We are extremely happy with the kitchen refacing we had done this summer. From start to finish we had a great experience. They always had our best interest in mind, and the quality of work is outstanding. We waited 10 years and found The Window Store and More at the 2025 Home Show. We changed the layout and color and increased the storage in our kitchen. Thank you to the crew at The Window Store and More for all of the work and time you spent making our kitchen great.
I am writing this review on behalf of my parents, who had them replace all their windows. They were timely and professional. They cleaned up everything after they left. The one window had a crack upon delivery, and they will replace it free of charge. All around great experience.
I recently had the pleasure of working with The Window Store and More for a home improvement project, and I couldn't be happier with the results! From the moment I contacted them, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to my needs.
I had new windows installed throughout my home, and the difference in energy efficiency and aesthetics is remarkable. The installation process was smooth and efficient, and the crew left my home spotless.
In addition to the windows, I also requested an estimate for my kitchen cabinets. The design suggestions they provided were perfect, and once the project is completed, my kitchen will feel inviting and modern.
I highly recommend The Window Store and More to anyone looking for quality home improvement services. Their commitment to customer satisfaction and craftsmanship truly sets them apart from the rest. Thank you for transforming my home!
Installers Bill and Josh went above and beyond on a very difficult front door replacement on my 125 year old home. I felt they had my back during some difficult choices on how to proceed and cut tile back that was in the way. Very friendly installers. Just make sure whoever comes to do initial measurements takes in account the unique aspects of your home. But these 2 made it happen!
10 STARS!!! We had our roof done and it is beautiful. From the gentleman who rang my doorbell, to the lady who called to welcome us to the "family", to the roofing expert who gave us a GREAT estimate, and the crew who did the spectacular work. EVERYONE was friendly, kind, and above all professional. I had had 4 other estimates and while The Window Store wasn't the cheapest, they were the obvious best. They worked with us regarding our budget and made it happen. I really feel like we are part of the "family". I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Window Store and More! In fact, they were so great we are having them do our windows next!!! We can't wait! We're going to have the best house in our neighborhood. Thank you Window Store and More!!!!
From customer service to supplied products to installation to function, we’re very pleased with the results of our kitchen and laundry room cabinet refacing project by The Window Store & More. Here’s why ...
Communication: The operation team’s responsiveness regarding questions/concerns was timely, even when we were personally dealing with the outside countertop supplier. To us, this showed accountability and pride in the overall final project, not just their part of it. Also, the project started within the anticipated window they said it would from time of sale (2–3 months). Another positive was they gave us a one-month advanced notice of the scheduled project so we had plenty of time to empty the cabinets and drawers; plus, the project started on the exact date/time they told us it would, without any delays!
Quality control: Before starting renovation, the installer double checked that all product was delivered and correct, including the color—and it was—making for a great first impression and kick-off to the installation experience.
Craftsmanship: The materials and build of the products are quality. The drawer and cabinet facings, and in-cabinet maple pullout drawers are solid; and the door and drawer hardware is high quality, operates smoothly, and will seemingly have an extended life.
Attention to detail: The installer took great pride in his workmanship and in the finished project, not only from a beautification standpoint but functionally too. And he thoroughly cleaned up the job site at the end of each work day.
Ease of working with: No remodeling project is perfect, but this one had minimal issues. The installer addressed concerns about fitment and finishing in real time, confirming preferences and finishing options. One example was we weren’t previously made aware of how the new depth of the corner drawer facings and hardware would affect the ability to open them and function, but working with the installer we came up with a plan that facilitated operation as well as looked pleasing. Generally, we had minimum disruption to our working kitchen and laundry areas during the week-long project. And, the company offered multiple ways to finance the project.
The only downsides to our experience were that it would have been nice to have more detailed order sheets from the initial sale, listing the number of doors, drawer faces, pullout drawers and for which cabinets, and the like. Also at the time of sale, it would have been beneficial to see the aftermarket products like the spice racks and lazy Susan. We’re not disappointed in the quality of the products, but we may have made different decisions about them functionally.
Working with The Window Store & More was an overall pleasant experience, we’re very happy with the results, and would recommend using this company to anyone wanting to update the look and functionality of their cabinets.
Very unprofessional the man that installed my windows was walking around shirtless, then come to find out the one of the windows was not installed properly. A very big gap at the top was visible and we had a very high heating bill throughout winter !! Then finally had 2 other men come and check the window said they were surprised that my window had NOT fallen out ..
Told me they would be here on a specific day , I called him he hung up , I texted him he saw my text and still had not responded..
Very very unprofessional for what I paid!!
Our experience with Michelle the Manager of Operations and our installer Rob was great. We love the end product. Our only complaint was the sales person promised more than what is included in the quote. Be sure to have everything in writing and it should go well.
This group was incredibly refreshing to work with. What seemed to be a simple kitchen refacing project ended up being a new window and siding project that we were thrilled to work through with the company. The Window Store and More kept everything VERY friendly and VERY time-conducive to our schedule. We highly recommend this company as we felt very comfortable with everyone involved. Great work!
