Removal and reinstallation of solar pool heating roof panels plus replacement of propane spa heater. All went pretty well to plan carried out by very professional and personable individuals, minor issues cropped up but these were sorted straight away. Will be happy to use Waynes Solar again.

Wayne's Solar showed up when they said they would, performed the install of both the pool solar and the salt system professionally and assured that all was operating correctly before leaving. They kept the work site clean, removed all trash and packaging and left our home looking like nothing was disturbed or different. There were no surprises or issues that need to be resolved.

So far so good....the solar pool heater has only been in a few weeks. It's doing well.

I recently decided to install a heat pump to supplement my solar panels and I'm so glad I reached out to this company for a quote. Skip was the sales rep, very responsive and on time for quote. Took the time to explain the various options I had and did not pressure me at all to make quick decision. Once I decided on the unit we set up installation 2 weeks out, which was fine. Adam led the install team and did a great job of making sure the concrete pad was level and did not leave any mess behind. He also made sure my current solar was working to best of its ability, which it had not been. I've had few questions since install and Skip always responds within a day. I would definitely recommend them and if/when I need to update my existing solar panels I will certainly be calling them.

very well equipped operation. arrived on time. removed old sytem from property. they were originally consulted to reinstall previously removed system by another company that sub contracted by a roofing company and never returned. Donnie at waynes solar advised not to re-install a 16 year old system on a new roof. gave a very reasonable quote. we are very happy with the results!

The swarms of clipboard toting solicitors and vague promises of incentives for getting solar are confusing. I met with three different companies. One was set up to appear online to be local but wasn't really. One came to my house full sales style and was very convincing. But because I knew the family history of some staff at Wayne's Solar, I went back to them after this sales visit from their competitor to ask more questions. And I'm so glad I did. Wayne's Solar is where you want to take your business. Believe it. Their installation crew, their after-installation customer support help, their sales people, all of it is top shelf. Legit five star. Don't be fooled. Go to Wayne's Solar. You will be so very glad you did.

Short Version - Good: Knowledgeable salesman. Professional quote with competitive pricing. Quality products and physical install.
Bad: Minor issues with technical aspects of install, follow-up communication, and billing.

Long Version - Salesman came out and provided lots of useful information and a fair quote.

Techs came out and installed things everything correctly when it comes to the roof panels, piping, etc. but there was one issue I was able to catch with the "control module" during installation and they corrected it immediately. Unfortunately, there was another issue with how it the system was tied into my pool pump timer. Nothing dangerous and it still functioned, but it created some headaches in keeping the system operating correctly in conjunction with the pool pump.

When I figured out the issue a few months later, I contacted them to come out and correct it. It took a few calls, but they came out and fixed it. A few weeks later, I received a bill for a "service call". My understanding was that this was a warranty service to fix their mistake. Additionally, I was never informed before the visit that there would be any charge. I reached out via phone and email to ask for clarification. Didn't receive a response, but I kept receiving "unpaid bill" notices. After a few calls to their billing dept (they were very nice), I was told the owner would contact me. He did not. After receiving a few more invoices, I reached out to the owner directly (Ricky, I believe). Ricky said he would talk to the tech that performed the service for clarification and call me back. I never heard from him again, just more invoices.

Fortunately, my issues were relatively minor. I got the impression that it is a generally well-run company with good people working there, but the owner is just very busy and my minor situation just kept getting put on the back burner, which is understandable. I would just be worried about things would go if a larger problem / miscommunication had occurred.

Would highly recommend ,courteous on time, always answer phone very professional . The two young men that came to my house were the BEST! They treated me like family went way over normal expectations to make everything perfect. Was absolutely amazed that they asked me if they could help me fix pool drain cover that had come off ! 5 stars all the way ! And reasonably priced !

They came they did the job, easy to talk to Ricky is a pleasure always there to answer phone calls I would recommend them to everybody I give them a 5.00

Wayne's Solar did an awesome job with our solar panels and Tesla Powerwall. We are very pleased with the service, installation, professionalism, and our whole experience. I was originally going to install solar panels on my own to run our well pump for long term power outages but I wanted to consult a professional and get a second opinion before I got in over my head. Donnie came out and explained a much better option to utilize solar not only for our well pump but also for most of our household needs. The system worked flawlessly during the recent hurricanes in Florida where we lost power for multiple days. I was worried the Powerwall would not last because it was cloudy the day after the storm but it stayed charged with minimal sunlight and kept our household running. I called Wayne's because of the good reviews that I read about them and I can verify that the service is top shelf. If you're considering solar or a battery backup system, you can't go wrong with Wayne's Solar.

I had Wayne’s Solar install the solar in my house in New Smyrna Beach. Everyone, especially Skip, were a pleasure to deal with. When I moved to Ocklawaha I needed solar and called Skip. They installed the panels and 2 Tesla back ups. They were on time. Did all the paperwork for me.
I highly recommend Wayne’s solar. In my opinion they are the best!
Addendum: I just had more panels installed and once again Skip and his team did a fabulous flawless installation!

Great people to work with. Jamie explained the whole process of the attic fan from start to finish. Highly recommend this company!

