Lisa is very knowledgeable and is always there to help you thru your project, big or small. I enjoyed working with Twin City Roofing and will tell my friends and family. Thanks again, Dan
They did great work really quickly. When there was an issue, they fixed it immediately - for example, some shingles were dented. When I let them know, they replaced the shingles the next day. Jordan Stenzel was incredibly responsive and helpful. The stained siding turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined.
They removed, fixed shedding on garage and installed new gutter system for my house and garage in 2 day's.
Cleaned up work area spotless and we're extremely polite.
Very pleased with all facets of Twin City Roofings replacement of our entire roof due to hail damaged. Very professional start to finish.

Dishonest sales people and horrible craftsmanship. The sales guy we worked with lied straight to my face, fortunately we have security cameras on our property to be able to call out their dishonesty. The workmanship was far below acceptable. The roof vents were installed incorrectly and against manufacturer instructions. The sales guy of course told us his crew was specially trained to install the vents. When this issues were noted they claimed they came back out to correct. Again, security cameras show that to be a lie. Eventually someone came out several times to make corrections. It’s been several years and the low quality shows. I have shingles that did not adhere correctly, others on venting that are curled up. The trip edge is bent. They only installed a starter strip of shingles on one section of roof. Then came back later and tucked another shingle underneath. Would not recommend and do not trust the roof. I’m only leaving this review now as they just texted asking me to add a good review for them several years after the work was completed.
Did a great job on my commercial property. Got the work done in a very timely manner. Highly recommend if you’re looking to replace your roof!
Starting in June or July of 2024, I had a small leak in a bedroom. I have a stupid roof with no crawlspace, so it's kind of hard to figure it out. I went with one company I found on thumbtack and they spent quite a bit of time on it and it solved nothing. Eventually I gave up and went with twin city roofing construction.
Now, it's been a long road. Jason found some sketchy quick fixes the other company used that they shouldn't have. We thought we got it fixed but it leaked once again and we had to wait until spring to get more work done. But Jason was always super communicative, explained what he was doing and why that was likely the problem. I had him out here a few weeks ago and after the days of heavy rain that followed, I can say that I have not had a drop come through. I'm extremely appreciative and thankful. Great company.
Our twenty year old roof was at the end of it's life I called 3 - 4 companies, and Twin City Roofing had a reasonable price and DID NOT pressure me in any way.. All the other companies were pushing me to file an insurance claim, we'll call it hail damage, etc. texting twice a day to see if I'd decided, etc.
There was none of that from TCR - it was just a worn out roof that was a normal home ownership expense. Company owner came out before starting job to review salesman's contract and make sure we were only getting what we needed and understood everything.
The job was done is one day, The yard was cleaner when they were through cleaning up than when they arrived. I had a good experience and they seem like a very reputable company.
I have been working with sales rep. Lisa G. I was working with another company and they could just not get movement on my claim. I contacted a few different companies and decided to go with Lisa and the team at Twin City’s Roofing.
Since then the claim has been reviewed and the insurance company is taking ownership for for the storm damages my home received after being dragged out with the other company for 2 years. I was unwilling to let the insurance company push me around and I found the contractor that was willing to put in the work to get the adjustment and money owed by the insurance company.
Thanks to Lisa and the team for picking up the claim and working hard to get the jod done. The roof is payed for and we are working on the siding and windows. I know if it can be done Lisa is the one that will get done for me!
I also hade a tree fall onto one of my rentals. Lisa has handled this from the start and is moving along quickly and should be ready to build in a few weeks, not years. Just can’t say enough to be working with a professional like Lisa and being able to get all aspects of both claims taken care of with one contractor.
We had our roof replaced, as well as adding gutters in areas that were without them, by TC Roofing due to a hail storm and they did a wonderful job. Lisa has been attentive throughout the entire process and was extremely helpful in making sure that the insurance company paid for the damage. She was even able to get some of the siding repaired that was impacted by the roof repair. When it was time to install the gutters she kindly waited to schedule it until a nest of baby robins had flown off instead of disrupting them. Thank you for making this process as smooth as possible!
Lisa was very helpful throughout the entire process. Our project is still in process but navigating our claims process through insurance and coordinating with contractors was made much easier with her expertise.
There are a range of ratings for TC Roofing. It seems like your experience might be affected by who you're working with at the company. In my case, things went great. A late summer storm caused major damage to my home. Their manager, Robert, was right there from day one throughout the process to ensure things were completed by winter: he answered all my questions, explained what needed doing and why, dealt with insurance hassles, saw to it that crews completed the jobs on time, etc. The finished work is solid and professional looking. And a special call-out to W.E. Nelson Stucco, which works under the umbrella of TC Roofing—their repair work blends impressively with the original stucco.
