I had a pipe backup underneath the flooring in my basement and Umpire came through! They took care of everything. They moved things out of the way and took care not to break anything. After everything was removed, the crew cleaned all of the affected area. Cesar's crew was professional, quick, and efficient. Definitely recommended!

Our pipe burst during an awful ice storm
I’m December 2022. There was bad water damage to our master bedroom, bathroom and part of our hallway. We had a few options for mitigation companies and we are so glad we went with Umpire. They responded immediately and though they were extremely busy made sure to come out within 48 hours. So busy in fact the owners (husband and wife) came out to do the job themselves because no crew was available. They were incredibly fast, efficient, helpful with recommendations and kind. They came out three times because our walls weren’t drying and they wanted to make sure nothing molded. The owners reached out several times to check in and helped us tremendously with our insurance. We felt we received far more attention and professionalism than from a larger company. We highly recommend Umpire, hopefully we won’t need their services again but should we they will be our first call.

Francisco was very professional, always on time, worked competently and diligently until all our water damage clean out was completed. He returned as scheduled to check on basement drying and take moisture readings before removing the equipment.

I just bought a used car from someone who was a smoker and the car had gotten mold damage. My husband and I cleaned out the car but could not get the smell to go away. I called Umpire and Stephen suggested that they had a machine they could put in my car that would help mitigate the mold and cigarette smoke smell. I just went through the traumatic experience of my first flood. Umpire was prompt and had someone stop by the day I called to assess the damages. The damages were extensive and required, major drywall and hardwood floor removal. The men who did this were kind and did great work (though unfortunate situation). Stephen, at the office, was very courteous and helped take care of a fee misunderstanding - which was SO helpful especially since my insurance company is basically MIA at this point. I definitely recommend them!

We had a minor issue (user error) of not shutting off the outside water and thankfully were home when the pipe burst. We called Stephen and he came to measure the moisture content in the walls and cut out some drywall so we can make sure it’s all dry. He is incredibly knowledgeable and has answers to any questions that you ask. The entire team at Umpire was fantastic! From the first phone call to the final check-in, they were here quickly and were patient to figure out exactly what was wrong, etc. Their team did excellent work and we highly recommend them.

When I discovered a water leak stemming from the water dispenser in my refrigerator, Umpire responded immediately to ensure that the damage was controlled. They inspected the impacted areas thoroughly, documented the damage with photos and notes, took care to protect my furniture, appliances and cabinets while they worked, and even when removing a large amount of wet insulation they did such a nice job cleaning up that one wouldn’t be able to tell that they had undertaken that type of removal. When unfortunately I had a second, unrelated leak, I called again and they responded in 5-10 minutes. Additionally, Cesar was always great about showing up when he said and keeping me apprised of his ETA. I would recommend this company without hesitation, based on my experience.

UMPIRE was referred to me by my Insurance agent. I never heard of UMPIRE before. I am glad my agent did so. UMPIRE was very responsive. I called on a Monday, Stephen from UMPIRE responded and scheduled someone to come to my house on that day. His crew was very professional and responsive. The crew was able to pinpoint the water damage was from a leaky pipe. Came to find out that the pipe had a cracked hole due to Khov builder poor workmanship. The Khov worker when the was built, the worker drove a nail to the sewer pipe. The hole was small enough initially which caused slow water leak for many years until the pipe finally gave way, and a lot more water leak out and damaged my wood floor. I have a number of questions on the damage which I called Stephen. Stephen was very helpful and answered my questions which helped to ease my high level of concerns regarding how the pipe would be replaced. When it comes to drywall and flooring, he also has a very professional contractor crew from MVS who came out to fix the drywall, replaced damaged flooring, and fixed the pipe. They're prompt and professional, and did great work. I will definitely call upon Stephen and his contractor crew in the future if needs arise. Their customer service is impeccable in making sure customer is happy with the work.

Very pleased! We used Umpire Mitigation to do mold remediation for the entire basement of our Vienna home. Stephen was extremely professional. From initial contact to completion, he responded quickly to questions and requests. We had hired an independent inspector to conduct air and surface samples and then create a remediation plan. Stephen and crew followed it precisely. The team was punctual, hard-working, and left area in good shape at the end of the day. Finished on time and on budget. Most importantly, the mold is gone (confirmed by retest of air and surfaces samples).
