I had Retex back out to my place today to inspect a job that I paid them to fix about 1 1/2 years ago. The warranty was expired so I knew basically everything thing the guy would say before he said it. The issue did not reappear before the warranty period so it's the customers burden. I paid them to fix a problem. They accepted my money, so I'm down $1200 with the same leak as before.

We had a great experience with Retex Roofing! Mark and team delivered quality work at a great price. We were on a tight timeline to sell our home, and they got the job done quickly and professionally, keeping us updated along the way (Thank you, Iris!). We contacted Retex Roofing to assess our roof which had been giving us problems for a couple of years. They gave us an estimate for repairing the problem section as well as an estimate for replacing the entire roof. We decided to do the entire roof.

Scheduling was quick and the replacement was completed in one day. We also opted for Soffit venting which took an additional morning.

Just had my 30+ year old roof and windows replaced by Retex and couldn’t have had a better experience. From the start the entire team is straight forward and transparent with the process. Their communication is phenomenal, providing timely updates throughout the entire project. I made known from day 1 my worry about damage to my garden and particularly my blueberry tree but the very first question the installation teams had on the morning of install was “where is the blueberry tree?” That meant a lot to me and gave me confidence that my concerns were being addressed effectively. I could tell the team took extra precautions when working around the tree with the roof and window insulation and no damage occurred to the tree! Would highly recommend!!

I was in need of a roof inspection before closing on our new home. Mark was very responsive and easy to coordinate with. Highly recommend. I initially reached out to Retex to assist with an emergency temporary repair on my roof and they were able to come out in a very timely manner and completed quality work. Retex Roofing has been a great company to work with. They are professional, very responsive and do high quality work. I was having an insurance issue with the roof of a rental house. Retex quickly completed the assessment, sent photos of the repairs needed and included items to be addressed when the roof would be replaced in the future. They completed the repairs within the week and sent photos. The cost was reasonable for the repairs done. I am very satisfied with the work and will use Retex when the roof needs to be replaced.

My experience was less than perfect.
Sales - good job I'd give a 4.9
Project management 3.5. Planning was lacking concerning product and dumpster placement. On the day of, the team lead was not there so communication was lacking until the project management arrived. The installation went ok, but I had a concern about the "smartvent" installation. The project management stated twice it was supposed be installed as it was. I followed up with smartvent who noted it wasn't their product. After researching I found they'd not installed the transitioning piece which left a void where bee's could nest or the shingles could break if stepped on. The sr project manager stepped in and had it corrected. So I give him a 4.5. All in all, the final product was good after I spent hours researching. Hence my 4 star rating

Retex has expertly replaced the roof on my shed and just last week replaced a bathroom vent that was leaking. The whole process, from getting an estimate to having the work done to coordinating everything through Iris, their most capable office admin was so smooth. I will definitely call on them if the need arises.

My better instincts must have been operating when I selected Retex to come give us a quote on a roof replacement. Before we got that far, it was fascinating to look at the roof from the viewpoint of a drone. Horrified to see the green stuff growing on the roof where shade is consistent, we knew we wanted this project done, and done quickly. We were also fascinated by their software used to give exact measurements.
We felt their quote was very reasonable, and okayed material and the job in general. They scheduled us about two weeks out. The only "negative" was that roofers like to start early in the morning, and the crew was exactly on time to demolish the existing roof. I left just after lunch time to avoid the machine gun effect associated with putting on a new roof. I came home several hours later, thinking I'd just have to hear some machine gun bursts, but lo, and behold, they had finished and done a great job of cleaning up. I don't understand the science, but we were able to get rid of the noisy attic fan and depend on their "ridge ventilation" which provides a more constant temperature for the attic with the movement of air. It isn't mechanical. I guess you could call it natural science. Throughout, everyone we met was very courteous and professional. We have absolutely no complaints, and we very much liked dealing with a home-based, family-owned company.

