I have been very happy with the crew that is doing the tear down of my bathroom. They have been very good about explaining what needs to be done and are keeping everything clean and livable as the work progresses.

Mitchell finished the restoration on my laundry room and master bathroom. He has high attention to detail, is customer focused, and efficient.

My insurance company sent Kustom for an estimate, and I worked with CJ. Very professional and polite to work with. Did a great job checking on reading water levels and drying of my laundry room, which washing machine leaked and left water damage. Thank you CJ for a job well done. Highly recommend!

After finding out having a water leak Kustom was quick to respond. Over the time of the demo there was little miscommunication on show time, but was quickly resolved. Luis, Juan, and Waldo are great at what they do. Talking with Amy during this as well very helpful. Great company and would recommend them to anyone in the area.

Following our water heater failure, we have just completed the water mitigation for the second time since the first company failed to complete the drying process and it resulted in a lot more extensive work and cost to our insurance. We are very pleased with Kustom US. All of the employees we dealt with ( Luis, Kevin and Waldo ) were professional, communicative and always on time. We would highly recommend their services.

Took our money after the 2024 bomb cyclone then ghosted us for months. They paid a sub about $2k to finally repair the roof then I fired them for the remaining work. They made me meet them in Lynnwood so they could extort over $6500 from us. Had to agree in order to get the remaining $14k+ down payment back. Refund check took weeks to get.

Finished remaining work myself and via much better tradespeople I hired directly.

Run, don't walk away from this shady company!

I had a water leak in my bathroom due to a broken faucet, and Kustom US handled the entire insurance restoration process for me. From start to finish, their team was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. They communicated clearly with both me and my insurance company, and the repairs were done quickly and to a high standard. My bathroom looks even better than before the damage. I really appreciate their help and would definitely recommend Kustom US to anyone dealing with property damage.

Kustom US responded quickly to a tree that fell on my house, technicians were polite, on time and worked quickly to clear out the tree debris.

Kustom (Seattle, WA office) was the only recommendation by our home insurance company for water mitigation and reconstruction. Would not recommend or use again.

It was a relatively small job with only $15K of damages which affected a bathroom, a hallway and closet with solid wood floors. From demolition to certificate of completion, the job took 70 days, which is excessively long for a house living space to be in chaos.

Project management was a constant headache. Scheduling of when different aspects of the project, workers, etc was a frustration throughout the project. Weeks would go by with no workers onsite. Self-imposed deadlines by the Project Director would be missed, repeatedly. In the final weeks, the Operations Manager made defamatory allegations about the client.

Quality is lacking. While the workers were pleasant, majority of them lacked the attention to detail when applying their trade. The punch list of final items was long. Not cleaning up after themselves, repainting of areas missed, fixing outlets, trim alignment, etc. There are multiple scratches in the brand new refinished wood floor from the workers failure to properly protect it. There are multiple locations where paint is missing in the bathroom; new vanity has scratches, door trim misaligned, etc. We will seek alternative companies for assisting with these fixes.

Kustom has staffing issues. Multiple employees quit, hired, or reassigned during the project. Near the end of the project, multiple workers were brand new and had just been hired in the week prior.

Professional and efficient. They have been great repairing our home after a water leak from our washer. We needed drywall, flooring, and trim work done. Carlos who worked on the drywall texturing matched it so well you can’t tell any work was done.

Update:
They finally came in to dispose the toilet and the other stuff.
They charged $8,000 only for a bathroom demo and never disposed the toilet and curtain holder since agust 2024. We called Melinda, the project manager, and she said she would send someone, but nobody came. We have been calling and calling, but she stopped answering our calls. We never did the bathroom reconstruction with them because they never started after the demo even though we were calling and calling and calling them to ask them start the reconstruction. We had someone else to do it in December. Yes, for 4 months with had no bathroom. Their customer service is horrible. I hope that after this review they finally come to get the toilet to dispose it.

KUSTOM RESTORATION has been SO incredibly amazing since our devastating house fire in early January. They have guided us each step of the way. Each and every employee answers our many questions promptly with patience and expertise. KUSTOM is on the job without delay with thoroughness and concern. They have reassured us and made a traumatic experience so much easier.

Kevin G. , Juan R. And Luis M. Responded to mitigate damages from a water leak in the ceiling of my home. The crew was very respectful of my home and needs. They ensured drying of interior spaces occurred without removing excessive amounts of drywall. The crew did very nice work and left the work site clean. If you need proper mitigation work, call Kustom as their field crews are top notch.

My schedule was difficult but theses guys made it work! I'm also very picky and had some things reworked during the repair and they made everything perfect! The ceiling they worked on has rounded corners and lots of crown molding pieces and they Replaced everything with brand new pieces.
I bought a new paint color for the ceiling repair and they not only painted the repaired area but also painted parts of the existing areas to match! I was worried about overspray on windows and carpet But they left no trace of construction behind.

Mario and his team demonstrated care and strong values throughout the entire process. He was communicative, and took the time to listen and thoroughly address all of my concerns. His attention to detail and commitment to high standards were evident in every step of the process. The efforts were above and beyond to resolve any issues, ensuring I was 100% satisfied with the final outcome.

Waldo did an incredible job following up. I had great trust in what he did. He's an asset and great steward of customer service.

This was my first experience working with a restoration company. I was pleased with the high level of professionalism, the quality of the work and the friendly attitudes of those I interacted with. They also managed to complete the project much more quickly than was expected and we are all very grateful.

