Very helpful, had what I needed. Unfortunately their register was down so it was cash only but the guys gave me a price and had my stuff ready when I returned with cash. Note: register isn't usually down.

Very helpful and professional. Some people simply want to get paid and do the job, but some people actually want to help others. This is one of them.

I didn't wanna give them any stars. They give me an attitude beacuse I went there I asked about a quote that I had put in two months ago for I asked about it they had no idea where it was they spoke to my in a horrible way contacted management found out they person that gives quotes quit so management said they'd handle it so I need two more quotes still haven't got them.. quotes for 1,300 sqft roof 5,000 sqft roof and roof a building that needs repair and a wheel chair ramp that is over 5 ft long plus and can't get it and they are rude disrespectful and honestly don't think they know what they are doing

84 is okay but I was a couple hundred yards down below and helping my cousin get her side by side out of the sand it sucked

Poor customer service! Except for Jodie & Tyler, good folks. I, a women, walked in with a list & no one said hello when I entered building or offered help. I had to ASK for help the the poor kid, it was his 1st day. They have seen the last of me. It is a shame, too. In the past 5yrs, I've spent close to $40,000 there to rebuild my parent's home that was damaged by a water leak.

They might not have as much as Lowe's or Home Depot but they definitely help you more and I will definitely be going back to them at least the Elkview one

Prices were insane. They wanted to charge me 6.00 for 8' 2x4's and 15 bucks for a 8' 2x10. Ended up going to lows and buy them for 4 and 8 bucks each respective. Buyers be warned as they do not seem to kind to the small project guys. Ended up saving almost 75 bucks all said and done by driving into town. Too bad really we used to always buy from them when we were building houses in the past not sure what happened to their pricing.

On the upside the clerk was polite and helpful.

I have had it with 84 Lumber at Little Sandy, Elkview, WV. During the past 2 years I have built a 2700 sf house using 84 Lumber and have purchased many other supplies for projects around the house. The only reason I had used 84 Lumber has been because they were within a few miles from my house whereas Lowes is over 30 miles. On November 26, 2013 I went to 84 to purchase 2 X 4s and OSB to build some selves. When the employee rang up the sales he stated it was approx $93. I showed him my military ID card (retired active Army) and asked for the military discount. He performed a calculation and told me $91.33. A sign at the store entrance states a military discount of 10%. I mentioned his small discount and he stated that he was selling the 2x4s at almost cost. (Sure, retailers sale things at cost all the time and that is how they stay in business.) On numerous other purchases I have experienced the same, in that someone would say that the sale price was below market or give other excuses. I have never seen a military discount on my receipts. No matter whom I dealt with at this store, the routine on military discounts was the same, indicating to me that management has set the policy. So, 84 Lumber, I want you to know that I will be spending another $75000 on my house and I intend to drive to Lowes where they give me a 10% military discount, show this discount on my receipt and don’t feed me BS!!!!