They call me everyday. Openly harass me and laugh at me for asking them to stop. I have received 500 plus calls from them alone just this year, i have never done business with tyem and never will. I will being filing a lawsuit for harassment. Never use this company for anything ever. Definitely the correct company said your name and everything. Piss off. Review is staying for life. Stop calling people who aren't customers
I'm sorry to say that what once was a great company is now less than desirable. For starters the time it takes from start to finish is completely un-exceptable. No one updates you let alone gives you an accurate time frame on how long the project will take.
Plus the turnover rate is unbelievable. I went through 4 sales people, before anything even got started on my home.
Not the wrong company you had sent Rob, Alex, some Manager named Juan I think we are done with the run around. I'm not wasting ome more minute with this type of deception.
This will be the last time I ever use this company again.
STAY AWAY IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HOME.
Twin City Roofing themselves have been disorganized and unprofessional. Salesmen wore his shoes throughout our home, which is gross. We applied for financing with a manager who then hung up and didn't reach out to us to start the project for like two weeks. They reached out to us to ask if we planned on making other payment arrangements and threatened to lien our property, even though they did not complete their portion on the back end to push final financing documents to us (the company I work for uses the same finance company, so I know the back-end process). Really just frustrating to work with.
Our windows turned out nice, but they were installed by a contractor who was incredibly respectful and professional (will leave a 5-star review for them on their own listing).
Lisa was an absolute pleasure to work with during our roof replacement project. As the project manager, she conducted a thorough inspection of our roof and explained everything she was seeing in a way that was incredibly easy for me to understand. Her expertise and knowledge shone through, and she took the time to educate me on the process every step of the way.
Lisa was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and informed throughout the project. Thanks to her diligence and great communication, our roof replacement process has gone smoothly.
We're so glad we chose Twin City Roofing, and Lisa will be our first call for any future work needed on our home. I highly recommend Lisa and the entire Twin City Roofing team to anyone in need of roofing services.
Paul Wellnitz from Twin Cities Roofing came out to give us a quote on the cost to replace our 20 year old roof earlier this month.
We have not owned the home long and did not expect any part of the repair to be covered by insurance because of the age of the roof. We were just looking to get an idea of how much it would cost to replace.
Paul took one look and told us we had hail damage and to file a claim. He worked with the adjuster on our behalf and was able to get the new roof covered in full by our insurance company within one week of his initial visit to our home. We have already received the initial insurance check and expect the work to be completed within the next few weeks.
We have been so pleased with the process so far and are very grateful to Paul for getting us a new roof completely covered by insurance!
Twin City Roofing replaced our shingles, skylights, soffits, fascia, and siding on our townhouse. It looked good, however, there were some workmanship issues. We called the Company and after a full inspection they came out and redid the areas in question. They stand by their workmanship warranty. Thank you Twin City Roofing.

Could not be better! Every one was spot on!
Super professional! Brett Shelstad went above and beyond to help us!!
Construction crew was outstanding in workmanship and care of the property!
Thank you so much!! -Jeff-
I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Lisa from Twin Cities Roofing. We got a letter saying we were being dropped by our home insurance for a few reasons, one of them being the roof. I had a few companies come out, however, from our first meeting, Lisa was so understanding of the stress and frustration happening and was so genuine in her willingness to help. We discussed the roof and she took a look at it, but we also did a general walkaround of the property and she explained not only why we were having the problems, but also how to repair them and prevent them in the future. This is mine and my husband’s first home and it was so extremely helpful having Lisa walkthrough everything with us and share so much knowledge. She wasn’t just here to make a roof sale. She was here to help. It was an incredibly inconvenient time for this to happen with insurance as I have been sick for the past 2 years and have had extensive medical bills and have not been able to work. We found out the issue and I started treatment in May and I had a job again by mid-June. With that being said, finances have been very tight. Lisa talked with us about county, state and federal emergency home rehab programs to try to help with funding, as well as financing options. Unfortunately, we didn’t qualify for any. After much searching, we were able to find coverage but had to have the other issues fixed – dry rot, exposed wood, gutter drainage. We got it all fixed and are ok for now. We absolutely would not have been able to fix what we did without Lisa’s recommendations of products and her educating us on what’s happening that is creating the issues in the first place. When we are able to afford the new roof, we absolutely will be calling Lisa. I fell in March and got a TBI and the patience and genuine care Lisa had with me and the memory and struggles of that through the process made such an incredible difference with this all. I really feel like the experience we had is not only a reflection of the good-natured character of Lisa, but also an overall reflection of the culture that Twin Cities Roofing cultivates. We haven’t yet purchased anything from them and we are still taken care of. Thank you so much for the time, energy, knowledge and laughter you shared with us, we are looking forward to working with you in the hopefully near future.
