I called VHS and spoke with Jim to put up some grab bars in my parents house in their bathrooms, which they needed right away, and he scheduled an appt with them about a day later. Everyone else I spoke with couldn't fit them in for almost a week. He gave a fair price and was very professional. My parents said Jim did a great job, very personable and they would highly recommend him (as well as myself) to others. Job well done... thanks Jim!!

We hired this company for several projects. Within only a week or so, some play equipment that they installed tore out of the wall while children were on it. We contacted them to fix it, but they never showed up and constantly argued. So we had someone else come and fix it. Afterward, this company said they would pay the bill for the other company that fixed it, but they never have. Horrible customer service. Horrible professionalism. Horrible work quality.

I had a very disappointing experience with Volusia Handyman Solutions. Their communication was poor, and they consistently failed to meet agreed-upon timelines. The team was unprofessional and rude when discussing the project after providing the bid. To make matters worse, they are now refusing to honor the guarantee on the work they completed. I would not recommend their services. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this company.

Very disappointed in the professionalism and quality of work rendered by the Volusia Handyman Solutions team. Hired this guy to do some flooring work for us. They didn't bother to level the floor and now there's soft spots in it, there's also visible gaps between the flooring pieces. He swore there was a 90 day guarantee, but he's ignoring our contacts to get him to come back out and fix it.

This company is amazing!!! I was locked in my apt because my doorknob came off in my hand (beginning of Hurricane Milton) and Jim came by changed out my doorknob. He also fixed the living room window that came off the bottom hinges from the Hurricane. My driveway and backyard are completely flooded and Jim came out and waded through all this to help me!! I would recommend this company to anybody!!!

I initially had high hopes and was excited about working with this company, as they presented themselves professionally and seemed like a good fit for our needs. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by several significant issues.

Communication was a recurring challenge throughout the project. We encountered delays and confusion that could have been avoided with clearer, more consistent correspondence. Additionally, there were repeated issues with the handymen arriving late, which disrupted our schedule and caused unnecessary delays.

More concerning, however, was the lack of care and attention to safety protocols. On multiple occasions, tools were left out in areas accessible to the children at our school, posing a serious safety hazard. Furthermore, a bookcase in our library was damaged during the course of the work, adding to our frustration.

Although these concerns were brought up, it often felt as though the problems were not addressed properly or fully resolved. Overall, what began as a promising partnership ended with disappointment due to these unresolved issues.

I had hoped for a more positive experience with Volusia Handyman Solution, but unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. Throughout the project, the contractors consistently missed the scheduled time windows they provided. During their initial claim of job completion, the site was left with exposed wood and unfinished flooring. It required multiple follow-ups, both through the company's main phone line and the contractor’s personal number, to finally get them to return and complete the work.

Jim grouted my shower tile and floor. He was professional and both the job and the price were good. Thank you!

Jim provided same day service installation on my microwave and did a great job. He is very professional was in and out in no time. He even cleaned up when the job was complete. Highly recommended.

James was professional, efficient, personable and right on time. I called to have a sliding glass shower door repaired but had several other issues on my list that I wanted to ask about repairing in the future. He was able to take care of several today (within an hour!). He took pictures of a couple of appliances in order to order parts and will be calling me and coming back to fix those. Jim was a superbly resourceful handyman. I needed my smoke detectors inspected. Jim quickly discovered a problem and resolved it in the least expensive way possible. A genuinely nice guy that I would recommend for any home improvement project.

Definitely recommend for any of your household repair needs. He was the only one willing to install a dog door through my cinder block wall, Called and got the work done the next day. Also, had a water line for a fridge installed.

