Evergreen Contracting Services

I hired Evergreen based on a high recommendation from a real estate broker in the DC area as i needed a gym floor installed in a newly purchased and renovated home. It was a relatively small job but the level of service and professionalism was incredibly high in all respects. They went beyond what was asked (at no price increase) including driving much further to obtain the materials that i had pre purchased as that supplier had shipped the flooring to a further away location by mistake. From communicating to me about the next steps to pricing to actual installation they were 5 stars! Their professionalism , responsiveness and trustworthiness was incredible. I couldnt more highly recommend them for any type of project.

David and his install team did a phenomenal job on remodeling our small kitchen, making it much more functional and beautiful before our family arrived for the holidays. They had great attention to detail and allowed us to give feedback and request small modifications, as the project was ongoing.

They even went outside the scope of our contract (no cost to us), fixing a leak coming from the vent, replacing a damaged section of the subflooring/sealing the water intrusion, supplying a dishwasher kit, and attaching a small island to the floor (along with the butcher block on top of it). We were on a tight budget, but David and his team went above and beyond to accommodate.

Please note, we did choose to get our own licensed plumber for the kitchen sink/dishwasher plumbing. David’s install team (not licensed plumbers) did the initial install to get it functional, but we noticed a couple minor issues that we happily paid out of pocket to get fixed. Overall, we saved thousands by going with Evergreen (versus the 3-4 other contractors we spoke with). Highly recommended!

I had a great experience working with David and his team. From the initial meeting to the end of the project, David showed enthusiasm and patience, as I worked through budget and design. He helped me select the right materials and guided me through what was needed and optional for the project, to make sure that I did not spend on unnecessary things. He also guided me through my application for permit, as it was my first time doing it, and was basically on call the entire time for any questions, not matter how basic it was. David made sure that the project was within budget, that the result was exactly how I wanted it to be, and even followed up with the result after the project was finished. I will definitely hire him again for future projects!

They did a great job on repairs. Black mold and rotted wood was taken care of and it looks like new. I asked them to come back for some work on my deck and they walked me through a few possible fixes and quotes, and then followed through in less than a week.

David and his team were great. He gave us honest advice and guidance through the whole process, the team was efficient and skilled, and the final result is beautiful!

Truly cares about any client, potential or not. I called to hire a contractor to submit permits on my construction, and luckily was informed that I may be wasting my money because of changes within the city. Great customer service and care for his clients.

David was very responsive when I reached out to request a quote. He came over the same day, and we talked through several different projects. After receiving the itemized proposal, we went through a few iterations of adding and subtracting small projects, and David was quick to provide updated quotes. Once we agreed on a final proposal, the team got started in a couple of days and completed work in three separate rooms in just over a week. We are very pleased with the work and definitely recommend Evergreen Contracting!

We had a great experience with David and his team, Adam and (another) David. He came out to give us a quote within 24 hours of calling and was able to start replacing our sunroom floor within a week. David gave us great suggestions when we were choosing the new flooring material, and he and his crew were awesome when we came across a few hiccups (namely, a family of raccoons living under the floor they were tearing out). They took it in stride and made the modifications to seal up the places where our uninvited guests were coming in. His crew was always on time, always professional, and they did a really great job. We're already planning to work with Evergreen again.

We had a large part of our ceiling collapse with very little warning. Though I had never worked with David before, he answered my call and made time to come out and see the damage. He and his team were able to fix the damaged section and secure other other impaired areas of the ceiling quickly and professionally, making time for our emergency repairs.

I recently bought an older property which needed some cometic work throughout the house. David walked through my house with me and offered great insight into which projects would yield great return on investment and which changes would probably be too costly to bother with. I appreciated his candid advice and felt like he wasn't trying to 'upsell' me on projects I could handle myself. His team replaced my basement ceiling, installed lighting, and painted the walls and bathroom and did a fantastic job. His workers are courteous, professional and helpful. One of them even offered to help me move a washing machine upstairs. The teams was done in less than two weeks and my family and I are happy with the results.

