Trico, and specifically, Katelyn helped me navigate the very painful warranty claim process with GAF -- the manufacturer of the roof tiles. Took over 8 months but we got there. As to the job of roofing they also get 5 stars. Crew showed up on time and worked literally a full day finishing in one day. After service has been excellent with Rusty and Travis patiently educating me on the finer points of roofing.

We had a leak during TS Debbie, and they sent someone out right away and caulked up to keep it from leaking more until roof could be replaced. Roof was replaced in one day, and we feel more at ease now having to deal with our SC weather.

On time, organized, helpful with issues we were unaware of, no upselling, guys were great working, cleaned up with no issues, no flat tires, helpful through the entire process….this is our second roof on our second house, will continue to use them for any storm or general wear and tear issues!

Fast service and repairs done quickly for veteran that wanted flashing done for a home. Called next day had it done. I would not recommend anybody else in the Tri-County area for roofing.

What a great company! After Hurricane Ian, I called TriCo and I expected to have to wait for an appointment - not so! "Rusty" took the call and then he came to our home today (even arriving early) which was great! His inspection was excellent and he is obviously very knowledgeable and professional. I trust him and his advice! I know that I called the right company and got the best person!

Highly recommended! Matthew Clark at TriCo provided thorough detail in his estimate, indicated what he thought was necessary and what, in his opinion, wasn't, then showed up on the expected date and time. I appreciated the pictures of the completed work since it's obviously hard to look at myself. All around a great company to work with--particularly around Mount Pleasant where it can be a challenge to get reliable, responsive help.

First we had a to have the new roof finished in 10 days and Trico did it complete in 7. Matt Clark was special in making that happen and he promised Trico would give us a great install. Ryan and the crew had me smiling from ear to ear when I saw the house. What a absolute Great job. Ps The property was so clean I couldn't even find one of the old roofing nails. With contractors, you never know how your project is going to take course and what the finished product will look like. Our screened-in porch roof was no exception. We had a leak and were in desperate need of a repair. We took a chance with TriCo after reading through some reviews. I am pleased to announce TriCo met and exceeded our expectations.

JJ gave us a fair quote for the expected repair. There were a few bumps and hiccups along the way. Rain delays, job extensions, etc. But the men installing the new cap on our porch and re-siding our chimney were true craftsmen, working hard to ensure each cut was the right fit (yeah, I watched). I knew this crew was laser-focused on their art because at the end of each day they would inspect the day's progress and walk off the site looking exhausted, yet quietly pleased. On the paperwork side sits Rhonda, who will help you in the most friendly way anyone could. Josh, thank you as well for ensuring the right crew was in the right place. - It's a special thing, delivering a roof that will cover another person's head, where they sleep and play.

Overall, whenever hiring anyone to provide a service for you, remember there are a lot of unseen costs and what matters most is the finished product and how you, the customer, were ultimately treated. I am very pleased with our roof repair and how we were treated. Now some of our windows, those might need replacing next...

I can not praise JJ Outten and his team enough. Starting with the inspection and quote to the final product I had a very positive experience. I was very pleased that my roof install had an on-site supervisor, Mike, who was very professional and transparent with the entire process. The crew that installed the roof was top notch. I was pleasantly surprised at the crew’s attention to detail. Even when we ran into a problem, it was quickly identified, options presented and a quick solution was reached with my approval. An additional job sight supervisor, Josh, went the extra mile to quickly obtain the needed materials to complete the job on schedule. I was concerned about the typical mess with the job, but when it was completed the only evidence anyone was here...was my beautiful new roof. The crew was just fantastic.
I did have several other companies inspect and quote me for the job. While TriCo was more expensive, I felt the honesty and integrity of the companies history, reviews, and professionalism of JJ is what won my business. You definitely get what you pay for, and in the Low Country when it comes to a roof you just can’t split hairs. I have confidently referred several neighbors and even my mailman who was very impressed.
There will never be another choice when it comes to my homes exterior needs.

Would be zero stars but that wasn't an option. I was told my roof work would be done 2 weeks from the time I gave them the check. Guess what they cashed the check and still haven't scheduled me and it's been 2 weeks. I called them and they told me another 3 weeks before they would do the work. I asked for my money back and the lady said the contract doesn't allow that. Typical sorry contractor I will never use them again.

Update: They showed up and we had no clue they were doing the work til I drove past my house for lunch and saw a bunch of missing shingles.(Phone calls are difficult apparently). A few days later I got a bill for an extra $135 for one sheet of extra plywood. They called me and asked for the remaining balance.(Phone calls are easy when they benefit Trico) If use them don't say I didn't warn you.

Poor communication, high cost.

