My experience with Excel was excellent. They responded to my need for maintenence of my rv in a professional, friendly and timely manner.They even finished it up 2 days early..I will definatly use them again for my rv service!!

Came here Thursday July 3rd at 5pm. Dealer was closing in 3 hours and was going to be closed the next 3 days for the holiday. Chris the service writer was very helpful and was able to fit me in for a diagnosis. I had multiple fault codes for accelerator and a check engine light on. Jordan the mechanic was able to figure out that I had faulty CPC, swapped with new CPC, programmed it, check engine went away, truck is back to normal. Thank you guys!

My tractor was towed in due to coolant leak. Find out it was the radiator had blown. Needed a new radiator. They got it completed in a timely manner and Chris in service department set me up with a shuttle to hotel and when completed called me and told me my truck was ready for pickup. Got there, Chris had paperwork all ready and waiting for my signature and keys. Also gave me a ride to my truck on the golf cart. I recommend here for service and if you do go here deal with Chris he will take care of you and be courteous to you.

The service writer Courtney, and the technician were very professional, and efficient and explained every process step, by step. Courtney went way out of her way to make my time there as pleasurable and painless as possible. Courtney and Wes We’re absolutely amazing. Was the fastest service I have ever had done at any dealership I had warranty work done that took other dealerships a week and a half to do and they had it done in less than a day. Thank you guys so much my forever dealership.

Mark and Chris are the best, got me in and the truck fixed within an hour, the technician Tim H worked fast and was very nice as well.

We had amazing experience here today. Chris is a lifesaver. We came in Derate last night late , loaded with Milk that needed to be urgently delivered. This morning the repair shop opened at 7AM and worked on short hours because is Saturday. At 1pm our truck was ready to hit back the road! Chris is great Service advisor.

Had a breakdown and had to get towed Exel , Weyers Cave, VA. Mark and his team gave me all instructions on what to do next to get in the shop.
Heading there with the intention of getting into an hotel but couple hours their driver’s lounge a team member notified me they had repaired my truck. Big thanks again guy!!!!!

Driver takes the time to make sure are order is correct and on time. (It almost always is). Good experience with all the staff I have delt with.

Brought my truck in for a blocked starter and a failure in the cpc system. Techs were able to get me fixed up quick, and found other looming issues that could have shut me down somewhat soon, in the future. Spoke with Chris throughout the week in the service department, and he was able to give me details throughout the process to keep me informed. Found ABS issues that had cropped up, when I went to pickup the truck, that I believe were new, as the truck has a history of popping up errors not long after being repaired. Shop was able to get that resolved in under 30 minutes.

Would definitely feel comfortable bringing my truck back into Weyers Cave, if needed, again. With any luck, hopefully it won't be necessary.

These folks here at Excel are 10 steps above the rest. If you are taking you commercial truck anywhere else, you definitely aren't getting the best service possible. Your guy might be good but these are the greatest especially in terms of doing their customers right. So, I took a freightliner bucket truck down there because this truck had some serious electrical issues. I put off fixing it for months, trying to save money but It got to the point where the lights wouldn't work at times at others they'd come on and go off. Sometimes the truck wouldn't even start. It would act like a dead battery but wouldn't Jumpstart. Then magically it would. It was all over the place. The safety man riding me, losing money on down time, it was a headache. I had a guy who owns his own mobile big truck repair place, and has alot of vdot work (speaks for his credentials) and he couldn't locate the issue. Anyways these guys went over this truck, tested every relay and couldn't find anything either. Luckily a smaller guy was able to get in behind the dash and seen where a screw came through the dash and had nicked a wire causing a bad spot in it. Which was creating a "ground-out" situation. Well, he repaired the wire, checked it out, everything seemed fine. What we didn't know is it was part of the problem, something else was going on. I guess this truck is possessed. Anyhow it started again a while later, I called them, they said to bring it back. Well this was on a thur when we dropped it off that following Monday I got a call from a gentleman that told me my truck was ready, I asked what it was, he told me that instead of playing cat and mouse with it again, (anyone who has dealt with any electronic systems know what I mean, they're crazy enough on a passenger vehicle, imagine a big truck) they just replaced the entire electrical harness for me. I said good deal and asked what we owed. The guy told me nothing at all. That they stand behind their work and didn't want me to feel like I got less than the best work and customer service available. Paraphrased that but it's the gist of it. Because that's exactly what I got. You couldn't even take your car to the dealership and get this type of service. I've known people who have taken theirs to the dealership, got a repair, and issue not be fixed, then take it back and get another bill. I'm sure we all know that person or have been that person. This is nothing but straight up fair business through and through, I don't know of anybody.That could be more straight up than this. We already take our trucks there. But if I didn't I surely would now. I feel like i'm the one that cheated them because that particular issue can't be located, you have to try something and see if it works and For these folks to eat the cost of the material plus the labor Just to keep a satisfied customer and a good name is unheard of nowadays. That's a lot of money they lost to do that. Anyone Managing a business or finances knows cost/profit management and understands what a step that was. You don't even have to do that work really to know what a great deed this was. Best trucking repair place hands down. If you're taking your vehicle somewhere else, you're missing out.

