We just had a 20-panel setup installed in Palermo. Everyone we have talked to has been helpful and friendly, and the crew that came out for the final installation were great. It was fun talking to them all; Everyone was friendly and personable. The final build including electrics is high quality.

The SolarEdge equipment and the array itself are amazing technological marvels. I love the SolarEdge app and my wife and I feel that this is going to be a life-changing event. Even after a few days, the difference in consumption is profound. If you're undecided about who to go with, you won't go wrong with this group.

I contacted Maine Solar Solutions in March. They came out, took all the information they needed. A few days later they were here to shoot drone shots of the roof. On June 6 we had our whole system installed in one day. From the original sales person, to the actual installers, to the office personnel they have been amazing! We couldn’t be happier and their communication is excellent and very responsive. Thank you for an OUTSTANDING job!

Maine Solar Solutions' customer service is communicative and knowledgeable. I did my homework and research but they filled in the gaps and helped me understand the finer points. I felt absolutely no pressure from them in making my purchasing decision. I have natural gas heat and hot water so I didn't need a very large array but I never felt ignored or placed on the back burner. There are many steps to the process but they hold your hand the entire way. The installation team was friendly and professional. Their work was aesthetically pleasing and tidy. I really do want to stress how great their service is, because with an expensive product that is meant to last a long time you want to know that the service is there and it is.

Maine Solar Solutions is AWESOME. They literally guided me step-by-step through the whole solar panel experience. I was allowed to research the panels they offer, choose what I wanted, and decide how many I wanted and how close to edge the would be placed.

I asked a million questions and they answered everything without any waiting. The contract, net metering forms and all the associated paperwork was clearly explained with next steps to follow. It IS important to review everything very carefully. There were very minor corrections, FROM CMP, and NOT Maine Solar Solutions/MSS, but MSS helped me get it resolved.

I started the process at the end of Nov 2024, and their original estimate for installation was March. It is good practice to overestimate to the customer because the customer's timeliness can drastically affect the outcome. I am very detail oriented and extremely prompt. My efforts paid off! They are so professional, courteous, friendly, and prompt, also. My solar panels were up and running by mid-January, just after the holidays.

My system is working well. Now that the snow has stopped falling, I am excited to see my production every day. The app that records the systems performance is detailed and easy to use. I am addicted to checking it, on the app.

We were mislead to the point of feeling lied to about how the solar tax credits work. We were told we would receive the tax credits and be able to apply that money to the loan and get the payments down to where we needed them to be. They showed us a chart of loan payments with the tax credit amount removed to calculate the payments. You do NOT get the solar credits back as a cash value. Those credits are only useable if you owe taxes at the end of the year. You could conceivably never be able to use them if you never owe taxes at the end of the year. Stuck with a payment that’s well above what my electric bill was now. Extremely unhappy with the experience and feel lied to.

The work was completed with the quality that we were expecting. Our installation took several weeks to complete in part because they needed to run to get some items and then could not get back to our site quickly. I attribute this to inadequate planning. Ultimately we are pleased with the solar system. The workers were very friendly and listened to our questions and concerns. The site was cleaned up after they were done .

Every step of the process working with Maine Solar Solutions was easy--excellent communication, quick response time, and all the details handled beautifully.

My experience with staff , process and installation with Maine Solar Solutions was quite positive. Installation was 2 months ahead of schedule and technicians worked in the snow, wind and rain to get the job done. Would recommend without reservation.

Maine Solar Solutions installed an array with a Tesla powerwall 3 at my home. I am so pleased with new system's performance and the company could not have made the process any more easy.

MSS was a true pleasure to work with from the get go. I had fun designing the solution together with Stefan. MSS just made the process such a breeze and communicated well so I knew what to expect every step of the way. The installation went very smoothly and the system was up and running in half a day. A 3rd party warranty is included so I know who to call if there are any issues. Very easy decision to go with MSS, you will not regret it!

Maine Solar Solutions was great to work with from the beginning: they didn't need to meet with us in person, instead gathered the data needed by drone, which was a welcome time saver.

I am very happy with to do with the installation including communication with the workmen, their product, and the associated software that allows me to monitor my kilowatt hour production and usage.

I will acknowledge that some of the aspects of the communication both prior to installation and subsequent to it may be my fault and my failure to pay adequate attention to detail. It would have been helpful to have a singular contact person to communicate with prior to installation. They delegate responsibilities within the company, which is understandable, but makes it hard from the consumer perspective to know who to contact regarding any given issue.

