Nova Installations

Over 30 years ago, when I purchased my first home, I had NOVA Installations come and replace all 8 windows based on a recommendation I received. The installation was done very professionally and I never had a problem with any of the window, was pleased with their work and would highly recommend them.

Last week, I had NOVA Installations come and replace the eight windows due to age and weather related issues - basically over 30 years of wear and tear. I called NOVA Installations again and they, once again, did a very professional job, and the installation team was very polite and knowledgeable as was the office staff. Joe Dunn was my initial point of contact and helped me choose the right windows for my needs (and in compliance with HOA requirements). Art Dunn, an owner, came out to take the final measurements. Sheryl assisted in making the scheduling process very easy. The installation team were punctual, did a very good job with the installation and made sure to clean up their work spaces prior to leaving. Art Dunn also was here for the start of the installation to make sure that everything was going to plan.

I am, once again, very pleased with the NOVA Installation's work and highly recommended them.

Nova Installations installed a sliding patio door for me several years ago. The rollers have since collapsed and caused damage to the track supporting the door. The door is under warranty, so I called to have someone take a look at it. Nova Installations will not return my call. I've left messages with their voicemail, office assistant and answering service. They've been totally unresponsive. I would not recommend doing business with them and won't be a repeat customer. [In response] I would have appreciated the full explanation offered below when I called. I don't think the previous service was mentioned. I agree that warranties are limited and that this may not have been covered. I would have liked to see an alternate solution (i.e. new door options) instead of ignoring follow up calls to get clarification.

Absolutely wonderful to work with from the beginning to end. Sheryl and Rick were a pleasure to work with. Very responsive, attention to detail and friendly. I will definitely work with them again in the future.

We waited 20 years to replace our 75-year-old windows, hoping we could expand but at least not lose the amount of glass and ensure sufficient insulation and sealing in the process. We opted for energy-efficient casements with exterior grids – over $1,600 per window. But, when the windows were installed months later, they were all ‘pocket inserts,’ with smaller glass, not the ‘full tear-outs’ we had requested. Because they did not tear out the frames of the prior windows, we did not get the insulation in the cavities between the old frames and the studs that we had hoped for. Nova would not measure the windows until we had paid them half the project cost. Perhaps if they had measured earlier in the process we would have realized there was a disconnect between the parties we’d been talking to and it would have been easier to walk away in search of installers who could give us the full tear-outs we requested. We are now stuck with smaller windows and darker rooms.

My experience with NOVA Installations was positive. They’re fairly laid back but always professional. I found them easy with which to work as I navigated my way through manufacturers’ product lines and HOA requirements.

Installation went well. The crew arrived on-time, worked hard, made a huge mess and cleaned up every bit of that mess. They were very professional, worked efficiently and even cleaned my new windows prior to departure. I’m happy with my choices and wouldn’t hesitate to use NOVA again.

My second experience with Nova Installations was even better than my last. We had a complete, whole house window replacement. I interviewed several other companies before making my final decision. NOVA was the only company that gave me a complete price with no surprises. They worked with me to customize the package and provided me with everything I needed for HOA approval.
They provided me with realistic timeframes and completed the work on schedule.
The office staff gets high marks too. They set the installation schedule to meet our needs and let us know what we had to do to prepare.
The installation team was polite and communicative. They arrived on time and let us know the sequence of installation, how to operate the new windows and how they were trimming the exterior. They cleaned at each stage of completion and left our garage looking better than it did when they started!

If you want a $10k+ front door installed that begins to fail (locking mechanisms), and is improperly finished from the factory that ultimately allows the entire door to degrade, and then be told that the OEM contractor cant or wont service/fix it and be referred out to other companies to rectify the issue, use this company.

After several independent assessments from other door install companies both suggested this was not finished correctly from the OEM installer (NOVA Installations), and that lack of proper finishing is now leaving me with no option but to have to paint the door as stain will no longer penetrate and stay in the wood.

NOVA Installations was either unable or unwilling to do this work themselves and referred me out to other companies as their last touch point on this issue.

We have used them for years and they are fantastic! And at two different houses. They have done window replacements, knocked a hole in a brick wall and added a window, and replaced exterior doors. I don’t call anyone else!

