The sentiment from customer reviews indicates a predominantly positive experience with Kustom US, particularly highlighting their professionalism and effective communication throughout various restoration projects. Many customers appreciated the promptness and attentiveness of the team, noting that they provided clear explanations and maintained communication during the process. However, there are notable concerns regarding billing practices and the handling of supplemental work requests, which some customers found frustrating. Overall, while the majority of reviews praise the service, these serious issues regarding transparency and customer rights create a more cautious perception.
- Kustom helped us work through a water leak we had in our home.
- Every Kustom team member has been professional, understanding, and showed kindness and patience from beginning to end.
- The quality of work and attention to detail on the water leak repairs look awesome.
- Communication was easy, and I always knew exactly what was going on with the project.
- The mitigation team was exceptional. They were courteous and understanding to our plight.
- Kustom US ultimately declined to continue working with me solely because I requested supplemental work.
- I was able to discover that customers were being charged by Kustom for work not done by Kustom but done from other contractors.
- During reconstruction, we had a couple of hiccups. The reconstruction took longer than we had anticipated.

I previously filed an insurance claim and chose to work with Kustom US as the designated contractor. It was my understanding, as clearly communicated to me, that while the insurance would cover the approved scope of work, I, as the homeowner, retained the right to pay out-of-pocket for any additional work I wished to have done. Despite this, Kustom US ultimately declined to continue working with me solely because I requested supplemental work—work I was fully prepared to cover at my own expense. This should never have been an issue, especially when it falls within my rights as a homeowner.
As a result of this situation, I am now left without a functioning kitchen, which has caused undue hardship. It has become abundantly clear through this process that Kustom US and Safeco Insurance (under Liberty Mutual) are operating in coordination with one another in a way that prioritizes their own convenience and interests over the needs of the consumer. Throughout my interactions, it felt as though both parties were more invested in protecting their own processes than in providing transparent service or fair support.
Whether miscommunication or misrepresentation was involved, the end result is the same: a complete lack of accountability. I now question whether I received the full scope of the coverage I was entitled to, and I believe this experience demonstrates how these entities operate in tandem in ways that are not aligned with the best interests of the policyholder.
Based on my experience, I would give Kustom US and Safeco/Liberty Mutual a rating of zero. I strongly urge others to proceed with caution or to avoid these companies altogether. The amount of misrepresentation and lack of consumer advocacy I encountered throughout this process borders on fraud, and I would not recommend these services to anyone

Kustom helped us work through a water leak we had in our home. They were prompt and professional every time they arrived to our home to take care of our issues. We really appreciated Erik and Frank - very trustworthy guys! They explained each step as we proceeded through each step of the process. And they cleaned up every time they had to mess things up! LOL
We recommend Kustom.

Every Kustom team member has been professional, understanding, and showed kindness and patience from beginning to end. Everyone made the process less intimidating and put my mind at ease every step of the way.

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