Severely lacking in communication with no regard to a client's time. Roofers were 30 days late to install, left roofing trash on side of house and did not clean up roofing nails from garage/alley. Poor communication from original job supervisor, not great from current one. Last time we spoke, job sup said he would get someone out to fix our chimney, and that it would be $750. That was on May 16th, we're now on June 17th with nothing done. That being said, I have a tarp wrapped around our chimney with some tattered yellow warning tape. With all the heavy rains and an unsealed roof, what would you think the outcome would be? Leaks.
Soffits were pulled up/bent, there's a bad trim job done on front of our home. There are at least 20 brass deck screws drilled INTO our siding with no explanation as to why. When I originally spoke with them in April, they said they had to test for asbestos shingles. Nothing has been tested, no communication attempts from company or job supervisor. Included are before and after photos of roof/front of house.
First image is Google maps from 2022, second is from day after roof install.

A response from the owner talking about pre-existing responsibilities! That's fine, we all decided that I would pay for chimney repair, and your project mgr had a company and a price. Everything else has been abysmal and still does not explain the deck screws in the siding, or the complete lack of communication.
I spoke with Josie on the phone today, and she was so sweet, knowledgeable and helpful. She answered all of the questions that I had, and I will be doing business here in the future.
I had the pleasure of meeting with Lisa G. and Rodrigo today. They did a fantastic job of getting my claim approved. Everything was so seamless. I'm very happy.
My experience with Jim, Lisa and Robert has been exceptional! Family friendly company and all of the staff are not only sharp but very kind. Great business model- customers FIRST!
Worked with Von. It was a real pleasureto have him on my project. He is courteous, pleasant, helpful etc. I will recommend him for any project to others. Thank you Von. As well as your crew.
Did an excellent job! Looks great! Hard working crew! Jim, the project manager, did a great job explaining everything before and after the job was completed.
Prompt with the return call. Prompt with the appointment setting. Prompt with the arrival to my home. Very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. WILL use them again. Great experience!!! Brett and Tyler were my guys! Thank you!
Quick response to our need for repair of roof around our chimney that was leaking. Excellent repair and follow up afterward. Price was more than fair.
I have never felt so helpless and unimportant.
No one has every checked in with me after a project to explain how it went and let me know if was finished.
I have had three instances where work crews showed up unannounced which is dangerous and disruptive to my tenants.
I was passed of to other project managers twice, having had three total.
Employees are leaving the company.
Communication between employees is not good.
Communication with me was not good, and in some cases I was willfully ignored.
I was accidentally overlooked.
I felt neglected and that I did not matter.
I will never be sure if the work was complete and done well.
Fixed gutters onto rotten wood, which was supposed to be replaced.
Roofers damaged window frame and stucco.
This was the most stressful and angering service experience I have ever had with a company.
I have been informed that they have submitted a final bill to my insurance (without telling me the job is finished) that my agent says contains a lot that was not to be covered.
I would highly recommend seeking out your roofing needs elsewhere. We started working with this company in July 2022 after the hail storm in May 2022. We finally got our roof replaced in July or Aug of this year. 1 year later. The job is still not finished. In order to replace the roof, our skylights also needed to be replaced. They didn’t use the correct knobs for our skylights to open and when they came to replace them a few months ago, only replaced one. We also have dark trim on the interior of the window. They had to replace a small amount but didn’t even attempt to color match and used orange toned wood. It does not look great. As many others have stated, it is nearly impossible to reach them. Once they have your money, all communication will basically stop. We tried to get out of the contract to go with a smaller company that had better customer service but were told we would have to pay $7,000. Twin City Roofing hadn’t even purchased any of the supplies. My husband has contacted Robb numerous times about this. Robb is always too busy or just never responds. As a result of the lack of communication, my husband wrote a review of this company. The office contacted him right after and tried to get my husband to take the review down. They also tried to tell us in their response that replacing the trim around our skylights was “complimentary”. This was never conveyed to us. It’s part of the job.
In short, this company needs to work on their customer service and communication skills. There seems to be a huge lack of communication between the main office itself and the 3rd party contractors. I will say, the people they hired out to actually replace the roof were great. Got it done in 1 day. Lesson learned- don’t use a company that doesn’t employ their own workers who will actually be doing the job! Find a local, small company that has a crew. Wish we would have gone that route.
