The Sunday Solar folks were great to work with. They were quite thorough and took extra steps to insure that the system was put in correctly. I recommend them without any reservations.

Installation went smoothly, employees were easy to work with, explained things. Got solar panels and battery backup. Battery kicks in seamlessly and get message when back on the grid but haven't had a long interruption yet. Generate more electricity than we use. Only expense is a $7.00 a month transfer fee to send and receive electricity. Sell renewable energy credits (REC) through Suntribe Trading who we hooked up with through SunDay. Helped with paperwork with City to get tax credit. Have an app that lets us check the performance of the system at any time. Picked them over several other companies. Couldn't be happier.

The installation of our 12 solar panels took place in a single day! A crew installed the panels on the roof and laid conduit while an electrician and helper installed the inverter, shut-off, and wiring. A county inspector promptly inspected the system and it was activated. We are very pleased with SunDay Solar.

Very happy with Sunday Solar who installed the Enphase 10T battery backup system onto my existing solar panel system. Sleek system, mounted on the wall next to parked car. Wish I had called Sunday Solar for my solar panel system. Company who installed the panels would not return my calls after job was complete, and they are now out of business.

Initially, Alicia from SunDay Solar spent a couple of hours explaining everything to us, reviewing our usage and current system, and then - just a few weeks later the panels were on the roof! Installation day was smooth and expedient. Everyone was extremely pleasant and professional! The solar panels blend in with our back roof, and definitely do not draw negative attention to the lines of the roof. What could be better than using the sun's energy to heat and cool the house, water, and everything else!! That is what I call a "win-win!"

Before signing with SunDay Solar I did some homework, had a basic understanding of systems, what panels and microinverters we wanted, and got quotes from other local companies. SunDay not only gave a competitive quote, they were most accommodating regarding system needs and design. Their ten year warranty and quarterly monitoring is included. Everyone we dealt with was professional and easy to communicate with, from Tim sales, to Eric project manager, Sam design, Tyler installation, Nate and Miles electric, to Grace office. They took care of all the permits and inspections, as to be expected, in timely manner. Positive experience and we’re happy to have a our solar system fully operational. Good work by SunDay Solar.

The bid process was a bit messy with SunDay, but once they started work everything flowed smoothly and was completed on schedule.

SunDay Solar recent completed a 13 kW array with 20 kW battery backup, and we could not be more pleased. Their entire staff communicated quickly and effectively, and their workmanship was superb. Our county building inspectors are among the most stringent in the state, and all passed with compliments from the county staff. We could not have chosen a better solar vendor.

We recently moved to town and they not only welcomed us with open arms, they provided an amazing turn key experience.

My experience with Sunday Solar has been nothing short of excellent. They installed a 9kW system and later a backup battery. Everyone I've interacted with has been remarkably helpful, friendly, and responsive to every question or concern I've had. Eric was so helpful coordinating with Dominion Power in getting set up, including meter exchange, hand delivering the paperwork I needed to file for the C'ville RE tax credit, and always quickly responding to every question or concern regarding the operation of the system. Simon and Miles, knowledgeable and super communicative during the backup battery install, made me feel listened to with my best interests in mind. Tim in sales always ready to be of service. Heidi (and whoever else) in the office, handled the entire process enabling me to sell my SRECs hassle-free. And Richard, the owner, who helped me to arrange my excess energy to Dominion. My system is more than I currently need, but will be adequate to support future EV charging. My electric bill is consistently $6.58/month which is what Dominion charges just for the connection. One day, I noticed on the app one of the panels was not working. I called and they came out the next day and replaced a faulty optimizer. It feels good to know they stand by their products and service. I like that they are local so I'm not dealing with a big out-of-state company, which I think is why they are able to be so on the beam with communication. Couldn't be happier!

From helping to get HOA approval to the final inspection, the SunDay crew were great. Very happy with the capacity of the system and the battery back up to help get us through periods when the grid shuts down.

SunDay Solar hooked me up with a killer 11KW ground mount / rooftop system. They were flexible with my custom install. They have great customer service, even after the project was complete. They monitor my system for me and come fix it when and/or if it breaks.

Richard Crisler and his team at SundaySolar did an outstanding job installing our solar system late 2019. From the initial discussion to the commissioning, everyone at the company acted professionally, the workmanship was excellent, and the end result is outstanding. Every day when I wake up and see the sun come up I know the electric bill is going down. I live in an neighborhood with an HOA and SundaySolar very quickly provided the necessary documentation for the HOA and the project was approved very quickly. SundaySolar then installed the system and had it up and running before the end of the year so that I could benefit from the maximum tax credit. I couldn’t be happier with the system and SundaySolar. To top it off they are a local company. If I had to do it over again Richard and his team would most definitely get my business.

