We had A-1 Roofing replace the roof on our townhouse. Graden and Shane were great to work with, and addressed all of the questions and concerns that come along with replacing a portion of a shared roof. Their quote was fair and similar to other bids despite them using higher quality plywood rather than OSB as many other companies quoted. Where they went above and beyond was addressing issues caused by a poor installation by a neighbor's crew. Graden came out multiple times to confirm the poorly installed roof was water-tight, replaced the areas where the poor install occurred, and even took care of some cosmetic issues caused by the poor install. I'd highly recommend this crew and have already done so with several of my neighbors.

Their rep showed up on time but spent a total of 5 minutes standing on a ladder inspecting one small area of my roof. Came down and rambled on a bit about what the problem may be but needed to get their "expert" to check it. Two weeks later and no response. I have called A-1 and told them they will not get my business and why.

I recently bought a home the Olympia area and badly needed a new roof. Had no previous experience with roofers in the area. Chose A-1 on a hunch and a recommendation --and WOW I'm glad I did. George and his crew worked me into their schedule earlier than first promised. They encountered a few curveballs due to the roof's age and deferred maintenance but adapted and handled the issues professionally and with a great attitude. The outcome was stunning and the price was more than fair. I cannot overstate the value of experience and longevity on the crew itself. These guys are skilled long-timers. They worked well together, demonstrated incredible precision and efficiency, and went the extra mile to bring the job from "very good" to "excellent". Like most people, I don't buy a new roof very often, so I know it helps to have recommendations from personal experience. If you're in the market for a new roof or roof repair, make A-1 one of your quotes and give them a serious look. If I move again or buy an investment property that needs a roof, I'm absolutely going to hire them again.

A1 Roofing did a fantastic job on our shop roof. We were so pleased with their quick response and turnaround on getting our roof replaced. We were amazed at their effectiveness and professionalism.

These guys were great! Very professional, they installed a new roof on my garage. It was rotting on all four edges, they tore it off and built new fascia and eaves all around. It looks great! All done in one day. The clean up afterwards was very thorough, even ran a magnet roller around to catch any nails. I was very happy with the job that was done. The cost was very fair and lower than the estimate I had from another company. Good job!!

Absolutely stellar service! When a wind storm downed tree limb took out my skylight, Dave from A-1 was able to come out right away to assess the damage. Their team was able to have the window replaced and an additional hole patched in the roof within a few hours. Will be using A-1 for roofing work for the future

Chris and the crew did an outstanding job in completely reroofing my manufactured home. They removed the old roofing materials and installed new TPO with added vents and installed a wonderful solar tube that really adds nice light to a once dark kitchen. I'm grateful for the professionalism and the care they took. And they cleaned the property spic and span before leaving. Highly recommend.

Just completed a large job and could not be happier. Removed a concrete tile roof from the 1980's and replaced it with a more modern roofing system. We also replaced the fascia, repaired some rotten rafter ends, installed new gutters, replaced some siding with cedar lap to update the look, and replaced two skylights.

The price was very fair for the high quality of materials and work.
The team was respectful of the property, landscaping and neighborhood.
Communication was excellent throughout the process, with regular updates and check-ins by call, email and text.
I would confidently recommend A1 to family and friends.

These folks were great. Responsive, professional, and a good price. The roofers were badasses and reroofed our house and garage in one day. They laughed, joked, took care of business and did a great cleanup when they were done. Highly recommend these folks when you need a new roof!

Very happy with the entire process and result of the work that A-1 did. I was getting some serious interior leaks in my home a few weeks before Christmas. Shane came out promptly to do an assessment of the situation, and advised a full replacement of the roof (which pre-dated my decade-long ownership of the home). Then we hit several weeks of intense rain, holidays and snow. As soon as the weather conditions allowed for work, Shane had a team of 8 guys show up nice and early on a Saturday. They ended up having to replace 19 sheets of wet and degraded plywood. They worked till after dark, but managed to bust out the whole thing in one day. The crew was generally conscientious of moving things from around the home, and they did a really good cleanup afterwards. Highly recommend them.

