I am very happy with the work that Revision did for us. We opted for a battery backup system in lieu of an emergency generator in addition to the solar panels. The front office was very professional and guided us through the decision process. The crew on site was very personable, hard working and a pleasure to deal with. We opted for a Solar Edge system (controls and battery) and so far it has worked very well. We had a hiccup on a Saturday when we had a power outage. I called Revision and left a voicemail. Within an hour I got a call back, described what happened and an extremely competent gentleman came and fixed it. So in a span of about four hours on a Saturday, I went from having an issue to having it resolved. It was a software issue in the main control unit. Crap happens and it is how you deal with them that matters. Revision did very well.

We are now fully hooked up to our new REVISION ENERGY solar array and system. And we couldn’t be happier and more excited.
It took a while for us to arrive at the conclusion that solar was for us, and a while longer while I did the research to help us decide who would be the best provider for us here in South Central Maine. Our electric bill doubled in the last two years, while our over all consumption went down appreciably, so it was obvious that we should take matters into in hand and find a solution.
After exhaustive research and interviewing a few firms, we settled on Revision Energy as our provider. We have personal friends who have Revision Energy equipment installed in their homes and have other friends in the trades (Upscale home construction contractor, and an electrical contractor) who raved about Revision’s installations and crews, and how easy the Revision teams were to work with and the quality of their supplied equipment.
We quickly learned how this was all quite true. A simple phone call got the ball rolling. A nice young man came out to survey our project and promptly got back to us with a very competitive quote and left us alone to decide on our own. Their quote was in line with others we reviewed, but it also revealed much more useful information to help us decide. An analysis of our past power usage was conducted, and an array was proposed. After some back and forth, we decided to go a size larger with our array, adding in some extra panels to accommodate future increased heat pump use in shoulder seasons, and also the capacity to economically charge two electric vehicles. No drama, no nagging, just business done in a business-like way. Their financial arrangements were easy and without pressure.
When the big day came, the crew of five young, seemingly well-adjusted young people arrived on site early in the morning, a day early. Orientation to the property was completed in a few minutes, and not a second passed before ladders and equipment started coming off the trucks, very much resembling an army of ants organizing a staging area. It reminded me of a military drill, it was so well orchestrated. Each crew member was obviously quite talented, and each knew their job, and the job of the guy next to them. Bing, bang, boom, it all went up like organized clock work. Everyone worked efficiently and cleanly, and all were very respectful and communicative. Everyone in the crew seemed to enjoy being and working with every other crew member. It was a pleasure to watch and enjoy.
In the end, we received a brief tutorial on the works, and the site was left clean and neat, just as it was when they arrived. Also, at the end, each crew member expressed their thanks for our business and shook our hands. Nice touch. It doesn’t get any better than this. So, yes, we recommend Revision Energy highly for your solar project. Top gear, a knowledgeable engineering team, and a professional installation crew, who could ask for more?

Well worth the wait for my heat pumps! Installation team worked with me to find best sites for indoor and outdoor units- they were even able to lower the original quote by eliminating unnecessary add-ons. Since installation in January 2025, we've had temperatures well below freezing and the back-up oil heater has not kicked on even once. Would highly recommend.

Having our new hot water heat pump installed in December was so trouble free. Following a site visit/consultation, the Liberty/Montville Revision Energy team was able to schedule us at a good time, and their communications people handled all the details and kept us informed, including managing the paperwork for the Efficiency Maine rebate. The installation crew arrived on time, assessed the space, and had all the work done in less than a day. The hot water has been working without a hitch. It's great to see Revision grow: doing well while doing good! Revision installed a solar array for me in 2013 and over the past 11 years Revision installed six heat pumps and a second solar array. Revision makes it easy to keep coming back for more, with my share in a community solar farm significantly lowering my fuel oil bill and trimming my CMP bill down to the $26 monthly service charge. Revision has reduced my carbon footprint and energy bill at the same time!

Discovered from our electric bill that our existing solar array was apparently not producing anything. A diagnostic reboot of the system indicated everything was working normally, which was odd. CMP came out and checked their meter, and IT was functioning properly. And only THEN did the diagnostic on the system indicate something was awry internally.

Dan and Will came out and quickly determined that the problem was a malfunctioning inverter - which converts the DC produced by the system to the AC that is usable. They ordered a new unit, came out and installed it in a couple hours, and we're back on-line. In only a partial day, in January, we still generated over 10 KWh of electricity.

Dealing with Hugh by phone, and Jade via e-mail, was great as well. I'd be happy to recommend ReVision Energy to anyone considering a home solar array, or who needs any work done on an existing system. They've been first-rate and wonderful to work with from start to finish.