Twin Cities Roofing- are you going to replace the knob for our skylight and address the trim issue?
Paul was nice at first and seemed knowledgeable of the process. I have been waiting over a year for this to be completed and still, I am waiting which is BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE. A fellow neighbor referred me to them, but if they have to do too much work interacting with the insurance company, ( which is part of the contractor’s job ) then they get lazy and drop the ball. The lack of communication with me is also a factor. He barely responds, if ever. Another neighbor who was referred to them was also unimpressed, so it is clearly not just my experience. I highly recommend NOT USING TCR. If I could give them negative stars I would give them a -10. I have several other roofers who would have happily and professionally done the job by now, but here we are on standby.
100% Great working with Twin Cities. I will definitely be calling them for commercial work next time also. Fast Friendly and Communicative.
Great communication & exceptional service from start to finish. Friendly office staff scheduled our appointment convenient for us. Paul our salesman/project manager met with our insurance adjuster and within a few days our roofing materials & skylight were delivered.
We were very impressed with the roofing crew. They covered our deck, sidewalks, air conditioner with tarps and even protected our plants. They were organized, worked efficiently and did a great job cleaning up. Paul also stopped over to follow up with the roofing crew.
We like doing business with family owned Companies that have years of experience and is also environmentally conscious using quality safe products. We highly recommend Twin City Roofing.
Bob & Debbie Sawyer
Paul at TC Roofing went above and beyond for me with Farmers Insurance claims. He made sure with two seperate insurance adjusters to get me every single dollar that was owed. His experince in the business clearly made the difference. Hire TC roofing and MAKE SURE YOU GET PAUL. He will get you every dollar and make the process seamless for you.
Quick and efficient, we had damage to our rubber roof of our grocery store. We had Brett out in early November to survey the damage and give us an estimate. One week later, we have a crew out to repatch our roof and now we’re all good to go. The crew went above and beyond and gave us the fix we so desperately needed right before the holidays. We’re glad to be partnered up with Twin Cities Roofing!
We had a new roof, gutters, & siding installed in 2023. I started out with Jake, who was amazing, by the way. He left the company and I was concerned I wouldn't get the same service since my project manager was changing mid-project but Juan assigned Mackenzie right away and she was top-notch too. Mackenzie had great communication, listened to and addressed all our concerns, was prompt, and delivered excellent service. All of the work done by the Twin City Roofing crews was done professionally and looks great. I have no regrets with going with them for my entire project and would definitely recommend them.
Never Again: My Final Straw with Twin City Roofing
My experience with Twin City Roofing was beyond frustrating. We faced major communication breakdowns, leading to annoying delays in getting the project completed. To be honest, the only reason we got a decent job done was thanks to some third-party contractors—they were the real heroes here.
Now, regarding Robb, the person I worked with directly from Twin City Roofing, he tried, but it wasn't stellar. He was in touch, but it felt like he was caught in some kind of red tape. Decision-making was slow, and everything had to go through the chaotic main office.
Speaking of the Twin City Roofing main office, it's a mess. Seriously disorganized. So, even though Robb was doing his best, the tangled mess at the main office ended up affecting the whole show, and it definitely took a toll on the quality of service.
To add insult to injury, they make you sign a contract that's a nightmare to get out of. Attempting to break the contract came with a hefty $7k price tag. This shady business practice left me baffled. Why should I pay such a steep fee when materials weren't purchased, and contractors weren't even signed? It's a blatant disregard for fair business practices, and it raises serious questions about the company's integrity.
This entire ordeal has solidified my decision—never again will I do business with Twin City Roofing. The lack of transparency, disorganization, and unfair business practices make them a company I cannot trust or recommend. Learn from my experience, and steer clear of Twin City Roofing; I will never do business with this company ever again.
After hail and wind damaged our roof it developed a leak. Lisa Gruye came out made sure our roof was tarped right away. She met with our insurance adjuster, explained everything to us and made the process so much easier. We had been planning on doing other work on our home as well, and Lisa and Juan spent a lot of time working with us to come up with a plan that meets our budget and fixes the issues we need to deal with. We are very excited to see our plans come to fruition in the coming weeks as Lisa has a great eye for design in addition to being very knowledgeable about the mechanics of how the house works -- we have learned a lot from her!
Mid-project update:
The roof has been installed and looks beautiful! The roofing crew was amazing. They worked very efficiently throughout the project and were respectful of not only our property but the neighbor's as well. They put down tarps to catch the debris when tearing off the old materials and were so quick and conscientious when cleaning up the neighbor's yard that our neighbor commented on how nice and considerate they were. The very skilled crew navigated our steep and tall roof on some windy days with ease. They were all very friendly and we appreciate their quality work.
