First appointment an hour and a half late. Next day appointment set by him (the owner) no show and never responded to my call. When finally speaking with owner his response was my crew doesn’t check in with him until 7 pm. Granted weather is turning bad but a phone call goes a long way when someone cancels plans for the day to meet with him on a time he set.

We purchased a fixer upper with a roof leak in numerous spots. I googled and tried calling a few roofers but when I called Windstar Mike answered on the first call, very quick and proficient a free estimate was scheduled! He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and gave us the best quote out of FOUR different companies. We scheduled and the crew arrived literally 3 days later and had our roof almost 100% complete in one day. They returned the next day to button up and clean the yard. A few weeks later we had the gutters installed and the facia got damaged, we called Mike and they came out that week to fix the damage that they didn't even do!! We didn't have to pay a dime until we were satisfied with the service and let me tell you, they went above and beyond. We highly recommend them!

I work in the home improvement industry. I luckily have never even condisdered doing bussiness with these people but have family and friends who have. The way they do bussiness is completely unprofessional. I would go in to detail but I am afraid to give specifics because I truly believe they are so unproffesional that if they knew who I was talking about they would retaliate against them in some way. Not to mention, the responses from the owner (or whoever writes the responses) has AWFUL grammar and when they have a negative review they do nothing but deflect with a terrible attitude, making them look even MORE UNPROFFESIONAL. I would recomend considering ANY OTHER local company before considering Windstar! I dont even understand how they have an over all 4.6 rating. Probably paying people to give good ratings to compensate for all of the bad ones! Thanks for listening to my ted talk!

If you're researching this company for work on your home, I encourage you to consider the long-term quality and professionalism of their service. Years after our gutter installation, we've now had to consult with a specialist due to persistent drainage issues—made worse by the recent 2025 storms.

What we assumed was a typical gutter backup turned out to be a much bigger problem. Despite removing a nearby tree years ago to prevent clogging, water continued pooling in front of our home. A specialist has since confirmed the gutter was improperly pitched, causing water to backflow instead of draining to the corner as it should. Additionally, essential hardware was never installed, as evidenced by the absence of mounting holes (photo included in this review).

It’s important to note that the gutters were installed personally by Michael—not his subcontractors, who only handled our roof repair.

I had left a review years ago regarding the unprofessional conduct and dismissive attitude I experienced during the original job. Initially, the company claimed I was never a customer, only to revise their response after I provided photographic proof and storms from about a year ago. While their tone shifted to appear more courteous—likely due to the influx of storm-related service calls—the lack of accountability and quality remains a concern.

Please do your research thoroughly. Professionalism and integrity matter, especially when you're trusting someone with the protection of your home.

These guys are the real deal. They were attentive to our needs, and have lots of options for your new roof. Their team is very fast, and their prices were reasonable. My family and I highly recommend.

I am very pleased with Windstar Roofing. The owner commented well with me, was very nice about everything, answered all my questions, wasnt pushy about me choosing them over someone else. The pricing was affordable. He texted and updated me along the way of when they could come. The workers he has is amazing, they showed up when he said they would, they were very polite, They got the job done in a timely manner and it looked amazing. They cleaned up everything nicely. Unfortunately I am unable to provide any ratings on the quality of work, but the customer service was lacking during my experience. I reached out on 21 February to get a rough quote and date to replace a pipe boot that failed or my roof. I was given a fair quote, and informed what situations may cause the price to increase for the repair. I was thrilled this was discussed prior, and would not be a surprise after the repair. After agreeing I was told someone would be able to come out on 24th or the 25th to complete the repair. On the 25th after work, I contacted Windstar Roofing because I did not receive a call about my repair. I was told that they were working on installs and were unable to make it out. This is completely understandable, however It would have been nice to have been contacted and informed of the delay. I was then told they would be able to come out on the 26th or 27th to complete the repair. The 26th and 27th have come and gone and I was never contacted to reschedule a repair date. I chose Windstar due to their 5 star reviews. I am sure they do excellent work which I am unable to rate, but from my experience their customer service communication wise was lacking.

The roof looks great, great color, they were fast and clean up was done well. But my sunroom still leaks. Now they have to tear up the work they did on sunroom to put down a “low pitch membrane” something they should have caught prior to doing the roof. They didn’t charge us full price which we are thankful for, we came to an agreement but still waiting to get it done.

Working with windstar Roofing was a great experience. Mike really made the process so easy. The communication was excellent. The crew that replaced my roof was very professional. The roof is beautiful and they removed all materials from my property. Everything went so smoothly right up through their final inspection. I highly recommend. My parents needed their roof repaired and setup an appointment with them. The day came and no one showed up and no courtesy call. My Dad tried calling multiple times, Couldn’t leave a voicemail as there mailbox was full.
Never heard back from them. Do not recommend this company, Their Communication skills are horrible and apparently can’t keep their appointment promises.

I have an active leak in my roof. Scheduled for an inspection/estimate days out because of their availability. Welp my scheduled window has now passed. I have not heard a single word in regards to a delay or being late. I try to call and the voicemail is full. A full voicemail? Seriously?

Mike Beard and his team were very thorough and knowledgeable in helping me deal with my insurance carrier to get enough supplement for a total roof replacement. This was a long process that took over 3 months with the insurance company. I was able to get a full roof replacement in August and Windstar Roofing did a great job. Mike Beard provided insight on key questions to ask my insurance carrier about my policy.