The lady at the front desk was nice and understanding with our dogs. The lit was quite full of trailers hard to get around. Busy place. We were both treated respectfully. They did have a grumpy man,but who doesn't.

They did a good job overall but let us take the road with a wheel seal leaking that they were supposed to fix not impressed

What a great bunch of guys!! Chris and Preston really took care of us!! We are a small trucking company and continually get hammered with big bills from big dealers and these guys got us in and out in about 2 hrs!! And at a very reasonable price!! Thanks guys!

This place is great!!! we had the PTO stop working on one of 2024 Western Star 49X tractor while trying to load milk on a cold snowy day (02/12/25). Excel was very busy and because of the nature of or business they worked us in ASAP, and were able to help us through our problem.
MARK KLINE and DUSTIN AMBROSE were great, went over and above. We will be back again.

I have to say this company at the Weyers Cave location is 100% professional, caring & does phenomenal work. Our commercial box truck was hit by a huge deer and damaged the whole front end disabling it on the back roads of WV. Chris & Kirt worked with the tow company, our insurance & us (3 states away!). I highly recommend if you need to service a commercial vehicle… you call these guys! Even in the late hours (after they had closed up for the night) I was able to text them questions. Again, thank you for taking care of us!!!

Good, honest mechanics! They get me in quickly, and the waiting area is really nice and comfy. Definitely the nicest truck shop I’ve ever been to.

My husband, Tom, a driver with Crete/Shaffer, recently had a great experience at the Weyers Cave location of the Excel Truck Group. A couple of months ago, he had accidentally left 2 big bags of his personal belongings at their shop. So he called to ask them if they could hold onto everything until he could come back to pick up it up. Every employee he spoke to was very nice, professional and reassuring, especially Kurt, when Tom would call to check on his things. They really went out of their way to do him such a big favor. And, the body work they did on his truck was excellent. Thanks for everything, Kurt!

Very fast service fist Frightliner dealership I have seen who did PM service in 2 hours. Chris was at service desk very nicely explain everything too me . He was very nice and treated all his customers very respectful. Keep kit good work

Check engine light came on and they were kind enough to work us in the same day. Fortunately th ey had the sensor needed and they put someone on it to fix it right away.

Thank you Chris and Daniel for getting me in and out of your shop in under 2hrs after a broken belt took out a bunch of wires. They kept me in the loop with every step instead of just leaving me in the drivers lounge.More shops need employees like this location has!

This dealer has set the standard the all the Freightliner dealers that
need to follow. I have been in this industry for almost 7 years and this is the first time I see a dealer actually care about the customer and the truck. I would recommend to pass up every Freightliner dealer and go directly to this dealer if you want a shop that does their job correctly and is working for the customer. At the end of the day none of us would have a job if it wasn't for the customers so thank you so much for being an honest knowlegeable shop. Thanks again.

My truck Der system went out . Came to excel and Chris the man at the front desk . Worked fast and made it happen really him and the employees of excel. Made it happen they closed at 330 and had me out at 317pm
Got here at 245 pm
said they would get me in and out and that's what they did .

While traveling in our RV we had serious trouble with our suspension system that required us to get an immediate repair. We looked up Freightliner services near us and called Excel in Weyers Cave. Courtney answered the phone and got us right in for a look at the issue. After finding the problem they immediately ordered the part which then arrived the next day. Dustin got us into the shop early morning and we were back on the road by noon. We can’t thank Courtney and Dustin and the whole team there for helping us so quickly and professionally . We highly recommend Excel!

This location at Weyers Cave went above and beyond. I recommend them to anyone in this area. We have a 45' RV that had a coolant leak as we were travelling through the area. Called Excel Truck Group and spoke with Courtney who sent Kent to our location on a exit ramp. Could not fix on the road, hooked us up with Penn Laird Towing (5 star as well). Chris in service was fantastic, got RV in right away n Preston started working on it and fixed it up. They have a lounge with amenities, ordered pizza n chilled till it was done. Thanks to everyone who helped and got us back on the road. 5 star plus!

