the patio until March of the next year. I took me letting them know I was contacting a lawyer to come out and start. We also did gutters, those ended up needing to be fixed by a different subcontractor since the original guys did it and the dark and they were cut too short. Do not use.

Melanie and Marcus were outstanding! While moving from San Diego to VA, Melanie maintained great communication and our split rail fence turned out absolutely perfect. Thank you to such an efficient company. Highly recommend them for your home projects.

This company was horrible, unprofessional, and unorganized, and I would never do business with them again. This especially applied to their salesperson Tom who should be fired in my opinion. He was unprofessional, he lied and often reacted in a childish manor when confronted. His lack of knowledge combined with his lack of caring made a project that should have taken three full days to complete to take approximately 560 days complete. That’s ONE YEAR, SIX MONTHS, and 13 DAYS! I did have very positive experiences with the Office Manager Amber and one of the construction workers Phillip. Amber became my go-to person after I refused to continue to work with Tom. She was everything Tom wasn’t, and she did it all even though she was not getting commission and Tom was. She deserves a raise and every penny of the commission. Phillip was always professional and did great work. But at the end of the day, I suggest anyone who is reading this, find another company. Below I have detailed my experience:

My experience with Quality Built Exteriors started in July 2021 when I obtained a quote to repair my balcony and replace existing windows with a French door. They sent a man named Russ and he provided the quote. I decided to move forward with the project and took a loan out of my 401k based on the estimate. I made numerous calls to Russ to initiate the work, but he never returned my call. I called the office manager, and they sent another representative named Tom to completely redo the estimate. During the estimate I mentioned to Tom I lived in a historic neighborhood, and he would have to obtain approved from the Historic Preservation Commission. Tom got back to me a few days later and provided a much higher estimate and when I questioned the increase, he berated Russ as not knowing what he was doing, and that the door needed is very expensive. Because I had already taken the loan I begrudgingly moved forward, now without the door included, and made the down payment of half of the estimate (approximately $6,500) on 10/18/21 with the expectation that work would start once the supplies came in.

The replacement columns were finally delivered in December of 2021, but they were the wrong size and style. When I called Tom to report this, he lied to me and said they do not make a column with the same size, shape, or diameter. In reality, he never measured the diameter, nor did he do any research. After doing my own research, I sent Tom a PDF directly from his distributor of an exact match to my original columns (with SKU) on 12/30/21. When called out for lying, he simply said “so, do you want me to order these” to which the obvious answer was yes. After a long wait for the columns to come in and having to get back on the schedule, the new columns were delivered to my house. These columns were also the wrong size and style. Even though they had the columns in their warehouse for some time waiting for the scheduling, no one bothered to check to see if they were right. So I had to wait yet again for the right ones to be ordered.

Work finally started on the house in August 2022. However, work was immediately stopped by the city because Tom had never obtain approved from the Historic Preservation Commission (which only meets once a month). The meeting took place on 9/20 and I had to attend the meeting myself because Tom could not be bothered to do it himself. I received the approval on 9/23/22. Construction started again and was not completed until late April/early May 2023. I made the final payment 5/18/23.

QBE is awesome! Specifically want to give praise to Lloyd who took special care of our home. During renovations, we discovered that we had a roof leak that was allowing water in the inside of our walls. I called QBE at 8am and Lloyd was assessing our roof at 12pm. Before leaving, he created a temporary fix since we were expecting rain in the forecast that night. As planned, he and his diligent mates were at our home at 7:30am the next morning to fix our leak. He was very professional, courteous, knowledgable and personable. He never attempted to sell us a whole new roof, but was able to rectify our leak permanently for the fraction of the cost for a new roof. Needless to say, we have been dry after a entire weekend of rain! A roof leak can be very stressful because of the damage that it causes to your home, not to mention the cost. Yet, this experience was better than ever expected and my family can now sleep with peace of mind. Give QBE a call first before calling anyone else. I'm so glad we did!

