Trek Bicycle Williamsburg

I was helped buy Elizabeth Martin. She was perfect. She understood my issue 100% and was very knowledgeable. She also did a wonderful job installing the rim I ordered. I will go back because of her. Also she infromed me about my next possible upgrades. You have a customer for life.

I have recently purchased a Trek electric bike and it has been a tremendous game changer in my riding…simply amazing. It has allowed me to bike and exercise for longer periods of time.

The culmination of our working-class spring break was an attempt at the Virginia Capitol Trail, which stretches 52 miles from Richmond to historic Jamestown. For the first few days we stayed in inexpensive hotels by night, and rode our bikes on rail trails by day: 23 miles on the Old Dominion, 25 on the Highbridge Trail, 21 toodling around Richmond and scouting as far as Varina. On day four we jettisoned the car in Varina and set out for Jamestown.

We got most of the way there before the first spoke on our freebie tandem gave out. I field-trued it, warning my girlfriend & 11-year-old son that we might lose more before the trip was over. If we did, we were dead in the water; so we had to get the spoke replaced in Williamsburg.

Sure enough, as we pulled into downtown Williamsburg more started to go. We contemplated walking to the hotel, but I let out the brake and took it slow, as we wobbled across town. Carless and without the tandem, I strapped the failing wheel to the back of my girlfriend's rented e-bike and struck out for the nearest bike shop. Conte's was willing to consider the (admittedly last-minute, emergency) job, but they eventually failed, and tried to sell me a $250+ wheel, instead.

The next (and only remaining) shop was Trek. As I spoke to Chris from his competitors showroom, I took heart. Chris wasn't sure he could do a full rebuild in so little time, but he was willing to try. He even contemplated loaning us one of his wheels, from home, to get us back to Richmond and buy us time. What a guy!

In the end, he fixed our wheel, and we were back on the road in time to finish the ride and return the rented e-bike. Daily spring break mileage: 23-25-21-58-49 (not counting e-bike runs to & fro with the wheel).

My experience at Conte's was weird, and I honestly don't know if they were trying to help me, get rid of me, or flim-flam me. What I can say about Trek, is that when they had me completely over a barrel, they bent over backwards to help out, and then they sent me off with parts and labor at a drastic discount in recognition of the fact that I was in a bind.

I appreciate that empathy, generosity, and comradeship so much! If I were buying a bike or exploring repairs I would go to these guys, because they are good people, and also... because what they are willing to do practically for free is probably a fantastic indicator of the level of service they will deliver to their paying customers.

We bought our bikes here a couple of years ago, and we are always very impressed with the friendliness, service, and skills of the staff. Doing business with Trek brings us back there, time after time.

I have an older bike and got a tune up, with new brake pads, new brake lines, and new tires. It turned out WONDERFULLY! The mechanic we dropped it off with was extremely knowledgeable, he seemed more like a bike doctor! He showed us what it needed and why, comparing my worn parts with new parts he had in the shop. It was completed quickly, about a week, and it feels like a brand new bike. Thank you so much! Would definitely recommend do anyone!

Top notch customer service! The shop staff bent over backwards to help me, gave great advice, and even encouraged and commiserated with me when I shared my inexperience how I broke my bike.
If only all bike shops were like this!!

While on vacation, I had a problem w my bike. David and Michael the technician were outstanding and diagnosed and fixed the problem in a few hours.
David explained what the issue was and how they fixed it. Trek will cover under warranty which is even better.

My wife and I went in just to "look". We ended up putting down a deposit on two bikes and a bike rack. We had to order my bike, as they didn't have one there my size. (They had one for my wife) So it should have been there on Tuesday. We drove down, 4 hours, to pick it up on Thursday. Well it never showed up. David stayed in contact the whole time. What they ended up doing was offering to drive an hour one way to a different store to get the bike I wanted in a different color. I accepted and they did. By the time we got there the bike was ready to be fitted. We worked with David some but mostly Chris. Both super friendly and helpful. They put the rack together, set the bikes up, mounted the rack, and put the bikes on. I would definitely recommend this bike store and Chris and David. And I know if I need help with anything, they would be there for us. Thanks guys!

Manager Chris’s Hoffman and all of his crew are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and have always been able to resolve any issue I’ve had. They’ve offered great advice on bike purchases and have brought creative solutions to issues. I’ve been a long time customer for a reason and would recommend their shop to anyone seeking quality service and equipment!

I can not be happier with my new road bike which I got at Trek of Williamsburg. I am also extremely pleased, and indeed grateful, for the quality of service I receive whenever I visit the store. It is truly a pleasure to do business with their staff.

For years, I’ve had the best experience dealing with the folks at Trek Bicycle Williamsburg. Bought two bikes there, maintained 3 bikes through them. They provide superior service. I’ve dabbled in doing some maintenance/tuning on my own and the folks at Trek Bicycle Williamsburg have always been generous with their input, collaboration and advice. You can’t get that level of attention online!

Love this bike store. Just bought a new Madone SL7 Gen 8 mostly becouse of David’s recommendations, but all staff are very helpful and always happy to assist.