We upgraded our kitchen cabinets. The cabinets look great and
the workmanship provided by Rob and Jeff was outstanding. We highly recommend them. Our sales rep, Jer, fully explained the process and was always available to answer our questions.
When replacing our home’s original (1937!) 1st floor windows, we wanted superior replacements that were easy to use, easy to maintain, and secure for our family. Beyond that, our seasonally-focused window concern was on energy savings, as our previous windows leaked terribly during winter months. The Window Company delivered on all — additionally making the ordering streamlined and installation hassle-free. We noticed quickly the heat retention in the colder winter temps. Both aesthetically and practically we are happy with our order, and are excited to move onto other floors of our home.
I couldn't be happier with my kitchen reface project. Originally, I planned to get new cabinets, but I am so glad I went this route instead. I got a new kitchen with only two weeks of downtime - one for the counters and appliances and the other for the reface project. The Window Store had so many more options available than I expected which makes my kitchen way more usable and updated. The high-quality, fully pull-out drawers with soft close are a game changer along with the pull-out drawers added in the lower cabinets. In addition, they removed the '70s desk and built me a new cabinet that blends seamlessly with the rest of the kitchen. The quality and craftsmanship of the installation was excellent. Every employee I worked with went above and beyond what I expected to answer questions and help me solve problems.
We found The Window Store Inc while at the home improvement show. We loved the quality of their product and choices in refacing our failing cabinets and drawers. Not only did the refacing totally update our kitchen, they installed beautiful heavy duty slide out cabinets and rebuilt our worn out drawers with full extension hardware and soft close door hardware. From start to finish this was a top notch quality job. Definitely much higher quality than the bid from the big box home improvement store. We're 100% happy with our updated kitchen!
I was very happy with my experience with The Window Store. The salesman was very informative and professional, and the price was better than two other companies I received quotes from. The windows arrived on time and the installation went smoothly. The customer service is wonderful. Everyone I spoke with was so helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend The Window Store to anyone looking to invest in new windows.
After talking with them at their booth at the Wisconsin State Fair August 2024, we contacted the Window Store to have the cabinets refaced in our 3 bathrooms. One of our bathroom cabinets was a custom cabinet that would have resulted in an expensive project if we had chosen to remove it and replace it with a new cabinet. The refaced cabinets are beautiful and the Oak matches our existing cabinets perfectly. We love the soft-close hinges and the high quality of the product. The project went smoothly, from start to finish, and everyone we spoke to at the company was professional and courteous. The installer, Todd, was fantastic and the workmanship top-notch! We were extremely pleased with our experience with the Window Store and have no reservations in recommending the Window Store to others.
We had a fantastic experience with The Window Store and our kitchen resurface/remodel. Ger did a wonderful job helping us change some of the functionality of our kitchen and the final look was great! Highly recommend!!!!
Sketchy salesmen. Was told I was receiving a free “no pressure” estimate. When I told the salesman I would need time to think about it and wasn’t going to sign anything today, he raised his voice and got really upset with me.
Also, be weary of the positive reviews on here, as the salesman told me I could get a discount as long as I left a 5 star review with pictures after the work was done
Very happy with the overall service! Communication with Michelle was very clear and timely. Jer was transparent about the process and pricing. The installation was a bit trickier than expected, but the install team stuck with it and did a great job!
We've had many compliments on the look and quality of our cabinets. They turned out beautifully! Jer was very helpful in getting the process started and worked with us to resolve our questions.
The Window Store did a fantastic job on our siding. We have gotten so many compliments on the color and the work done.
Jer, was wonderful when it came to asking any question and getting answers as well as making sure we could get the best price possible. He is very sociable and doesn't make anything feel like just a "sales pitch".
We had some hiccups along the way but I think that was just some miscommunication with the workers. After a little bit of back and forth they were very receptive and came back to fix the small issues we had. They took their time and made sure everything looked uniform and that our home looked the best that it possibly could before they left. The workers were very polite and made sure to ask input before just doing things. They even hung up new house lights for us and put back up our awning.
Overall, we were incredibly impressed with the work, the finished product, and the company.
Below is a before and after photo so you can see for yourself how beautiful the work is.
Jer did a great job of explaining my options and making sure I understood the process. When we bought the house, the kitchen was a 1970s olive green with gold appliances. The finished kitchen is so much brighter. Drawers and cupboards actually open and close. The finish is so easy to wipe clean. The old laminate was removed before the finish was applied. I know this will last me a long time. I am very happy with the finished kitchen, the guidance Jer gave me, and the expertise of the installer.
Jer, our sales rep, was quite helpful in guiding us through our cabinet refacing and in some cases replacing. Robert Kussmann, our cabinet refacing installer did a fabulous job. He was very efficient and accommodating.
We had a great experience with our cabinet refacing. Ger was great to work with setting up the project. Rob our installer was very meticulous and offered many helpful tips. Overall great experience and the kitchen looks great.
Sent a marketing person for a kitchen refurbish. This is for replacing drawers and doors, still the old boxes. After signing and 4 days after measurements, I found two very reputable companies that offered brand new cabinets and canceled project. And the cost was 50% less than the Window Store REFURBISHED cabinets. They refused to return a 25% cancelation fee. This fee explanation is NOT on the cancelation paper you sign, it is hidden on the back of the contract. SHADY!! SHADY!! SHADY!! Tells you everything you need to know about this company!!! DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS....Explain hiding your 25% cancelation policy on the back of the contract instead of on the cancelation page the customer signs!!!!