Subsequent to installation, I became aware that I would be generating electricity prior to Central Maine Power crediting me for the electricity that I was generating. Again, I again acknowledge that perhaps I should’ve paid more attention to detail, and that this may be more of a CMP problem than a Maine Solar Solutions issue. It has however been difficult to get credit for the electricity I have produced prior to completed certification of our installation. Perhaps, Maine Solar Solutions could devise a mechanism to facilitate this transition process to make sure that no kilowatt hours are donated to the grid.

The bottom line; I would use them again without hesitation. By all appearances, they provide high-quality workmanship and product.

They were quick on getting us a quote. I highly recommend getting multiple quotes though. I had 2 other solar companies tell me my house is too shaded for solar panels. MSS quoted be around $40k to install panels and never mentioned our house being too shaded. I am glad we didn't move forward on a project that wouldn't have really benefited us. I emailed them asking about this discrepancy and just never heard back.

Everyone at Maine Solar did a great job for me. I am very happy with the installation. The guys came out and brushed the snow off the roof and had my panels up and the job was complete in one day very pleased with them.

I had just about given up hope of finding a solar energy company I could trust when a friend recommended Maine Solar. They are truly excellent to work with. From the initial call, through looking at design proposals and costs, all the way to installation and commissioning, they were consistently transparent and always helpful. I wanted my installation done by the end of 2024 and was told that they could not guarantee it, but would do their best. My system was turned on on December 31, 2024. Excellent work!

Great customer service, they offer a variety of solar panels and batteries, and are impressively responsive and helpful in the process. We were so pleased with the install and the crew was so kind and professional. Really a great experience.

We had MSS install our solar panels in October '24. As soon as we were able to view thew app showing our electricity generation, it was clear that we made the right decision.

Their estimate was considerably, even dramatically less than competing solar installers I spoke with, for an array that would deliver more kWh per square foot. Installers were thorough and considerate and monitoring equipment/services have been great. Overall a great experience and zero purchase regrets.

I have a PV system, grid connected, from Maine Solar Solutions. If I had to start over and do it again, I would choose them! from initial contact, which they responded in 15 minutes, to the install and paperwork, they walked me through it. I did get other quotes with the exact same Solar Edge equipment, but they were higher priced, and slow to respond. Included is a warranty for parts, labor and performance, which is transferable to susequent owners of the property. The installers were easy to talk with, answered my questions, and cleaned up afterward.

Maine Solar Solutions won our confidence early in the process of choosing to go solar. The company listened to our concerns and responded readily and professionally to all our questions. we spoke with several employees at various times, yet all of them knew us and our situation whenever we talked to them. they always answered the phone!! At one point we asked if our son-in-law could join in the video chat. he was immediately welcomed, and all his questions were answered. I can't say enough good things about Maine Solar!

My wife and I spoke with several solar installers and found the Maine Solar was substantially more reasonable than some of their competitors. The installers were professional, neat, and friendly and answered all my questions. The office staff guided me through the process of securing the necessary agreements with CMP, letting me know which documents needed my attention and which were informational only. And the App provides so much data on electricity production, usage, etc. that I keep talking with my family about it and they want me to shut up about it!

And my first CMP bill (which included 10 days without solar and 20 days with dollar) was $66 compared to the previous month's $250.

In an effort to reduce our ridiculously high CMP bills, we contracted Maine Solar Solutions to install panels on the roof of our garage. From start to finish, it was a seamless process. Working with their team (Nicole in the office was fabulous! Stephan was awesome! The installation team super professional!) was one of the best home projects since buying this house. All paperwork was handled with barely any grief (even dealing with CMP) and the finished system is cranking out power like nobody's business! The app is easy to use and overall, MSS was a total pleasure to work with. I'd give 10 stars if I could!

Good communication with Maine Solar from start to finish. Really appreciated their regular (but not too frequent) emails explaining the steps, what happens next, what to expect from CMP, etc. The installation team was professional, neat, and friendly and managed to do all their work without messing up my flower gardens! They sent their experts to come assess where the best spot for the solar to go and of the 4 acres they decided in the woods was a good idea. They barely cleaned up the mess they left in my basement (even though I left out an shop
Vac and a broom) and they ran over my leach field. So now half of our panels get about 60% sun and I’m going to have to hire someone to come out and clear the trees. All in all I cant recommend them. we were excited to finally go solar but now are disappointed in the work we were left with and we’ll have to pay more then we expected. The workers were nice but that was about it.

