Stood outside looking to purchase a 2024 Hyundai Elantra Limited, no one came out. Walked around and looked at some other cars to compare for about 30 minutes, no one outside looking at cars, no salesman, nothing so I went inside to get the keys to unlock the car and check out the inside, surprise someone actually acknowledged me and I asked for the keys, sub turned around to go get them and he had a straight knife attached to his belt in his backside, open view for everyone to admire. The sub said they were short staffed, one male working with 2 young men and other workers setting at their desk/tables, sub got the key and I asked if I could go out by myself and look at it (no one cared to great me inside or out so why would I need someone to go with me now) and sub said they don't just hand out keys and he just started walking outside, didn't ask any questions or name,, not really interested. Got to the car and he said he was going to open it up since it was 2 p.m. in the afternoon, of course it's hot outside, if he was interested in cooling off the car why not start it while we were walking to it to show me the start from remote feature, or again talk with me since I was there to look at 2 cars to make my decision but the other one from their website was in Jonesboro, that's how they show cars. I did get in the car after he gave me the keys so I could start it up, again sub was more interested in making sure everyone saw the knife he was carrying than talking with me since he made sure to walk ahead of me. Sorry I wasted this man's time and he had to go outside in the heat but I sat down in the car and will be driving to another Hyundai dealer to purchase a car, when people take their time to come to your place of business to spend money and you treat them that way not sure how you expect to sell cars.

Totaled my truck and Cavenaugh Hyundai put me into a beautiful new car hassle free. I actually enjoyed the vehicle shopping experience. Ask for Karson. He’s great.

It'd be nice to be able to get ahold of someone on the phone here. Everytime I call I'm put on hold by someone who clearly doesn't care about their job. A few mins is one things. Waiting 15 mins is another. I'll go somewhere else for na oil change I guess.

Sean Green was so kind and respectful. He didn't have his own agenda to sell us something we didn't want. He was not pushy. The whole team was great.

Michael and Cody were outstanding. They helped us with a car a few years ago and I remember them being professional, thorough and fast. I came back and my second experience mirrored the first. I highly recommend Cavanaugh Hyundai.

Absolutely the best car-buying experience I've ever had, and I've had quite a few! Jim Adair was terrific, professional, and extremely thorough explaining the nuances of my new vehicle! I got the exact car that I wanted, but the dealership is really what sold me.

Had a wonderful experience when purchasing a new vehicle here! Everyone we encountered was great & our salesman, Sean Green, was the absolute best! He was kind, proactive and made the entire process quick, easy & stress free. He got us an incredible deal. Cody in financing was also great! The whole family is in love with our new 2025 Santa Fe

My bride was back in the market for an SUV with "more space". She pointed out the Hyundai Palisade as a potential candidate, and we got on the website of our local dealer to see what might be available to "touch". Three possibilities appeared on the website, but we wanted to confirm they were still available.

Michael Collier, sales manager, answered the main phone while the receptionist was away during our initial contact. He confirmed the inventory and invited us to visit the lot in person. When we arrived at the dealership later that day, he had the vehicle we were interested in waiting in front for us to test drive. The ride, cabin comfort, noise level, engine response and accessories were all positive impacts.

While we were gone, Michael inspected our car and provided a fair trade-in value. We then worked up the total out-of-pocket cash for the deal.

We returned the next day to complete the purchase only to learn the vehicle we'd selected had been sold that morning. Michael took the initiative to locate another unit with similar accessories, that we actually liked better, in another city. We made the deal with a handshake and deposit, and the car arrived in 2 days. We're still learning about the new car, and continue to be impressed by the ride and features. Michael was with us from beginning to end, and made the entire transaction seamless and comfortable!

Kory Watson and Cody Parish were beyond fantastic in helping my wife and me find the perfect Hyundai vehicles. As a typical guy, I searched the internet for the buy of a lifetime only to find it here at Cavanaugh Hyundai with Kory and Cody. Thank you. We love Hyundai!

