We had Hardie installed in a townhome and worked with Thomas to deal with initial sales and project management and Scott in the field. There were no issues because they caught them all. A wet and windy six months later, Tredegar's whole-house, siding replacement is still solid and stunning. The original siding of my '90s, 2+story detached home had unmoored after 30 years of wind. Like a large bellows, still attached to each other, the siding consistently slapped against my walls since I bought my first home in Richmond city post 2020.

Eventually whole strips of siding fell off , I called my insurance company, who agreed to fix one-side of the home.

Tredegar was one of three companies I called, based just on Richmond area Google reviews. Only Tredegar fulfilled my request for two price quotes 1) just the most damaged side 2) replacing the whole house; met with me in person to review my property, damage extent, general idea of project before hand; did NOT require an 'exclusive' contract before providing an estimate; and gave direction navigating insurance.

David Jordan interacted directly with my insurance agent, was able to get additional interior damage covered in the claim, and worked for months trying to get the entire home covered for reimbursement.

Though insurance didn't cover the whole house, David and Tredegar saved me hundreds maybe thousands of dollars with insurance claim add-ons.

After my contract signed the Tredegar team went into gear. Administrator Pam Rambo got me set up online where I could interact with the project manager, site manager, review the progress stages, look at before/after photos, sign important contracts and pay my final bill.

If weather or unforeseen issues caused postponement in my start date, another David, the PM, was on the phone letting me know any impact which was minimal.

Scott Sanchez was my project's charismatic site manager. He reviewed my home a week before the project, let me know how to set up (remove the wasps' nest), placed permitted 'no parking' signs for the dumpster, and chatted with curious neighbors reassuring the quick resolution.

The dumpster included porter johns delivered the night before the start date! The installation team every morning by 7:30AM until the project was complete about a week and a half later. Every evening the site was clear of any hazards and trash discarded by 7PM.

The whole installation team was professional, thoughtful and thorough. They took care of my property and respected my close neighbors. Their detailed siding trim work I could never imagine caring about before witnessing. They replaced damaged boards, secured my small covered walkway, and asked clarifying questions based on my preference.

As a 90's quick build home, there were unusual circumstances that needed solutions. I was impressed with Scott's respect for the installation team, taking their considerations and concerns seriously, working with Project Management and broader Tredegar expertise to fully resolve the issue.

The problem led to a price and time increase (screw cost vs nails and a day plus half) I felt was reasonable. First suggestion for new gutters I scoffed at but then added on half way through, a great decision. I'm also happy Scott told me to grab a new mailbox and outdoor lights.

Some additional suggestions were offered and considered but were not added on to the final project. I felt they were out of scope, Scott accepted my decision and did not press for an additional sale. At no point did I feel scammed, pressured or felt as if information was being withheld. Tredegar throughout the organization was honest about their service, the outcome, and the cost.

I'd like to shout out Seth Scudder who covered for Scott over his quick vacation. And the painters were better and faster than I thought possible.

I tried to match the color for the neighborhood feel, though the fresh replacement, obvious quality, and Tredegar's attention to detail really make the house pop when going past.

I'd gladly hire Tredegar Construction LLC again and would encourage any home owner to do so. And you should leave some cold drinks in yard for the crew.

Tredegar does it all. They do good work but they also double check and do a once over before completely the work order. The esthetics mean just as much as the practicality of the job. For example, we had a chipped brick in our chimney but not to worry. Our project manager sent the chimney repair men back out to fix it. The repair was done well and we can't even notice it. Another example, a few slate pieces were layed crooked, and so the project manager fixed that too (with an eager and kind spirit I may add). Jeremiah and Luke are the best team.

We never felt like we were bothering them with our questions or asks.

Regardless of how big or small your job is, they treat you with respect completing the job to the fullest and never leaving anything behind.

Called Tredegar to come take a look at our roof after some wind damage. They had someone at our house less than 48 hours later for an inspection. The quote was in-line with others we received and upon approval, Tredegar had our roof fixed within 10 business days. Great communication, reasonable prices and A+ work.