We used Evergreen for a complete kitchen remodel. We knocked down walls and completely gutted the previous kitchen. We got several bids and Evergreen gave us the most value for our money. David Guerin and his Evergreen team did a fantastic job remodeling two bathrooms and a powder room for us. The work was good quality and the before and after difference is amazing. I wanted to build a home gym in my basement and was recommended to Evergreen Contracting by a gym equipment wholesaler. I’m glad I got that recommendation because Evergreen specializes in building home gyms. The owner Dave G, is a great guy and really knows what he’s doing. The gym was just competed today and I can’t say enough about what a great job they did. They built out the whole space including gym flooring, paint, dry wall, electrical, mirrors and glass doors to compete the look which gives the appearance of a high end boutique gym or spa. Evergreen did a fantastic job and I recommend them highly.

I needed someone to fix an hvac issue that was a possible fire hazard and after trying to find the right person, David was so helpful and willing to provide recommendations. I would definitely recommend these guys! This is the third time I've hired a company to work on my home. I was unsatisfied with the first two companies, and I was beginning to think it was me, but David and Adam were awesome. Owner David Guerin is not only responsive and price-reasonable, he was also professional, punctual, and good to his word. I reached out to David following a lot of frustration with other "specialty" tile vendors/installers when we needed our bathroom retiled. After six weeks of dealing with other companies, I called him at 5p on a Friday afternoon. Dave and his team are great people. They really did quality work at my house. I am very pleased. Exterior rotten wood was fixed, entire outside was painted, changed wood flooring, three toilets, replaced exhausts, painted the house, fixed drywall issue due to frozen pipes and fixing of deck and sanded. This is called "General" contractor. You just hire one company to do all the Great work in your house.

I verified the reputation of all the companies I contacted to repair the damage. Evergreen stood out for reputation and price. Evergreen repaired the garage to my complete satisfaction and left my garage looking like new. Full cleanup after the completed work also. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Evergreen's crew did a great job raising a kitchen cabinet recently. They were very professional, very efficient. They also made sure they cleaned up the area after they they finished their work. I will probably use them again for a larger remodeling job and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great cabinet or other remodeling work at a reasonable price.

After doing research on the internet, and reading reviews of David's company, I decided to have him and team remodel my bathroom. David made recommendations for the best improvements that were needed, and found the cost to be reasonable. He displayed nothing but professionalism, and his expertise was greatly appreciated, since this was my first project. Needless to say, the "new" bathroom is beautiful and I am extremely happy with the final outcome. We came home from vacation on a Thursday night to find the ceiling in our son's bedroom was cracked from wall to wall, and in imminent danger of collapse. Dave came out on Friday afternoon, gave us a fair and reasonable estimate, and his crew was at work Saturday morning and finished by Tuesday--exactly the schedule he told us he would meet when he provided the estimate. The Evergreen workers are magicians. They can repair anything. The work is meticulous. The workers are friendly and professional. They work incredibly fast and their efficiency of movement in working as a team is interesting to watch. He was very responsive, coming to the house within 24 hours after I contacted him to assess the scope of the job and give me an estimate to repair water damage, replace the flooring, and re-paint our basement. They started the work the next day and David communicated with me each day of the project to give me a status update. If only I had had the presence of mind to take a "before" picture, you could see what an amazing transformation Evergreen provided for this bathroom renovation. The project took on some unexpected complications -- and I had a quick turnaround time and a hard deadline but David and his crew were timely, responsive and got it done. David worked with me and suggested things I could do to keep prices reasonable. His crew was capable and provided quality workmanship and troubleshooting as necessary even while David was away. David and his crew did a wonderful job on updating the kitchen and 3 bathrooms in our home! He and his crew did an especially nice job on the bathroom tiling. They used Coretec plus over our old cracked floor tile in the kitchen, which now looks great, and was economical and quick to install. They also repaired and stained our deck, which made it look like new! They worked around our schedule, and actually performed most of the work without us needing to be here.

In an emergency situation, they came out late on a Friday just to give me a price and had a crew at my door my the next morning a half hour before they thought they could. They moved fast but still remained focused and payed attention to details. They are respectful and I would recommend them to anyone.

David Guerin and Evergreen Contracting was awesome. I hired them to retile my master bathroom from the original 1988 tile to a new nice tile to the ceiling. David came over and gave his opinion on what would look best and even threw in a nice glass decorative piece. When I signed the contract, David and his team was in here in the next two days to get the job done quickly for us. His team was also very professional and nice.

