Precision Roofing and Construction - Port Huron, MI

I had a new roof put on and they did a good job. The problem was the price. They came out and quoted the job after inspecting my roof gave me a price just under $14k. Once they tore the roof off they said the manufacturer would not warranty the new roof without replacing the wood. There was nothing wrong with my wood but it is original to the house and had half inch spacing. So for another $7500 they would replace it. Well they brought in $700 of quarter inch plywood and just nailed it over my old wood in a couple of hours. When I questioned the extra $6500 for two hours labor they said that is their pricing policy. What a rip off. So the lower price they offered ended up costing me a whole lot more than the other two estimates I received. Bait and switch. They should have known this when they came out to estimate it. They did not even replace the wood because it was still good, just nailed new wood on top.
1/10/25 You are correct it was 7/16 wood that you used. You guys did a nice job on the roof. My issue is the enormous amount of labor to nail new wood over existing boards. When it was quoted is when I feel the problem started.

Precision Roofing has done a few jobs for me. I've been using contractors for the last few years and so much of it has been a bad experience. That's why I can say with confidence that Precision Roofing is one of the good ones. They have someone that handles the customers, which makes the process from start to finish, much easier. The people who come to do estimates are on time, knowledgeable and polite. They did a large job that involved removing my back stairs, 2 exterior doors and replacing siding. They also repaired a leaking roof vent and installed metal fascia to prevent squirrels that were chewing holes in the wood. So it doesn't matter if it's big or small, I know Precision Roofing will be there when I call, and I will be calling them again.

Precision did a fabulous job with vinyl siding our home and adding lattice around the front porch and backyard deck! We had truly the worst looking home on our street and they completely transformed it. They are perfectionists with the work they do and do not rush through the job just to get it done. We are proud when we look at our home now. We would highly recommend them.

I had Precision Roofing put a new roof on my house and garage . They did the best job ever. The color just pops! They cleaned up after themselves, if there was any dirt on the siding they cleaned that too! What a wonderful company!! If anyone needs a new roof, I’d call Precision Roofing!!

Five stars plus to Debbie, Cory, Harrison, and Breann who from start to finish provided me a well needed relief from contractors who were too busy to do a smaller roof repair job. Until I had contacted Precision Roofing, I was unable for almost one year to connect with a roofing company, contractor, or a handyman with roofing expertise to commit to the job.

From first contact with Debbie, I was informed that a consultant would be scheduled to inspect the problem within two weeks. This happened as stated and Cory came out to look over and provide a plan of action to resolve a leak from a bubble skylight or tube skylight. Two quoted prices were given depending on if the skylight could stay or would be removed. Within two weeks of Cory providing an inspection and suggestions of what could be done, the team of Harrison and Breann came out to my house and opened the area around the skylight, replaced plywood, cleaned up the skylight, and laid down ice and water shield. The consensus was that the skylight was not installed correctly when the roof was re-roofed and the skylight added. My caulking which was not needed where I caulked and became a problem was also part of the reason for the roof leak. The work was done quickly, correctly, and thoroughly to resolve my problem and I was able to keep the skylight installed correctly this time and at the lower estimated cost. I would work with Precision Roofing again; they will be my first call for any future roofing work I may need or a re-roof when it is needed. The estimate provided was spot on and it was a great pleasure to work with Precision Roofing from initial contact to finish of the project.

Jason and John were great. Debbie was quick with getting us set up to get our house repaired after storm damage. The guys did such a great job. They kept us in contact the whole process. The quality of their work is amazing. I would recommend them to any who needs roofing, doors, siding, etc. 100 % satisfaction with them.

Jason and his crew really made my farm house window install go really smooth . I was concerned with any damage to the siding. And they assured me they would get all the windows out and not damage the siding . Promised kept Everything came out great and his crew even cleaned up my drywall dust mess in the rooms . Real professional and quick . So happy I got the professionals to do this job ! Very happy !

They were super quick to come out and give a quote. I called 6 places locally and they were one of 2 to actually show up! They ordered materials on Friday and materials came in on that Monday and they started right away. They had the best quote for my roof price as well.

They shingled my roof in 2016. I just had a water leak appear in an upstair room which I couldnt check out myself. They showed up, checked out the situation and sent me pics showing me that part of my vent line had come unglued. This issue was not related to their work in any way. They were a huge help to me identifying the issue. Thanks guys!

Appt scheduled for 8/26, waited for 1/2 hour and no one showed up. Was told I had wrong day, they would be there 8/27. Received call on 8/27 saying they went there early because of another close appointment and would call later with quote. Never received a call. Husband finally called them back on 9/9. Was told they were 3 months out for repairs and didn't have time for job. Could have told us right away that they didn't want to do it and not have wasted our time.
