I can't say enough good things about our experience with Ferris Home Improvements. From the very first consultation with Meredith and team (Danny and Glen), to the final walk-through, their communication was top-notch—clear, prompt, and genuinely collaborative.
We had a neglected space that was little more than a catch-all for clutter, and now it functions for what we need and looks beautiful. Meredith guided us through the selection process with patience and expertise, helping us make choices that not only elevated the aesthetic but improved functionality tenfold for us.
A mini-reno for our kitchen included new quartz countertops, backsplash, sink and faucet and an unused room now brought to life!
If you're looking for a company that delivers quality, professionalism, and creative vision, Ferris is it. Thank you for helping us turn forgotten square footage into something truly special.
We had the windows replaced in our 73 year old home. The crew led by Kevin and Chris were efficient and quick. The house was only open for a day and the outside finishing work was done on subsequent days. The outcome was beautiful.
A Trex deck that was installed in mid 2016 started to feel springy in a couple of places about two years ago. I put a couple of screws in to firm it up a bit but this year a contractor who came to do some other work pointed out that the deck was getting loose over an extended area and I should call the installer.
Vince came from Ferris and found that things were even worse than I thought. The deck was built on a slope with one side at ground level. It seems that the underpinnings of the deck, even though ground contact material, had started to rot. It seems to me that the rot worked its way through the heart wood of the PT lumber.
The good news is that Ferris honored their warranty and the deck was rebuilt and looks very good. The original installation had the deck boards almost in contact with each other which may have restricted air circulation and made it difficult to clean debris between them. The installation crew removed one board and used the spacer to replace the decking. It looks excellent and seems as solid as it could be. Vince excavated the area of ground contact and filled it with stone. I have installed a length of landscape timber to keep dirt from the edge of the deck.
The only complaint is that the subcontractors, who otherwise did an excellent job, left a big pile of old lumber on our back lawn during the reconstruction and over the weekend after they had finished. I restacked it as well as I could to mitigate the effect on the grass and I wish they had removed it as they went or at least moved it to the side of the driveway. I called Ferris on the Monday but Vince and Charlie were working out of the area. They came as soon as they could on Wednesday removing the mound of rubbish and raking what was left of the grass. I wish to thank them for that as well as for supervising the rebuilding job. The patch will need to be reseeded.