Nothing but great things to say about this company from start to finish. Me and my wife decided to upgrade our windows, to replace the originals. After researching a few companies, something about this one stuck out, so I decided to try Nova Installations. Nick arrived and was very knowledgeable, sociable and straight to the point. We signed the contract and went through the smooth process. On the day of installation, the guys were very quick and thorough. The windows look terrific. If there are any problems, you can call and they will always answer. I would recommend this company to anyone, A++ from start to finish.

Nova installations replaced the original windows for our townhome. The price was very reasonable and their salespeople and installation team were efficient and responsive .

I haven't gotten my windows installed - yet - but I want to commend Nova Installations for a sales experience that is exactly what I'm comfortable with. I wouldn't have realized this -- except that I got a second estimate with a different company who subjected me to a high-pressure two-hour long sales presentation, and I had to sign that day to get the price they quoted. (I caved and signed but thank goodness have three days to cancel, which I did.) Nova Installations, on the other hand -- quoted a price 25% lower than the other company's "special"-and-call-the-manager-to-get-a-secret-deal. On top of that, Nova Installations came out for a half-hour, took a good look at the windows inside and outside, listened to my concerns, showed me a sample window and explained what I'd be getting -- and then sent me an estimate and contract via email. The contract laid out exactly what I'd be getting, including little details that came out in our conversation (they'd take down and reinstall my blinds, for example). They let me make my decision in my time. Such a great way to do business! I'm looking forward to getting my new windows.

We had our windows installed with them in 2016 and the install was very professional. However, we've had a couple issues with the windows while under warranty and could never get them to call us back to fix. Finally my husband ordered the parts and fixed himself. Also they must have used a cheap sealant as the previously clear sealant turned gray on all our white trim windows after a few years and looks horrible now. We had to paint over the dirty looking sealant on all our window sills, even those rooms rarely used. Also, we didn't see any improvement with our heating/AC bills or bug issues that our salesperson told us we would.

This company have completed 4 projects for us so far. Tom and his team are great professionals and also price is very affordable. Generally, I like to have a few estimates for any of my projects. Nova installations is always gives me the best estimate! Thank you for your attention to us and help with improving our houses and living!

Exceptional experience! This was my second time working with Nova Installations; first was a new door installation and this one was a very large roofing job. These folks care about what they do, care about the quality, and provide exceptional value and service from the initial consultation through to end of job. They are a pleasure to work with every step of the way.

Art, Juan, Nick, and all the rest of the NOVA Installations team were wonderful to work with. They corrected an issue left behind by a previous contractor and provided me with a beautiful window installation. I got new windows and replacement of my sills, mullion, and trim as the old ones were unsightly and caked with layers of "landlord special" paint. I felt confident from the bid process to the installation. They were patient while I had to get an approval from my HOA and confirmed they were able to hold the price while I got the approval as my approval fell over the holidays. If I could provide anyone advice, I'd say avoid the Window Worlds, Window Nation, and others who can't stand behind their products, installations, or timelines and lack the professionalism provided by Art and his team.

Art and the Nova Installation team did a FANTASTIC Job, at a great price, too. Besides the work listed above, they also put in additional insulation underneath the new siding. They were fast, professional, accurate, reliable, friendly and I HIGHLY recommend them for ANY work you need done. This Spring I am having them replace the skylights on either side of my front door.

NOVA replaced our old sliding patio door with a new ProVia energy efficient door. After they left, we had an issue closing the door so they came back and showed us it wasn't the door, it was the user. We just weren't closing it all the way. Very friendly and professional service.

We had 25 windows replaced on 4-5 August 2022 in Clifton, VA, and they were outstanding. It took 2 full days (1 for interior work; 1 for exterior). Pat C. and his team were hard-working, polite, courteous, and conscientious; final day clean-up was meticulous. They worked with attention to detail under hot, humid, "heat advisory" days, around challenging landscape conditions, and high elevations around some windows that were 31 years old, foggy, and had dry wood rot; the results were beautiful and beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend NOVA installations without hesitation.