I have a flat roof on a very old house. It was very difficult to find someone to replace it. They did an EXCELLENT job!!! I highly recommend them and wished they had more areas of renovations I could use. Also, it was it was priced reasonably. Hard working people.

We had our windows replaced, some exterior trim work done, air sealing and insulation work completed recently. Our experience with Tredegar was top notch. Everything looks lovely and we're so thrilled with the way the new windows look and operate. Plus we are already seeing an impact on the comfort-level in our house and our electric bill. While it is no pleasure to discover that your home has major roofing issues (because it is raining in your guest room), Tredegar Construction was (and is) magnificent. From the visit of their estimator (thank you Thomas!), office support (thank you Pam) and roofing/gutter teams (thank you Dave, Seth, Jeremiah), I experienced wonderful service, clear communication, and a great outcome despite the added complications of a busy holiday season.

Tredegar did an astounding job with new siding, trim, roof vents, and soffit/fascia for us. They had great attention to detail, and cleaned up very thoroughly after they completed work for the day. The crew was very receptive to feedback as well, and everyone was so nice to talk to. After fighting with squirrels nesting in our front porch roof for several months, we called Tredegar to have the rot and holes repaired and our gutters replaced. Brendan Frantz came out, evaluated the damage and gave us a very reasonable quote. Scott Sanchez was our field superintendent came over shortly after to introduce himself plan out the project. He remained in contact throughout the whole project and was very transparent about his schedule and when he would be available to work and went out of his way to ensure the project went quickly and smoothly. He made sure any minor mistakes or imperfections were corrected and was up to the extra challenge of squirrel-proofing our roof on top of repairing the rot in the fascia boards. Our new gutters and new fascia board look great and the squirrels have moved on. Pam in the office was incredibly responsive and helpful as well. David, who was in charge of scheduling also was very responsive and kept me in the loop as to when our project would start. I would hire Tredegar again for any future projects.

If you have a major exterior project on the horizon— look no further than Tredegar Construction. Faced with a total siding and window replacement, I began collecting bids for my project and was immediately blown away by the level of detail in Jack’s quote relative to others I had received, all at a competitive price. I would consider myself a difficult client— picky, a penchant for picking out all that is “special order,” indecisive, but Jack was incredibly patient as I took over a year to flesh out the final design. He reworked the quote at least 5 times as I went back and forth in my decision making, and made me aware of every potential option available. Once we had a plan in place, Scott entered the picture to manage the project and make everything reality. Scott is exceptional— from peace-keeping with my neighbors, to his attentiveness when I had an after-hours emergency with Dominion, he went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, informed, and happy with the results every step of the way. I also need to shout out the crew— they were incredibly skilled and efficient, and I've never seen a tidier work site! Will 100% be recommending to all of my real estate clients. Thank you!!!!

I have had Tredegar do 5 projects at our house:
1) new roof on my house and 2 additional structures
2) encapsulate the crawl space using closed cell spray foam
3) dry wall and spray foam insulation on two bedrooms we renovated
4) New windows in those bedrooms
5) New gutters

Their workmanship is top quality. All of the various work crews were professional and did not cut corners. In addition, the project managers are knowledgeable and the back office support is great. I would highly recommend Tredegar. I have been 100% happy with all 5 projects.

Can recommend this company enough. To start with, they were able to replace our roof within weeks of our initial request to have someone check out a leak. They were very communicative throughout the entire process as well as professional. When running into rotting roof issues, they took great pictures and communicated the best they could about additional charges for repair.( this was expected tbh). They completed my roof in a day and a half and left without a trace of them being there (besides my great looking roof).
I stand by my 5 stars but would suggest Tredegar deep dive more in depth when working to create a work estimate. Our entire roof had double shingles which caused for more work to be completed which is not on them. But it was not caught in the initial lookover resulting in our total for the job to increased. Either way, will be suggesting Tredegar to everyone. Very professional, affordable, and easy to deal with

They replaced my siding with Hardie Plank, as well as new ceiling insulation. From the bidding process, they went above and beyond, providing a 3D render of what to expect, finance options, and helped me value engineer what I want from what is going to be a great long-term value. Scott, my project manager was super communicative, helpful, and positive through the summer heat. He even replaced some of my older gutter leaf guards with matching copies from his own personal supply when he wanted to ensure the end result was the best he could deliver. Every step of the way was a breath of fresh air compared to some of my experiences in the past with other companies. Thank you for the great work!