I work for my father's automotive repair business and we needed to replace part of our fence. It was knocked over by thieves stealing vehicles from our lot. We needed to put 8ft industrial chain link with barbed wire back on the property. Tyrone personally came out to give us an estimate and was my point of contact during the whole process. He was always available for any questions that I had as far as permits, timing, equipment etc. Tyrone and the crew were very professional, courteous, on time, hardworking and gave awesome customer service. I would definitely recommend this amazing company for all fencing, roofing, and concrete needs.

I had a concrete stamped patio installed and an extra concrete slab for my smokers and grills installed. The first visit was for the walkthrough and to discuss my options Raleigh was very knowledgeable about everything we talked about and he even let me know that the other options of my future ideas that can be completed by the team.

Arbor and gate installation. This was a special order job with an arbor we purchased. Four other area contractors refused the work. Quality gave me a fair price and completed the work despite pandemic supply chain issues. .

I have used Quality Built Exteriors in the past for my roof and they did such a great job I choose them for my windows and new fence. I couldn’t be happier with our end result! The fence, which has a beautiful arbor, was build slat by slat and looks amazing. Our new windows, front and back doors are great quality and look! They even installed a doggie door for us which was the best part of it all! All the installers were great with no issues. Would highly recommend anyone to them!

After contracting to install a fence, the company came out without arranging a start date and installed while I was out of town. In the process they installed the incorrect style of fence in the wrong location and significant damage was done to my lawn, irrigation, and French drainage systems. On several attempts to address this damage with their representatives my concerns and desire to correct the situation have been minimized and ignored.

We had a screened in porch put in and a spot to put our hot tub on and we are beyond happy with how everything turned out. Gary was our project manger and exceeded our expectations. He was responsive to our needs and ensured we got exactly what we wanted. We changed some things throughout the way but he was patient and understanding. We are completely satisfied with the experience and the outcome that Quality Built Exteriors provided for us! Do not hesitate to call them for your house project!

Unfortunately, we had several negative experiences throughout our installation with this company. We had concrete poured, an internal chain link fence put up, and a wooden double gate installed on our already existing fence. The men who installed the concrete littered our front and backyard with cigarette butts & garbage to the point our dogs were finding them for weeks. They didn’t shave down the sharp corners of concrete and had to come back twice to fix it. The internal chain link went fine, however I added quite a few reinforcers after they left since we have dogs. The wooden gate was sagging within a week or two, we asked them to come out and the lead of the entire project looked at it and said that’s what wood does. Within 2 months the gate was dragging on the ground and broke, we had to have another company replace the entire thing. On top of all that, the men that did the installation of the fence were unprofessional and had to leave the job early because they “couldn’t get along.” I was pulled into drama, asking if I would tell their boss not to fire them, and a lot of unnecessary excuses throughout the project. After speaking with several other companies, we learned that the price we paid was pretty steep, so we ended up screwed. I do not recommend this company at all.

I used Quality Built a few years ago to install a wooden fence in my backyard and they did a great job. About a year later, for whatever reason, one of my gates had shifted and wasn’t closing properly. Without question, they came back and rebuilt the gate. Excellent service. Thank you.

They came out and helped me do the repairs that I was not skilled to do. They came out even though the job was small, they helped me out with this job when no one else would. If your looking for a company for your project, I highly recommend this company as they helped me out in my time in need.

Fantastic contractor experience! Project manager Lloyd and his team were on time and about the business of replacing our roof. The process, which took a little over a day was completed without incident. Mid project trash detail with end of the day nail pick up via rolling magnet were very impressive. The end product is better than the original! We love our new roof.

The work crew for the Deck , and fence installation were on time everyday and worked until near dark everyday. Both the fence and deck exceed my expectations !
I will hire them again for future projects !

The Gate they just installed for me is gorgeous, even and sturdy. Very friendly and helpful staff as well. would very much recommend them to friends and family.

