The lady I spoke with was pleasant, but ultimately of no help. I asked her repeatedly if her department services appliances and she kept saying yes, and asking me questions. Once the questions were finished she told me that they didn't service appliances, but that she would connect me with a company that did. I was put on hold about half a dozen times before I finally gave up. Not the end of the world, but a big waste of my time.

Everything was fine, I found what I went in to get having looked it up before going. I used the text option on the website to tell me what aisle and bin. It was exactly where it was supposed to be.

I had new carpet installed in all the bedrooms. The installers left a cut in my wall and scratched all over my base boards. Called Home Depot the day it happened and was told the manager would help fix this. Called again and was told he would get back to me. Manager has yet to respond to me.

Went to this store for vinyl sheet flooring, found a sample we liked at a reasonable price. Arranged for measuring -- had to pay $35 for this service -- credited towards flooring purchase or non refundable if no purchase. Man came out very quickly -- did measure very quickly & efficiently -- no conversation at all -- don't ask questions -- just there to measure. Rec'd cost quote w/n 2 days -- it included approx $1000. charge for skimming floor surface -- an item which we knew & had told them it didn't need & we wouldn't agree to. Husband phoned Home Depot & discussed quote at length over several different calls with several different people to have skimming removed from proposal but they insisted it had to be included. "David" of HD flooring even said he could tell from photos the measure man took that our floor needed skimming!! That ended our interest in HD for anything in the near future. Beware the skimming scam that so many flooring places tack on -- you may not really need it!! This is an easy $1000+ fee right out of your pocket!

Paid Home Depot for new HVAC system. Home Depot contractor installed wrong system and destroyed my home. They also wrote 2 years interest free financing on the contract I signed but only gave me one year. Do yourself a favor and do not use Home Depot for any HVAC services. Even the carrier rep stated the contractor did not do their job, but Home Depot sided with shady contractor.

I had Home Depot install siding & gutters at my private residence. It was the biggest mistake of my life. The siding is substandard and they never cleaned up after installation. In addition it took them several weeks to complete my gutters which caused/resulted in the flooding of my residence. Unprofessional installation, total lack of project management by their sub contractor, and no honoring of warranties and customer protection by Home Depot or their liability insurance.

Poor delivery and installation services. Even poorer warranty service, even if you purchase the extended warranty through Home Depot. The $3,000 Samsung refrigerator is 2 months old and is already having problems. We spent 45 minutes and numerous phone transfers trying to get warranty service. I spent 10 minutes trying to get through the numerous warranty menus regarding what year your product was sold. Make sure you have a pen, paper, abacus and Ouija board handy to figure out which number you need to press! For as much money as Home Depot makes on extended warranties, one should expect reasonable service. They should have a responsive phone center system set up to handle their calls. The existing system is pathetic. I feel like my money has been wasted on the Home Depot extended warranty. Since it was within 90 days, I should have gone directly to Samsung, I have had superior service from them in the past, and feel as if I should have foregone the cost of what appears to be a worthless Home depot extended warranty.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