Dave's team was fantastic! We had some issues with the product we bought...some of the stone tiles crumbled when they were picked up. We got the defective tiles replaced and Dave was very patient with us as we were understandably nervous about whether these stone tiles could be installed adequately. With the new tiles in hand, Dave's team did an amazing job of laying them. They were very, very meticulous in the work and they were very glad to work with us to lay them out exactly as we wanted (we had tiles with many different colors in them and wanted them laid out in a particular way). All three members of Dave's team were very professional and affable as well. I enjoyed chatting with them as they worked.

"Cold called" Evergreen Contracting Services because I am new to the area and it happened to be right down the street from our condo. Needed a quick turn on a bathroom floor because during my DIY toilet removal I found that that floor had been water damaged. The owner answered the phone and listened to my tale of woe (renters moving in so needed it done asap). David not only took the job but moved stuff around on his schedule to get it done right away. I called on Monday, it was done by Friday. Great work, fair price. Owner was easy to get hold of and was in constant contact via text to answer questions. I would recommend this company to anyone. We ordered workout room padded mats through Gym Source and Gym Source recommended Evergreen for installation because the shape of our room required mats to be cut. We originally chose to have Gym Source install the floor when our arc trainer was delivered so that everything would be finished the same day, but the Gym Source guys said (to their credit) that they weren't professional floor installers. We decided to wait and have Evergreen install the floors and we are so happy that we did. Waiting was the best decision.
The installers were courteous, professional and well prepared. They laid the floor beautifully and installed shoe molding so that the perimeter looks phenomenal. They then painted the shoe molding so that the color of the shoe molding matched the regular molding. And they even helped move the arc trainer and treadmill into position for me. I could not be happier with the total experience. If I was purchasing a new gym floor today then I would absolutely call Evergreen to have it installed. An easy decision.

Dave and his team did an outstanding job with replacing my shower and repairing my dining room ceiling. I would highly recommend him for home repairs. I plan on using his company again in the near future. Dave was in constant communications and was proactive in helping me purchase items that I had forgotten while he was at Home Depot. He team listened to any suggested changes and implemented them. They were careful to cover up the floor and furniture with drop cloths. I could not be more happier with my new shower and the repaired ceiling.

Dave and team did a great job for a very reasonable price. We did sort of a 1/2 kitchen re-model - new tile on the walls and new countertops, new microwave, new sink etc. They had to put in some new supports because this is a very old house! But we are very happy with it and it feels like a new kitchen!

Evergreen Contracting has completed a range of jobs on three homes and multiple business locations for me over the past decade. Simply put - they do the job right, on time and within budget every time. Dave and his crew were great. I contacted several different contractors to compare prices and Dave responded immediately and came to provide an estimate right away. The other two contractors were too pricey and one wasn't willing to come out to provide an estimate and belittled the work I was requesting and suggested I contact a "handyman" service (even though their site said they did this type of work). Dave was prompt, fair, responsive, and had a crew out right away to work on the different projects I had for him (wallpaper removal, painting, installing a backsplash in kitchen, repairing drywall in bathrooms, improving trim on bath vanity and kitchen cabinets, installing new shower door, getting someone in to reglaze my shower basin, installing new air vents in bathrooms). Lots of different jobs, and Dave's crew did a great job. They were polite and respectful of my home, and on time; I did need to go over the details and request some improvements to things/details overlooked, but the guys were always willing to listen and make any changes without complaint. As long as you're communicative about what you want, they will deliver! Great to work with!

I called Evergreen Contracting looking for a contractor who could complete a few repairs to my home quickly and at a reasonable price. The call was answered by Dave who is the head of the company and he worked with me to schedule a time the same day to come out, review my repairs needs, and provide a quote. I was fortunate that Dave and his crew could start work a day or two after agreeing to the terms of the proposal.

I was glad I selected Evergreen because they showed up at the time they agreed to on the first day of work. They immediately placed down floor coverings and moved my furniture so that nothing would be affected by the work to be performed. The crew was also pleasant and did their best to let me know what they would work on and how the work would progress.

I knew up front that the work would take a few days, but I knew after the first day I was receiving quality level work and corners were not being cut. Everything proceeded well and the end of the third day when the work was finished, my house was cleaned up and my furniture was returned to its original locations.

I have no complaints and I will use Evergreen again for any further contracting/repair work in my home. Quality work, clear communication, and pleasant work crews make this a stellar company.