Had our cabinets refaced and added in two lazy susans. The process was easy and the contractor (didn't realize they'd send a contractor vs Window Store employee) they sent out to complete the work was great! All soft close cabinets and smooth, easy to wipe surfaces. 8 months after completion, seeing bubbling in a corner next to the dishwasher.
We were extremely happy with the professionalism and quality of work on our challenging window project. Greg was our initial salesman and his pitch was informative but not too over the top. We felt we had a good feel for the product and the company after talking with him. There was a bit of confusion on the type of windows when they got measured, but Michelle was right on top of it immediately. Finally, I can’t say enough great things about the installation crew. They had a challenging job but tackled it with the highest professionalism and were also fun to have around. We are very happy we went with the Window Store for the job!
Before pics on top, finished product on bottom
A sales man came to my door and I spoke with him for a few minutes, he handed me a pamphlet and left. Then he came back the same day 3 ADDITIONAL times. I didn’t answer but saw on my cameras that he hung around on my porch for several minutes. Very unsettling considering he asked me earlier if I was the only one who lived there.
We are satisfied with how our house is all updated! We should have done it years ago. New siding, insulation, and wrapped. The work crew was very dedicated and professional. The office personnel orchestrate the the supplies and delivery dates. Everything went smoothly. In one week. We have a beautiful home.
Sincerely, Kathy
Wanted to share our amazing expierence with Greg Miller while discussing options to update our windows. Although it wasn’t the right time for us to change our windows just yet I wanted to acknowledge his professionalism. We appreciated how knowledgeable and informative he was through the process. We look forward to working with them in the near future!
We scheduled an appointment with The Reface Experts, a division of The Windows Store at a home show in February 2024 at the Wisconsin NARI Home Improvement Show, scheduled for the first week of March. Two days prior to that in-home appointment, I received a call from a Minnesota area code to confirm the appointment.
At that time, the caller said that we should reserve up to 2 hours for the appointment and asked if my husband would also be present. When I said that my husband would not be available for this appointment, the caller explained that the company owner's policy is that both the husband and wife must be present and that the appointment would not be conducted without both of us there. The caller was very quick to simply cancel the appointment when I said my husband would not be there.
We have had several other cabinet improvement firms out for estimates in recent days. None of them took 2 hours and none of them had the requirement that both husband and wife must be present in order to provide an estimate. We will be working with one of them.
Excellent company to work with from start to finish, great communication and scheduling to quality workmanship. I would use them for all my home remodeling projects.
I can barely put into words how frustrated I am with this company. Because of incompetent installers they hired to install our windows, wrong measurements, and more, they've been out to our house to fix things more times than I can count. They even pulled a fast one on us and installed some of our windows without insulation. Today, we woke to a cracked window that was just re-installed. We felt scammed by the salesperson and wish we would have gone with a more reliable company. Complete waste of money and time.
Start to finish, this was nothing but a great experience. Communication between the sales rep and the customer service reps who made all the arrangements was excellent, and they all seemed genuinely interested in ensuring we were well taken care of. Unlike some other companies that only wanted to deal with "the man of the house", TWS was almost insistent that all parties involved be available for all the decision making, which my better-half really appreciated. In the end we could have saved a few bucks going with a couple of different quotes we got, but the level of service we got from TWS was unmatched by leaps and bounds, and their offerings were as good and in most cases better than the others we looked at.
As for the install of the new roof, the crew assigned to us were on time and worked their tails off! They were careful to keep the site as clean as one could expect for a full tear off, and in the end you would never even know they were here. They did a fantastic job and the end result looks great! We had big thunderstorms pass through just 2 days later that involved very high winds and hail. Imagine our fear thinking our new roof was going to get damaged/blown off/etc just days after it was put on...but it held up just fine...no blown shingles and no leaks.
The supervisor on the job even went as far as to provide some additional services to an area of the house that he noticed was being destroyed by our local woodpeckers. For a reasonable additional price he cladded the area with aluminum that matched the color of the existing wood and it turned out fantastic...but best of all no more yearly patching of the damage!!
I should point out that we were offered some promotional pricing for this job in exchange for an unbiased review and a few other small caveats. This review has not been swayed by that promotion...I am honestly extremely happy with this job and will recommended TWS to anyone looking for a new roof. Don't let their name fool you, these guys aren't just window people...they know their roofs and offer very good products and have the experience to do the job right. If you are on the fence, hopefully this review can persuade you to choose TWS, you won't regret it!!