I used Volutia Handyman Solutions more than one time only to be dissapointed with his services. Jim has a complete lack of craftmanship and does not perform a job well. Almost every job he does seem to look good only on the surface. He remodeled a bathroom for me entirely and more than one kitchen counter only to get complaint after complaint on the intallation of the counter, plumbing under the sink in the kitchen and bathrooms he worked on. He is very careless and does not have job quality in what he does. On the last job he did for me, he replaced an exterior door and did not file a permit with the Daytona Beach City afterwards he refused to help me obtain this city permit. There is a current City Law in Daytona Beach, FL that only Contractors can replace exterior doors and not Handymen. I am sure he knows this. He charged for exterior door installation and I had someone else call me that Jim subhired to get paid for the installation which was very aggravating besides having the City inspector on my back about getting the exterior door permit in place. Just now I had to hired a contractor to help me get the permit required one year ago. What a nightmare it has been using this Daytona Beach local handyman service. Beware! I do not recommend this business at all.

I used Volusia handyman for a bathroom sink which needed the p trap replaced . The charge was $211.00 to replace a p trap! And a valve seat on shower fixture handle. Two very simple tasks cost me $364 I have performed these simple tasks myself many times so Im aware of what is involved. Im not blaming the technician, hes not in charge of the price gouging, I realize everyone wants to make some money but this is pretty bad. Even though I was disgustad with the overcharged amount I paid it the same day through cash ap. Now they have sent me a notice saying it has not been paid and they have added xtra charges on it totaling $568.57!!! I will not do business with them again and would advise anyone else to to the same.

Jim is our go-to handyman. Our home was built in the early 1930s and requires regular maintenance and some emergency repairs. Jim is dependable and trustworthy and does an excellent job.

I'm glad I discovered Volusia Handyman Solutions on the Internet and their website. My mom started looking around the house for more reasons to have them come back. I am very impressed with their work and skill set.

Jimmy and his brother Nitty were reliable and responsive with work that need to be done. Flooring needed repairs before any flooring could be installed. Flooring came out great. He also installed new Led lighting and ceiling fans throughout. New toilet and bathroom cabinet with faucet were also installed. All in all very professional and great work done through out the home. I highly recommend.

Today I had Volusia Handyman Solutions, two guys, who came to do some well needed electrical work.
They came and hung my two new lights in bathroom. Also asked if they could change a wall outlet...and they said sure...no problem. Right off the bat I new I would like these guys. Very eager to please and to show their polite professionalism and make sure your needs have been met. Don't let me forget to say, they went above and beyond to pick up a large cabinet that I needed delivered. They have been a great contact. Very pleasant and easy to talk to and explain your needs. I could not be happier. They are my go to handyman. I highly recommend!!!!

Unbelievably Good

I had a difficult task to perform and knew if I tried to do it I could injure myself. I called Volusia Handyman Solutions and arranged for Jim and his crew to perform the task. He and his crew called ahead and showed up at the prearranged time. He gave me an approximate price which was very reasonable. Jim and his crew did a great job and stuck to the original price even though the task proved to be more difficult than originally defined. I would hire Volusia Handyman Solutions again in a heartbeat.

I called them yesterday twice he explained to me that the guys was working and soon as they called him he would let me know if they could come yesterday to put a TV stand together for my daughter he said he would keep me informed he said if not it will be first thing Wednesday morning between 10 and 11 so I said that’s fine this morning I’ll call twice no answer went to voicemail never called me back call third time don’t answerVoicemail so I would not recommend this company at all

They are finishing up my doorway as we speak! He ran around all day From Home Depot to Lowe’s and back again ! Due to Covid-19 the lines were terrible and he had to go back to get another door.He stayed in contact with me throughout it all.very professional . Really went above and beyond for us today thank you!!

Jim came in ready to go to work. He removed the old toilet, cleaned up the caulk that was on the floor, he delivered the new toilet, he removed the old toilet (he took it away for disposal), Jim installed the new toilet, caulked & did his clean up. Jim was very professional. Considering what he had to do, he was very pleasant. I would definitely use this company in the future without any hesitation

I called Volusia Handyman Solutions and I spoke with Jim around 8:00 pm (way after work hours) regarding my living room curtain rods that fell off. I was worried about going through the night without any curtains. Jim arranged someone (William) immediately, and the issue was taken care of within an hour or so.

Great quality, professional and reasonably priced service with punctuality and perfect responsiveness. I don’t think I would work with any other handyman ever as long as I live in their work area.