The siding part of the project is in progress and is also looking beautiful. This crew is equally amazing at what they do! The large crew is quickly transforming our home into a thing of beauty. They are very friendly and skilled professionals that have been very respectful and responsive to our family's needs. We appreciate the attention to detail and quality of the work being done and are looking forward to seeing the finished project.
Robb Hannigan was great to work with. We didn't end up working with the company but Robb went above and beyond to walk us through inspection and insurance. He was professional and personable, a great combo in a project manager!
I had a great experience with Twin Cities Roofing! I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Makinzie, one of their amazing staff. I was at a loss of how and what I needed to do to repair my garage roof after a tree branch fell on it and caused a bit of damage. She was super patient in explaining every step that I needed to take and was very responsive for any follow up questions/concerns I had. I highly recommend this company and I'm grateful to have worked with them! :)
Met with Paul showed me the sales process was very pleased signed up for a new roof can't wait for the new roof!.
ThanksPaul
One of their company trucks proceeded to cut me off multiple times without using a blinker on the highway today. Then the driver proceeded to give me the finger not once, but TWICE! If this is indicative of how this company runs their business and hires employees like this, AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.
Do not work with this company and do not trust the 5-star reviews- the salesperson asks that people post a 5-star on the "bidding process".
The roofing work is mediocre- not great. They are horrible on-site cleanup. I arrived home to find my driveway and alleyway littered with roofing nails- I had to purchase a magnetic rake to pick them up. I tried to get the salesperson Paul to get the crew back to clean up but he stated that cleanup was set for the following day which would have been Wednesday. Someone wandered into my yard that Saturday with a ridiculously small hand-magnet. I asked him to leave after a short while.
The number of nails I've pulled out of my alley, driveway, and yard following their work fills up one of those pub pretzle containers. I have not included what my neighbors on both sides of my property found on their property and sections of the alley.
I have lived on the property since 2015, but since TC Roofing was out I've had two roofing nails puncture my tires, the most recent one after TC Roofing was contracted on a garage further down the alley. I went by their driveway with the rake and picked up an additional handful of roofing nails in the alleyway.
Paul was able to work with my insurance company to pay for a new roof this year, even though I was denied a roof replacement after a storm in 2022. He answered all my questions and was very professional.
TCR was very responsive and respectful of our time. If our consultant at TCR was going to be late by ten minutes he would call me and inform me of that. I have had a great experience with TCR. A few weeks ago, I saw a large piece of shingle lying upside down on our roof on the 2nd floor. I called TCR to evaluate, and our project manager from TCR, Paul, came the next day. He determined we had wind damage on our roof. Some shingles were getting lifted up by the wind and were loose, and some edges were getting snapped off. After his inspection, he sat down with us and we had a conference call with our insurance agent and filed a claim for the roof damage. In addition, later this same day TCR sent over a service person to tarp the areas of our roof where our shingles were loose and missing. Some of our roof was exposed, so this tarping saved us from water damage from rain.
I then went through the process of having an adjuster from the insurance company inspect our roof and verify the damage. Via their assessment they unfortunately said they would only pay for about 1/3 of the roof, as they seem to think 2/3rds of the roof was fine and not damaged. Over about a 2-week period our TCR project manager Paul worked with the insurance company and was able to get the claim amount changed and the entire roof paid for. After our original joint call to the insurance company to file the claim I never had to talk with the insurance company again, as Paul did it all, which I am thankful for. I don’t know the ropes and would never have gotten it all paid for as he was able to do. I'm very thrilled and am now scheduling the new roof and look forward to the next phase of this project.
We have been very pleased working with Jake from Twin City Roofing. Jake has been very professional and knowledgeable on the process of roof/gutter replacement. He has been very attentive throughout the process and able to answer all our questions as we went. We would highly recommend him and Twin City Roofing to others.
We had Paul well nits come out to check the roof and he was the best. He explained everything in detail and made it easy for us to go with his company. We are very excited to be getting a 50 year impact resistant roof. Thank you, Paul.
My project manager, Jake, was very communitive and quick at answering any questions I had - even after hours. He was able to get me approved for a new roof and siding due to hail damage in 2022. The job was beautifully done however, the time to complete the roof to the gutters etc took a little longer than expected. Nonetheless, I was very pleased working with Jake.

