Wolverine Roofing

Hired Wolverine 2022 for full roof replacement including upgrades to slope flat portion, architectural shingles, new gutters. I paid in full, over $34,000, received a Certificate of Completion. After install, noticed a gap left in the roofline that allowed varmints into attic. Also reported that two windows broken during install and that the newly installed gutter on flat section was placed too high, causing drainage issues. Months of follow-up and threats of legal action to get the company to respond. Gutter on the flat/pitched portion of the roof was installed too high, Mr. Vaprezsan himself acknowledged and should be corrected. Only after further escalation and on-site assessment with another contractor, did they properly repair the gap and replace the windows. Initially performed a subpar patch job on the roofline, rectified after pushing hard and replaced the windows. However, the gutter issue was never addressed. Now the pitched flat roof section is leaking, damaging historic ceilings. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, Wolverine Roofing failed to respond until I filed a formal complaint with BBB. They responded by falsely claiming I didn’t pay, despite their own invoice for the roofing work stating my balance was $0. I did reserve payment for separate sub-contracted gutter work until the corrective actions promised by Mr. Vaprezsan were completed. This company has not upheld their workmanship warranty and failed to take accountability. Rather than addressing the leak and warranty claim, Wolverine Roofing has responded to my BBB complaint with an unfounded accusation and personal attack. This is disappointing and unacceptable. Looking into other reviews, I’ve found this kind of response pattern is not unique to me. I hoped to resolve this in good faith and expectation that Mr. Vaprezsan would honor his word and contractual agreements. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your roofing needs.

Wolverine negotiated in good faith. They were very honest. They did good work. They used quality materials. They rectified issues that arose, and issues always arise during any project. I recommend them.

After the hail storm that hammered Maumelle in January, I contacted John at Wolverine and he was here on that following Monday to inspect our roof, which he advised needed to be replaced. Our insurance company, Shelter, concurred, based on their own prompt, thorough inspection.

Yesterday our roof was replaced by Wolverine’s crew and when they left around 6pm John was here to do a walk-around and all I could do was stand back and admire the finished product. The team that did the work were focused, efficient, and professional in every aspect of the work. I work from home so I was able to watch (and hear) the entire process unfold. The only break the crew took was lunch.

Yes, it was messy. Yes, it was loud. It sounded like a bunch of tipsy reindeer trying to find Santa up there. But that’s the nature of the beast, as they say. And when the compressors and the nail guns became quiet and the footsteps subsided, the entire crew meticulously cleaned the entire property, to the point where workers were picking up stray nails by hand. Once the crew departed, the only evidence of the chaos that had ensued was a gorgeous new roof.

And that is why I’m giving Wolverine 5 stars. That, and because I can’t give them 6.

John is a good, trustworthy man! This is the second roof he's installed on our house and, he'll be the only one I'll contact for any future roofing needs!!!!

I first met with John (the owner) around July 2023 regarding a completely separate issue I was having with my roof. He came to my house and I immediately felt like he is honest; sincere; and definitely NOT conniving. He did not try to sell me on something I did not need on this visit.

Fast forward to January 2024 when a major hailstorm came through our neighborhood. Of course, John was my first and only call to inspect my roof for damage. Turns out, we had extensive damage which resulted in a full roof claim. John and his company guided me through the entire process and, again, never tried to upsell or make me feel like I'm being ripped off.

The roof was completed a few days ago and the crew he used was wonderful; fast; efficient; and cleaned up well. We have about 46 squares and the crew started around 6:30AM and completed around 8:00PM. They picked up nails and blew everything very well. The next day, John came to inspect as well.

John and Wolverine will always be my first call from now on for my home and business.

I recently had hail damage on my roof. Wolverine roofing came out and met with my adjuster and within a short period of time I had my claim filed and approved! The roof replacement happened right away and the guys doing the work did a fantastic job! The last roofing company I used I had a lot of problems with, and I just have to say that Wolverine roofing really stepped it up and did a great job for me. I highly recommend them.

My husband and I own four rental properties, as well as our personal home. Wolverine Roofing has taken care of us throughout the years replacing the roof on our personal home and four roofs on our rental properties. We highly recommend Wolverine Roofing, because they are more than competent, very professional, and never disappoint.