I give Retex 5 stars because that is all that I’m allowed, otherwise I would go higher. I contacted Mark Erickson at Retex to get an estimate to repair our backyard storage shed after a large tree branch fell and speared the roof during a violent thunderstorm. Within 30 minutes, he arrived, assessed the damage and provided an estimate. A week later his crew arrived and replaced the damaged section in a little more than an hour. So pleased with the finished job and the professionalism his crew demonstrated. Thank you Retex. I’ve recommended your services to my friends and neighbors.

Highly recommend Retex! I like the feeling of working with a local neighborhood company and not some big corporate conglomerate. We got several quotes for a new roof and Retex came in at a very reasonable price. The team from the sales, to roofing workers, to follow-up were all very friendly and professional. Mark was very upfront and honest about our options for add-ons, upgrades, etc. I never felt pressured or patronized into making a decision. I contacted 3 metal roofing companies and decided after the quotes to go with Retex roofing. Andy Connor came out and measured and quoted standing seam metal roofing on 6 areas of my house. He is very professional and knowledgeable and explained the metal roofing and Retex process on installation. After agreeing to go with Retex Mark Scarpino the Project manager contacted me and came out and confirmed the scope of the project. Mark then contacted me and scheduled the work to meet our schedule. The workers for Retex are very professional and do a great job of cleaning up the job site each day. I had one minor issue with the install and contacted Mark and he promptly came out to that day and offered a solution. Retex is very professional and will insure you are totally happy with their work. I highly recommend them, and will call them when I need the main roof replaced in the future with asphalt shingles.

The need to purchase a new roof came quickly and unexpectedly. I could not have been happier with the team at Retex for walking me through the process, answering all of my questions, and completing the project in an expedient time frame. Would (and have!) recommend!

Purchasing windows or a new roof can be a daunting decision. There are so many decisions to make. Style, cost, durability, features, quality, and warranty. Then the worry can set in on whether you are being sold something you don’t need by a high-pressure salesman or paying for a brand name that adds little to quality.

Fortunately, I found Retex roofing through a referral. My wife and I have had the best end to end experience we could only imagine. We had two projects completed with this company. We had our roof replaced, and 14 windows replaced. Every employee was extremely friendly and professional and cared about the end result and customer experience. We have not had a single bad experience. Sales, install, billing, and even the owner have been a pleasure to work with. Some of the reasons to use Retex are:
Communication – Everyone communicates promptly and often. The company strives to never leave you uninformed. The status of an order, to when to expect crews, to what will happen in a rain delay is always described in detail. They are always fast to reply to messages as well.

Quality – Their workmanship is top notch. Our house looks refreshed and ready to withstand another 70 years. The materials they used were impeccable despite the amazing value provided. We can already feel the difference of the new windows!

Speed – They quote (in terms of time) conservatively and over-deliver. Even with a rain delay, this company had the work done faster than expected. Our roof was completed in a day as were the windows.

Value – We have seen quotes from much larger vendors. I do not believe those larger companies would have produced this quality of work for the great price we received with Retex. They carefully explain all your options, what each is for, and allow you to choose what is the right fit for you.

The bottom line, I will never choose another company to touch my windows or roof while I live in this area. Job well done!

What an amazing company!!! From start to finish, this exterior overhaul of my home turned out fantastic. The patience and dedication to making sure any of my concerns were addressed immediately was absolutely astounding. I would highly recommend this company. We used them to replace a roof and what I thought would be a stressful event turned out to be anything but. Aaren in the office was wonderful to work with. She answered all my questions and set us up with Chris who came out right away to give an estimate on the roof and answered all questions promptly. A letter of introduction came right after, and Iris was assigned as our PM. She was on the job site and kept us informed of everything going on. The two gentleman who replaced the roof were prompt, pleasant and completed the job in a day (although a long day for them). They cleaned up everything and you could not tell that they were even there, except for the beautiful new roof. Very happy with this company and their employees. Communication was top notch.