Update, Dec 2024: Tredegar replaced my roof. We worked with Tredegar again because they were so great to work with before. The planning team was communicative and knowledgeable and the install team worked quickly and did a great job. Tredegar kept up the same quality of work and service as before and I'd be happy to work with them on whatever else I'd need.

May 2024: Tredegar installed gutter guards on my house. The cost was competitive with other companies we talked to. The process for getting a quote and planning for the project was seamless and the staff were experienced and knowledgeable (and happily answered my silly questions). The install crew was fast and very easy to work with. Overall Tredegar was great to work with and provided a quality product. I would definitely work with them again!

Tredegar replaced the asphalt shingled roof on our Dutch Colonial last week and I've been pleased with the process. They were timely, kept a clean site, communicated and documented well and the product looks neat. Would recommend.

After getting in touch with multiple local companies for a quote on a roof repair, Tredegar was by far the most thorough and open with their recommendations. They never pushed for extra work and kept updating me throughout the process to make sure I understood and agreed with everything. The work was done quickly and well (and competitively priced), and looks great! If I ever need more work done they'll be my first call.

I had Tredegar replace my roof in February, 2024. They did a great job from the quoting process to job completion. The people were friendly and helpful throughout the process. They were competitively priced and were able to get me on the schedule quickly (my roof had some active leaks due to fallen tree limbs). I highly recommend Tredegar.

If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! I had an easy Point of Contact with the project manager for any questions. The site supervisor was very courteous and would text or call with any questions/clarifications. They clearly communicated the options I had available for different products. I will definitely use them again!

I hired Tredegar Contruction because of the great job they did on my parents' home a couple of years ago. I hired them to do the shingles, windows, siding, and gutters on my house and small shed. They also handled some personal touches I wanted around the house also. The employees were all highly skilled at where jobs. They made sure my home was kelp safe and well cleaned after every workday. Scott Sanchez did a great job keeping me informed about what was happening each day and over-seeing the work crew. Scott also was the man that took that first walk around the house to see what I was looking for and he had lots of good ideas that I liked. With Scott in charge of the job I had no worries at all. My home looks great and I'm very happy with the money I spent.

Tredegar Construction replaced our roof, siding, and windows and the overall experience was outstanding from start to finish. Tredegar was easy to work with, did a great job, and was reasonably priced. They were very transparent about the knowns and unknowns of our siding repair project, which made the process much less stressful when there was (surprise!) more damage than visible beneath the rotted siding. We are so pleased with the work Tredegar Construction recently completed replacing all of the siding on our house to Hardie plank. Throughout the entire process they took to our specific concerns and suggested improvements. Jack listened and answered so many questions so we were able to understand exactly what was being done. He helped tailor our quote to fit our budget while also fixing all the must dos. The crew who worked on our house were very talented. Everyday they left our house clean and safe which was important with a little toddler and dog. As with most old houses other problems were discovered along the way. Tredegar worked to get their plumbers and electricians out to repair and stay on track. Tredegar took the time to make sure everything done on our house was perfect. We have received many compliments on the work done on our house. We will definitely use Tredegar for future projects.

I hired Tredegar Construction to repair/replace some attic insulation as well as the vapor barrier in my crawlspace. Responsiveness and timelines were key for my and they hit the nail on the head. Did not have to worry about anything. Would definitely hire again.