As a recent (and first-generation!) homeowner, the prospect of undertaking a large and costly repair was frankly terrifying. So when we had a leak in our porch roof that clearly wasn't going to hold with the waterproof tape repair I had attempted, I gave Twin City Roofing a call based on the great reviews they had on Google.
Robb came out, crawled all over our steep roof, and determined that we did in fact have hail damage as we feared. From the start, Robb was hands-on, and even helped with getting the insurance claim started. When the adjuster came out for an appraisal, Robb came back again for the walk-through with the agent. We ended up with a work order for roof and gutter replacement, as there were other damaged areas besides the porch roof.
After the first or second day the work crew started on the roof, there was a huge thunderstorm that dumped a ton of rain on our unfinished roof. As I was frantically placing buckets on the porch to catch all the water that was now gushing in, a few of the guys on the crew showed up at the door without having been called (despite already having worked until almost 9pm that day) and climbed up on the roof during the worst part of the storm to get tarps in place! Luckily, the rest of the install was pretty uneventful, and the next heavy rain we got (complete with gigantic hailstones!) came the day after it was all finished -- and not a single drop came in the porch, or anywhere else.
If the preceeding was too long and you're skipping to the end, the short story is that our experience with Twin City Roofing and with Robb was top-shelf from beginning to end. I'd definitely recommend them, and they're on the top of the list for the next home repair we might need.
Jake O. was extremely available and responsive to questions or concerns. He remained positive and direct about steps that needed to be accomplished in order to get my house siding and roofing completed.
I highly recommend everyone stay away from TCR. TL;DR several roofing installation mistakes made, severe lack of communication from TCR throughout the entire process, and I was asked to write a review before work even began - red flag.
After getting roof replacement quotes from 5 different companies, I decided to go with the second to cheapest option - which was Twin City Roofing. And of course, I got what I paid for. The problems began after I signed the quote and handed over the deposit check. I live next to a day care and young children play outside all of the time. Paul, the project manager that was working with me, suggested they perform all of the work on the 4th of July week since kids likely wouldn’t be at the day care then. I arranged with my neighbor to not have kids there that week. A few weeks go by and I didn’t hear from Paul or anyone else at TCR. The Friday before the 4th of July week, I reached out to Paul to find out when they would be coming and he said “Next week I believe”. Then on Monday when no one arrived, I reached out to Paul again. He responded by saying he was on vacation and that Robert P. in the production office could help. I reached out to Robert and he said “I can tell you it won’t be this week.” Obviously I was unhappy that the roof wasn’t going to be replaced that week but I was more upset with the lack of communication throughout the process. It should not be on the client to have to contact the company multiple times to try to get answers. Nonetheless, when the roofers came to replace the roof on my house, garage and shed, they came unannounced. The concerning issues came from work on the roofs. The shingles on the ridge of my shed transitioned from shingles that are meant to be put on ridges to what look like starter shingles. It is very obvious this is not correct. And on my garage, there is a full 15” of a starter shingle that is literally just hanging from the edge of my roof. How did this get missed?? And the biggest issue is with the flat roofs on my house. I asked all of the appropriate questions to Paul from the outset to make sure that there would be grading on the flat roofs such that all of the water would flow to the spout and drain. Alas, a few days after the work was complete, we got our first rain storm and I saw water pooling along the edges of the flat roof and heavy pooling in one corner. I contacted TCR on July 14th and sent pictures of all of these issues. I didn’t get a response so I sent a second email on 7/20. I finally got a response from Tyler and he asked me when would be a good time the following day for him to check out my issues. I responded with a time in the morning. I then didn’t hear back from him and he did not show up the next day. I was later contacted by Robert and he said he was working on a game plan on getting my issues addressed. Five days later (7/26), he sent another email saying he would have a game plan the following day and he would let me know. As you can imagine, I did not hear from him on 7/27. I emailed Robert again on 7/28 with no response. Finally on 8/9, Tyler came out to my house to take pictures of my concerns. He agreed that all of them need to be addressed. He said he would let me know soon what the next steps would be. I have not heard from him since. I emailed Robert on 8/16 telling him Tyler came out to my house and that I was looking for more information when the fixes can occur. I have not heard from TCR since - at all. I should have known from the get go something was off because after I gave Paul the deposit check, he asked me to write a good review of his efforts to boost the company. I was certainly not going to write a review for services that had not yet begun. If you do go with TCR, make sure to pay as little as possible up front so they have to come back and fix issues before they get their full payment.
Paul was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. He did a very good job helping me with my insurance company and guiding me through the process of getting a new roof. I always knew exactly what to expect in all steps of the process from day one thanks to Paul!
