We were pleased with the work that was done, the cost was more than we planned but the work was done well and we have had no problems with our roof.

Royal Roofing has taken care of our roofing needs for over two decades and through several hail storms. We first met Royal Roofing when we needed some custom work, and other companies couldn’t do it. When we tried Royal Roofing, their sales rep, Charlie Kegans, took on the challenge and got the job done. We’ve worked with them ever since. Charlie is honest, straightforward, knows his stuff, works well with our insurance coverage, and keeps his word.

Royal Roofing was referred to me by a close friend who had a great experience with them. I have had the same great experience - Charlie is a pro and knows what he is doing. He can work closely with insurance if needed and has prior experience as an adjuster. Our new roof looks great and the crew got it done in 1 full day - they were all professional and cleaned up well after the job was done. I highly recommend.

We have had Royal replace or repair the roof on two different houses over the past 20 or so years and have been highly pleased with the projects. Royal provides a fair price and performs top-flight work. In fact, a neighbor stopped by to comment on having watched the work and was impressed with how thoroughly they cleaned up afterwards. Fantastic job as always. This was the second roof replacement Royal has done for us. They’re first class all the way. Charlie was super in keeping us informed of progress at every step. He worked with us to get the job done at the time that was most expedient for us. And after the job, Charlie took care of all the insurance paperwork!! I would not use any other company!!

Mike and Charlie are the best. They guided me every step of the way, letting me know exactly what to expect. After letting me know all my options, they were patient and I never felt any pressure to make any sort of decision quickly. Finally, the work done by the crew was first rate. The roof looks great and when they left, you could not even tell they had been here - very good cleanup.

I am very impressed by Royal Roofing. After a very unusual hailstorm on May 19, 2023, my townhome had multiple areas of damage: I could see a broken window (fortunately, only the outer pane; the inner pane was intact), three window screens, the lantern, my fence, and - as I was told - the roof.
Royal Roofing was chosen by my homeowners insurance; they also used a few subcontractors (Ace for one). They worked very hard and very fast. In spite of over 200 homes needing repair, they sent me personal emails and left voicemails or texts to let me know when and for how long they would working on my individual townhome.
They also gave me individual attention including a very early repair of my window, and then replacement of my lantern, window screens, and painting of my garage door.
I was especially impressed by how meticulous they were with the cleanup. They left everything spotless, down to the very last nail.

I highly recommend Royal Roofing for all of your roofing needs. Mike and his team were excellent to work with from start to finish. They communicated clearly about the process and timing for the installation, and they were always responsive to my questions. The installers were professional and efficient, and they did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. We had a small issue with our satellite dish, but it was quickly corrected. This is the second time we have used Royal Roofing, and we would definitely use them again.

After a hail storm, my roof needed replacing. Mike (owner) helped me with choosing the replacement material. I really appreciated his professionalism. He didn’t try to upsell me with any unnecessary product. His crew was prompt and did a fantastic job. They were careful to clean up the area afterwards as well. Royal Roofing did an excellent job of a total roof replacement. The job site was clean and neat, the crew was well-trained and worked efficiently, on schedule and on budget. Charlie Keegans worked very well with the insurance company helping greatly with the stress of dealing with the replacement of the roof. After hail damaged our roof, I contacted a friend in the wholesale roofing supplies business for a recommendation. He said to go with Royal Roofing based on his decades of experience dealing with roofing contractors.

It was a great recommendation. Charlie Kegans at Royal Roofing did an outstanding job, including dealing with the insurance company's adjuster when the insurer initially did not want to cover the damage.

The cost to replace the roof and gutters was very reasonable. We decided to upgrade (no pressure from Charlie) to impact-resistant shingles because of how frequently hail storms occur. The minor additional cost is more than worth it because of the protection, and it lowers our insurance premium.

The roofing and gutter crews were courteous, prompt, and cleaned up after themselves. They took the time to cover hedges and other elements around the outside of the house to prevent damage during the replacement of the roof.

I am a new homeowner and after this most recent hailstorm I was being bombarded by roofing companies knocking on my door trying to get me to use them to redo my roof. Honestly, it was a bit overwhelming. I looked some of them up, but I just wasn't sure. So I asked one of my good friends and they told me about Royal Roofing, and how easy it is to work with them. So I gave them a call and Mike the owner came out and measured my roof and gave me an estimate. He didn't try to up-sell me on anything and he even helped me out when dealing with my insurance provider, which was very much appreciated considering I've never done this before. The crew who installed the roof were awesome to say the least. they kept my yard clean and shingles out of my landscaping, they had a guy out there who was picking up trash as it fell from the roof! Needless to say I was amazed at how easy they made what seemed to be a difficult process. Will definitely be referring them to anyone I know who needs work done on their roof!

The owner Mike is WORST PERSON THAT I HAVE DEALT WITH.

I recently purchased my home in Plano. During the inspection the roof did not pass. Some part of the house had nails exposed due to improper installation. The previous owner had a receipt with a 5 year warranty that covered installation and labor.

I called them and Tanya was a very polite during our conversations. She said someone from Royal was going to stop by and inspect the roof. The person that came was Charlie, it took him about 20 minutes to check on the roof. After he was done he said he was going to talk to the owner and get back to me.

Two weeks later I called them and Tanya said that someone else patched the roof and left the nails exposed, that it was not them. After that I called the previous owner and if you know her you will see she's a very kind lady who made the buying process so much easier. She said on an e-mail and I quote her words:

"I am positive we used Royal Roofing. I still have the receipt I sent you. And I do remember the city of Plano came out and inspected it after it was complete.

I was very surprised when I read that about the roof on the inspection report. We have never had any problems with it. We had Royal repair the original roof years before that and they did a very good job. That is why we called them when it was needing to be replaced.

So no, no one has ever done any roof repairs but Royal. Would you like me to email you the receipt? It may still be under warranty"

After I read the e-mail I called Royal once again. Tanya answered the phone and could not say anything to me, she said hold on a second. When I was waiting I heard her saying "MIKE CALM DOWN, YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN"

He immediately took the phone and started yelling to me and ranting about how that was not their work. He will not fixed someone else's job. I am a very calm person and I repeatedly said to him to lower his voice to show some respect, that I do not appreciate being treated like this. That did not stopped him, he was still screaming to me and after about 10 minutes of me being VERY VERY POLITE he changed his tone.

He went on and on about how they are the biggest company in Dallas and they are not going to cover someone else's job.

From my perspective I am in the middle between Mike's word and the previous owner, who has nothing to loose because the house is already mine and any expense is my responsibility. But this is not what I am writing about Royal, as a woman and as a customer I have never in my life being treated like this. If you want someone to treat you with respect DONT GO TO ROYAL ROOFING and if you want a company to honor the warranty DONT GO TO ROYAL ROOFING.
