We had Wayne come out and fix our Transmission Parts washer. it was having some electrical issues and shorting out. he showed up on time and was able to find a short in one of the pumps. he fixed it and recommended some other maintenance. 100% would use again. thank you!

We had lost power to half our house the day before thanksgiving & are landlord wouldnt return are calls. I have 4 small children and not only was i
worried about heat but needed to be able to prepare a thanksgiving meal for my family. I called several companies but only Parks electric & mechanical company was willing to come during the holiday & was at my house within an hour of us speaking. He checked are outlets and all electrical inside our home but found we had a spliced wire in the ground that went to the main power pole outside .Mr parks and team went above and beyond they stayed and worked without stopping until my power was restored. Mr Parks saved the day. We had heat and I was able to prepare a thanksgiving meal for my family. Mr parks is very knowledgeable, thoughtful, and is defiantly a master of his work. He explained everything so i could understand. He even called to make sure that there were no more issues. In the future this will be my go to company to call. I highly recommend this company to anyone and would give 10 stars if i could.

We had a large, three bay garage built and needed electrical AND plumbing for it. Wires/pipes had to run from our house out to the detached garage. Within the garage, we had many outlets, quite a bit of lighting and plumbing for a sink. Mr.Parks did great work, the way we wanted it done, for a very reasonable price.
A year later, after a big storm we had some issues with one of the underground wires. This was no fault of Mr. Parks’ and well past any warranty period. He came out and fixed it without charging us anything.
He is professional and proud of his work. I would definitely hire him again.

My wife and I were in the process of remodeling our house and I contacted Mr. Wayne of Parks Electric & Mechanical. That turned out to be the BEST decision I have made in this year !!!!! And I actually mean it.

We had this vision of changing out our place and it required a lot of electrical work as well as gas/mechanical work; but we have been on a very limited/tight budget, so I wasn't sure we would be able to pull it off.

Our house came with Natural Gas, but it was only used for the Heating system, so part of the remodeling was to have a new gas line installed to run gas to the kitchen so that we can use a gas stove. The problem with this was, the layout of the house was immensely challenging on how to route the gas line as the location of the gas meter was far out and walling configuration of our house was such that an inconvenience, that; one would need to really know what they were doing to get this done..... Wayne, brilliantly, provided a solution for this and remarkably didn't have to tear out walls and HE DID WITH A FRACTION OF PRICE.

We also purchased a new kitchen island from Lowe's. It came as three separate custom cabinets that will need to be put together. One of the cabinet that makes the island would house a microwave and therefore required electrical wiring to install an outlet for the microwave and also provide outlets plugins on the exterior of the assembled kitchen island..... First of; Little did I know, assembling the cabinets was not an easy task as I thought it would. Cabinets were shipped with a long back panel that needed to be neatly cut to fit the size of the assembled island and other parts that need to be cut as well such as kicker plates, trim pieces and edge trims, moreover, the cabinet would have to be permanently installed on the floor since it runs electricity...... As you could imagine, any electrical services company would want to just do their job (of providing wiring into the kitchen island and that's it) But as I was struggling to put the cabinets together for the island (because I didn't have the tools to do the cutting of the panels and whatnot, WAYE and his guys did the whole assembly for me FOR FREE !!!!!!!! with his tools and was able to perform a clean electrical work on the finished island !!! Just magical !!!!

Also Wayne did more than 10 light fixtures including installing new lights and changing the existing lights into pendant lights... All these were done very very fairly in price and neatly....

WAYNE is a 10 out 10. I CAN NOT RECOMMEND HIM ENOUGH !!!! GO on and call this guy, you will not be disappointed!!!!!!!

I really don’t know where to begin with the blessing I received from this company and Mr. Wayne on today. Because of others reviews I chose him and he deserves every star available. I won’t list every detail of how he helped us but, I % recommend Wayne from Parks Electric. His type of service and care are extremely rare these days, and I am grateful.
So if you’re looking for someone who is knowledgeable, humble, willing to get the job done correctly. Look no farther than Wayne. Thanks fellow googlers for your previous reviews.