This company is very professional, courteous and fully competent in all they did to install my home solar project. Employees communicated clearly and were immediately responsive to comments and questions during the entire process. They made it very easy for me.

Amazing from start to finish. They worked hard to push my project through and over some big hurdles. Upgrading the transformer, negotiating curtailment agreements, advocating for my project with Versant - all of it. I couldn't have had a better team. It was much faster than I originally thought and I am super happy with the price and support I received every step of the way. My wife and I are overjoyed with our new 38 panel ground mount Solar Array. The entire crew at the Montville office was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond making sure we were comfortable with every aspect of the planning, the interconnection paperwork with Central Maine Power, the build out, the documents necessary for tax credits, and the Solar Edge monitoring system, just to name a few of the tasks. I think most importantly though is that they truly seemed happy for us. You can see that they love their jobs, and love the fact that they're helping people like us save money and cut our carbon footprints. After all, we're all on this rock together.

In this day and age, flexibility and in-the- moment problem solving is becoming a lost art. Complex projects will have moments where planning doesn't exactly match the real conditions on the ground. ReVision Energy ground-proofed a few new things in my recent addition of the last heat pump and an EV charger to my four year old ReVision project of 2 heat pumps, hot water heat pump, and Tesla battery wall. My (new to me ) used 2020 Chevy Bolt does not use a Tesla EV connection... yet my Tesla battery wall required a Tesla charger unit. What we learned is that the adapter for my car is indeed part of the Tesla charger unit; push a different button and the adapter comes out of the charging unit. We also learned that in a power outage, only a Tesla car would automatically disconnect from the battery wall if the car was being charged and the grid power was lost. The question was postulated... "Would a non-Tesla car disconnect?" ReVision did the research, found out the answer was 'no' and came back at their expense to put in a bypass solution so my car WILL disconnect in a grid power outage. I am so very impressed with this employee owned company! From the initial design meetings almost 5 years ago, through Covid complications in 2020 to dovetailing schedules with Horch Roofing that installed metal roofing where the solar panels would be on the roof to the green light to install the panels in 2021 and energize the system in December of 2021, this company has been fabulous.

I was scheduled for a new heat pump water heater and a few weeks before it could be installed, my old water heater "died"! My son and family were due to arrive with my 2 yo grandson (diapers!!!) the next day and no hot water!!!! Revision came to the rescue, and after some rescheduling, my new water heater was installed that Tuesday. We only had to boil water for spongebaths for a couple of days. I was impressed and very grateful for Revision's ability and willingness to help me out of a jam. And, they took my old water heater away!!!! I had the same positive response when I became a part of one of their solar farms. Always there to answer questions and help. Awesome company!

Revision under promised and over delivered as a company. I kept trying over and over to get this up to 6 stars, but I have no idea how. We have worked with different solar companies on different projects and were hesitant going into another project. From start to finish this company did great. Very professional from start to finish, great communication and excellent assistance with all the forms and paperwork. We contracted with Revision Energy in 2023 to install a PV system for our home. My overall impression is that Revision runs a very professional shop. From the sales person to the PV system designers to the installation crew our experience with them was top drawer. I highly recommend them.

Update 10/2024: We're approaching our first year with our PV system. The system produced all our electricity that included the air source heat pumps we use to heat the house.

Ready guidance and help that has brought us to a beautiful heat pump installation and ongoing work to see our remote solar installation to be realized in 2024.

As a long-time off-grid DIY kinda guy, I have to admit I wasn't to sure about the whole "grid-tie" thing and the scope and scale and complexity of the project - al the permitting, tax issues, approvals, grid-tie interconnect go aheads - seemed daunting. But Revision was there every step of the way. They handled just about all of the complicated stuff - tried hard to stay in good contact when things weren't exactly going according to plan, etc.

The system is up and running great - and I LOVE the $10.15 power bill with mounds of rollover credits. (why $10? I don't exactly know). The only reason it's 4 and not 5 may be my fault, but there was a financing misunderstanding that let to some unnecessary stress. It would be good if they could make it VERY clear what is due when, boiling down those long contracts to key important points, like HOW much will be due exactly WHEN and what THEY are doing and what I need to do. Still, a great experience overall and I'm glad to be farming my own sunlight, putting it into the house and car (which may, someday soon, be my "backup battery"). Longtime dream come true.

They have a knack for hiring the most personable staff for their office and on-site teams. They do all the “headache-causing” permitting and legal documentation for you. Very pleased with the installation. Electrical cost is zero. Made over 2 MWatts generated so far. Performance was low when we had wildfire smoke from out west and Nova Scotia.