UPDATE: DO NOT BUY A HYUNDAI, tech is great, options and features are awesome, especially for the price, but now I know why. We had issues with the transmission at 1200 miles. Called the dealership they said pretty much needs a new transmission, Hyundai wouldn't approve it. One of the worse customer service I had to deal with. They don't care about their customers and they don't stand by their products, what's the point of having a 10 year 100,000 miles warranty when they won't even take care of a vehicle that has 1200 mile on it and it's 3 months old. NEVER buy a Hyundai, KIA, or Genesis for that matter, they are the same company if you don't want the pain and financial loss I have experienced. I was going to take Hyundai to court for selling me a lemon, but honestly I didn't even want to look at it just sitting in our garage, and everytime I saw it just made me even more mad. We traded it for a Cadillac and ofcourse we were upside down but you can learn from my mistake.

I never thought I would own a Hyundai, I remember riding in my friend's Hyundai Excel in High School and it wasn't something I want it, I have owned many brands of cars, from luxury to more affordable brands but never a Hyundai, I got interested on the Santa Fe after I got it as a rental in one of my business trip, I had it for a week and was so impressed I sent pictures to my wife and when I got back from my trip the wife and I went to check it out, my wife like it so much that we ended up trading in her 2023 Ford Expedition King Ranch Max for a Santa Fe Caligraphy. We went to a dealership near us and everything went well, our sales person was great and very nice, but at the negotiations the managers got involved and the deal went south. It got so bad we walked out and we pretty much gave up on it until we called Cavenaugh Hyundai in Hot Springs, we spoke to a very nice young man that we made an appointment with and then we met "The Dude" needless to say he was an AWESOME Dude, he got us what we were asking for the trade and got the price we were asking for the Santa Fe. Now my wife has the car she loves and you know what they say, happy wife, happy life. Thank you Cavenaugh Hyundai and thank you "The Dude" I highly recommend them. And if you are looking for a new car, give Hyundai try. I think they are the new Toyota when their were at the top of their game.

There are some crappy Hyundai dealers out there, but not this one. I sent my daughter and her mother to take it in for a 30k oil change. The car is only a year old. I was waiting to be greeted with 2k in fluid washes and other not necessary to do items. This was my test for this place. They did not try push meaningless services even the manufacturer to recommend. Just said the air filters which I agree with after looking at them after she got home.

You can bring your car here and trust the people at this shop. I'm really happy they passed my test with flying colors because I did not want to go to the place in LR which has a rep.

Please stay awesome and honest - it was a real treat and I'll be back next week for the filters. The least I can do if you're honest is keep my business with y'all.

PLEASE READ THIS IS URGENT We have been bringing our Hyundai to This dealership in Hot springs now for awhile and at first we totally loved it an there service department was great. However since they did a Remodel and since they no longer have the same woman running the service department this place has become very unreliable and very unorganized and unprofessional. I dropped my Wife's Car off there and was dealing with Tyler he told me it was going to be 2300 dollars in repairs I said it was fine and told them to go ahead an do the job. He stated they where gonna order the parts an they would be there within a week and the car would be done with in 10 days or so. I explained to him my wife needs her car for work and it can not be anyl9nger thwn that he assured me it would not be. After a month now of no calls from them saying car was ready I called there an was told Tyler no longer worked there and they had no idea about our car and to hold on while they checked on it. After 10 mins on hold the reception lady came on the phone and said sorry that the car is not ready and it would be another 2 weeks or more. I informed the woman that it was unexceptable and that my wife needs her car for work. The woman that stated sorry I don't know what to tell you and hung up. Maybe I need to go ahead an put my attorneys foot up there asses at this point an 5hreathen them with a lawsuit for lose of wages that my wife is losing and if sh3 loses her job they can pay her salary for the year which is around 93k. So I hope they enjoy the paperwork an call they are gonna receive and get from our attorneys. However I would not recommend them at all now in anyway for service sales or anything else as they are not trust worthy when it comes to what they tell you they are gonna do an when they say they are gonna complete something on time. An the rudeness of the staff and for the service manager to not know anything about our vehicle an they needed to check on it.. totally unorganized. I would of given them zero stars if I could have. Enjoy hearing from our attorneys at this point..