The project was expected to start on 11/13 but they called and asked if they could start it earlier. I though this was going to be no problem and I had no issues working with them on this as I know the installation team probably won’t get paid in between jobs. So they officially start on 11/8 and the project was quoted, and contracted to be 5 days as most refacing jobs are. They did not finish until the week of Christmas. I am not being factious when I say this was exhausting. First they measure wrong and delay the project by needing to install an new larger cabinet for to fit my dishwasher. They rectified this at no charge. But it started out as, the parts sometimes are late, and then it changed to no one ordered the materials. My kitchen was torn apart and not usable for over 6 weeks. When you pay for 5 days make sure you are getting 5 days. I did not have a fully functional kitchen until after Christmas, no sink, no countertops. When I escalate my concerns no one bothers to email me back, and I have to call the installer only because he is doing the work. When he can do work it is always after other jobs. There were a few times here was working on Saturday, and after 6pm because he was busy with other jobs. They are unwilling to work with me on rectifying they fact it took 6 weeks. Having known now what I know, I would not have paid what I paid for a 6 week project. I could have gotten a remodel done in the same timeframe for the same price.
I had the Window Store install new siding and a window. Great job!I am really happy with all the work that was done.
Whatever you do do not speak with these people when they come to your door trying to sell you their product, on a Saturday afternoon while you're trying to relax.
My hsuband spoke with the canvasser that came to our door. We have been in the market for new windows, so my husband being the kind man he is listened to the guy talk. He came in and handed me a flyer and said they are going to call me Monday night to chat.
Well, the called Monday and we were busy. So they called again tiesday... fine. My husband answered and said we weren't interested and that we wound up going with someone else.
So then later that same day, we got a call confirming "our meeting" for this evening. We NEVER scheduled a meeting with anyone. Infection as I said above my husband kindly told them we weren't interested.
They scheduled a meeting and we never even discussed it with them. Not once.
They don't take no for an answer. They will call multiple times, not listen when you tell them nicely that you aren't interested, and then will schedule meetings in your home that you never agreed to.
This many problems and we haven't even hired them!
We had our roof replaced, and it could not have gone better. The turnaround between the quote and install was super quick. The crew was skilled and professional. Communication was pretty seamless for the most part. And best of all? There were no surprises. Okay, I was little surprised at how well it went … but that’s a good surprise.
We are very pleased with the outstanding job the Window Store did on siding and trimmed our whole house. Several neighbors have stopped by to tell us how much they like it. We had one small glitch and the company immediately corrected it. We would recommend the Window Store to anyone. Fantastic job!
Used for a large project cabinet refacing. Quality product and excellent installation staff. One minor issue with a single slideout was quickly resolved. Would recommend.
I asked for a roofing estimate from one of their door to door solicitors.
An unkempt man arrived the next day. I stepped outside to give access to the roof and he didn't want to quote it until he came inside and talked to both my wife and i.
I explained I just wanted a roofing quote and he replied, "That's not how we do things".
I thanked him for his time and we didn't require his services.
I don't know why they refused to quote the roof?
My guess is they want to sell you more than you need.
Seemed like a scam to me.
We recently had our second floor windows replaced in our nearly 100-year-old house and are very happy with how they turned out. Overall, we had an excellent experience with the company. We did encounter some hurdles when it came to install, namely scheduling issues and delays. But even in light of those issues, I was impressed with how responsive and communicative the company was throughout the process. I would recommend the Window Store to anyone I know who is looking to invest in their home.
We had a pella bay window replaced that was recalled. There was condensation with rotting wood, mold and severe air leak making frost inside and cold air inside and high bills. After a few other window estimates we chose The Window Store New Berlin based on representative Gary F. visit, demonstration, company standing, quality and cost. The install was done in 1.5 days at most Day one was Nick, Todd and Adam installers with Nick and Todd mostly just for install set up and getting the window up. Adam did most of the install which was way so much more complicated and work than I expected. Adam is a very hard worker, professional, precise, organized, clean and nic.Throughout the whole process the office and installers were in contact to let us know what is happening. We are super happy with our window. It's very well mad, looks great and all we have to do is pick our stain. I'm looking forward to being warm in winter.
The Window Store INC provides a quality product that looks good and is installed by a professional and responsive team. I look forward to doing the rest of my window replacements with The Window Store INC.
My wife and I recently had 4 windows replaced in our house. From the sales team to the installation everything was very smooth and professional.
The Window Store recently replaced our living room window with a bay window. The window is amazing, gave our house a much needed facelift, and a lot more natural light pouring into our living room now. There were some hiccups with the installation schedule (unable to install on scheduled day), but they were able to come next day and complete, only reason for 4 instead of 5.
Great Quality Roof - same day the roof was installed, we had high winds and hail. The roof handled it with ease! On the day after, it looked just like it did the day before when it was installed. Old roof off and new roof installed in 1/2 a day! Professional workers who cleaned up completely at the end of the job. Very satisfied and highly recommended. Before and after pics below.
They did our windows and came to give us a quote for refacing our kitchen. Always professional, good quality and fair pricing
Great sales team. Great install team on time quick but very professional and detail oriented. The first thing I noticed after install was how much quieter my house was with the new windows!
Do not ever get work done by the window store. I had my roof put in by them and it has leaked since they put it in. I bought new flashing but they just left the old flashing in. Also had alot of other issues to many to list. I've been back in forth with them about fixing all of the bad quality work. Now they tell me my warranty isn't valid because they switched names from the window store to window store inc. So beware this company is a scam.