I recently had a major hail storm which damaged the roof of my house. Jake reached out and set up an appointment with me, he was very prompt and very polite while working with me throughout the process. He also was very knowledgeable and gave me a lot of insight on the whole process since I am a first time homeowner. I was pleased with how the process has went and would not hesitate to refer him to somebody else.
Jake has been the best advocate for the storm repair. Very punctual and always makes the experience enjoyable and easy. Thanks for all that you do man
I contacted TCR based on a glowing referral from a family member.
They scheduled the first visit quickly. Jim arrived on time and was very friendly and professional.
Paul Wellnitz was my representative for roof replacement & other repairs in 2008. I was very satisfied with their work so have chosen them again to replace my roof & other repairs due to hail damage. Paul is very nice and helpful!
Paul came out to the house quickly to assess damage from the storm. He helped me through claim process and made me feel comfortable with next steps.
Paul W. at Twin City Roofing knows roofing! He knows how to work with insurance companies and was able to get us far more for our claim than we were anticipating. Highly recommend!
Paul was at my neighbors looking at his roof and was happy to look at mine. So easy and professional. Excited for my new roof!
Paul came on time and assessed the damage in the roof right away. He was able to explain the damage and the process for next steps clearly and helped call the insurance company to file the claim. I would recommend him.
Paul was great at assisting me with opening the claim with my insurance company and guiding me through the process. Very responsive and professional. Off to a great start! More to come...
Paul was very knowledgeable, confident, and professional. Our needs were listened to and the experience Paul and Twin City Roofing has was reassuring! Paul guided us through the process…would recommend.
I have not had my roof installed yet so this is a review on the sales process. Paul is highly knowledgeable, professional and adept at the roofing business and interfacing with the insurance company. By the way, sales can only be good if they get support. Tyler, one of the techs , was also on site for the inspection and made a significant and invaluable contribution to the insurance appraisal process. I appreciate Paul’s personal and personable touch to a process that most of us don’t like. Now looking forward to a great roof installation.
Installation day:
The sales process was wonderful. The after sale Communication however has been nonexistent and poor. After signing I heard nothing from the company for over a eeek. I called the company and asked what was up. They said they would get back to me. Nothing. I called back and still nothing. Now I am rethinking.
Got a call a few minutes ago saying materials would be delivered this afternoon and work commencing tomorrow. Wrong. Workers showed up and just started taking the old roof off first. No materials yet. Since I work from home I had to drop everything, rearrange meetings to deal with the installers. I had to ask my neighbor to move their car, etc.
My point is that as a customer I have to pay my deposit asap but when it comes to the after the sale communication and follow through they drop the ball and honestly it didn’t feel like (through their action — of lack thereof) anyone really cares at TCR.
I am sadly disappointed.
The install continues. Old shingles dropped on plants. I specifically made it a point to be careful of our landscaping only to be crushed in 30 seconds. I don’t even know what to say. My wife will be fit to be tied.
Disappointment grows and it’s only noon!
Progress
So I had a nice chat with Eddie the foreman. We had a chat about karma, honesty and integrity. He and his team work awfully hard. From a roofing perspective it is looking good, as far as I can tell. Seems Communications inside the company might not be so great. Clearly as a customer it’s a reminder that you must stay involved no matter what anyone tells you.
Looks like another day is needed. That’s ok. These guys don’t dilly dally one bit. They work hard and fast. It’s a reminder that it’s people / workers that make a company.
Roof is on.
Again poor communication rears it’s ugly head. I was suppose to get a roof vent but that was not communicated to Eddie and his crew. I had to tell him. My salesperson followed up with the office in the morning but no call yet. I think it’s installed but it’s hard to tell from the ground.
No one has followed up yet to see how the job went.
So, be sure you stay involved.
Double confirm everything.
Talk to the office and production supervisor.
Have them follow up when the job is complete
Don’t trust any roofing company regardless of what you are told.
Of course they will want their payment right away. Would I use them again??? Hmmmm. . The installers did a decent job but just know they toss shingles everywhere and anywhere. They work hard. Regarding the company as a whole? Hmmmm . Honestly not sure. They have irritated me and it seems like they are not interested good communication.
So the roof is done. As far as I can tell it looks decent however, I had a vent on my old porch roof and now it seems to be gone. I can't get an answer about what happened. They had to reduce the roof and so had to run it by the insurance company. I am not getting any information or update even though I called the office and left a message--no follow up. When the job was complete excess materials were left on my grass. Also a full (open) box of roofing nails were left on the street corner where buses stop. Plus several open clusters of nails left out. Thankfully I saw and removed them in time. A lawsuit that was avoided. Plus 6 nails in the driveway.