I'm not sure how there are so many good reviews. This was terrible service and we completely regret engaging Kustom US. Initially, we thought it was going to be easier and faster to help us coordinate damage to our property from a fallen tree during storm. It was the opposite ... we could have done this for less money and less time than waiting for them. The communication and expectation setting was awful. Lots of phone calls, texts, waiting, and no one replies to email. First, the company/people that came out to cut up the tree from our yard arrived unannounced and never knocked on our door; they just started working. They were using a chainsaw that was very small and not fit for the job. They also had no protective gear like helmets, steel-toed boots, protective eyewear, etc. One gentleman was wearing pajama pants. The crew put a lot of the tree in the storm drain and side of the road in front of our property. We have no idea if they knew the county was coming by to pick up debris on the road (our neighbor had coordinated that) or if they just decided on their own to put it in the drain/side of the road. Then we waited and waited for someone to come pick up the remaining debris in our yard. Eventually someone in a Kustom van showed up to take the remaining tree debris. He was very kind, but was not prepared with the right tools or vehicle. The remaining debris/limbs were extremely heavy and he looked like he was struggling and in a lot of pain; obviously couldn't get the job done alone and too late in the day. A few days later, he came back with 2 other workers. My husband gave them water and ended up helping them finish the work since they were having a tough time. I believe it took one more visit from another person for the final debris removal. Extremely inefficient planning.Then it took more phone calls and escalations to get the fence repair done. One thing they were quick on was to send us invoices after the work had been completed. We received two invoices with just dollar amounts with no breakdown of the costs. We never were shown estimates/quotes. We don't even know the name of the companies/contractors that fixed the fence and did the initial tree cut-up and clean-up. Only one invoice for the fence with no breakdown of the cost by labor or material and an invoice for the tree clean-up with no break down of each visit. Kustom didn't even haul away a majority of the tree debris, the county did, so I'm not sure how it cost nearly $5000 to clean-up and remove the tree. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. Now, I need to go back and work with our insurance company to get reimbursed the difference in their estimate vs actual cost with no detailed breakdown of that cost.

I've lived in my home for 30 years. When we had a kitchen fire, it came down to going through and cleaning everything we own. I was so thankful for how respectful Waldo and Ryedan were with us. It's hard having people come into your home and go through and move all your belongings. These two however, took the anxiety out of it. I can't thank them enough.

Had water damage in my kitchen last November from a faulty water line. The company who came to dry it out ultimately stripped my kitchen down to the studs and sub-floor, requiring a complete rebuild. When a contractor failed to show up in December, we were referred to Kustom US by our insurance company. The Project Manager, Joel, that was assigned to us did an amazing job of scheduling everything. From sheet rock repair, to the complete rebuild of my kitchen, as well as all of the specialized contractors that were needed for this rebuild.
There were a few hiccups along the way, but that’s to be expected. No project of this magnitude goes without a few of them. Joel was phenomenal with keeping us updated along the way, reducing any stress we had about this job. He even made himself available 24/7 if we needed him.
Ultimately, the rebuild is absolutely beautiful. Stunning is another example to describe the end result.
I can’t say enough great things about Joel and the contractors that did the amazing work on my kitchen.
I wouldn’t hesitate for one second to refer any or all of them. If you need any work done in your home, these are the guys to do it. You will not be disappointed. I promise.

Probably one of the worst days of my life was turned somewhat right side up by Kustom Disaster Restoration. The woman who helped me through this process, Melina, was nothing short of amazing and her crew was exceptional. She made it so easy… unlike some of the competitors who shall remain nameless… and the crew was respectful, empathetic, and professional. I usually don’t do reviews but Melina and her crew really made a difference for me and my family. Every other company I called made me feel as if I did something wrong and had zero compassion for my situation.. 10/10 recommendation.

Oh my god there I was stuck up crap creek without a paddle….literally. During the last thunderstorm my septic system had a catastrophic failure and flooded, there was stuff shooting out of every drain, sink and toilet in the house.When it stopped there was 6” of stuff on the main floor …..Melina’s team was exceptional. She was quick to respond to my questions after the inspection and Luis and Waldo were there in a few hours dressed professionally in full PPE to bail me out, I mean this whole property smelled awful and looked like someone had a chocolate bar fight. Ryedan, Max and Kevin showed up in similar gear and disappeared into places unknown under the house, they eventually emerged from the crawlspace looking like muddy Ninja Turtles and in no time my home was cleanly torn down, equipment was setup and my house dried out and prepped for repair. They made a very crappy situation highly bearable.

Kustom has been amazing to work with! Theo and Terry were very professional, responsive and easy to coordinate with. Hopefully we won't have to deal with another flooding catastrophe, but if we do I will definitely use Kustom again!

Contacted this facility for work on my home. Left a message and was contacted within 10 minutes with a scheduled date, time and team to take care of the work. Melina helped me navigate through the process explaining everything very thorough and in a way that even I could understand. Melina and her restoration team provided outstanding service. Very prompt response throughout the process. The on-site team was on-time, communicated well and very professional. They made the insurance claim process pretty seamless.

All I can say is that Melina Torres and her team at Kustom are on top of their game. We are in the process of selling our home and the buyer’s home inspector falsely stated that we had mold in our attic. Melina was able to have a team do an inspection the next day and determined that there in fact wasn’t and type of mold or moisture problem. This experience has been such a good one, that I almost wish I had more need of their services. Customer care and service used to be something companies cared about, Kustom still does and I very much appreciate that!!

Kustom and especially Luis and his coworkers did an outstanding job. Always courteous and respectful and explained the process in detail. I would highly recommend this company to help you get through those tough days with unfortunate and unforeseen house damage.