They are professional, affordable, and we love the result! We've used them twice already and highly recommend them to anyone.

NOVA Installations replaced our windows about 10 years ago, and since we were so happy with their work, we were fully confident in having them replace our roof. Both my friend and I had owner Art Dunn give us an estimate on doing two roofs. Even with the several price increases on construction materials over the past year, Mr. Dunn gave us a very competitive price on upgraded shingles that was better than some of my neighbors who had their roofs replaced by storm chaser outfits last year after a hail storm hit our area. Without any hesitations, we accepted NOVA proposal without having to get any other estimates. My friend and I are extremely happy with our new roofs. Mr. Dunn's crew worked hard, and meticulously did a very professional job in installing a beautiful roof. They met my specific request to have the ridge vent installations extend to the ridge edges so the roof lines would look balanced, unlike some other installers who just do the minimum length. The crew also did a fantastic job of keeping the work areas cleaned and protected all the shrubs with large tarps. The cleanup included a worker using a magnetic rake to comb all the areas for fallen nails. Mr Dunn even stop by after the job was done to do another sweep himself. That's what I call unbelievable customer service. All my friends and relatives who have had NOVA do work for them have been completely happy with their work and service.

Excellent experience working with NOVA Installations, their process from quoting, installation, and follow up was flawless. I had NOVA windows installed several years ago; I had trouble opening one and called. Art came right away and professionally fixed it. A cleaning service may have messed something up but he fixed it promptly and professionally, no questions asked.

Nova Installations was great to work with! They quoted up to 6 week delivery time for our windows and we were pleasantly surprised when the windows arrived 3 weeks early. They were able to fit us in for installation immediately. Their install team was courteous, punctual, and efficient. They took great care to cover our furniture and floors during the process. And the windows look fantastic!

NOVA Installations came out and replaced some old windows on our townhouse. Overall, process was easy and the windows were an upgrade. Everything was fine for about 18 months and then our bay window started leaking. It had never leaked in the 10 years prior with the old window. We called NOVA and they sent someone out, who didn't even really look at the window, just said that what they did didn't cause the leak and he claimed that from the street he could see where on the top of the bay window there looked like a problem. However, we had it checked out, and I even got on the ladder and went up to inspect and couldn't see anything at all. Now, the ceiling at our bay window is destroyed and leaking everywhere and we are having to pay to fix it.

During the late summer, we decided that it was time to change out our doors and windows. Shopping for these is no small task, and finding unbiased reviews is very difficult. Fortunately, i stumbled upon replacementwindowsreviews.co, a site that provides reviews across a wide rage of windows. The product I was looking at was by Sunrise Windows, and noting the good reviews I searched for an installer.

Up popped Nova Installations. I contacted them and a few days later, they came by and gave me information about Sunrise Verde windows. He also showed me a Polaris windows. It was a nice, short, and to the point visit in my driveway. (No long window demonstration.)

While I was leaning toward Sunrise, I researched Polaris and found their Ultraweld series to be a great product for a good value. Nova Installations provided a quote for both Polaris and Sunrise and went with Polaris. We made the initial payment on September 29, 2020.

A few days later a fellow from Nova Installations came to measure our windows so they could make the order from Polaris and he mentioned that due to the pandemic, delivery would likely be shortly before Christmas.

On December 12, the windows arrived at the warehouse and Nova Installations offered to install on December 15, 2020 which was yesterday.

They did a great job. They showed up a 8am as promised and started to unload and set up. At 8:30am they started to remove the old windows and doors. The job proceeded smoothly and without a problem

These guys know their stuff! After demolition and installation of 8 windows and 2 sliding glass doors, they were done and gone by 4:30pm. Everything was clean, and vacuumed and all debris was removed from the front and rear of the house.

One additional note, there was one area of rot at the bottom of the old kitchen door that caused a bit of leakage in our basement. They repaired the rot and installed some new flashing under the door to ensure no further water could get it.

In the end, the windows and doors are beautiful and well installed.

Would I use Nova Installation again? Emphatically yes. In fact, we only did the front windows in our house and (and the doors) We will do the back of the house in the spring -- and, of course, with Nova Installations.