I got solar installed in Febuary 2023, the crew did wait a few days for good weather. The crew was great and even had a roofer on the team! He took a look at a couple trouble spots and redid some caulking. I am very happy with the install and they take care in making the install look good. My CMP bill is now $13, that is the minimum bill for a grid tie system. I heat with a 4800btu heat pump and so the bill on the solar system covers my electricity and heat. On the cool months I break even but in the winter and summer I save a lot >$200.

It is hard to put into words just how much I appreciate the Montville team of nine professionals from ReVision Energy that made the 28 PV solar panels now installed on the roof a reality. The journey to renewable energy started in March 2022 with the outreach to ReVision. The first to come and checkout the possibility was Will. He spent well over 2 hours looking at the property and assessing the feasability of roof top solar, answering all my questions, and there were many. As soon as the proposal was written up I accepted it and then the journey to solar was started. I admit I was a little disappointed in the delay to actually get the panels up on the roof, but as it turned out the installation was completed earlier than expected. Dryw was next to visit for a technical site inspection. He even climbed up to look inside the attic space so he could assess the roof rafters. Jennifer took care of contracts and billing. Pam handled all the permits and utility interconnections with CMP. She was even notified by Jessie, the installation team leader, when our CMP meter had to be replaced because the old smart meter did not show the amount of power that was to be sent out to the grid. Pam notified CMP immediately including the new meter number as well as a photo of the new meter. Danielle, in scheduling, was the angel that informed me that they could begin the installation earlier than I expected. I was so excited on Dec. 5th when the installation team, Brody, Ben and team leader Jessie arrived at my home. They were able to get all the rails up on the first day, more than ½ of the panels installed the second day, thanks to an additional new member of the team Billy. On the 3rd day it rained, but that day was devoted to the electrical connections inside the garage. On the 4th day the remainder of the PV panels were installed and we were producing electricity. Jessie also set up the computer connection so that I can see, almost in real time what is being produced, consumed by us and what is sent out to the grid. Every single team member that I had the privilege to work with is highly skilled, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with; and I most highly recommend that anyone who wants to “Go Solar” should, by all means, contact ReVision Energy.

Had a service call from Jonathan to replace a defective inverter. It was under warranty from the manufacturer, and Jonathan took a great deal of time to install it properly, check its operation, and he helped me install apps on my phone to monitor it remotely. He was very pleasant and professional, right to the end of an unexpectedly long visit. Best service anyone could ask for!

When we decided to add solar to our home in Rockland we spoke with all the local Solar installation companies in the mid coast. We chose to go with Revision energy because they offered the most concise preview of what the installation process would look like along with a very realistic timeline. Revision installed a 14.5kw array for us 4 years ago and it has exceeded our expectations. They also installed two heat-pumps and a heat-pump hot water heater. These changes have saved us money and made our life better. The folks at Revision are smart and thoughtful. You can rely on them to be on the pulse of the latest technology and to install the highest quality products. Their workmanship is excellent.

From beginning to end, our experience with ReVision Energy was a pleasure. In accordance with Covid-19 protocols, the initial "site visit" was virtual, using photos we provided. Based on that, and subsequent conversations and emails, they tailored a proposal suited to our needs, incorporating a heat pump and ground-mounted solar panels.

They told us what to expect at each step of the way, including a timeline and the name of the individual responsible for each phase. The contracts clearly spelled out the terms, and when a modification was necessary (a required upgrade to CMP equipment), it was handled efficiently and promptly.

Because of the ground-mount, they dug a trench all the way from the array to the house in which to bury the pipe holding the wires. As they were digging, the uncovered rocks which we asked them to save for us. They neatly piled them to one side. They then filled in the trench, smoothed it over, and carefully covered it with a straw mat to prevent erosion and secured it to the ground so it would last the winter. We call it the "yellow brick road" as it looks like a path meandering gracefully back to the solar panels.

Individual crew members were pleasant to work with, observant of pandemic protocols, patient in answering our questions, and professional in doing their jobs. Clearly they took their responsibilities seriously. As owners of ReVision, they took the initiative, both in spotting potential problems before they arose, and in addressing inevitable issues that come up in any project this size.

We had ReVision install solar panels and a heat-pump water heater at our house this year. From the initial contact and planning stage to the install (all this during the pandemic), everything was handled in a clear and professional way. The communication was excellent throughout the process and all questions were answered quickly and carefully. The install is a marvel to watch, very neat and efficient -- they know how to do so well. I got two quotes that were pretty similarly priced, both had solid references. So it was basically the subjective feeling from the care put into explaining everything so clearly and the ease and rapid response from everyone at the company that tipped going with ReVision. Everything is working well, and it is great to be reducing our carbon footprint. I'm glad we went with ReVision and I recommend them with no reservation.