Work was just completed on kitchen refacing and dining room built-ins. From Justin who did the final measurements to Rob and Anton who dismantled and installed cabinet doors, drawers on all the lower cabinets, and countertop, I am happy with the transformation. Also, Rob and Anton cleaned the area on a daily basis, and for my part, final clean-up was minimal. Katie who is at the office provided answers to my questions. Extremely satisfied with the customer service from The Window Store.
I wanted to wait a bit before writing my review. When something is brand new it generally always seems really good. Well it’s been over a month and I still am very happy with my windows. From the beginning when we met with Ger, he explained everything thoroughly, and showed us our different options. He paired our wants and needs perfectly. Although I second guessed our (wife’s) choice for the slider picture window, I absolutely love it now that it’s installed.
Justin and his install crew were great too. He stopped by ahead of time to check on some things so there wouldn’t be any issues when he actually installed. Once scheduled, he and the crew arrived on time, explained the process, and proceeded to cover everything with drop cloths. They installed everything efficiently, and cleaned everything up, inside and out. Once installed he explained the operation of the windows, and answered any questions I had.
Overall, everyone I dealt with at The Window Store was great. The quality is great, the price was right and the entire process went smoothly. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
My husband and I were in the market for new windows. We reached out to the widow store for a free quote. We ended up booking them for our new windows. From the quote process to the installation of the windows we were very happy with the customer service and process. The staff are incredibly professional and they do excellent craftsmanship when installing. We highly recommend them for anyone in need of new windows!
This is PART TWO of our odyssey! Now, to top it all off, 12/23/2022 all windows had ice and/or water on them. I contacted The Window Store and was basically told that it was my problem because the humidity level is too high in my 1965 home. They sent me some pamphlets. They also told me that I had to get a humidity check, so I purchased a Digital Hygrometer Indoor Thermometer and monitored the indoor humidity and it was consistently between 37 and 41 percent. The office manager told me in an email “when we had that cold streak with the weather wind chill being in the negatives then the humidity needed to be adjusted to what the weather outside is currently at.” (That is directly from the email) And sent me another chart showing what I was to adjust the inside humidity to correspond with the outside temp. The colder the outside temp the lower the relative humidity, indoor. I have owned numerous homes and this is the first time I have ever heard this. They sent an installer out to look at the windows. He opened two of the windows and ran his finger around the weather stripping and stated that the seal was probably just compressed. The next subzero night I did a test on two of the worst windows by taping around the complete window. The next morning these two windows were the only ones that did NOT have any ice or moisture. I inspected the windows and discovered that the weather stripping does not meet at the corners but leaves a small gap also the weather stripping on some of the windows moves and then the gap gets even larger. I emailed the person that they sent to look at the windows but to date I have had no response from anyone associated with The Window Store.
Their answer to a problem, via the office manager, is to give you the run around till you get tired and give up. It seems as though the office manager will come up with any excuse so that they will not have to stand behind their product. I could have had much less expensive windows installed but I thought the price indicated the quality, was I ever wrong!!! My recommendation would be not to use them, avoid The Window Store like the plague!!
Avoid The Window Store like the plague!! I had windows installed in my home on 5/12/2022. They did very sloppy caulking on the exterior of the windows. I contacted the sales person and was assured that the caulking would be redone properly. I did get a call from someone in Minneapolis with a run around but finally agreed the someone would look at it. Nothing was done till 9/6/2022 when the window store sent someone out to install a piece if trim to cover up the sloppy caulking. Now to top it all off, 12/23/2022 all windows had ice and/or water on them. I contacted The Window Store and was basically told that it was my problem because the humidity level is too high in my home and that the humidity needed to be adjusted, the colder the outside temp the lower the relative humidity. They sent an installer out to look at the windows. He ran his finger around the weather stripping and stated that the seal was probably just compressed. The next subzero night I did a test on two of the worst windows by taping around the complete window. The next morning these two windows did NOT have any ice or moisture. I inspected the windows and discovered that the weather stripping does not meet at the corners but leaves a small gap also the weather stripping on some of the windows moves and then the gap gets even larger. I emailed the person that they sent to look at the windows but to date I have had no response from anyone associated with The Window Store. D0 not use them, avoid The Window Store like the plague!!
Salesman & installer were professional and answered all questions. After install, the few minor issues we had were addressed promptly. Would use again.
We had 3 large windows replaced. Windows arrived in the timeframe expected and Adam did a great job installing. We will be ordering more!
This was a bit bittersweet. Got 3 windows replaced. They are far from cheap, although quality seems good. Took 3 months to get everything ready for installation. My house has brown wood outside, and on the date of the installation, they realized that the original order had the window wraps in white (which is what they brought) instead of brown (as all the windows in my house). I asked them to install anyway as I did not want further delays, thinking that it could be fixed afterwards. Seller agreed to do that, as this should have been spotted when they look at the windows the first time. But then it seems that "higher up" they didn't want to authorize an extra visit to change the wraps, and asked me to pay an extra $800 for that. Not a great way to keep a customer happy and interested in working with them again
They seem to offer a quality window, but ultimately I decided to go with another company because of all the sales gimmicks. ("the low price you're receiving today can only be locked in if you sign the contract on the day of initial quote"). Prices seem reasonable, but all of the deals and limited time offers are just markups that are then marked back down.