I unfortunately have to change my review to a one star. I re-hired this company thinking I would receive the same professionalism and customer service I received when I first hired him. I had two toilets that needed fixing and when he came to fix them he had the same pleasent attitude and great customer service. I noticed the water in my toilet bowl wasn’t rising like it was before and I explained everything over the phone and he had no problem coming back to fix it. He even joked around and asked if I was going to fix him breakfast, which I politely declined. However when he arrived he was a completely different person. He immediately spoke to me letting me know how long he had been in the profession as if I had insulated his work, which I never did. He then proceeded to have a very aggressive and rude tone. I asked him several times to not speak to me in that manner and he refused and even raised his voice at one point. When I informed him of how aggressive he was being after he raised his voice he rudely insisted he wasn’t and said it was just his personality and then just walked out of my house. He didn’t even allow me to look or view the work he was supposed to fix before leaving. He just walked out! This experience with him was like night and day! I don’t understand what his problem was today, because I would have never hired him of this was how he normally was. I was very uncomfortable and taken back because I explained everything in our phone conversation, never insulted his work, and again his attitude today was completely different from what I experienced prior. I wasn’t treated as a valued customer. I’m am a kind and respectful person, but I do not tolerate men who talk down to women and have aggressive energy towards them. I was going to have him do some work for my father and recommend him to other people, but I will not risk anyone going through what I went through with him today. I would give him a negative rating if I could. I unfortunately have to change my review due to this awful experience.

They immediately located the source of the gas smell in our home and quickly resolved the issue. They even took time to explain to us in layman’s terms what was going on and what steps they took. From start to finish, they were professional and communicative. Thanks again!

Parks Electric was my saving grace! I called around to about 10 different plumbing businesses and was told they couldn't help with my situation. We had a situation with our hot water tank the week of Christmas and had a hard time getting someone out to service it before it got too bad. We ended up getting a licensed plumber out to diagnose our problem, but as soon as he seen it was a more modern water tank with smart features, he did not want to even try to diagnose the problem. His solution was to contact manufacturer to get a new one since it was under warranty. I had already spoken with Mr. Parks that same morning when he returned my call from prior day, but told him I already had someone coming out to check out the situation. My gut told me to cancel the other appointment, but I did not. Little did I know, I would be calling Mr. Parks back that day. :-). He came and immediately detected/fixed the problem and our hot water tank was back in business. Mr. Parks will be my new go to person for electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.

Mr Parks is absolutely the best!! He is a master electrician, heating air-conditioning & refrigeration. After owning a local business, for over 15 years, and going through many different refrigeration/electrical companies, we have finally found THE ONE! Was having major sewer line issues at our rental property in NN. Wayne assessed the situation and provided honest feedback and a fair estimate. He also recommended that we tackle a potential supply line issue head on, since the lines were already exposed. Now we have excellent water pressure and easy flowing drain lines! I very highly recommend Parks Electric and Mechanical Company for your electric, HVAC, and plumbing needs. On Sept. 3, 2020, Mr. Wayne Parks installed a natural gas line from my gas meter to the kitchen for hookup to a new GE gas stove/oven appliance. The day was extremely hot and humid, but Mr. Parks worked through heat and finished the installation in one day. He arranged for the building inspector to come the next morning to approve the installation. The building inspector passed Mr. Parks' work with flying colors. Mr. Parks returned the morning of Sept 4 and helped me put the stove/oven in place. Prior to beginning the gas line installation, Mr. Parks checked the BTU rating of the other gas appliances in the house (water heater, furnace and fireplace). He then referenced his manuals to ensure the proper diameter gas line was installed. This was not done by the other three contractors I received estimates from.

Mr. Parks is a great problem-solver. He listens carefully and brings his extensive training and experience to each job. He's smart, patient and explains everything. He also has a low-key and low-stress presence, which is just what you need when something is not working.