Update 10/16/2024

So 11 days ago hyundai called said that they where magically gonna give us a loaner car which mind you they knew we had been paying for a rental for weeks all of a sudden they offer us a loaner. 2 days before that my wife gets a random text from hyundai asking to trade her car in. Move forward to today car is finished we go to pick vehicle up we pay 2,330.69 go outside to car an it won't start as we are waiting on tech to come out I notice bad damage to the hood of my Wife's Car that was not there when she dropped it off the service manager Corey comes out say I am a liar and damage was there when it came in I told him then it happen while it sat on there lot for weeks waiting to be worked on again he calls me a liar needless to say things got very heated and I lost my mind and now pictures where taken before we left dealer and we have spike to our attorneys and our filing a lawsuit now at this time against Cavaughn Hyundai And Corey personally as he is ultimately in charge on making sure damage does not happen to vehicles there and for the damage done. Please be very hesitant to do business with them they are liars and cons.

Mother in law bought a car. Was told that it was checked out and a good car. Come to find out, it had never been checked out at all. We found this out then she noticed an oil leak very shortly after she bought it. They told her that there was nothing wrong with it. The oil was from where someone spilled the oil adding more (which that did happened from her boyfriend). Yet, why was it low?
Leak continued. She took it back in and they said she needed to change the valve cover gasket and convinced her that she needed new headlights. $800 later she gets her car back. A few days later she still notices oil leaks. She calls to make an appointment.
They tell her it's going to cost her $1,400 to fix the oil leak. She can't afford this. We are looking for some sort of resolution.
I just got off of the phone with Cody the GM and supposedly going to have an answer next week. I will give an update if/when I hear back. If a good resolution is found I will adjust my rating and Update my review.
Until then!

We bought a brand new Santa Cruz and came all the way from Tyler, TX. I can't say enough good things about this dealership. There was no pressure to buy. Everyone was very friendly. The F&I was super easy with no pressure of upsells. Price was very good!

Beware! The following are our personal experiences with Cavenaugh Hyundai. My husband purchased a new 2010 Genesis from this dealership. He has meticulously scheduled service on this vehicle with Cavenaugh. At present, it has 101,000 miles. We also own a 2017 Veloster which has also been serviced regularly. My husband is 78 and I am 72. We have had three negative events with this dealership. The first was on the interstate outside St. Louis, where we had a blowout in the Genesis. The car had just been serviced. The tire store told us the tire sidewalls were failing. No one at Cavenaugh had mentioned that we had a tire problem. Next, we were left stranded at midnight on the Little Rock highway with a dead battery. Again, the Veloster had just been serviced. No mention from Cavenaugh of a potential battery problem. We do no believe the maintenace inspection was completed on either car!! The final and worst event is as follows: The engine light came on in the Genesis. My husband called the dealership and they said he should drive it to them and not tow it. $1100 in repairs were made. When he returned to pick up the car, the engine light was still on. He was told it was just a simple gasket leak and it was safe to drive until the gasket came in. When returning the car, for the gasket repair, it threw a rod and destroyed the engine. Towed to dealer. Of course they said it was not their fault. WHAT AN AMAZING COINCIDENCE!! The day after they worked on it, the engine blew. Cavenaugh said they would replace the engine for $9000! I don't think so. Enter this dealer at your own peril!!

A+ people and 5 star service. Mike made our car buying experience easy. We experienced no high pressure or gimmicks like at some of the other dealerships. He worked hard to help us get what we were looking for. Check them out for a great deal and stress free purchase!