I am normally review averse as many companies utilize them in a way I don't agree with but, I was blown away by the service and quality of work I received and I had to make it easy for others to support this business. Mark showed up initially to help with a recent roof leak, was patient, transparent and I asked for him to quote a siding and gutter replacement that I had given up on getting taken care of because of a bad experience with another contractor. Scheduling was a breeze also with Iris, and Erin was helpful also in the main office line. The other Mark, managing the project, was equally communicative, transparent, and patient with all our questions. Both Marks even helped with some aesthetic decisions about color. My only complaint is they don't offer more home renovation services as it is very difficult to trust companies without a word of mouth recommendation and I have more Id like to get done. Thank you, also thanks to the people I didn't remember the names of throught this process!

After a heavy rain, I had a minor leak in the corner of my skylight. I called up Retex the next morning and they had someone out to look at it the next day. Mark came by and explained very clearly what he thought the problem was, and then went up and confirmed it. This demonstrated quickly that they knew what they were doing. A day later they came out, removed the skylight, replaced the old custom flashing with a flashing kit, and replaced the nearby shingles with a close color match, all before the next storm came through.

We hired Retex to reside a portion of our house. During their work, they identified some termite damage (obviously not ideal). Retex let us know immediately, was able to repair the damage, and coordinated seamlessly with our pest guy. The entire time, Retex was incredibly responsive and transparent. The work was done quickly and professionally.

Retex did an outstanding job replacing my roof. The project manager Iris was always keeping me up to date on progress. This company is a closeknit group of friends and family that truly sought my satisfaction. My 1953 recently purchased home had been a bit neglected by previous owners requiring obvious attention after a ceiling leak. During the roof replacement I requested an unused brick chimney be removed and roofed over plus the worn mortar cap and flue of a different chimney addressed. Retex was my one stop shop and each trade was superb. Pleasant certified workers were prompt at arriving during the 2 day (rain delayed) project. There were no surprises from beginning to end. I have only good things to say about Retex. There were no negatives.

Flawless process from Andy checking our leaking skylight to assembling a team quick to tarp off just in time for some serious rain. The skylight looks amazing. We will probably be in touch for the other 2 skylights not to mention other some work. Great job!

It was very easy to work with Retex Roofing from very beginning. I had two estimates to replace my 22 years old roof before I called Retex. Mark Erickson gave me few options. I picked Retex and last Saturday at 6 AM their team was on my roof. We are living in a 87 years old house and they found few problems and they fixed everything on the spot. Job was done by 7 PM but they didn't go home before a very good clean up. We are very satisfied with the job done and I recommend Retex not just for the honest price, for quality too.

I’ve had two great experiences with Retex, including rewrapping about a dozen windows, repairing some roof flashing, and replacing 3 windows over the course of 2 years. The quality of work is always very high, though what impressed me the most was the customer service. They are transparent in pricing, thoughtful in their approach (even when it reduces the bill), prompt, courteous, and generally outstanding. Highly recommend.

I had Retex put on a new roof and do all new windows in my house. They showed up on time, were polite, great communication, and you could tell they have a really great system that handles everything so nothing falls through the cracks. There were a couple small problems with the windows where one showed up cracked and one was an incorrect size. They immediately did what was necessary to remedy it and a few weeks later those new windows showed up and got installed. They also did a pretty good job cleaning up after themselves. Would highly recommend them!

I was referred to Retex by a local inspector I know. During a bad storm, I noticed a leak in my roof and requested a quote that night. Andy came out the next day, located the leak, and temporarily fixed it to tide me over. He also removed a fallen branch, explained my options clearly, and provided a fair quote. And they did a fantastic job with the roof and gutter/downspout replacements...the new roof and gutter/downspouts look fantastic...(and no leaks)!