Great experience! Mr. Parks is very knowledgeable and professional. I am a do it yourself kinda person. Mr Parks took his time to do the diagnosis of our A/C unit with me next to him, answering all my questions even though the unit was working correctly upon arrival.(typical) This day and age it is hard to find someone down to earth, patient and not wanting to just take you money and run. Wayne is the best called three others not one call back. Wayne called back even though he was working another job. I have had others tell me I needed a NEW furnace. Mine was One year old Wayne clean one sensor then showed me how to do it no charge. I just called him on a tankless water heater the man would not change a part until calling the company to completely troubleshoot it. I expected a large bill or a new unit fluctuating temps for two weeks and could not duplicate. When he was done it was a micro screen inside with lint like material. He cleaned it should me what to do the next time and then showed me a leaking pressure sensor. He ran to the store fixed it. Handed me a bill that even made me feel like I was ripping him off. Other than concrete no one else will ever touch my home repairs but Wayne. He is honest, professional and WILL NOT RIP YOU OFF BY CHANGING PARTS UNTIL IT STARTS WORKING. Parks Electric and Mechanical Co performed an emergency repair to a rental property I own. I am an out of town owner, over three hours away.
They responded immediately after I called and reported an electrical outage. Their assessment was that the city had an issue downstream from my home. Wayne reported the outage to the city and coordinated their response to ensure the repair was made. After the city finished, he inspected the home to ensure all was in proper working order. Unfortunately, the surge that cause the outage destroyed a transformer in the HVAC compressor. Wayne contacted a supplier he knows and asked him to open his store after hours so he could get the part. The HVAC was repaired and all was in normal working order. He communicated with me the whole time and kept me up to date on the effort. I was able to relay to the tenants the status. I will definitely use this company going forward for my rental properties. They saved the day!!

Our garbage disposal had stopped working. I later determined that it was not the disposal but the wiring leading to the disposal. Wayne came on fairly short notice and fixed the problem quickly. I also had him complete the installation of the new disposal that I had purchased.

My husband and I moved into our new house 2 days ago and suddenly our power quit working. We were having problems with some of our light fixtures as well as our outlets. We called Mr. Parks after seeing the favorable reviews and he came out the following day. He arrived on time and tested the light fixtures in the front of the house and well as the ones in the back. Mr. Parks also checked the wattage and the electrical cables. My husband and I found him to be quite thorough as he took his time trying to figure out the problems, while explaining those findings to us. I called on a Sunday regardIng a wall outlet. He was able to tell me I just needed to change the power cable on my dryer since it was an older outlet.

My wife and I woke up to our home temperature 10-15 degrees colder than the thermostat setting, and a winter storm was on the way. Initially, we reached out to a well know heating and air company, but they were unresponsive and could not get someone on site in a timely manner. Fortunately, I contacted Parks Electric & Mechanical Co. was Mr. Parks was out within the next hour looking at my heating system. I was at work while he looked at our system, but he really helped my wife understand the problem and options available. Water was freezing in our pipes, so Mr. Parks provided a professional fix, and advised on a long-term solution. The next day we got 6+” of snow, so our family is very grateful for Parks Electric services. It is obvious Mr. Parks cares about his customers, and I would recommend this company to anyone in the Hampton Roads area!

I called Mr. Parks in a panic! I had a pipe burst in a house that was vacant. He responded ASAP. Not sure of where the leak originated from, Mr. Parks spent the time to find and fix the leak, he also checked and fixed the electrical panel that had suffered water damage as well. Then he prepared the home for the upcoming cold weather so this wont happen again. He made the whole process so easy. He was very pleasant to work with and he kept me updated as he was going along. The best part was that he is licensed to do both the electrical and plumbing so I didn't have to coordinate getting two separate contractors in there to get it fixed. It's not often we see such cold weather in Williamsburg, VA!

Call this person because I was having some trouble with my furnace unit. It wasn't nothing to crazy wrong with it but, the technician was one of the most knowledable people I've talked to. And I called a couple before as well. He was a true professional by all means. If you ever need electric work and anything with your furnace or AC, this is the place to go. You won't be disappointed at all and their prices are great!

Wayne, of Park's Electrical & Mechanical, responded and came out to our rental property the very same day of the call. This was a huge relief! The roads were still an issue at the end of the blizzard here in our rural location, but Wayne jumped in his 4x4 and came out, investigated the issue with the window unit by taking it apart and deducing that the heat strip was not working to back up the heat pump. Above and beyond the call of service, and far superior to most customer service that we have experienced! This was the main source of heat for this small rental cottage and Wayne understood the urgency. He made great suggestions for temporary heat until we decide on how we would like for him to proceed and clearly explained our options for a more reliable source of heat for the rental unit. We are very impressed and will be calling him for work in the future.

Mr. Parks provided EXCELLENT service today. He came on time as we discussed late yesterday night that he would come out in the morning as promised. Thank you Mr. Parks! I was in an emergency situation and my landlord wouldn't come to help and the heat/lights were off in sub 0 temperatures!!! I was panicking. Mr. Parks came over late in the evening and did everything he could to help me. He was honest and straight forward and guided me along as he was investigating the problem. He went above and beyond what his job requires. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I would recommend this company for any of your electrical needs.
