I contacted Black Bruin Mechanical after contacting 2 separate Duct Work companies, as I had a problem in that my dryer was not drying my clothes. Trevor came by and thoroughly checked the ducts for the dryer, he made sure that there was not a build up of lint. He went into the attic and then went on the roof and finally found the root cause of the problem. He provided a temporary fix and indicated the next steps I have to do to rectify this situation - essentially the dryer was connected to the incorrect type of vent. Trevor is a very sincere, honest professional. His knowledge and expertise enable him to assess your problem and diagnose the cause correctly. I highly recommend him for any of your HVAC needs.

In an industry inundated with conmen and sleazy salespeople, Trevor is a refreshing, knowledgeable HUMAN who actually cares about the job and what needs to be done. The only HVAC professional I’ve ever had at my home that hasn’t tried to convince me that doomsday was coming and I needed to spend thousands to avoid it.

Trevor gave me actionable steps to improve my issue and offered a variety of solutions, many of which didn’t involve him making any money. Hands down will use him for any future projects or services — his reputation and overall professionalism are hard to find.

Trevor with Black Bruin Mechanical is honest and very skilled at his craft. He added some additional ducts and vents to a section of my basement that needed it. He also installed a single zone Mitsubishi HyperHeat mini-split system to supplement the gas furnace. We decided to do this because the current duct layout for the already-finished basement was not adequate. The 2 ton ductless mini-split system puts out a lot of heat and warms a large area in a very short period of time.

Trevor does everything by the books in terms of design, installation, and permitting. If you have any cooling/heating needs or problems then Trevor is your guy.

Trevor went above and beyond to fix my boiler. He was responsive, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. He followed up several times to make sure everything was working through a complex repair.

Trevor came out on a cold, snowy day and went above and beyond to find out what was wrong with our furnace. We've been told by two other companies that we needed to replace the furnace. I called Black Bruin and Trevor to come out and diagnose/fix a newer hot water heater for us on Halloween night after it would fire but not stay lit. He took the time to answer my questions and texts and set up a time for the following morning which was huge for us. He showed up on time, quickly peeked over the hot water heater and found a trip button I was unaware of had popped. He explained what it was, how it worked, what conditions would set it off, fixed it, fired up the system, checked its function, fixed a quick exhaust screw and said have a great day and tried to leave without charging us because it was such a small fix.

Absolutely a class act, incredibly nice guy, will use him for all of our mechanical needs.

Black Bruin Mechanical replaced my AC system a couple of years ago. I have not had a single issue with the system since. Trevor is extremely knowledgeable and his customer service is second to none! I don't know much about HVAC and Trevor broke everything down for me so that I could understand everything he was doing. I wish that every company would take a page from Black Bruin Mechanical's book when it comes to knowledge, customer service and quality of work. When Trevor was out performing the install, the weather got nasty and Trevor put on his big boy pants and braved the freezing sleet and wind to complete the project and did not complain once. I will highly recommend Black Bruin Mechanical to anyone. If you want your project completed in a timely manner, done professionally and don't want to be treated like "just another customer" then call Black Bruin Mechanical.

Cannot say enough great things about this company. Had a gas leak from the hotwater heater in my house. Contacted Trevor and he immediately made arrangements to come out after hours around 7:30pm.