I had the Solar Fans installed and the two guys who installed both fans in less than half an hour. My fans are 48 Watts, and I have not noticed any difference in the temperature in my house. One of the fans was installed over the garage area and the heat in the garage is still the same, the fans have been working for two weeks now and no difference, I am wondering whether I made a mistake with these fans. As for the company they work quickly., that is all I have to write.

We dealt with Donnie from start to finish. From day 1 he was very helpful. When we decided to go ahead, he kept us informed at every stage of the install, the inspections and the hook up. He was very easy to deal with and we think we got a fair price and an install in a reasonable time.

Our Sales person Jamie was incredible. He saved us money , took care of everything . He also taught me about the pool maintenance that i was not aware of. ( our regular pool cleaner does not tell us )The job came out great.

I had Wayne’s Solar install my system 5 years ago. Although the inverter has gone out twice, they’ve promptly taken care of my home. Last weekend, we discovered a leak in my roof. It was discovered to be caused by their insulation. Without question, my salesman, Skip (fantastic rep), got the service started. Their serviceman, Adam, came out and took care of immediately. They’re scheduled a drywall individual to come our and repair the damage. I am so impressed with their professionalism and integrity. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Donnie was my project coordinator. He did great. Dealing with an old dude that isn't very tech savvy (partially by choice) had to be a little challenging, but he is very cool, and gave me absolutely no BS. The installation went really well, done very quickly, and very neat. I will recommend you to anybody I think may be interested.

Had a problem with the tubes being in the wrong spot. They fixed that and it has worked well since then. Needed an electrical outlet. They sent out two electricians and installed the outlet. Overall a very good job.

Wayne's is the best. We had a leak in our solar. They originally said they were booked out for two weeks. Nice surprise, they showed up in a few days and fixed the leak and thermostat. THANK you for keeping my pool warm!!!!

Panels are great, schedule fast - had some issues with filter timer after installation and they had guy come right out twice to fix.

I originally used Wayne's Solar around 7 years ago to install solar panels to heat up the swimming pool. When I replaced the roof 3 years ago they removed and subsequently replaced the panels for that. Today they came by and repaired a few leaks (I think a squirrel was chewing on a tube). They've always been very reliable and professional and polite.

Good and reliable solar provider. We have solar water, solar electric and solar pool heating. Workers are on time and efficient.

My house is almost 20 years old and the panels are original since it was built. They have replaced several old leaking panels with new 4x12 Hi-Tec panels. Noticed this company was local. I decided I would reach out and see what they had to offer seeing as I'm looking into solar for a couple of my rentals. Every time I have called either no one answered or when someone did they couldn't answer any of my questions. I went on their website and filled out a form for an appointment and no one has reached out. I have stilled called and haven't gotten a call back for over a week now. Was trying to give them a shot but when calling a company that works all of the country they were able to answer any questions or concerns. At the end of the day since they couldn't answer or even give me a call when i left a voicemail and filled out their form, i will prob go with another company now.

Buyer beware. All these Solar sales people are going to make it sound like solar will save you so much money. It's a complete scam. We have had these panels for months and our bill has not dropped a cent. They try to blame budget billing, but I wasn't born yesterday. FPL tells you what the bill would be regardless of your budget billing. Now we owe 144 a month to a bank for a bunch of unsightly trash on the roof. It looks like hell. They left a massive white wire running across our black roof. I could scream.

Jaime came to our house and helped us figure out the best water heater replacement for us, he was extremely knowledgeable and professional! The installation team was just as great, they were in and out quickly, very professional and cleaned up after themselves and actually showed up when they said they would which is rare these days!

Prompt and very reliable company. Installers were very informative of any issues from time of completion to follow up. Answered all calls very quickly and responded on time........

We've had our new system installed by Wayne's Solar running for quite a while. It has run smooth and saved us every month on our energy bill. Everything seems to be great at this point. They were knowledgeable and did a great job. They respond quickly to any questions and did a great job of installing the system. I also had previously had Wayne's do the solar heating for my pool and that also worked tremendously. Great company!!! Worked with Jamie Ressler at Wayne's and he was great to work with.

This was the previous posting I made (below), back in Sept 2020.
Now (Sep 2024) we are adding 2 new panels to the front of our house - again with Wayne's Solar. Not only is the cost very reasonable, but the workmanship is outstanding. They are not paying me for this review, but I will tell you that if you are thinking of investing in solar, there is simply not a better company.

To me, Wayne's Solar epitomizes the very BEST in business:
Trustworthiness, respect, hard work, and follow-up.

This is concerning my second major expense with Wayne's Solar, but I have been dealing with this company since 2016. The most recent experience was that we had to get house re-roofed due to wind damage (solar panels were fine by the way). So we did this Sept 2020.

Wayne's (Skip is the manager) in Ormond Beach handled the work of removing the solar panels, stacking them for us in the garage, and re-attaching them (with flashing) to the roof.

The service was superb. Wayne's gave us a discount and they rearranged our solar panels on the roof to gain maximum exposure. They were extraordinarily careful, and they always are. Skip is a pleasure to work with - and so are his incredible staff.

If you are considering solar, this is the best company out there, in my opinion. We looked around a long time before choosing them.