Bryan came out and quoted three different jobs at my house, but I decided to only have Tredegar replace my shutters. However, I wish I had gone with them on the other jobs. Scott handled my project and Darwin did the install. Scott made sure the shutters were perfect, double checking sizing and making sure caulk on some exposed holes matched the siding. Darwin, not only installed the shutters, but he noticed some nails in the roof shingles and caulked them, and unlike the other contractors I had over, didn't leave a mess. Even after they were paid, Bryan brought over the shutter color samples again so we could match to paint for our front door!

This was our second time using Tredegar for projects on our home, and it will not be the last. We continue to go back to Tredegar because they are upfront about everything that goes into a work order and will always give honest guidance that helps you achieve your vision for the job. They are punctual and communicative every step of the way.

For this job they re-did our roof on our shed that was in poor condition and was leaking water into our shed. They replaced the decking underneath and put the new roof on and installed a drip edge all in half of a day. The site was left clean and we were left happy with our brand new roof at a very fair price. I cannot recommend Tredegar enough.

I had a really good experience with the work the team did on my house and garage. They removed my old siding on both garage and house, repaired some damaged wood in various areas, rewrapped all my doors and windows, installed new shingles and a ridge vent on the roof of the garage, and installed gutters on both the house and garage. I was amazed at how fast and professional the job went. They contacted me before each part of the job was done and kept me updated on everything. I would use Tredegar construction again and highly recommend them to anyone that needs work done.

I had Tredegar come out to replace 7 windows in my 100 year old house. They did a great job of providing windows that fit with the look of the house (including two VERY large windows on the first floor). The price for the windows and installation was very reasonable, and everything was installed in 2 days (would have been one day if not for a single, stubborn window on the 3rd floor). Everything looks great and I'd recommend them for any window installation job.

I used Tredegar and I would use them again, as the listened to my needs about my project and didn't provide me with the easiest solution as many other companies had offered.

I had 5 companies quote me on my project and Tredegar was the only one to tell me what I needed and not sell me on bells and whistles, responded to ever phone-call or email or question, and SHOWED UP ON TIME!

The Tredegar team took out 80 years of damaged insulation, original flooring and other oddities in my attic. Tredegar then air sealed my attic, added insulation to code, added storage area back to my attic.

When there was an issue with my project I was the first to know and there was not any excuses used just solution provide. I was pleased with my choice to go with Tredegar and with the outcome of my project.

Tredegar worked with me on a rental property renovation. Even when the scope of work dropped from full reno to just a roof replacement, they followed through on just the roof quote, which was the best quote I received. When we were going over the full reno, they sent depictions of the house with various siding/roof colors and also sent me a selection of black/gray roof colors when I was deciding about the roof. During the work, I asked if I could keep the bricks they were removing from the chimney, and they piled them to the side of the yard for me. Work was done in one day and all communication was extremely professional and easy. Quotes, Invoicing, and payment all happened easily online. Highly recommend.

I used Tredegar to remove old insulation and replace it with new blown in insulation. I also had some gutters installed on the house. Tredegar was great, from the quote and sale process, to the actual project. The project manager was on top of his game and everything went as predicted. My energy costs have gone down dramatically. They sent someone out to give me an estimate to insulate the attic of the house. I was to get an email of the estimate within a couple of days. We'll, I never got the email or any other contact with them. I don't know if this a legitimate company or not. Maybe they sent people out to case your house so someone can come back later an burglarize it.

Tredegar Construction exceeded my expectations for a job well done. I had lower bids on the project, but, could see immediately that the folks at Tredegar had far more expertise on my particular type job than the 'cheaper firm's. Turns out that they actually were the best choice by far.

The job was for a replacement roof over a 4 season Sun Room that had ti tie into the existing roof line perfectly. I made the right choice because I couldn't risk the job by using people who were unfamiliar with the most modern roofing products and technologies.

Updated Review (June 2023): It’s been about a year and our new roof and siding are doing wonderfully, we couldn’t be happier with the work.