I have to agree with another reviewer. The customer service after they get paid is awful. Seemed like I was calling weekly just to get someone to call me. And to think, my neighbors used them because of me. My siding fell down with the 1st high wind. It was only up for about 6 months up. I called AGAIN today and was promised a call back. Guess I'll see. Not going to help much since I no longer trust what I'm told.

I hired TriCo Exteriors to do a total roof replacement. From the very first contact this company was professional, courteous, responsive, and did an outstanding job. I received quotes from several companies and while TriCo was not the least expensive, I am glad I made the decision to hire this group of professionals. After down payment was made, within the week a crew arrived and removed the old roof and completed 95% of the reroof in one day! I like the fact that a foreman was on site all day monitoring the work. My dealings with Jay, Josh, Eric and the office staff were top notch. I have hired a lot of contractors in my life and dealt with up-charges, lazy workmanship, and poor quality on the job. That is not the case with TriCo! I highly recommend!

Jay fit me into his schedule on a Friday afternoon despite having a busy schedule. Was very polite and professional. I was referred to Tri County by a friend and would definitely pass them along myself.

Its very hard to find good contractors in this state. Most don't respond, give you ridiculous estimates or do shotty work. TriCo was a fantastic company to work with. 1200sqft home was stripped, repaired and replaced all in one day. The foreman kept in touch throughout the day to let me know how the job was going. There were no hidden cost and they Never tried to play the game "we found more damage than expected." I definitely recommend them for your roofing needs.

This experience started out great but ended up not as good as it should have been. Another example of sales first, customer satisfaction second. The exterior and roof are great. The only issues I had were the job foreman (Josh)hanging up on me twice while we were talking then when putting up my antenna, letting it fall to the ground and get smashed up. It was an accident but I expect a better response than ‘Well, what would you like me to do?’ and ‘Don’t you have cable?’ It’s a shame because they did come out and fix a leak for free which is why I ended up hiring them for an expensive job. After having the same conversation and no offer other than to put back up my busted antenna in a few days, I just said to forget it. Other than the poor customer service and property damage by Josh, and the ‘What would like me to do?’ response by the manager, after I paid in full, everything was great.

If you are looking for a great roofing company please give these guys a call! I called in to have a repair done on my roof after a home inspection. Christy who answered the phone was so nice and took my information to have someone reach out to me. Within 5 minutes Ryan called me, he stopped by my house to take a look. He actually found issues that the inspector missed! He sent over an estimate within 30 minutes and had me scheduled for the very next morning! He was professional, thorough, and prompt. I was very impressed with the sales rep that came out, he really knew what he was talking about. We waited quite a while for our house to get on the schedule which was fine, I understand that. However, during our project time we have had no communication whatsoever. Our porch was left a mess from the siding repairs, and the project was left half painted (and messy in some places). I’ve already received a bill and I’m still waiting to hear back about when they will come finish. I’m very frustrated about how much I am paying and for the quality of service we received. I won’t be using this company again.

We had an insurance claim for a severely leaking roof brought on by storm damage. Trey promptly came out, gave us an estimate and after getting recommendations from two other people to use them decided we'd have them do the replacement. All their staff, from office administrators, job foremen and roof crew were extremely professional. Jeremy ran the day-to-day operations at our house and explained everything to us, and was a pleasure to work with. The roof crew was...EXTRAORDINARY. The men who scraped and replaced our roof were so hard-working that what we thought would take 3 days (we have a 3,000 square foot, split-level home) only took 1.5 days (AND we had a rain in the middle of the job). They worked a 12+ hour day the first day and the second day just had to wrap up and clean up the place. The roof is GORGEOUS and they went above and beyond with their clean up, which was important because we have an outside dog and a horse. My husband and I are so very pleased with the quality of work, the professionalism and the hard-working crew deserves a bonus! Thank you Tri-County. I'd say we'll use you again, but the roof has a 50-year warranty, so I'll refer you to all my friends instead! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Recently I used Tri County Roofing to replace a roof that was damaged by a hurricane. I was thoroughly pleased with the quality, communication, and workmanship of the company. This was the fifth roof that they've done for me- three complex commercial roofs, and two rather straightforward asphalt roofs. I've always been impressed throughout their process and happy with the end result.

Dented my brand new dryer while getting into crawl space and refused to repair it. That is after not finding were my leak came from. Seemed very nice but no accountability for actions in my home. The visit with no repairs made actually caused me more repairs.
Do not recommend this company.

Call multiple times to get a quote over two months only to find they were not even calling my phone number (I gave my number when I asked for the quote) finally comes out and seems like a nice guy who knows what he is talking about, say I'll have a quote in a day or two. I start calling on day three wondering where is the quote, no response. I finally get the quote and it's beyond absurd. Mind you I have already priced out the materials so I know how much they cost. And by no means am I saying a company should not make a profit, but this quote was so far into the obscene I was actually insulted. It was obvious they did not want the job and we're just throwing a number out so I would go away.