Wow!!!! Weyers Cave,VA.... A Blessing to me , I had a differential replaced at a Freightliner shop in NY, 2 weeks after picking up my truck it went back down due to the work being done poorly. Courtney working the service desk was able to get my truck in right away. Dustin the shop manager brought my truck in and they noticed metal and all kinds of things that wasn't done right, a really bad situation. After going back in fourth about the warranty with the other location we were able to get the rework approved. I got here on a Monday and by Wednesday, I was able to roll out!!! These Guys was Truly a Blessing they done and excellent job putting my truck back together, it's much better than it was when I got here. I recommend any drivers having a problem with your truck this is the place to bring it. THESE GUYS ARE PROFESSIONAL,KIND AND VERY SERIOUS ABOUT SOLVING AND FIXING ANY PROBLEMS YOU HAVE WITH YOUR TRUCK... DON'T HESITATE TO USE WEYERS CAVE,VA.....

Awesome shop! I brought in a trailer needing several welds fixed as well as a custom tail light fixture done up and they got me right in! The lot is a mess yes but it's really not the end of the world. I was back to rolling that very same day and they have a bathroom for drivers as well as a lounge area. Can't say enough about the amazing service I received here!!

My a/c went out. I was also having issues with the collision mitigation system and cruise control. Courtney did a fantastic job getting my truck right in to get the a/c fixed.They were very busy so I had to wait till morning for the electrical fixes, but had the a/c for the night. In the morning they got right on my truck and had all issues corrected and I was back on the road well before lunch time. GREAT JOB EXCEL!

Great customer service and the mechanic was very fast in addressing the problem!!! I had to get a def pump replacement and I was in and out in less than 2 hours!!!

We had our RV door installed with Excel Truck Group in Weyer Cave. They did a great job , they staff is very friendly,and helpful with our questions. They took on this job when no one else would . First of all, if you are specialized Freightliner dealer, you should know about freightliners and have access to any technical support and have professional technicians who can diagnose and " good common sense" "knowledge". Drove my Freightliner, all I got; charge for the labor, charged for some kind of sensor, which most likely have nothing to do with the issue, and was not able to talk directly to mechanics. $850 down the road, and same issues nothing been fixed.

Our motorhome was towed to Excel Truck Group where we spent the night. The next morning by 7:30 am, the technicians Liam and Dustin were performing diagnostics to find the issue with the engine injector fuel rail pressure. Dustin and Liam were very thorough in diagnosing and then repairing this complex issue in the Cummins X15 605hp engine. They had us back on the road that very day.

CHRIS @ SERVICE is an outstanding, professional & very polite person. I have been there twice & each time the way he helped was perfect. I would recommend if you ever need any kind of service, a MUST visit place. Thanks Excel Group for a great team efforts there. Mark was also very knowledgeable and guided throughout the service.

Fantastic!! For there a little after 7 for def problem. I stated they looked busy, but the service guy assured me they could at least diagnosis the problem and if it were something simple, they’d fix it right away. Also stated they had 6 trucks to look at ahead of me, and they should have me in by noon. They pulled truck in about 10:30/11:00 and was on my merry way before 1. After breaking down more often than I’d like to admit and staying down for 6/7 days, it was greatly appreciated to find a place to get you in and out. Truck is driving so much better. Can’t say thank you enough!

Dustin and Nick did an excellent job at getting us going in short period of time and did a good job getting Nick out there. Nick and Dustin were very cooperative and friendly. Very good experience as someone with an rv.

Skip these scammers. Do not do alignment here or purchase batteries. They just scan it and tell you it is good to go and won't fix it. Went to Kenworth and they spent 3 hours and fixed it. Also sold be 4 batteries where only one was good and 3 are bad 2 momths later and refunded me only partially. DO NOT GO HERE

I have dealt with a lot of parts places in the past 12 yrs an I have to say hands down that Excel Truck Group in Weyerscave VA is by far the best place that I have done business with, everyone their works as a team, everyone is very respectful knowledgeable. I like everyone their but I only deal with certain people such as Matt, Greg an Ben in the parts not that I'm saying that anyone else isn't good it's just I've had a very good experience working with these guys they go far an beyond to make sure that they get me the right parts all the time an that's what make a good place is guys like them.