We are very happy with our solar system and our experience with Maine Solar Solutions. The process was pretty quick and well coordinated. Communications were very good. Most of the key paperwork, where possible is handled by MSS.

We got a few bids that were generally similar but decided to go with Maine Solar Solutions because they were local and did a more thorough site analysis utilizing a drone. Communication was great throughout the process. There were no surprises in cost but the install ended up happening months before it was promised. Install crew was very professional and we were pleased with the finished product. So far the system has been producing as modeled and we are very happy with our decision to get solar and to go with Maine Solar Solutions.

Maine Solar installed my system around May 15 2024. All of the gentlemen that worked on the installation were neat, efficient and friendly. I was guided through all the preliminary CMP grid tie paperwork by the office support staff well before the installation and provided with the property tax waiver information after. I would highly recommend them and will use them again when I decide to convert over to battery backup. A job well done!

From start to finish, the people at Maine Solar Solutions were fantastic to work with when we decided to have solar panels installed. Maine solar solutions installed our roof solar array four years ago and it was the best financial decision I've made. From the planning and proposal stage thought the install and commissioning and even continuing today with the service and reliability team all the folks at Maine Solar Solutions have been friendly, professional and timely. The only issue I have had with my system was an inverter failure that the folks at Maine solar noticed remotely before I noticed. They contacted me and set up a time to replace the inverter and had it back up ASAP all under warranty. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in a solar system.

Consultation\pre-install, they kept my needs in focus and did not try to up-sell me on more panels and heat pumps. They really understood my current needs, yet left it open for future expansion.

Install day, the crew were fearless rockstars carrying the large panels via ladders on a 45 degree pitch roof. I was glad they used safety tie-offs and harnesses. Their electrician answered all my questions when installing my inverter - specifically on how to still use my generator transfer switch. I needed to use that during the 2 storms that hit us post-install.

Post-install, they followed up regularly to make sure my meter was reconfigured for net metering and explained what my CMP bills would look like.

I just had my first CMP bill for the full month post-install. All I paid to CMP was the unavoidable delivery fee since I'm grid-tied.

TL;DR - they're great and I recommend them!

We recently installed solar collectors on our roof, with Main Solar Solutions. They came and measured our roof, presented us with two proposals (we took the larger one), walked us through the process of dealing with Central Maine Power, then did the installation. Our electric bill has decreased from an average of over $250 per month to most recently $21.55, which is CMP's monthly service charge. All the people we dealt with at Maine Solar Solutions have been courteous, proficient, careful and prompt. Everything happened exactly as they said it would. We were happy to deal with Maine Solar Solutions and are happy to recommend them enthusiastically. Additionally, we are looking forward to receiving the 30% tax credit on our 2024 federal income tax!

Maine Solar a top-notch solar company. Their proposals are very thorough. Their staff --- both sales and field are incredibly knowledgeable. Field survey was incredibly easy and I didn't even need to be home, nor did anyone need to punch any holes in my ceilings. Prior to selection I'd received pricing from another well-respected company and their price was more competitive (used price per kilowatt hours to compare apples to oranges quotes). The install team was punctual, very friendly and seemed to really enjoy their work and value their colleagues. Highly recommend their team!

I used Maine Solar Solutions to install my rooftop solar power system. The workers did a great job with all my requests (mainly that I wanted a symmetrical look on my roof and to have it look as seamless as possible) and I love seeing my power bill in the negative, even in the winter! They also worked with me to secure financing for a portion of my installation bill and that was also appreciated. I highly recommend this company. What a great experience! I received emails for every step of the way. The crew arrived right on schedule and they were so professional. Alright... So I'm a procrastinator. I'll admit it. I delayed getting a solar quote, I delayed signing on the dotted line so to speak, and I delayed writing this review.

I will honestly say that Maine Solar Solutions does *not* put things off! From my initial contact through the final steps of the process, they were prompt and did what they said they'd do when they said they'd do it; not common these days!

They spent time with us talking, asking questions, and most importantly listening. We knew the process and what to expect along the way. We had a contact at the office to ask questions that came up. We truly felt comfortable from start to finish.

They came to our house, took some measurements, and shortly thereafter we had several options to choose from. After we made our decision, they guided us along; making sure we knew what to do with Local, State, and utility documentation. We were contacted even earlier than expected for the install date. Which was a great bonus!

As I mentioned earlier, they came when they said they would. We had a wonderful install team--each one took the time to check in with us on the day of install and made sure we were good. The team was clean, polite, and efficient. We were up and generating right away.