Quick and professional. They did excellent work removing and disposing of the old roofing materials and putting in quality, updated ones. This included a new skylight. They communicated well and were friendly. Answered our questions and explained options and their process, even after receiving payment they took the time to back onsite to answer a question we had.

The guys that came and did the work did a good job however the communication within the company is awful, was called last Friday and scheduled an appointment for 12 on Monday no one showed up on Monday and it took me 3 hours to get ahold of someone, once I did they apologized for the inconvenience and told me they would call me tomorrow with confirmation of a 9am appointment Wednesday. Never got a call Tuesday and this morning at 7am I was woken up to loud banging outside and people working on my roof. As nice as it is to have it finished earlier than expected I would be much more appreciative if I had been communicated to that this was gonna be the plan

Extremely pleased that I called Quality Built Exteriors. We had storm damage to the side of our townhome. We had them replace the entire siding down the side of the house.

Now we reached out to a few companies for estimates. Some never returned my call, one wanted to try and upsell me before they even came out, one company came out to get info for an estimate and never called back.

Quality Built contacted me right away. Russ came out and went over everything with me. He was friendly, knowledgeable. He never gave me any of the sales talk that a lot of companies “estimators” do. He gave me a rough pricing idea right then but then sent an estimate that evening.

We ultimately decided to go with Quality. Work was scheduled within a week or so.

Billy was the main person handling the repairs. Billy was awesome. He came out, gave me a quick rundown of things and got started immediately. Through our interactions the first day, I quickly realized that the job was in good hands. It was obvious that he had years of experience based on our conversations and more importantly that showed in his work.

Now that the job is done, I can say that Billy was hard-working, knowledgeable, and detail oriented. The quality of his work really did shine through.

To summarize, I would absolutely use Quality Built Exteriors again in the future. Having to do any type of unplanned repair can be nerve racking. Russ and Billy were both bright spots and alleviated any concerns I may have had about the job. Please don’t hesitate to give them a try

So imagine the scenario...it's Christmas night and you're putting the final touches on your dinner spread for your guests. The weather takes a horrible turn and it's extremely cold and windy and blows your Christmas tree off your front porch. One of your guests arrives, only to inform you that your neighbor just noticed your gutter hanging and swinging from your roof due to the wind. That was my excitement for the night...not knowing if the gutter was going to fly off and land on my car, a neighbor's car, or possibly injure a child or animal. And of course with it being the holiday and the weekend, no one is around to respond to the call. The property manager of my condo association later informed me that it's the homeowner's responsibility. So where do I find someone to help me in the next day or so before someone gets injured and damage is also caused to my home? I contacted Quality Built Exteriors and they offered to send someone out the following day. Lloyd came out and resolved the problem in a short period of time and even gave me a brief educational lesson on gutters and roofs. If only more businesses operated with such timeliness, excellent customer service and quality. Quality Built Exteriors is my go-to from now on when I need gutter, roofing repairs, etc. They're reliable and trustworthy.

Russ and Richard P were fantastic in our experience! Russ worked with the city to figure out the permitting and made sure we were taken care of throughout the process. Richard's work and craftsmanship is incredible. Everything is straight and level and beautifully done. We are very happy with the new fence.

Had my roof replaced by Quality Built Exteriors. Throughout the entire process they communicated excellently and were very professional. The whole process to about 1 1/2 days and when they left they left my yard clean like it wasn’t just a construction site. Project Manager Lloyd was very helpful and very experienced in the whole process. I will be choosing Quality Built Exteriors for any future projects.