This bike store was amazing, the sales person (Elizabeth M) was amazing! We bought a 20 inch kid's Trek bike and these bikes are definitely more superior than others on the market. If you're looking for a good and reliable bike, this is the place to go!

I wish I could double review. This is the only bike store I could find that would help me with my particular issue and they’ve done so twice now without hesitation. I called local bike shops (even my local Trek) and was pretty much blown off. Chris did not hesitate to take a look at my issue but also resolve it and send me off with some tips to maintain! I am so grateful to have found this place!

Have visited the store a few times. One for a scheduled maintenance. The other times have been spur of the moment. Staff are excellent. Latest visit was for a light replacement that turned into new grips. Technician was kind enough to change the grips while bikes were on our vehicle’s bike rack and pulled up to their back door! The best service possible and changed the light.

We recently visited Trek Store Williamsburg to purchase a mountain bike, and We couldn’t be happier with the experience! Betsy was fantastic—she was knowledgeable, patient, and really took the time to help us find the perfect bike that met our needs. She answered all of our questions and made sure we felt confident in our choice. The bike itself is amazing, and Betsy even helped us with some great accessories to make the most of our rides.

Love this store. Have had great experiences every time we visit the store. (We are from PA). Yesterday we stopped in for replacement cleats and new cycling shoes. Received excellent service and we left the store with new shoes which I tried out today and loved! ! Thanks again.

Staff was really helpful, but the repair service is a ripoff, I had a bike that was in rough shape due to being stored outside and not used for a while. The chain and brake cables needed to be obviously replaced, but I was told that the brake pads were worn and I had to get them replaced when they were barely worn. I took it to another shop to get it fixed for less than half the price they offered.

The staff was very friendly. I was looking for cycling shoes and they had some on sale on the table. I got my foot measured and found a nice pair of shoes. The shoes felt great on my feet. They even installed my cleats for me. My experience was great. I will definitely be back.Top notch customer service. Thanks again!

Elizabeth assisted me in picking my bike and accessories I wanted on it. The experience with her assistance exceeded all expectations. And she delivered it at the end of the day, since we live in the same neighborhood.

Trek Bicycle Williamsburg went out of their way to obtain both a medium and a large Verve 3 Lowstep Gen 5 for me to test ride. I felt more comfortable on the medium size bike and bought that. I am 5’9” tall and right on the line between medium and large sizes. Thanks for helping me to choose the proper size!

We bought the whole family bikes from here in 2022. They delivered them on Christmas Eve so we could surprise the kids. First class service all the way. Today I had to take my son’s bike in to fix the chain and it was another perfect experience. Kind, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. A truly great shop.

They are the best! I’m in a wheelchair they go above and beyond to help me get back wheeling as quickly as they can!

Betsy was kind and answered my questions, when I returned David Ray worked hard and diligently to find me a bike that would put me on the road while remaining in my budget. Best bicycle shop I have ever used. The staff personnel are super friendly and expertly trained. My experience with Kevin was especially memorable. He gave me a complete description of what was needed, then assured I was completely satisfied. I must drive an hour to get to the Williamsburg store, but would never even consider going anywhere else.

I have a bike that has probably 30,000 miles on it. (Trans America ride and a lot of long training rides) and had Trek do a maintenance/repair package on it. Both Kevin and Michael went above and beyond taking care of my beast. "Good enough" is not one of their core values. Thank you guys!!

The attention to the public is excellent. They are very friendly and have a wide variety of services for bikes of all brands. You can from repairing a wheel to buying a hybrid bike.

Trek's 24-hour service is one of the best in the business. I've taken several of my bikes to them for their level 2 service and have not been disappointed with the service they provide.

This is a great shop! I had a minor mechanical which prevented me from riding — they quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and would not charge me. The were very friendly and polite. And the fix worked! Thanks to the staff for their help.

The store has been completely transformed into an amazing, outstanding customer service oriented, store! But not only that the manager and employees are top-notch, and no their bicycles and bicycling as professionals, very down to earth, kind, helpful people! I cannot say enough about how much I have enjoyed visiting the store Since last summer! It has always been an outstanding experience. The former crowd that was in the store, including the manager, were not very friendly and helpful, to be clear, they were the exact opposite of what the store has become over the last eight months. I’ve been telling people that I know or avid cyclist in the area and many of them had already been to the store and are saying the same things that I am saying in this feedback. Thank you so very much Chris Hoffman for working with your people and helping them to become the best trick sales associates who are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their product! These people made you feel good to spend money in here! Unfortunately, the store is losing. It’s amazing Manager in Chris Hoffman . I don’t know if they’ll ever be able to replace him with someone of the same caliber, knowledge, and appreciation for their customers and value their employees.

I always feel known and valued whenever I visit Trek! The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I have been so pleased with my Trek FX2 - it is the best bike I have ever owned.

David Ray provided good insight and knowledge to suggest adjustments to the tires and seat post to my recently purchased Domane SL7. He provide the attention to me for to address my needs and different options using his personal experience as well as my desired outcome to get a good result on the changes to the bike.