One would think that since this is a big Hyundai dealership that integrity and honesty would not be something of concern with this business. At my last two oil changes I was told that my rear brake pads were down to less than a millimeter each and they offered to change them for over $300. My brakes were not even squeaking so I thought it was strange. I ended up buying rear brake pads from AutoZone for under $40 and my husband took care of changing them in our driveway. He showed me that both rear brake pads still had 1/4 of an inch each so they didn't even need to be changed yet! Additionally, at my last oil change I asked Cavanaugh to refill my windshield wiper fluid and top off any other fluids needed. I was told at checkout that the fluids were topped off. Less than 2 weeks after the appointment both my radiator fluid light and windshield fluid lights came on. Again, I went to AutoZone and bought the fluids and topped them off myself. Both bottles were empty after I filled things up so once again Cavanaugh was proven to lack integrity for a quick buck. I also didn't appreciate the oil residue on my steering wheel after I got my car back at the last oil change appointment. They don't wipe down or even vacuum. I remember when Hyundai dealerships offered that plus a free car wash with oil changes. They charge almost $80 for an oil change so I don't get how a quick vacuum and wipe down or complimentary car wash aren't offered anymore. Corporate businesses have definitely gone down hill in the customer service department in recent years. Cavanaugh also doesn't offer a military discount when most other vehicle service garages in the area do. I won't be servicing my car here anymore. I value integrity and unfortunately they failed me twice.

I recently purchased a car from the Cavenaugh dealership and had a great experience. The entire place was clean. Our salesman, Eric, was very helpful throughout the entire process. He was patient, answered all of our questions and made sure we were fully informed. Eric took the time to show us all of the features of our new car. At no point did we feel pressured or like we were being mislead. The entire process was enjoyable. I definitely recommend the Cavenaugh dealership to anyone in the market for a new car.

Outstanding Dealership. My 2017 Veloster is close to 100,000 miles. I feel very comfortable about the condition of my vehicle. Service advisors and Master Technicians both have given me a quality health report on my car.

Facility was spotlessly clean. Called after running diagnostic tests.
Car was repaired same day.

Took my car, the one I bought from them, this morning for an oil change. Was told needed to make appt. No big deal. I made an appointment. I asked if they could put air in my tires because they were low, tire light on. They didn’t have time to take a minute or two to put air in my tires, said it would be a while. I just think this was pathetic service. I took it to Walmart and it took them less than a minute to put air in my tires. Seems like such a small, trivial thing, but it’s enough to make me drive to Little Rock for future service. It’s also the 2nd car I’ve bought from them. I won’t be buying another car from them either.

We have not had a single good experience with this location but this recent one takes the cake. After 1.5 weeks we can’t get anyone to take a picture to send the insurance adjuster for our claim on car damage. (One person went as far as telling me it was sent) Finally got to the bottom and it was never even taken. We keep being told tomorrow, well now we are losing rental car and still can’t get them to send the pic from the service department. If the service manager is not capable of snapping the picture and sending the email he might not be qualified to have a manager job. We had quit using this location for all services because it is always awful but I was afraid to drive the car so took it to the nearest Hyundai, Lesson learned. As soon as I can get ahold of insurance company it will be moved. Unfortunately I am going to be out $ for a rental but that doesn’t affect Hyundai so o well. Save yourself the headache and just don’t bother.

It was towed there 16 hours after having a new engine put in at the Hyundai dealership in North Little Rock when the check engine light came on and stranded me and my two year old son on the side of the road with gas leaking out from under the hood. Had it towed to Cavanaugh. They could not find the problem. Had to email him the video i took for them to figure out the issue. Then told me i was responsible. Contacted Cooperate and they were able to approve the repair for me since it was not listed in the original work order and was not a problem until Hyundai got a hold of it. It took another month to get my car back. They did not call me to tell me it was even ready. When i came to pick it up. The man at the service desk did not say a word handed me two papers and a pen and made two (X) where i needed to sign and then pointed in the parking lot where my car was . I Will NEVER bring my car to be repaired at another Hyundai dealership again. I will never buy another Hyundai again. Worst decision i have ever made

Second time to buy from cavanaugh hyundai, retiring soon traded 2 vehicles in to downsize to one. Good trade in value on both vehicles, and Michael the sales person made it happen and helped
our family tremendously. If you need a good new or used car go see Michael at cavanaugh hyundai.

i would give 0 stars if i could. my family went to go look at a new car, we pulled up to the lot, got out, looked at the car we wanted, had a sales rep walk right past us with no comment. not even a “how are y’all today? i’ll be right with y’all.” we proceeded to walk inside, we got stared at by the front desk worker, they were no help. we had someone come up to us to ask what vehicle were looking at, they couldn’t tell us any info on the vehicle. i appreciate them for being honest of knowing nothing abt the vehicle but they didn’t try to get someone to help. they told us that they would go back & find a sales rep., never found one. we loaded up & went to another dealership.