My husband and I replaced my mother's bay window from "The Window Store" as a gift to her. My mother choose which bay window she liked and what color she wanted. After the installment of the window, it looks beautiful compared to what she had before. This company allows financial payment plans, especially if you can't pay for it all at once. When the workers came to install the window, they laid out a cloth on the floor to help protect as best they could and put up a plastic sheet wall inside the home to help protect against the outdoor elements. The only issue my family had knowing the exact time when the custom window manufacturer company would drop off the window or where they placed it within our driveway.
We had our kitchen cabinets resurfaced and a new countertop installed. Overall a great job. There are a few minor issues but nothing they need to fix. My only suggestion is that they should go over the work thouroughly with you before taking your check. That way I could have addressed some of these issues.
The Window Store recently replaced 18 windows at our house and did a tremendous job from start to finish. They were accommodating and informative during the sales process. We never felt that our sales rep Greg at any point was being pushy and he accommodated our needs and special requests. Throughout the measuring and install process The Window Store effectively and efficiently replaced 18 old drafty windows with 10 new state of the art windows. At times consolidating 2 windows into 1 larger window. They did a great job finishing all window frames and we were really impressed with exterior vinyl work. The larger windows significantly increased the natural light in our house. We could tell the difference right away! Our house is warmer and the furnace definitely has been running less. I would highly recommend The Window Store to any of my friends or family.
Windows were put in so fast with very little care from installers. I can feel drafts everywhere and have ice inside my windows in the winter. The speech they gave while considering is nothing like what we are experiencing. I try to call and get a rude rep and told I have to pay for the cheap windows to be fixed and actually function right. I would not recommend ever to anyone. My brand new windows that I paid thousands for are worse then my old, cracking, 6 panel window that we had. How ridiculous!!
To the window store. You should be ashamed that you steal money from customers and give them terrible products.
The experience was overall very pleasant with The Window Store from start to finish. We got our windows about a week ago and have really enjoyed the look and the product. A real upgrade from our original 70 year old windows that came with our newly purchased home. The ordering process was simple and we waited the estimated time given. Things came in the timeline that they predicted. Every question that we had was answered in a timely manner. The installation went with ease and Adam was super respectful and responsible with his job. We did have one window come damaged. Adam contacted the head office to get another ordered. We are waiting to hear back, but this was the cause for the 4 stars as the window had a clear defect in the obscured portion of the glass. This was a complete manufacturing issue, nothing done by the installer. However, it should’ve never been deliver as is. Hoping to get it repaired as promised. Other than that, things turned out beautifully! Once the issue is rectified, I will definitely change this review to 5 stars as no other issues were encountered and we are happy with the job.
We had most of our original windows replaced in our 1940s home. Not only am I impressed with the window quality, but also the quality of work done to install. Our installer Adam did an amazing job from start to finish. I was stressed about several windows due to age, size, and framing, he left me feeling confident that the job would get done correctly and without worries. The end results look great! Take a look for yourself with the before and after photos! My only complaint is the lack of communication when issues arose with having to store the windows on our own property when the install date had to be pushed out. I understand things come up, but asked that a manager would call me, no one called. Luckily, we only had to wait a week for a new install date. Overall we are happy!
I would NOT recommend the Window Store Inc to anyone I know. My husband and I got every window in our house replaced, a total of 22 windows. We have had the windows installed at the end of July and we are still having the company come and and fix the caulking on the outside of the house; and the caulking is still not complete. We got a heavy rain storm and the water was coming in threw the uncaulked windows in our basement. This has been a very stressful experience that I never want to go threw again. Please don't make the same mistake we made. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
I had two windows replaced on my house. They were manufactured and installed early than expected. The installer do a good job.
I made 2 appointments for an estimate and both times someone didn't show up, I was extremely frustrated but they called and promised me deal for not showing up twice. (We never saw that deal) So we made a 3rd apt, they came and Dominic the salesman was awesome and new his product. So we decided to with them. Windows were installed about 6 weeks later. My husband thought the sub contractor who installed them (Adam) did a great job. If I knew it was a sub contractor though I wouldn't have done business with them I figured they were a company with their own employees.
I didn't care for Katie L the customer service lady, she accused me of lying and just didn't seem professional.
We've only had the windows 2 weeks so far so good. We really like the idea of lifetime warranty.
Had the The Window Store in to replace 3 upstairs windows that were old and leaked a lot of heat and cold. The team was professional and timely. They did a nice job and cleaned up week after themselves, which was important to me since one of the windows they replaced was in my 2 year old son's room.
Overall, would recommend.
The Window Store (WI) replaced three windows for us. Two were bow windows that were aging badly. The Window Store Team helped us pick out the proper windows that matched the existing windows. They look gorgeous and we love and the unobstructed view of the lake through them. Thank you!
The Window Store did a top notch job on both siding and window installation. Everything was made in America so there were no delays due to supply chain, they were responsive when we asked questions, and the workmen were all very polite and kind.
Jer, the sales guy, stayed in touch to answer our questions throughout, even after making the sale and things had been handed off to other departments.