I am very pleased with the workmanship of this company. They arrived at 730am sharp
And went to work. And all was cleaned up.
Again I am happy with there service.

We are still pending our roof replacement, but so far have loved working with them after numerous no call backs after Hurricane Dorian. Will update after work is complete.

I had a wonderful experience with TriCounty Roofing. Mat came out and did an assessment of my roof. He ruled out a leak I was concerned about, sealed up a potential issue and gave me a educated opinion on when I may need to look at a roof replacement a few YEARS down the road. I appreciated the honestly and professionalism of a caring business.

Butch with Tri County Roofing gave us an honest report from our roof inspection. I really like that he took pictures of the entire roof so we could see the areas of concern. We will definitely use Tri County Roofing again for all of our roofing needs.

From the initial visit to the clean up Tri County Roofing really had their act together. Everything about the roof we needed was explained in detail with no pressure. Everyone was very professional. I reached out to Ryan at Tri-county Roofing and he came out to give me an estimate the same day. He came back the next day and addressed the issues and provided pictures of the repairs. Good pricing and fast and friendly service. I highly recommend.

Great experience throughout the whole process. My roof was repair completed in early 2019. There are too many good things to say...so to keep it brief I put everything sections.

Company representative: I was looking for a roofing company to assess my roof for damage from a hail storm in May 2018 and my neighbor provided me Matthew Clark's name and I am happy to say I'm glad I called him. Mr. Clark was professional and more importantly (to me) personable. I did not feel I was just another sales quota. Matt went over the process for getting my roof fixed, described the products his company uses and worked with me in getting what I needed to submit my insurance claim. There are a lot of characteristics I look for when dealing with sales people and that's honesty which leads to trust. I felt Matthew dealt with me honestly so I trusted him to treat me right.

Office staff: Great to work with and very responsive. Christy and her team provided follow up calls to what to expect next and provided the forms I needed to close out my insurance claim.

Site team: Jeremy and his team did a terrific job in replacing my roof. What caught my attention was that the team was expected to finish in one day but since it was getting dark they elected to finish the next morning so they wouldn't miss anything. I'd say that's exceptional to know that they wanted to do the job right and take the extra time.

I cannot thank Matthew and Tri County Roofing enough for the excellent work they did on my roof. I'm thinking about getting gutters and will be calling Tri Roofing when I'm ready to pull the trigger.

I met Butch Floyd at a Home Expo at Sun City HH in March 2019.
With a new home built, I figured I was not in need of a Roofing company.
Butch, then offered his expertise to come over and inspect my new roof.
He provided a very detailed report that addressed both the good workmanship along with some other potential areas of concern. I was able to forward this Inspection report to my builder and get these items taken care of. Very professional and nice guy to work with.

First of all, i contacted this company from a mailer; I didnt know what to expect. To my delight, the contractor came and gave me a quote. I searched for a lower price , but I couldnt find a lower price. To my delight the contractor remembered me and gave me the same quote he gave me months ago! They were very professional and fast. They cleaned up any debris or nails. I asked how do you know if you got all the nails? He said:”we use a magnet.” Very impressed! Sent email through website for a quote. got a call back a few days later and set up an appointment for the quote. rep never showed, never called. wouldn't hire this place if you paid me. this is indicative of the service one can expect. chasing down contractors to actually take a paying job. i don't chase people to pay them to do a job. Tri county replaced our roof a couple weeks ago. Our older home had 2 layers of shingles on it that had to come off. They did really nice job. It only took 2 days to complete.
After they were done they cleaned up exceptionally well. Didn’t leave a nail in the yard.

They also completed a repair in another house I have next door .
I would highly recommend them.

FACT: To All individuals purchasing a home here in Charleston from a national builder. These builders do not have your best interest because they use the lowest quality building materials and mark up those costs on the price of your home. Ok, so now that I got that bit of business out of the way, let’s fast forward to early October 2017, which was nearly 11 ½ years after buying my house. I had called upon Tri County Roofing because the front porch on my house was leaking. Micah came over and inspected and quoted me a price to fix the leak and replace the roof on the front porch, but then after discussing it a bit more, I decided to discuss complete roof replacement because of the sub standard & low quality roofing materials used when my home was built. It was a no-brainer to move forward with the complete roof replacement. Not only was my house going to be fitted with a much sturdier and much higher quality “architectural design” (mildew-resistent) shingle, but the work came with it a 10 year workmanship warranty from Tri-County, as well as a 50 year warranty on the shingles from GAF. Like I mentioned above, it’s a shame that the average homeowner actually has to invest more money after the house has been purchased to get a quality roof job or any other major expense for that matter. During the process, Micah and members of the office kept in contact with me on the progress of when the roofing job would occur and when they’d be arriving. Donald was overseeing the project the day of and did an excellent job of keeping me up to date on how the job was progressing. The crew that came to replace my roof was very professional and efficient. As a business owner myself, I live and die by online reviews and it was the positive reviews on Google that got me to pick up the phone and call Tri County Roofing and I am so glad I did. I have a beautiful new roof that has an incredible warranty on it. It looks like Tri County might just have some more roofing jobs in my neighborhood! I strongly recommend Tri-County Roofing.

