Called Towe and my Account Manager Chastity Branch with a possible hail claim situation and the response was fantastic. The insuring company contacted me later that day and actually had a Claims Adjuster at my home the very next morning, 24 hour results! Can’t get much better than that!

I have been insured through the Towe Insurance Agency for more than 5 years, and other than the routine check-ins at renewal time, and my periodic shopping for better rates at renewals, which I have not been able to find ... I have been very pleased with my agent, Chastity, for her handling of my homeowners and auto coverage through Penn National.

3 weeks ago, everything flipped around ~ my darling car was involved in a "hit and run" accident at a local parking lot at my friend's apartment building. Some neighbors witnessed a tow truck damage my car, but no photos or license number were recorded. The police officer was unable to identify the tow truck company, as the driver did not leave a note. The damage seemed fairly minimal to me and my friend, and from the photos I shared with others, they also thought, certainly fixable, and shouldn't be more than a couple thousand dollars. However, the insurance adjuster and claims person had a decidedly different perspective and declared my darling car a total loss! Having never been through this process, it has been super stressful, scary and upsetting.

Since then, I have barraged Chastity and Towe Agency's owner, Beth, with countless calls asking questions, expressing concerns, frustration, anger, fear, what-if's, etc. They have been stellar supports, offering understanding, listening, and doing their best to advocate on my behalf. Given that the insurance companies have most, if not all of the control, which I have learned through this process, the agents who write policies with the companies for us policyholders are rather limited in effectuating policies or procedures, however, they did their best to present my particular case with sincerity and far less emotion than I.

I also reached out to the Virginia Insurance Commissioner's office in Richmond numerous times with more questions and concerns - another excellent resource to explain our rights as consumers.

If you're shopping locally for an insurance agent, I highly recommend contacting Towe to inquire. They were able to beat auto/home rates over AARP, Travelers, and other AAA+ rated insurance companies I have had previously, and they do so with a personal touch, going the extra distance to provide full service, dedicated care and support. They call back in a timely manner, with courtesy and respect, which goes a long way with me. A 5-star experience from a 5-star insurance service agency. Give them a try - nothing to lose, since quotes are free, and you might save $ and gain a genuine, and rewarding relationship with people who know their market and compete well in it.

This is the first review I've ever posted, and there's a reason for that: Towe is truly exceptional. Four years ago, they found coverage for me that I'd been told did not exist and could not be found. Last month, they asked if I would let them quote our car insurance, which I had shopped for diligently a few years ago (and thus was confident couldn't be beat on price). They came back with a policy that had exactly the same terms and was 35 percent cheaper. 35 percent!

To top it off, everyone I've worked with at Towe is extremely pleasant and helpful; they actually put my needs first, and they go out of their way to make things easy. That's a rare thing these days, and it's much appreciated. Thanks, Towe.

I have always received excellent customer service from the staff at Towe, both on my personal and commercial policies. Sarah handles my commercial policy and she is very responsive to my requests and questions. If she doesn't know the answer, she is quick to find it out and get back with me in a timely fashion. I like the fact that they are local and not some obscure toll-free number where I talk to different reps each time. Have been with Towe insurance for a good many years —I love the service and the family. Cannot understand the negative comments recently posted...must be a mistake!

Had some trouble with a different agent & called Beth to get help. She immediately was able to get help with my situation and continued to help me out with online issues as well. Within an hour of speaking with her she had resolved an issue that I'd been on the phone for 3 hours over earlier in the day with different people.

I was introduced to Towe Insurance by my late father-in-law over 36 years ago and have looked to them for all my insurance needs ever since.