Unsatisfactory. I called in April to get them to replace a sensor. They begged for a couple of weeks due to the coronavirus slowing them down. I called back in July to see if I was still on their list. I called again last week (mid-September) and they haven't returned my call. I lost a whole summer of sun. I guess if you're not talking a big-money job, they're not interested in your business.

ReVision installed our daughter's rooftop solar, split heat pumps, and battery storage system in Massachusetts. They were EXCELLENT!! Great price, quality, and people.

Revision was excellent on installation, but pretty slow on our latest repair job. Admittedly, it was during the Covid-19 pandemic, so that may have affected their schedule. Ultimately, they did fix it and they were very apologetic about the wait. The called and wrote, so I know they're concerned about customer service and trying to keep us happy.

We had 22 solar panels installed last June. ReVision was great to work with and the whole process went smoothly. Before the install date, they kept us informed of the schedule and when an opening in their schedule occurred, they allowed us to move up three weeks (our option). While on site, they stayed in communication to make sure that details were handled to our satisfaction. We were 100% satisfied with the work and highly recommend ReVision to anyone considering a similar project.

Fantastic job at my home, feels good to know no electric bills during retirement. Crew members from Revision all worked together like a well oiled machine, work was FIRST class all the way. On top of everything else going solar just seems like the right thing to do.

I can not say enough about how wonderful it has been dealing with EVERYONE at Revision Energy. We took the plunge and installed solar panels, heat pumps and a heat pump hot water heater in an effort to get off oil. From start to finish the project went great. How often in this day and age do the employee owners in the company return phone calls the same day, e mails almost immediately and share their cell numbers? Seriously. We had amazing service response when the heat pump hot water heater needed a mixing valve installed. In fact, they had to wait for us to clear our schedule. My 24 panel install was completed in early April. All of the install crew were very professional, polite and friendly. They were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Over the course of the install, the job site was left perfectly clean every day. I have worked with ReVision for several years. They installed a hot water system on my hotel in 2008 and now a small photoelectric system at my residence. Their work, communications, and customer service is always first rate. I would recommend them to anyone...and have.

We have hired the folks from ReVision Energy three times for projects at our home, first to have a solar array and heat pump placed, second to increase the capacity of the solar array, and finally to have a Tesla Powerwall installed. The communication and customer service provided both before and after each project have been excellent, and all of the individuals who completed the work at our home have always been professional, skilled, courteous, and a pleasure to work with; that's why we have become repeat customers and we would not hesitate to work with the ReVision folks again should we ever have need.

Our experience (late 2018, early 2019) was superlative. The technology offered was extremely solid, proven and reliable. The process from first contact to site analysis; from our needs statement to their full engineering assessment, was remarkably customer-focused. The installation was painless and the installers weren't even fazed by a new type of standing seam on the garage roof. The technology in this area is developing and maturing at light speed. For example, our solar array design included 280W panels, but by the time we were ready for installation, the then-current panels were up to 320W of power. No cost increase. Just more watts for the same price.

Most importantly, beyond the technology, the analysis, and the installation, the actual people of ReVision are what makes this company special. I don't know if it's the fact that the employees own the company, or something else, but every single person we dealt with in the entire process was responsive, friendly (even funny), and totally focused on making sure we were satisfied with the process and the products. Our new house generates and stores enough clean, renewable energy to be completely energy-independent. We remain grid-tied for convenience only, and yet are confident that we will never have to pay much of an electrical bill again. And not contributing one penny more to Earth-destroying oil, gas and coal industries? That's the sweetest icing on the cake.

My dwelling was just a small, low-end hunter's cabin, but ReVision handled my new solar installation with the same professionalism and friendliness that they have with larger, more expensive places. The installation was high quality and the product itself is wonderful. I love the SolarEdge web site where you can view lots of details about energy creation, by the day, week, month, and year, and even play back the history. My only regret is that I did not accept their (multiple) doughnut offers -- I think they were honey-dipped, what was I thinking?

Revision was very helpful, with fast efficient service and timely follow up to questions we had. They did a site visit and had installed our new heat pump in less than a month.

Very easy communication and very thorough work - had our EV charger installed in a few hours. The electrician even helped me move the plants back over the area after digging the trench for the 240V power line. Has been working great ever since.

There is no question that Revision Energy is the most experienced and expert at residential solar systems in the State of Maine. We are energy auditors and energy efficiency contractors and find that working with Revision is a treat. They have developed the most trouble free installation process that I have seen, which is a testament that they are not "learning on the job" for your solar installation. Installing any mechanical system requires not only the best equipment but also the skills and experience to get the desired results.