We recently tore out the deck in the back of our home and asked Tredegar to come back out and help us redo some of the siding now that the deck is gone, and, just like the first time, it was a great experience. Johnny and Scott are wonderful people to work with, and we couldn’t be happier (again) at how they’ve helped us improve our home. We’d highly recommend them to anyone!

The care and professionalism displayed by Jack, Johnny, Scott, and the others blew us away, and the final result was a modern, professional version of our home that went beyond our wildest dreams.

Tredegar did our vinyl siding a few weeks back, when it was icy, snowy, rainy and cold. The installation crew showed up day after day--when the snow and rain allowed it--even before starting time to get the work done. Because I am naturally curious about how things installed from a mechanical point and also wanted to make sure the work was getting done as promised, I actually spent a good amount of time outside observing the crew. I don't know if I annoyed the crew--if I did, I hope the occasional coffees and cookies I gladly provided because of the freezing weather in which they worked helped--but they worked carefully and efficiently. When I suggested a different way of handling the wrapping of a trim or something else around problem areas, they were open to my suggestions and changed accordingly, or told me why what I suggested would not work. This is all I needed to know. Scott and Johnny did certain parts themselves. They were very understanding, accommodating, and professional. For example, when the new outdoor lights' (purchased them myself) base did not perfectly fit the existing "light trim," Johnny, in consulting with me, made a little extra trim piece to make it seem it was designed that way. Scott carefully inspected the work of the installation crew and touched up whatever needed to be done. My railings (at two porches) were carefully and sturdily installed. My 2 exterior door replacements were also done very nicely. Overall, I am happy with the work Tredegar did! My wife has been saying how happy she is that we did this. A few neighbors commented how nice the house looked. It was nice to hear that we weren't the only ones who thought that. I would highly recommend Tredegar. They are good at what they do. They are responsive, explain why they are doing what they are doing, and accommodating when you change your mind about this or that along the way. I would call them again. Thanks guys!

We had a great experience with Tredegar Construction. They obviously care about what they do and about their customers. The roof, soffit repair, and gutter guard installation went smoothly. They are extremely responsive and easy to work with. I would recommend them highly.

We just had gutters installed by Tredegar, and as first time homeowners, it has been the easiest home improvement project yet. Jack provided our estimate, Pam helped us with scheduling and coordination, and Scott was our contact/supervisor for the job. All three provided excellent and prompt customer service, they were always responsive and helpful, and our gutters look great. Would recommend and will definitely consider them for future projects!

Tredegar gave me a new house-beautiful siding, new windows, new trim, and it was all done professionally and with care. Everyone at Tredegar was great to work with and every single thing they told me they would do was done. Scott was great at communicating with me throughout the process and making sure I knew what the guys would be working on each day. When the job was done, they cleaned up and made everything look immaculate, just in time for Christmas. It was a pleasure to do business with such hard working, honest people.

Very pleased with choosing Tredegar for our roofing needs. They were professional, attentive and easy to work with. The installers started early and stayed late. When job was complete, they left no debris and we are completely satisfied with results. I feel like we received a great roof at an affordable price.

Tredegar has recently completed an extensive revamp on my house. There are four shingled peeked roofs, and three flat roofs on my house. They rebuilt sections that had become water damaged on the roofs and siding, as well as replacing all of the roofs. Their crews were exceptionally competent and efficient and there were no unpleasant surprises at all. They were willing to listen to my concerns, address all issues, and they stayed within my budget. I had no unpleasant surprises, and no mess to clean up.

They did a GREAT job installing my new roof! They responded quicker than expected and were very professional. They had more roof selection choices than any other companies I'd received estimates from. They arrived promptly, my roof was completed in one day and I was very pleased with the service and professionalism I received from the roofers, the accountant and the owners. They were recommended to me and I recommend them to anyone needing a new roof! I may go back and get new gutters!

We were really impressed and thankful that Tredegar came to our aid. Our roof is very high and was literally coming apart on the arch. The Owners and workers were great!