Personally, I've never looked forward to an electric bill coming, but I was so excited to start seeing the difference. And what a difference we saw! We've been live for about 6 months now and really couldn't be any happier! If you're considering solar in any way, shape, or from it would behoove you to give Maine Solar Solutions a shot. Recently, we had an issues that the inverter was not registering the correct state of charge (SOC) of the batteries. While this is not a critical issue it could have indicated a much larger problem that, left unattended, could have become quite serious.

This issue was addressed immediately and the team of Mark, Nick and Philip-all working together seamlessly-solved the problem.

As a homeowner the only way to tap into the technical support from the manufacturers of the system (solar panels, inverter,batteries,etc) is through the company that installed the system. These systems are VERY complicated and VERY integrated and technical issues can be VERY difficult to solve.

I can't express how delighted we are with the fact that we did not have to go through the process alone.

The aforementioned individuals provided a constant, consistent and professional level of support.

Once we made the decision to go solar, we got a great recommendation to use Maine Solar in Freeport. The salesperson was extremely knowledgeable in answering all our many questions which made the process very easy. The installation team was very efficient and friendly and didn't mind me asking a million questions. I was amazed that the install was completed and making power in one day. Love the app to be able to see the energy produced on a daily basis. The office staff made it easy to process all the required forms. I have only had a few minor issues since my array was installed back in 2012 and the company discovered the issues before I did (via the online Enphase system) The two minor issues were both covered by the warranty and a service person was on my roof within a day and had the problems corrected. My system has already paid for itself and now is generating free power :-). I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Maine Solar Solutions!

We chose Maine Solar Solutions because of their ability to install both grid-tied and off-grid projects. We were not disappointed. Our off-grid project (camp) is complete and works great. There were some complexities that resulted in minor add-ons to the project (e.g., a 240 v converter needed to run well pump) and MSS was able to explain all the details. The finished install is everything we hoped for. We are also very pleased with our grid-tied project. MSS was extremely professional and took the time to explain everything and answer questions from beginning to end. Every project is different and MSS has the experience to do it right.

Once we decided to go "Solar", Maine Solar Solutions was recommended by an associate that already had it done. I found the process involved, but the people at Maine Solar Solutions led me through every step. Their totally professional but personable staff were a delight to work with (seriously!). The crew that installed my system had it done in less than a day and answered any questions I had respectfully. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the company's goal was to advance all their crew members to master's of the trade. After the installation, they have stayed in contact to help with the finishing touches; like getting setup on the grid with CMP, and setting up my home monitoring app. I highly recommend this "Maine" company to anyone interested in going solar power. Maine Solar did a wonderful job on my solar array from planning through the install. They are very efficient in communicating everything needed for the agreements with the power company. They take care of all the details so there are just a few easy steps required by the owner. The install team was great. They worked through the rain on the first day. They were very friendly and my dog still misses them.

The entire staff of Maine Solar Solutions is very impressive and dedicated. Solar Advisors Pauline, who reached out to us initially on a referral, and Erica were friendly and prompt at scheduling an on-site assessment and virtual proposal. Tod, our Solar Consultant, was a great listener when we suggested a different configuration of panels than his initial proposal, and adaptable when we continued to modify the configuration after our town implemented new regulations. Communications continued to flow well through Customer Experience Specialist Nicole and Jose for forms that needed to be completed and images that were needed to proceed with installation, which we did not expect until late December or early January. We were pleasantly surprised by a phone call near the end of September from Jared to schedule our installation over a two-day period the following week. The installation was completed in one day by an expert team. Nicole continued to follow up with information and ensured that we were finalized with Central Maine Power. We are very pleased with Maine Solar Solutions from start to end.

We are very happy with Maine Solar and how easy they made the process of putting solar on our home. We received quotes from various companies and Maine Solar put together the most comprehensive plan. The original install date was late October/early November and they installed in September, which was great. Highly recommend!!

We had our installation done in June of 2015 and have had zero problems the company took the time to properly size the system for our home based on our past power usage so we wouldn’t be buying more panels than we actually needed.
Most months our bill for electricity is extremely low and quite a few are the minimum of around $21 dollars and that is the charge to be connected to the grid.

MSS was excellent, constant feedback on status and their familiarity with the permit process to complete the install made this experience one of the most trouble free and straightforward experiences I've had from a contractor in some time. Highly recommend this group, A+ people and outcomes.