We have gotten so many compliments on the work. Neighbors have stopped on their walks to tell us about it and we have even had a few that have stopped and said “isn’t the Window Store great, they did our house too.”
Overall we are incredibly excited with the work, the look, and the company. We are even planning to have them do more work since it went so well.
The picture of the brown house is before The Window Store and the amazing Green is after they beautified it.
They did a beautiful job on my siding and door installation, and I’m incredibly happy with the outcome. The reason for only 4 stars is because I feel communication was lacking. At times it was hard to get my questions answered, but ultimately the finished product is beautiful and I’m happy with it!
I had a bay window removed and replaced with a single pane window and had a sliding door removed and replaced with french doors. I also had some siding replaced above what was the bay window. It remains to be seen how well the products hold up, but no real complaints about their quality so far.
Communication, though, is where the low rating comes in. After the sales pitch and signing of the contract, the next step was to have someone come out and measure everything for final measurements. During this visit, I decided to make a change to the siding color I picked and the person making the measurements documented the new color. Since I have not hired a lot of people to do work on my house, I forgot that this would result in a change order and the sales person had to stop by again to capture the change. I told him to use whatever color was picked by the person who measured since we found an exact match. Instead of using that color, I was forced to pick another color that it turns out was a shade darker (I only found out after the siding installers left).
Prior to the install, I was called and told that the french doors and the siding would be replaced on the same day, but not the window. I had to tell them that the siding could not be replaced until after the bay window was removed and I was asked why. I said because the siding installers would have to remove the overhang above the bay window and by doing so, would leave the top of the bay window completely open to the elements. So, that was not a good sign of what was to come.
On the day of the install of the french doors and the windows, the install crew had no idea what they were actually responsible for. I told them the plan and that a second crew was going to do the siding install after the bay window was removed and replaced with the new window. The crew seemed to not understand what I was talking about, they seemed to take offense that I was trying to tell them what was going on, and it took about an hour or so for everything to be straightened out between the install crew and the office. I'm not sure why it was even in question, as this was decided (and I would have hoped documented) days before the install crew even showed up.
After the door and window install, the office staff called me on a Wednesday telling me the siding installers would be there "either today or tomorrow." I asked for them to arrive same day if at all possible and I was told they should be able to make it and that a dumpster was not needed, which was in question up to this phone call. The siding installers showed up without letting me know, did not talk to me or my wife at all (and we were home all day), and left without talking to us or making sure we were ok with the install. I guess I'm lucky that in general, things turned out ok, but for the amount of money I'm paying for these things, you would think that communication and service would be a lot better than I experienced.
After all is said and done, there is some damage to the drywall where the bay window was removed. Because of other damage to that same wall (not caused by any of this work), I didn't make a big deal out of it since I have to fix that wall and repaint it anyway. However, I did notice that there are a couple of big gouges on the locks/handles I bought for the french doors. This kinda sucks because that was brand new hardware and was not cheap. Now I have to live with the damage or pay more to replace it myself. I also don't know if it is a design issue or an install issue, but there was a large gap at the top of the french doors that was letting in light, bugs, and a draft. I had some leftover weatherstripping, so I put that up and now the gap, light, and draft are gone.
I don't have any before pictures, so I've attached pictures of the damage to the door handles and the french doors and window after the final installation.
We had our new windows installed on October 5, 2021 by The Window Store. Now, almost 1 year later they are just as wonderful as they were when installed. It was a pleasure working with Greg who helped us choose our windows, Bill who came out and measured the windows, Bill and his team who installed them, and Michelle who took care of everything else in between. Everyone was friendly, respectful, and very professional. This company really cares about its customers and that the windows are of good quality and installed correctly. As I have said, it has been a year and we still love our windows. Our house still had the original windows before we got new ones. I cannot believe how much quieter the house is now with the new windows. Also we have several large picture windows, and during last winter there were no more drafts. Sometimes I wonder if the new windows are working too efficiently as the house felt warmer than it normally does in winter. The windows are easy to clean and use. I would not hesitate in hiring The Window Store to install your new windows!
The Window Store Inc tore off, then replaced my roof. I felt it was a fair price for a job well done. The guys worked fast and efficiently, and cleaned up really well afterwards. I will definitely recommend them.
The Window Store was able to provide high quality windows at a very affordable price. We are very pleased with our new windows. They function well and are very attractive. From the initial sales call, to design and then installation, we felt The Window Store treated us and our project with the utmost respect and professionalism. I also wanted to say the installation team went above and beyond what most installers would probably provide. They worked through some architectural problems created by the previous home owner and made sure our windows were installed properly and would last a very long time. Thank you to everybody at The Window Store for a great experience and product!