My first project with Quality Built Exteriors was replacing my back door because of rotted wood over the years. I was recommended by a friend to try Quality Built Exteriors because I had been waiting on Home Depot for 2 months to come out and install my new back door, but Home Depot kept stringing me along, so I called Ms. Freda Wolf at Quality Built Exteriors and she made the appt and they came out the very next day, set me and appointment for installing my back door... Quality Built Exteriors did such a professional job in replacing the rotted wood and installing my back door that my husband and I decided to call QBE up again to start much needed work to and around the outside of our 70-year-old house and detached garage. Mr. Mike Reedy personally came and assisted us with a reasonable quote, we agreed and Mr. Mike Reedy got the ball rolling. To make a long story short, Mr. Reedy (Owner), Russ (General Manger) and James and crew replaced entire siding around my detached garage, insulated and replaced siding around my entire house, replaced and built gables over both front and back doors, tore down and rebuilt back stairs, and replaced old railing with new railings. In other words, Quality Built Exteriors are the best, they are professional, efficient, and reliable. Russ and the crew work long hours seven-days a week to complete our projects in a professional and timely manner. My husband and I are completely satisfied with all the hard work QBE have done. The work on our house has now been completed by QBE and it looks amazingly beautiful, better than we ever imagined. We highly recommend Quality Built Exteriors for your home projects you will not regret it.

Quality was great to deal with from start to finish. And I don’t even want to say finish because I plan to use the company again for future projects. Everyone there was professional from sales, Raleigh..to John in the office getting things done and working with the city through all those hiccups steadfast and on top of everything they threw at him . Gary the project manager was awesome. Fun to deal with and have around. Louis and his crew building the trex deck were fantastic. Interacted with my kids and just all around professional. Tyler the parts delivery was professional and worked hard to find things for the job. I mean I really do not have a single bad thing to say. They worked hard to complete a job that was not easy and was very frustrating due to the city oversight. They never gave up. And completed something that has made my wife and I very happy. Although it's been over a year since QBE installed our new roof, we've had absolutely zero issues with our roof despite significant rain and winds sweeping in off the Chesapeake Bay. As our home is situated in the woods, we accumulate significant leaves and other debris throughout many of the valleys of our roof, which can contribute to the backup of water during a heavy downpour and result in a leak if left unattended. As I can no longer climb up on the roof and do the cleanup myself, QBX's Project Manager Lloyd and his professionals bent over backwards to accommodate my every changing work schedule and take care of the job for me. They showed up on time, they had all their equipment with them, and they took care of the job for me in a matter of minutes. I now have peace regardless of future rains.

While removing the roof debris, one of Lloyd's teammates discovered a missing roof cap and brought it to his attention. At his direction they made the minor repair promptly. I would have never known the cap was missing, however Lloyd's team went the extra step and installed an underlying waterproof membrane and then caulked it before nailing it in place. Despite their going the extra mile, they would not allow me to pay for that extra service. This is just one more reason why not only I, but two of my nearby neighbors have elected to install new roofs with QBX.

Hire this company to make a 75 linear foot wooden fence. Mrs. Ray Carter was very attentive and diligent in offering the information and very professional. The work was carried out successfully by Mr. Richard Plourde, a true professional with more than 29 years of experience. The work was spectacular. Quality Built Exteriors earned my business because Mr. Tom Mullen provided a very comprehensive overview of their roof installation process in an extremely pleasant yet professional manner. And, in working with Mr. Lloyd Johnson, the project manager, Quality Built was able to quickly schedule my home to have the roof replaced in a matter of days (vice weeks as promised by other competitors). From start to finish my roof installation project was an extremely enjoyable and informative experience thanks largely in part to the "hands-on" efforts of Mr. Johnson (Lloyd). Whenever I had a question about anything Lloyd routinely and consistently provided easy to understand answers in a refreshingly professional manner. He kept his finger on the pulse of everything involving my roof installation which made me feel both comfortable and confident that I was receiving a quality product. I can't remember the last time I received such a high level of quality service for a home improvement project of this magnitude. I give Quality Built Exteriors my highest recommendation to anyone needing a roofing installation. Thank you Tom and Lloyd for your combined efforts! What a team!