In my opinion, Nova Installations is a great company and I highly recommend them for windows and doors.

It was a difficutl installation in that the doors were retrofitted many years ago. The installer, James did a stellar job and was easy to work with. From the receptionist, Sheryl to Art, the owner, the whole experience was superb.

Most important factor for a service company is how well they continue to support their work, after initial installation, through warranties. This company has exceeded my expectations. Called them recently for a small leak issue for a window they installed over 3 years ago. My initial thoughts while calling them was they would brush my request aside since they did it that long ago. To my surprise they scheduled an appointment to come back to my house and fix the issue at no cost. Impressed by the fact that they are proud of their work and stand behind it. Special thanks to Sheryl for scheduling and Rick for performing the fix.

Nova Installations did a great job replacing my front door and storm door! Richard Montano was my 'product consultant.' He did a great job capturing my requirements and working up the agreement details completely and in a timely fashion.

I had a ProVia steel door, and Provia DuraGuard storm door installed. (Suggestion: if you call ProVia and ask nicely, they will send you a hard copy of their dealer's door catalog -- it is much more helpful than their web site in putting together all the details for your quote from Nova ahead of time).

As you can see in the photo, my foundation had sunk, so the door opening/frame wasn't 'square'; but Nova's professional carpenter did a great job fixing it before the door install. No extra charge -- it was part of the service. I got a couple of other estimates for ProVia/Pella-class doors, and thought Nova Installations quote was very fair.

On install day, Nova gave me a 2-hour window, and the crew arrived right in the middle of the window. I was afraid only 1 or 2 workers would show up, and the job would take all night, but 4 workers arrived and worked in a coordinated manner like a well-oiled machine. They were very considerate of my property, and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. It was obviously these were experienced guys and not 1st timers or summer help.

We needed 10 windows replaced in our third floor condo. 3-4 years ago we got estimates from other companies that ranged from $6k-$20K. I am not someone who wants the cheapest thing but that is a huge range in pricing. When we finally decided to move forward with windows, I contacted Nova Installations for a virtual quote (thanks to the virus) where I measured and they gave me an estimate. The owner then came out and did a real measurement once we paid our deposit and we had our new windows 4 weeks later. The installers were on time and fast! All ten windows replaced on a third floor condo unit in 6 hours. We were impressed. They also cleaned up after themselves and were very careful in our home, and the main installer did not mind me pestering him with questions. Most importantly, they did an excellent and thorough job. The next three days we had torrential rain and not a single leak! 10/10 recommend.

Nova Installations installed a bay window at my house a few weeks ago. There were no exterior windows on the wall before so they had to create the opening in the exterior wall to get the bay window in. All the work was done in a day. We couldn't be happier with the results. They did an awesome job and for a really really good price. The bay window they put in looks great and we love our new view. We will definitely be going back to them if we have any future window work needed.

I was unsure where to start seeing as I needed to replace all of the windows in the house (over 25). I am lucky that I came across Nova Installations. From the beginning it was a low pressure open discussion about windows and the options. I could not of been more pleased about the decision to use NOVA installations. They provided an extremely fair price for a fantastic product. Their installation team was fantastic, cleaned up after themselves and moved a pace I would of never expected. NOVA Installations once again did a fantastic job of replacing the last three windows in my house to match the 50 windows they did 10 years ago to replace the original builder installed windows. I didn’t replace the three windows at the time because they were replaced just earlier with Pella windows. But it turned out they didn’t last like the windows Nova installed which are still like new after 10 years. The team that installed the windows this time was as professional as the one before, paying a lot of attention to do the work properly and carefully. Art Dunn, the owner, has not changed at all after all these years even though his company has grown much larger. He still treats his customers with friendly personal attention and provides honest and very competitive pricing. Also, his assistant, Sheryl, is such a wonderful individual to interact with during the entire process. She provides excellent customer service and is always responsive to any questions. That’s why many of my neighbors and friends have been happy customers of NOVA through the years.

Tom and Art are solid, honest, dependable people with excellent crews. We've had them replace our windows, siding, gutters, and roof over the years and have come to value them for their expertise and advice.