Dealing with this dealership is a nightmare. They keep your car when you go in for warranty work. Will not answer the phone when you call. My 2015 sonata is losing oil. I have had my car in the shop so many times. They refuse to fix the oil situation and tell me “it’s not a leak your losing oil?” Ok, fix it? A solution? Why am I putting a quart if oil in weekly? This time it’s been over a week and still nothing done and I am paying rentals to go to work. Each time it’s a week they keep my car. I have spoke to the service manager Cory several times. Zero
Help. No way would I recommend this dealership to anyone. They are very unprofessional and lack customer service skills. They have yet to fix my car and give me half minded excuses. If you keep a car for over a week you would think common courtesy would be reaching out to the customer so they can stay informed about the automobile. If your this booked up the problem your product sucks.

We had a very positive experience buying my Tucson Hybrid. Michael Collier is a very experienced, knowledgeable sales rep and was nothing but helpful throughout the entire process. DO NOT buy. In the past 6 months, I have brought my vehicle in for the same issues 5 times this far!!! Failed check engine light, car not wanting to start, and excessive oil burning (knocking) as well. Two weeks ago, they said it was my spark plugs and charged my 600 dollars to replace when a local automotive charged 185 for the same services. Currently, my car has been in the shop for over a week, same issues with no updates. Is recommend Hyundai in Little Rock, but if you investigate they have several class action lawsuits and failure to hold warranty claims. I have contacted the manufacturer to report. Next steps are the owner of the store in hot springs, owner of the entire Hyuandai, and contacting 7 on your side. Please don’t buy or go to this place.

Be very careful of dealing with these people. Read between the lines. They will cheat you on your oil changes. We were led to believe we would have free oil changes up to 37000 miles. Today we took our car in and just under 37000 and they charged us saying we were only allowed 4 oil changes. It says that where?? Nowhere. These people will lie to you to get a sale. Beware.

This is my 2nd vehicle I've bought from Cavanaugh Hyundai in Hot Springs. Great sales team, service dept and they were very helpful in figuring out the best vehicle and price for my needs. I told them what I needed and why I needed it and they helped me land a deal on my new 2023 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid..

May 1, 2023

My Hyundai Sonata was towed on a Friday evening. I called to verify that the service department actually was aware that it was there on the following Monday at 8 AM.. I stopped by the same afternoon to check and was told that they hadn’t gotten to it and it would be Tuesday or Wednesday before they could look at it and they would call me. Tuesday, I received a call stating that belts and water pump would need replacing at $1,517. They would order parts and it would be a couple of days. Friday morning I called as I had had no contact from them and the service department said they were working on it and it would be ready that afternoon. My husband and I went that evening at 4:45. The same manager asked what my vehicle was there for and said, it’s not ready, it’ll be Monday or Tuesday. I have never had a dealership with these issues. Tomorrow will be one week that they have had my vehicle and who knows when I wil get it. The person handling the service department was not very professional. I should’ve been kept informed by phone that my vehicle would not be ready and we traveled a great distance and I think Cavanaugh should really look at who they have representing their service department. Is that who you want representing your company with all of the Capital being put into renovations. I will purchase another Hyundai, but I assure you it will be in Little Rock and sadly, not Cavanaugh.

Initially, my family and I drove from North Little Rock, AR to Cavenaugh Hyundai in Hot Springs because they had stock of the vehicle I was interested in and I wanted to test drive it. We were well taken care of as soon as we stepped on the lot by Mr. Eric Berkey. The test drive resulted in a sale. I have been enjoying my new Kona for a little over a week. I hope that our relationship continues to go well. I would recommend this dealership to family & friends.

We got in accident in which we had gap through Cavanaugh. The gap claim has been held up for over a month due to one document that the dealer needs to send. No one will answer or return calls to gap company. Totally unacceptable.update tried calling 2 days in a row to schedule service on car and no one answers phone or hangs up on you after 10 min of silence.