Sunday Solar installed a 15 kW (40 panels) ground solar array system for us this fall. It provides enough power to meet our house and electric vehicle needs. We are extremely pleased with the installation. Sunday Solar listened to our requirements and delivered.

They were also more economical in their pricing than other installers we talked to. We were impressed with their more honest and realistic marketing approach. Another company spoke of savings from solar that were twice what Sunday Solar stated. Sunday Solar's projections were consistent with independent research papers on the subject.

Were were impressed with how many local businesses have used Sunday Solar for installing their solar systems. It was great working with Richard, Tim, and Eric, as well as the whole team. Strongly recommend.

We went through LEAP's Solarize program, so we didn't actually have a choice about which contractor to use. (LEAP chose the contractor for us after vetting different companies.) But we're happy to have used Sunday Solar.

Our system is small (11 panels), and they worked with us to arrange it on only the newer portions of our metal roof. We don't have the perfect situation for solar, with several different roof planes, and a large tree in the front yard, but Tim thought we could get enough out of the system that it would make sense for us.

We were satisfied with the installation, which took about two and a half days. The team was respectful, kept us informed about the process, and gave a picture of the roof when they were done with the installation, since it's not visible from the ground.

Our only frustration with the process was how long it took overall; it was almost four months from the proposal to the time we were actually up and running. Sunday Solar did not apply for our electrical permit with the City until they were in the middle of the installation. So once they were done with installation, we still had to wait for the City to review and approve the permit and then schedule an inspection. The permit should have been in the works before it was our turn for installation, which would have saved us a month of waiting -- and we could have gotten some of this year's summer sunshine, rather than having the system activated in the fall.

Maybe if we ever replace the older parts of the roof, we can have them return to add a few more panels!

We considered four companies to install our solar panels. Sunday Solar was one of the two low bidders, but we mostly chose them because their sales representative was direct and honest with us. (Another company seems to use out-of-state used-car salesmen. That salesman ignored our preferred size and tried to move us toward long-term financing.) With Sunday Solar, our installation was done as scheduled and with regular consultation. When our inverter failed within a few days after completion, Sunday Solar worked with the supplier to find the problem, obtain a replacement by overnight delivery, and install it promptly.

We had a great experience with Sunday Solar. They designed and installed a 44 panel system on our roof with battery backup in the basement. The work was very clean and carefully done. We have a 200 year old house and a metal roof, which they were very careful not to damage. The system works great, and now we are making all our own energy, and sending the extra back to the power company. They also took care of all the paperwork and inspections for the permits. Since the install they have been great about followup to check on stuff and hook us up to the online monitoring software so we can see how it is performing.
We totally enjoyed working with them, Richard, Tim, Eric, JP, and Danny. We call them The Sunshine Boys.

We have had our system for about 4 months and to date it has generated more energy than we have consumed giving us a positive energy credit. It will take a full 12 months to determine the overall performance but so far so good. We love the online monitoring feature that enables us to check real time performance of the entire system and each individual solar panel performance. We used SundaySolar because our son had used them for his system and they did a great job on his system. When they installed our system they did an equally excellent job. They used all black panels which blended well on our black roof. The external conduit runs were minimal and very neat. The inverter they used is smaller than most and they use optimizers on each solar panel which enables individual monitoring of each panel and significantly improves efficiency and output of the entire system.

I don’t know what your experience will be but one point of frustration was with the power company. They need to inspect the system, install a new meter and approve turning on your system. We had our system installed and ready and it took 4 weeks for the power company to approve the system and install a new meter. The power company has since had to swap out the meter 2 times as the first 2 meters were defective. Our system was working and we could see that we were sending solar energy to the grid so that was not a problem but it is something out of the control of the installation company and that you should be aware of. It would be worthwhile to contact your power company in advance to ensure you understand their requirements and expectations.

If you plan to add solar I highly recommend SundaySolar.

The best solar company in C'ville! Richard and his team just installed a 10kw system for us and everyone we dealt with was pleasant and friendly, in addition to highly competent. If there was anything we didn't know or understand all we had to do was ask and they were happy to educate us on any part of the process. It's a large investment and every installation is unique and they were very patient in explaining all of our options and figuring out what would work best for us and our situation. There was never a sense that they were applying a "one-size-fits-all" system or trying to sell us on the equipment on which they got the best margins--and we *definitely* got that sense from having certain other solar companies out to the house for estimates. Working with SunDay was a great experience, from start to finish. Cannot recommend them enough!

SunDay Solar was great to work with - timely and neat! They installed PV solar panels over most of my back roof and we are now generating electricity - about two thirds of my total consumption for heat, AC, hot water - everything. They have been a pleasure to work with.