Very professional and knowledgeable! Response was quick; They came out the day after I called, thoroughly examined the roof, inside and out, explained the problem, answered all of my questions and gave me quotes. Very honest and upfront with everything. Roof was repaired several days later. Highly recommend this company!

Absolutely wonderful people and superior workmanship. After we suffered damage to our roof and interior ceiling, we decided to have the roof replaced and the damage to the interior fixed. We met with Rusty for the estimate and color selection, as well as financing and warranty issues. Everything was taken care of during the visit, we ordered the shingles, secured financing, wrote insurance documentation, etc. Everything went as explained and on schedule. The roofing crew was extremely professional and made the extra effort to make sure the entire area was clean and looking better than when they started. The interior work was amazing! We were expecting it to take a couple of days with the drywall taping, popcorn spray, etc. The team arrived at 3:00 as scheduled and were done by 5:00. We went into the room to check out the progress and was blown away when we saw the ceiling completely finished...just like it never happened.
They have my highest recommendation, bar none.

This company is the BEST so forget the rest! Really. I got 6 bids and they offered the best bang for the buck. First they are a GAF Master Elite Contractor which means I have a 60 yr. warranty on the roofing shingles and a 20 yr. warranty on workmanship (and yes I have that in writing). I also got a $250 military rebate from GAF Timberline because Tri County uses their products. The crew they used was absolutely amazing! Truew professionals who weren't in a rush and paid attention to details (like cleaning all the nails from my gutter, taking care of my shrubs and grass, etc.). They have on site supervisor (Dan) who was awesome and kept me informed (twice a day for two days) during the job. I was offered to opportunity to inspect the work after completed. Also, Mark (the top dog supervisor) comes out when the job is over and looks it over. Sure enough, he found one small detail he wasn't happy with and him, Dan and another guy spent a couple hours adjusting it.

I am telling you that before you use one of the fly by night guys that drive around and want you to sign an open ended contract, give Tri County a call and get a bid from them. They weren't the lowest or the highest bid; about middle of the pack of six contractor bids.

Trust me, I wouldn't spend this much time if I wasn't that pleased with their work!

Update: In March 2018 we needed two minor adjustment on some roofing trim in front of house and around a gutter. Called one day and next day JJ Outen called me back. In less than a week he was out to make the adjustment. Talk about customer service and standing behind your craftsmanship, well these folks are superb!

Good Service and great work. The project manager JJ Outen was polite courteous and efficent. The estimate was accurate and the work was completed in a timely manner. I would reccomend this company to anyone needing to reshingle their home.

My project was to re-roof my 3 bay home workshop and roof my poolside fire pit cabana.

I am very pleased with the quoted price, their workmanship/cleanup, and their speed of delivery.

Their quote detailed exactly the work to be performed as I requested in my bid request without trying sell other products.

They also kept me informed as to when delivery of shingles would occur and when the work would start.

It was very easy and enjoyable working with them.

I called Tricounty roofing and had a quick response from one of their estimators on a project I was doing. Butch Floyd met me on a Saturday morning to do an emergency repair on the building. He completed the repair and did not charge me for it. I will definitely call them again for my upcoming projects and will be glad to recommend them to anyone.

Tri County Roofing is a great company, and we will never use another for our roofing or window needs. We had all of our windows replaced a couple years ago by them and now our roof after Matthew blew off a bunch of shingles. Rusty came out and met with the insurance adjuster, and they handled everything. The guys worked almost non stop for a day and a half and the roof looks great! You can tell the difference with their quality of work.

Punctual and professional. The technician who completed the work on my roof did in perfect timing and explained what he did and why.

I have waited over a year for a install problem to be corrected, I have called several times and still no solution. The nessary materials were dropped off but still repair has not been done.

It’s going on 7 months since I wrote this review, and I’m still waiting on the problem to be corrected. To the credit of the company they did come out and look at the issue and promised to fit it. I was then contacted on June 29th and they wanted to come that day to fix the install problem, but I was out of town and could not accept the repair that day. As of December 15th still have not heard anything from the company as to when the INSTALL PROBELM will be corrected. So, as of now my rating is still below 1 star if I could rate it that low.