I had received two estimates for a roofing job. One, for $6,500, basically a patching job, shingles on top of shingles. The second was $36,000 which still blows my mind. My granddaughter and her husband work for a company that maintains rental properties, single family homes and apartments. They recommended Retex. I was surprised to get an appointment for inspection/ estimate within a few days and even more surprised that the estimate wasn't a lot more than the patching job I had been quoted. Even better, Mike offered a finance arrangement that fit my circumstances perfectly. Within a few more days I had a lovely new roof. The crew was prompt and polite, finishing from demolition to clean up in one day. Even blew off the driveway. My neighbor was impressed enough to recommend Retex to his daughter and she recently contracted Retex for a major repair. I would not hesitate to recommend Retex for any of the work they do.

A day before our open house, we accidentally cracked our sun roof. I called Retex, and after listening to the problem, the receptionist made us a high priority. First thing next morning, someone came out, gave me an estimate, and booked me for getting it fixed at noon that same day. Patrick came out on time and completed the job before our afternoon open house. The work was great, and the customer service was fantastic. We will use Retex again without hesitation and strongly recommend them to others. They Laurie literally saved the day.

The team of experts that removed and built my new roof were exceptional - courteous friendly, and not a nail or any others materials left behind after the job was completed.
There was no indication that I got a new roof installed with the exception of seeing the new roof. My entire experience from beginning to end was simply exceptional!!

We had siding and new windows done. Our home looks like a brand new home. They did an outstanding job! Mark the project manager made sure everything went smoothly during the entire project, if I had any questions, he answered them all.
The work is superior. They cleaned up afterwards left no debris. The estimate was reasonable, I would definitely use them again if needed.

Really happy with the new roof I got from Retex. The quote was fair and I chose them because I'd spoken at length with the owner Josh at the home show and he patiently explained why I couldn't keep my beloved slate. Tearing it all off was a long, hard day for the techs but they were inexhaustibly professional and two days later, the project manager Mark was thorough in ensuring the work had been done to specification. All around great experience.

Andy and John came out for a service call. They were extremely prompt, knowledable, and are my go-to guys for any roofing issues. I can't praise them and their work enough.

They took a look at the roof and the gutters, gave a diagnosis and pointed me in the right direction for a service that they don’t currently provide. I called due to my 96 year old Grandmothers bedroom ceiling falling through (not to mention this all happened on her 96 birthday) :( due to a leaking roof, so needless to say we were frantic in finding a roofing company. I went to the Better Business Bureau website and found that Retex Roofing had a A+ rating and excellent reviews! I'm so happy that I called, they were professional, polite and promt and they also showed great empathy to my Grandmother and our situation. They were just overall what you hope to expect when you call someone for help! They were able to come out right away and we met with John! We were giving an estimate for a brand new roof that day, because basically it was time for a new roof, repairing it would have led to more issues in the future. They also were able to start that same week and we were informed of the process every step of the way by Josh! Who sent me pictures and a video of the roof while work was in progress. Really impressed by Retex from start to finish on our whole house window replacement. The crew worked 10.5 hours on day 1 to make sure all windows were secured prior to finishing them the next day. Excellent communication from the sales and project manager folks as well, plus they’re both named Mark, which makes it easy to remember! Great pricing and quality of work. I’ve worked with a number of contractors so I don’t say that lightly. Extremely well run operation.

Had a couple jobs done. I should have asked more questions about the various quotes. I was a little upset after having one leak fixed to having another leak spring up a couple of weeks after the work was done. I told the guy I wanted to have stuff done so they didn’t have to come out for a third time in the same year. I guess I didn’t select the right quote option because they seemed to have only fixed the leak. Now I have to find another company to take come and inspect. Not thrilled.

Retex is quick to get to work and slow to Billie send pictures which I found a little frustrating. Everyone there seemed nice and professional. Would recommend maybe expressing needs more clearly than I did and maybe having someone walk through the quotes after receiving them.