I had a personal referral for this company and was very impressed from the first interaction with Shane and Leeta. I received a thorough quote and payment options to fit my situation for reroofing, gutter replacement and window replacement estimates. The work was performed promptly and thoroughly. The teams worked really well together and communicated. The clean up was fantastic! Overall, I am very satisfied with the entire process! Would highly recommend.

I worked with Shane to have my old roof torn down and replaced. From initial bid through the entire process he was friendly, professional, and up-front, and quickly responded to all my questions. When it was time for the installation, the crew worked surprisingly fast, did a beautiful job, and cleaned up the site like they had never been there. Shane will be my go-to for future house repairs moving forward.

Mike's team was A-1 all the way. A good crew that worked very well together and did a great job on our 2 roofs, all in one day. Their bid was competitive, their work looks great, and David and I highly recommend them. Never having had a roof replaced before, we were apprehensive picking a contractor. We're happy we picked A-1.

I am having the hardest time with this company. I have been calling for months, inspections with no follow up. I can’t get anyone to call me. I have been so polite and this company is trying to run out my warranty before confirming if these issues I am having are theirs. I will be reporting them to the Attorney General, BBB, and FTC. Really sad, as a new home owner I was looking forward to establishing a relationship with a local family owned business. There is no excite for their lack of actions and responsiveness.

Thanks Mike, you have helped restore our faith in hiring contractors. So often we have had to be breathing down their necks and babysitting them, making sure ots done correctly, not with you. We love our new roof and we will tell others of our great experience.

Wow just wow wow wow. I am speechless at the absolutely fabulous job that Mike and his team did for our house. I am crying happy tears because it is so much better and more than I ever thought itt could be. They were quick and clean. The yard looked better than it did before they got here. I recently used this company for a roof on new construction. I received a number of different quotes from different companies, and A-1 was very reasonable and competitive with their pricing. The entire process was smooth. They were very professional, detail oriented, and patient with me. They showed me different roof samples and gave me a lot of different options. It is amazing how much the roof can change the look of your home. I couldn't be happier with the work they did. On a side note, I have another property that had water damage from a recent storm. They were able to get out fast, identify the issue, and fix it. I highly recommend this company.

A-1 roofing did an incredible job replacing our roof. They came in and did a complete tear-down, replacing many of the destroyed/rotted old particle boards on the roof and put the new architectural shingles on, all by hand nailing! They had the job completely done in 1 day, and cleaned up very well afterwards! No nails left in our yard! Great job for a very reasonable price - we couldn't be happier! Thank you A-1!

As an East Oly boy, I’ve lived here my entire life and I have seen the different construction companies that have stood the test of time throughout this town. A1 roofing has been around since I was a kid, and I am 38 special as of 2020. From start to finish, A1 roofing did one heck of a job and really brought my house back to life. From the friendly staff inside the office to the personable and knowledgeable staff in the field, A1 roofing was great to work with and I felt at ease from the start. Shane showed up, we assessed the roof and came up with a battle plan. Not long after that, a crew of the hardest working fellas I’ve ever seen showed up early in the morning to get busy. They set up, tore off the existing roof, fixed multiple areas of damage to substrate and perimeter framing, and then reroofed 3000 ft.² all in one day. And then finished off by doing a stellar cleanup job. I also have Many plants and flowers around my entire home, and they were conscious about them and tried their hardest to avoid damaging them. I am very satisfied with the service they provided and would recommend A1 roofing to any friend or family member.

These guys put our new roof up in a day flat on one of the hottest days of the year and left our front patio cleaner than it was before they started! They had to move all the shingles by hand as well because our home isn't accessible from the road easily. They are one heck of a good crew. Thanks again A-1 Roofing!

Edit: 4 years down the line, we learned that one of our attic vent fans hadn't been reconnected after the roof was rebuilt. Called em up and Shane came out the next day after we learned of this. He had his crew come the next day to reconnect these vent fans for us free of charge! Seriously impressed with that level of customer service. A1 Roofing rules!

We were very pleased with our re-roof. The guys in the crew were super hard workers! We recommend A-1 Roofing!