I met with my sales rep. in January and it was his hope to have the windows in no later than May. I was sold on the high quality of the finishing work I was promised. May came and went after several emails of me reaching out and they finally came out in mid July. Two men, three windows and 6 hours later the finishing work was rough. Mind you they only did the exterior trim, I did my own interior trim. Clean up was minimal, found a handful of screws in grass, dirty hand prints on my interior walls and windows and said nothing about care or function of the windows. When I sent photos and emailed about my concerns they admitted they didn't send a crew with the skill set needed to complete the job correctly. . . Even though they new full well prior what the job entailed. They then sent out the same crew and they did minimal corrections . . mainly added more caulk. I sent photos and asked if this was I was the quality I was to expect. They subcontracted a company to come out to fix the issues. It was one man trying to patch the original work that was already done instead of scrapping the bad trim work and starting over. It still took several hours and is full of imperfections. I felt it was a struggle to get to this point and I'm just hoping everything fairs well this coming winter. Chalking it up to a lesson learned. I have 9 more windows to replace in this house and I will sadly be looking for a different company to do it.
We were approached by The Window Store as part of a promotion for homes that could be used for their before and after marketing. We were impressed with the quality of the product and the fact that all their windows are manufactured in the US. Earlier in the year, we had received quotes from two other companies for our replacements, but ultimately we decided to go with The Window Store because of the quality of their windows. We did receive promotional pricing and products for participating in the marketing program. They fit us in on a cancellation about a month after being quoted. The workers were quick, efficient and worked as a team. They were polite to us and did their job well. We love the windows and how they look! We look forward to working with them again on other projects in our home!
Overall their service was good. We were pleased with the quickness of the window installation. However, our windows were left with caulk on them from the manufacturing of the windows. ( Not the installation) A couple of the windows we had to take the screens off to get to the caulk to scrape it and clean it off and a couple other ones were more easily cleaned but still disappointing and a pain to deal with. Prices were good for what we needed.
Had around 10 new windows installed by The Window Store Inc. Very nice looking quality windows. A couple of install issues but the window store was very quick to correct and very professional! I am going to retrim the windows myself to white but this was big step in completing another project!
I would say 3/5 for communication on the window installation. They called and told us about our install two days before, and said we had to be present during install, and if that day doesn't work, they would have to reschedule a few weeks to a month later. Thankfully my husband's work is accommodating, so he was able to switch his shift on short notice. The two gentleman installing the windows were great, and they did a wonderful job installing and wrapping our windows. 5/5 for the new windows and window install. We also did some LP siding, so 2/5 for the communication because no specific day or time was given except for the day before. A dumpster was dropped in our driveway at the end of June and wasn't removed until the first week of August, so I wish the job could have been done more quickly. They removed the siding in early July, but didn't return until the end of July to finish, so our house had about 2-3 weeks with just the Tyvek wrapping because they were waiting on materials. At first they did not put the proper wrapping that we were quoted on the house, but they came back and fixed the mistake. The gentlemen working on the job did a nice job and the final LP siding looks great, so again 5/5 for the product, the timing and communication of the project installation could be improved.
We had a great experience working with the staff from The Window Store. Our job consisted of 13 windows and the job went well. We would definitely recommend them to family and friends.
Just had our 3 original windows replaced 2 weeks ago. Luis and his team did an amazing job. Very quick and efficient work! We ordered our windows in May and had them fully installed by end of July! The quality is outstanding and we are so in love with how easy they are to use! I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to replace their windows if they want quick, efficient, and quality job/product.
We purchased 14 new windows from the Window Store back in February 2022. They were more expensive than the last time we purchased window from a different vendor, but I suppose that can be attributed to inflation and other supply chain factors. The installed windows seem to be a really good product. I'm hoping we don't have any issues with air leakage or anything like that come winter, but we'll have to wait to find out. Also, I was really impressed with the installers. They worked on a really rainy day in July, and they just pushed through the weather to get everything done in one day.
I did take some issue with the customer service provided by the Window Store. We ordered our windows in beginning of February, but they weren't fully installed until 7/15. The expectations laid out in our contract were 8 to 12 weeks from when the measurements were taken. It took almost twice the length of that stated timeframe, and I received no communication during the waiting time unless I specifically reached out. I can understand delays due to the supply chain and labor shortages, but they should alter the expectations in the contract and also communicate those issues with the customer throughout the waiting period. $16K is a lot of money for us, and waiting 5 months without hearing from the company was really frustrating for us.
I've had much better experiences ordering windows from other vendors, and since replacing windows is largely about customer service (there are a lot of good window manufacturers out there), I'm only giving this review 3 stars. To summarize, I'm pleased with the final product, but I think the Window Store has some work to do in terms of providing quality customer service and facilitating the whole process.
Took 6 months to install the front window after we were informed that the "project" was received. No communication concerning any delays. Inquiring phone calls requesting updates on the installation were not returned. A simple return phone call explaining timing, personnel, work load, etc., or anything causing the installation delay, would have answered any concerns we were experiencing. Our only summation was that they were too busy to respond. Window was finally installed only to realize that grids were missing as originally specified. Installers and window were/is awesome and didn't want to repeat the process over again. Received a credit for the error and are satisfied with the result.
We are very happy with our new windows and the installation. For various reasons the entire process took about 9 months, but we weren’t in a hurry. The installers were knowledgeable and everything was perfect except for a small section of caulk. They cleaned up well. It was a good experience and I would use them again. Before and after photos added. New bay window looks awesome.
We had some windows replaced along with our siding, gutters and trim. Hardworking team of people, extremely friendly, & done as expected.