Chose this company because of the reviews, but from the start, things have been handled surprisingly unprofessionally. Communication is basically non-existent. We weren’t told when worker would show or were promised he would show when he never would, and he’d leave half-day and repeatedly not show. When we called to inquire, we could never get an explanation. Worker brought his dog multiple times. Personal trash repeatedly left in the yard and we’ve had to pickup and throw away empty drink bottles. It took three days for approximately 10 feet of work to be done. (See first photo.) The following day, another 10 feet or so was done. (See second photo.) Subsequent days seemed to go well enough but today was a no-show with no phone call. Hurricane Ian is coming tomorrow and countless fiberglass and large, sharp, metal pieces and sheets along with all our gutters have been left lying in the yard. (See remaining photos.) It is a danger to the entire neighborhood, not to mention the imminent loss of materials in high winds. We spent an hour in the dark of the evening to help our elderly mother move as much as we could into the garage and trying to secure what we could as best as we could.

We contracted Quality Built Exteriors to perform a Trim Wrap and soffit repair. They were very professional and did an excellent job. Russ, the GM, was very easy to work with and an excellent communicator who constantly kept us informed. Draper was the lead technician and did a marvelous job and was able to overcome a number of “wrenches” we threw at him during the construction.

We highly recommend them for any project.

Quality extended my front porch and put in new stamped concrete walkway. Very pleased with the results. Everyone went out of there way to accommodate my requests and answer my questions. Jeff and Dave put in my sidewalk, Gary and Raleigh were the project managers and Lewis and his crew extended my front porch. Next on my list is to have Quality put in a new driveway and build a ramp for my shed. I give them a 5 star rating. No complaints.

UPDATE: It had been a few months since we had our porch done and we had an issue with the door. The door was bowed and was scratching our brand new Trex decking. We contacted Russ several times with no avail. I finally contacted the home office and they sent Gary. Gary replaced the door and we had to contact them yet again because the door wasn't straight. Come to find out we would need some type of brace to make the door straight. Gary said he was going to order the part. He said it came in and he would be here August 4, 2022. Here it is October 4th and still no brace on door. I contacted Gary and next thing I know Russ tries calling. I texted and said I'm not available to talk but he can text. He said we needed to discuss stopping by and talking to me. I responded back with talk about WHAT?!?!?! We were told the brace was in and he was going to install it and hasn't. Also we had our house painted and they did such a terrible job filling in the indents from our previous railings (since they installed a shorter railing than the original) that me and my husband had to re-caulk and sand their terrible job so that our porch wouldn't look terrible when repainted. I was waiting to update my review hoping they would come finish the work but obviously that won't happen. If this is how they do business I would stay away! OLD REVIEW: Had a great experience with Russ and his crew! Russ was very responsive and Billy did an amazing job restoring our porch along with his assistants. They were professional and listened to what we wanted and it came out great! Would use them again for sure!

UPDATE to earlier review: We’ve selected QBX for many jobs and referred them to all our neighbors and friends. They have also chosen them and all have been just as satisfied as we’ve been. Today, the QBX roofing crew lead by Lloyd, finished installing a new roof on our large, two-story, 3,500 sq. ft. home. The roof is complex, with many gables and hips, plus, there was a design flaw where the roof met the wide fireplace chimney. Lloyd designed and built a large diverter (called a ‘cricket’) for rain water to move around the chimney, eliminating any potential leaks in that area. I fully expected the job to be perfect and it was. The crew worked diligently, efficiently, respectfully, and professionally to complete this large project in two days despite many obstacles such as gardens, trees, and shrubbery around the entire perimeter of the house. If you read the initial review from a couple years ago below, I mention that Lloyd said we were nearing the end of the roof’s lifespan. Well, as I noted then, the only folks I’d welcome back for the replacement would be QBX. Well, they did replace the roof and this project was completed as perfectly as all the rest—we are far more than satisfied. Any potential customer choosing QBX WILL NOT be disappointed. Lloyd, your crew was fantastic!