I hoped for better but what I got was --Average job. Average company. Poor communication and no follow up. Proceed with caution.
Paul was quickly responsive to my request for an estimate, came the next day, was informative, helpful, and I am looking forward to a new roof soon. Thanks
My project manager, Paul, did a great job of walking me through all of the steps of my roof replacement. He handled all of the discussions with my insurance company and made sure my solar panel detach and re-attach were included along with protecting my pool from any stray materials. His communication was prompt and thorough and his crew did a great job knocking out my entire project in just one day. I wouldn't hesitate to go with Twin City Roofing again.
Had roof damage from a hail storm. Called Twin City Roofing just to have the roof inspected. Jake O. got me a complete roof replacement, new gutters, downspouts and some window moulding through my insurance. Jake did all of the back and forth with my insurance. I barely had to deal with insurance at all. Jake's communication with me has been fantastic. The roofing crew did a really nice job. Roof looks great. Lines are straight. Nothing leaks. Asked them to match the shed shingles to the house. The shed looks as good as the house. The roofing crew did an amazing cleanup job when done. You couldn't even tell they were here other than a new roof.
Based upon the roofing job, I would definitely hire these guys again and will recommend them to anyone that needs a new roof.
I also needed a chimney repair. Jake recommended "Bricks & Stone Masonry" out of Stacy. Carlos (owner) does beautiful work. I will post a review for them as well.
(Gutters and trim are not up yet, I will update after it is complete.)
Mackinzie did a great job managing our roof replacement. They came out for the initial inspection, showed up when the insurance adjuster came, and was there on the job when the crew replaced everything in one day. She was communicative and helped answer my questions. They worked with me on adjusting the estimate for a couple of things I didn’t want replaced and it worked out with insurance so I did t have to pay anything out of pocket.
They also use a high quality malarkey 40+ year shingle that is class 4 (hailproof), which is terrible for repeat business but great for me and the environment.
Thanks.
Hate to give 2 stars. Everything was perfect, quick and efficient service, even let us dump some old shelves in their dumpster, above and beyond. I wasn’t even mad they collected my money before informing me I’d have to wait until the following spring to have the repairs done. Then when the billing process started things fell apart. I’ve been waiting for my final invoice for weeks, (the entire process was started a year ago.) They just kept saying it’s processing and will get to me shortly, turns out they were missing info from my insurance rep. Instead of following up and getting the missing information they just left me in limbo. Then when I figured out the issue for them they asked ME to follow up with my insurance rather than calling themselves. Do your job, I’m literally just trying to pay you what you are owed. Very frustrating.
Thank you so very much for the fine job you did with reroofing my daughter's home and trecommendation for the ventilation for the 2nd story. Paul was Al was fabulous and we're very very happy and pleased. Yeah ventilation is never was never like that c*** when the house was purchased and it's phenomenal made all the difference in the world. Thanks again.
I had class 4 impact resistance shingles with new decking put on my house and garage.
Plus new gutters and downspouts.
And also attic venting installation which makes for a cooler house.
Now I have a showcase roof on my house and my garage.
The color of the shingles looks great and compliments the house color.
Paul Wellnitz, the project manager, did an excellent job of walking the project thru from first contact with Twin Cities Roofing to completion of the project.
The roofing crew was the best. I can not say enough good things about the work they all did.
Paul came to do the estimate and made me extremely comfortable that he had the experience to make the process of fixing my roof as painless as possible. I would highly recommend them for projects like this.
My go to guy was/is Jake Giller he was beyond amazing, he was early every time, he did exactly what he said he was going to do!
He was attentive to my needs, went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and I’m very particular, he met all my requirements!
I would recommend this company and this guy Jake !
The crew that did the work at my house
Was the best out there, they worked fast hard and they didnt leave behind not one nail or shingle, they cleaned up better then what is was. Highly recommended!
Replaced the roof on my house after hail damage. They did a terrific job negotiating with my insurance company, and although it took a while to schedule due to the number of roofs in my neighborhood that needed to be replaced they did a great job in a short amount of time. I would recommend them.
We were very pleased working with Paul. He was very knowledgeable about the product and services. He was patient and helped us to get all of claim information organized. Thanks so much Paul!
Jake was our project manager and he was awesome! He returned calls and kept us informed. We love our new roof, gutters and skylights.Thank you Jake!
Paul is amazing! He roofed our home 4 years ago. Did repairs for us before that. And just arrived the day after a major hail storm to assess the damage from that storm. Thanks Paul!!!