They did an amazing roofing job. They were on time and explained everything efficiently. I also didn’t have to pay arm and a leg to get it done.

Don’t use this business. They will tailgate and speed through your neighborhood endangering children, pets, and pedestrians. Complete disrespect and disregard for speed limit and safe driving are unacceptable.

This occurred Friday morning on my return trip from dropping kids at school. Travelling Westbound on Cantrell Road, I was tailgated by a dark (blue or green) Chevrolet with Wolverine Roofing window graphics. The driver tailgated me after going through the University intersection and when I didn't go above the speed limit they continued to follow too closely. Once traffic cleared on the right hand side, they passed me aggressively on the right and continued speeding down Cantrell.

Nice guys but….. I have waited almost two months past the completion of our roofing job before writing a review. Two months and 10+ inches of rain and I am still cleaning up debris washing off the roof. Since this is not our 1st rodeo or even 2nd or 3rd, I can say, with confidence, we have never experienced this amount of ongoing roofing debris. Gravel, nails, plastic roofing nail disks, large pieces of torn up roofing tiles and fabric, smaller pieces of tiles & fabric, and endless cellophane. My goodness, the cellophane. I appreciate and expect a certain amount of debris post roofing, but this level is not what I consider acceptable. Be prepared to be cleaning up debris for months. Just an FYI. We purchased a magnet nail sweeper and our initial post roofing company cleanup using it netted us a couple of dozen nails in and around the driveway and patio. Every time it rains I am out picking up nails and debris. That said, my roof looks good, they did the job to local code, & I have no leaks.

9/24 update. Two years on and I am still picking up debris - including roofing nails - every single time it rains. Clean up is a big part of roofing. This crew gets -10 for that. Just retrieved a 4” x 3” piece of old roofing fabric from my backyard before the dog to get to it. Seriously, he talked a good talk but I am one dissatisfied customer.

Highly recommend Wolverine roofing company! I called three different companies for inspections & estimates. John happened to be the first to respond. He gave me his honest opinion on the damage of my roof, and what steps to take next. He even offered to be at my home when the insurance adjuster came, even if I didn’t choose his company. This spoke volumes to me! He is truly passionate about what he does. His detailed, timely, communication, and his reasonable estimate is ultimately what led me to choose Wolverine. Once approved by the insurance company they were able to get me on their schedule very quickly. The removed and replaced the roof, and cleaned up nicely. I could not be happier with the service they provided. I have no complaints whatsoever. John, and his wife, are lovely to do business with. Ten out of ten!

Reached out to Wolverine roofing after our neighbor had their roof due to hail damage. They completed and inspection and suggested I reach out to my insurance company as the inspection revealed damage.
They worked with the insurance company and us to get the replacement scheduled and then commence with the job.
When I had questions John the owner took the the time to address our concerns.
The job was completed when they said it would be. Turned out very good.
They only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars was the way they didn’t protect our landscape after discussing this prior. I realize replacing a roof is difficult from a demolition perspective but this scope was not handled properly. They did offer to compensate us got the damage which was appreciated. All said, I would definitely use Wolverine in the future and do recommend them.

The men were on time and they cleaned everything up beautifully before leaving. It was very late, but all was done and neat and tidy.

This company is amazing!!! I had my roof replaced in 2019 from another company which did not make good on their warranty, and faulty workmanship so I called John at Wolverine and he not only repaired the damage the proper way but delivered additional materials needed on a Saturday to make sure I was in the dry before the rain came. He assisted the siding company, to ensure the problem was fixed this time. I can’t say enough about how professional this owner and company operates. I highly recommend WOLVERINE ROOFING. Life is good once again after the other company left my chimney with a tarp on it for two months and never called or followed up….. please choose Wolverine Roofing because Regal Roofing can’t hold a candle to this companies experience and workmanship. From first contact they are the most honest and courteous men to have the pleasure of working with. The details of the inspections, insurance adjusters functions and tendency were extremely accurate but more than that they each MADE the time no matter to be present when the insurance adjusters came out to serve as a representative on my behalf. The professional tact and guidance was very helpful Thru the entire claims process. Their understanding and patience with insurance company payment process is truly remarkable especially for this day and edge with so many bad business experiences.