PREVIOUS REVIEW from a couple years ago: We’ve used QBX for several projects now at two separate properties. We first used QBX for a small project at our townhouse for gutter installation and soffit replacement. Rich, QBX’s representative, was a straight shooter and gave excellent advice and didn’t try to upsell. In fact, his recommendation ultimately led us to save money. The price was right and, after the work was completed, we realized we received an excellent bargain because the work was outstanding. We kept that townhouse as a rental when we moved to a much larger residence.

Shortly after moving in, the new house developed a major roof leak. Rich to the rescue! He quickly turned us over to QBX’s roofing specialist, Lloyd, who got the roof repaired within a few days, despite a full work schedule.

Our next project was the installation of a complicated coffered ceiling in our great room that had a 20-foot ceiling. Rich introduced us to QBX’s carpenter/artisan, Jason. Jason took my rough plan and made it much better. The execution of the ceiling was phenomenal. Again, great work at a very reasonable price.

The next job had two parts, 10 new windows for our rented townhouse and a new front door system for our residence. We did get estimates from other sources for these jobs just to compare prices. On both jobs, Rich came in far less than the other competitors. Our front door project came in at HALF what the highest estimate was for the exact same manufacturer’s door, sidelights, and transom window system. Lenny, QBX’s chief window/door installer, measured all the openings perfectly and everything fit just as it was supposed to after he installed everything. At the risk of sounding too much a fanboy, We were amazed at the price differences and the good value and excellent craftsmanship provided by QBX.

When Lloyd fixed our roof leak, he said our roof was nearing the end of its lifecycle (which we knew) but that it should last a few more years—again, no high pressure to sell us a new roof. Well, within the next year or so, I’ll be calling Rich for that project too—when you find a great company like this, you stick with them.

I really enjoyed the installer crew but I cannot say the same for the project supervisor Russ Pulson. With my husband being deployed right now, I was left to handle this intimidating project alone. I knew absolutely nothing about roofing and as much as I tried to do my research, I had questions (rightfully so). As a client, I have never felt this level of disrespect. I felt like the supervisor was impatient with me at times and very dishonest. He raised his voice and got upset when I questioned the added charges (That I couldn't understand). I personally need to understand what I'm paying for, especially if more money is required of me. I felt like the supervisor failed to update me before going forward with purchasing additional supplies etc. I understand that project costs can increase during a job based on new discoveries but he was just making up quotes and changing the amounts every time we spoke forgetting what he said before. I didn't trust him one bit, especially because I witnessed his dishonesty when speaking to an agent during my financing process. I would not recommend this company based on my personal experience and I will not call Quality Built Exteriors for future projects.

They are very professional. My rep called me when he was on his way and was very informative. We ended up not getting a new fence, just a quote, but I appreciated the time they took to come out on a Sunday. I plan to use if we change our minds.

UPDATE: 6/30/2022
We decided to replace our very deteriorated wooden fence. We made the best decision by going with Quality Built. Tom gave us an excellent quote, and as always (since I've used QB for another home improvement job), he was very nice and remembered our family, even from 4 years prior! John is also wonderful to communicate with. Danny and his team did a great job putting our fence up and they were quick and efficient. They always cleaned up after themselves. BY NO FAULT OF DANNY or his team, our gates 'settled' into the ground, and Danny is set to come out and give a quick repair (but that was from normal ground settling, and not from improper installation).

I recommend Quality Built Exteriors. We intend to use them for other projects as well, when the time comes.

Quality Built came to our aid again! Thanks to Ray, Gary and Mateo for demolishing and rebuilding my dream deck! Our deck looks so beautiful! I can't wait to have gatherings on it! Exceptional service, constant communication, and fast yet efficient work. We highly recommend, we use them for all our home repairs and needs.