I had a re-roof done on my house in October, from A1 Roofing. From the first contact regarding the quote to the finished roof, I had a very professional and honest experience. Shane and his crew did a great job. As the removal of the existing roof was taking place, it was found that some of the sheathing was compromised. I was called immediately and told of the issue and what was needed to be done to fix it. This did take the re-roof from a one day to a two day project. A1 Roofing employees are very good at what they do and I was very happy with the finished product. My roof is a little steeper than most and that did nothing to slow them down. After everything was buttoned up I noticed and an issue that needed to be addressed. I called Shane and he came out, looked at the issue and had an employee come out the very next day to get it fixed. There was also some debris left. Shane and another employee made quick work of that as well. Shane made it clear that he did not want to be paid for this job until everything was done, including the that final cleanup. I can rest easy, because of this roof and would gladly recommend A1 Roofing to all I know. They are professional and work hard to get the job done right.

In October of '18 we had a leak in our master bathroom, coming from the skylight - or so we thought. Mike Martini came out to provide an estimate. He was the 3rd contractor to provide an estimate and the ONLY one who identified the REAL problem - the vent beside the skylight was causing the leak and needed to be replaced. Had we gone with one of the other two contractors who came out to give us an estimate, our leak would not have been fixed.

So when the skylight in our great room leaked October of this year (yeah, weird, I know), I did not pass go or collect $200. I called and asked for Mike directly because he knows his stuff, gets the job done right, is communicative with me on scheduling, and the price is fair.

When we re-roof in 4 years, I'll be calling Mike again.

We were very happy with Mike & his crew. They did a great job and were even able to get it completed sooner than expected, which I really appreciated. Their clean up was amazing, not even the tiniest piece of paper or debris was left behind.

A1 Roofing has been cleaning our tile roof every year for over 7 years and do a fantastic job. Recently, a tile came loose and fell to the gound. Within a day after calling A1, the tile was replaced! Outstanding service!! Highly recommend!!

These guys impressed from the moment we talked on the phone. I got a great quote with great explanation. They were very polite and great to work with. The work went fast. They found some unknown damage and showed me what exactly happened and fixed it right up. They cleaned up the area when they were done and the house looks great. This roof will most likely outlive me. I would recommend them to anyone.

Shane and his crew are great to work with. They communicated throughout the whole process about what they were doing and when they would be done. Tore off and redid our whole roof in a day and a half, cleaned up all mess and left no trace of them even being here. The roof is beautiful and if I ever have to do it again I will definitely call them!

Absolutely terrible experience. I would not recommend these guys to anyone. Not only was my roof done almost 2 months after I was told but the reason for it being late was that mike shares a crew with the owner and the jobs that the owner bids have to get done first? Terrible business practice. Workers left hot sauce wrappers all over my driveway and broke the gutter off the side of my home. They tried to cover up the damage by using deck screws to put it back on. When I asked mike to replace the gutter (2 months ago now) he said he would send a guy out. Well here I am 2 months later with a dented and broken gutter dripping water. I’m not sure who does a good job roofing around here but it is not these guys.

Mike did an excellent job on our roof! We are super pleased. He was very professional, and proved trustworthy. It's scary buying a new roof b/c the cost involved is so much but rest assured Mike instilled confidence in us due to the great work the crew did and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing roof work done. Mike was great! Originally scheduled our roof to be done in December, but the company called early November with availability. The next day when I got home from work roof was completed! The gutters where done a couple days later. A1 roofing was a great choice.

I had two homes roofed by A1 seven years ago. I had gone up into the attic in March 2017 and noticed it was covered in mold. I contacted A1 and they came out and assessed the situation. They had installed "Ridge" vent but did not block the gable vents. My exhaust vents were also not connected so all the moisture from the showers had been collecting over the years. He told me they would replace the roof because of the mistake. The estimated time was summer(July) to ensure great weather to remove the roof. In September I contacted them since I have not had any contact since March. I was told the they would come out between Sep 14 - Sep 25. Again I have been neglected and we are a few days away from October.
They admitted fault, told me they would make it right and nothing has been done. Not great customer service!! I spent approximately $20,000 back in 2010!! Buyer beware!!
