Michigan Remodeling

Michigan Remodeling completed my roof a couple weeks ago and I was very impressed. From the first visit to the last, we were very comfortable with Steve and how he operated his business.

We wanted to make a change to the roof structure and Steve worked out a plan to strip the roof where we wanted to work, make it watertight and then return to complete the roof right after the structural change was made.

Steve did everything just as he said he would do and was very responsive. The guys who did the work were busy on the job all day long with minimal breaks and no downtime. They were very diligent in cleaning up the work area every day and were all very polite.

The price was in line with other quotes I had and even a little lower. I really wanted to work with a local company and am glad that I found Michigan Remodeling. I would definitely have them do work again.

Michigan remodeling replaced our roof. They had to tear off our old shingles and upon tearing it off they found rotted wood. They replaced all the rotted wood. They took pictures of what was wrong and sent them to me so I could see. They are very professional, respectful and honest. My roof looks amazing and we would suggest them to anyone who needs a roof done.

We are very satisfied with our reroofing job performed by Michigan Remodeling. Working with Shane and the team was exceptional from the initial quote to job completion. Shane answered my many questions, was always on time and followed up as promised. His assistance with selecting our shingles and presence from delivery to performing the work and clean up exceeded expectations. Would highly recommend and not hesitate to use them again in the future.

From the call back in 24 hours, to the Estimate, to the materials being displayed on our roof for us to choose, to be absolutely sure what we wanted with no pressure, to the work being scheduled, to the day of tear off and installation, to the the clean up! We are very happy with our new roof and skylights. Shane has high standards and he does treat the work like it was being done on his own house. The crew was hardworking and meticulous. They took care of replacing some broken siding as well, along with a few other jobs we needed done to go with the roof. Communication was excellent. Shane is one of the few contractors that I’ve met that really doesn’t try to talk you into anything, but looks to give the homeowner what they want. I’m very glad we went with the Michigan Remodeling crew! I would enthusiastically recommend them to friends and family.

We had a leak in our sons room and Shane immediately fixed it the day that he came out with our quote until they were able to get us in for a complete tear off and new roof. Highly recommend. I would highly recommend Michigan Remodeling. They have done two jobs for us. The first was a roof replacement and the second was the rebuild of two rooms due to a flood. Steve is professional and friendly (and patient) and genuinely cares about the work his company provides. Bob and Rich did the rebuild of the rooms. They did an excellent job. Great experience from the day Shane Miles came to talk about their services to the day he did the final walk through! He explained in detail what they do and what to expect. There was no pressure to sign with them. He very quickly and patiently responded to all my questions before the agreement and throughout the job. They did a great job on my roof. Had several quotes for a new roof and Shane was the only one who came out that wasn’t just a sales representative. This wasn’t an insurance job so having an accurate quote that wasn’t marked up for work to be done was important to us. He gave us an honest cost right from the start. No crazy high markup or asking for a review or a yard sign for a percentage off. He knew we would need boards replaced and included them in the total. Having someone who has actually done roofing with an honest price is what set them apart from the others. The guys did a great job from start to finish. I’d definitely recommend them.

We recently had our roof replaced by Michigan remodeling, March 2021. The Co-owner Shane Miles was extremely responsive, friendly, professional and honest and gave us very fair pricing. We had two other quotes before speaking with him and he came in much lower for similar services and products with a better workmanship warranty. He also knows his stuff and helped clear up misinformation we received from others. The job also included replacing gutter screens. Shane went above and beyond to inspect after the job was competed and tie up loose ends. The guys were careful to protect our property and clean up the materials but some misc debris was missed and Shane walked around himself to pick up straggling little pieces. In summary, they provided high quality services at a fair price on time as communicated and we would highly recommend them!!!!

From quote to finish, Shane gave excellent details to every part of new roof install. He spent time and didn't rush through like other contractors. The crew did great job protecting my home and clean up at completion.

We recently had Michigan remodeling put a new deck, roof & siding on our house. Steve gave us a very competitive quote and actually took the time to thoroughly go over the products he would be using for the projects. Steve's team showed up on time every day, were very respective and cleaned up the job site as if they were never there when they were done. Received a very competitive quote; was exactly what I "expected" to pay for my job. No big markups like I saw with others who bid on my job. Steve explained everything clearly and offered multiple options on the quote to customize how I saw fit. Materials used were high quality. The installation crew worked efficiently and respectfully. The yard and workspace were left in a very clean condition at the end of each work day. I was consulted on items that were unique to my job so I understood what was happening and why. Steve was knowledgeable, fair, friendly and did exactly what he said he would do. He was also easy to reach when I had questions. Highly recommend!

This company is amazing. The men who worked on my porch went above and beyond. I was never uncomfortable while they worked and they felt like my family. Ps gonna miss them. The work they did was above my expectations, you can tell they are very knowledgeable and have had tons of experience many years of this under their belts. They take great pride in what they are doing and what their names are tagged to. I can't even believe how wonderful my porch turned out.

Shane was a real professional, an all around good guy. Out of all companies and individual's who came out to look at my roof and give me estimates; he was by far the most knowledgeable and the most out going. Shane was the only contractor who inspected my ridge vent and showed/explained to me what was going on with my roof. He was not a sales man, he did not push or give me any type of sales pitch. Shane was truly a tradesman, as was his employees that installed the roof. Dan the foreman and his crew rocked my roof out. They were very respectful, hard working and well mannered. They took the time to cover up all my deck, shrubs and plants. Overall, I am very pleased with this company and would/have referred Michigan Remodeling to others. We had Michigan Remodeling re-roof our house January 2019. Absolute professionalism from these guys. Shane came over to do the estimate, after he was done(took about 40 minutes) it was going on 5 pm. We sat in my garage, drank a bottle of water and shot the breeze about nothing in particular for almost an hour( Estimate wasn't written up until a couple days later, and he had no idea he was getting the job, AND STILL took time to just sit and talk). I knew after talking to him, this was the company that was going to do the job. Shane and Dan were a pleasure to work with, job was done, mess and old shingles gone, what can I say, its the best looking part of our home. Give them a call. Would give six stars if I could. Bob, Rich and Rob were very professional and hardworking during our home improvement. We came across an issue when they removed the old siding, and the owner, Steve, gave a few options to repair the issues. We appreciated the daily discussions and updates in the progress of our renovations.

Steve is a great business owner. Very detailed oriented, very explanatory and appears to love what he does. The crew was professional, no smoking, loud music, bad language, etc. They work the roof in sections so that you don't have to have the dreaded blue tarp on and off your roof. Quality takes time and it was not done overnight, but the couple days it did take was worth it. Six nails per shingle, straight shingle lines, my claims adjustor said it was extremely quality work when they reviewed it prior to paying out my claim.

Very accommodating, covers every detail, explains everything, very concerned about clean up, the whole staff are very courteous. Work site is always clean. Every aspect is value added. Pricing is very good.

Michigan remodeling did a fantastic job on my leaking roof also had to remove 2 Skylights I could not be happier with the job they did on my roof. Professional crew and a quality new roof! We were scheduled quickly and completed quickly considering the weather we have had. The crew respected my home, family and neighbors keeping noise levels low and language appropriate. They cleaned up completely each day before they left. Financing options were the best I have seen and we got 50 YEAR WARRANTY. Exceptionally pleased!

Steve and his crew did a great job residing our house after storm damage in May 2017. Because we hadn't planned on the project, it took some time to collect estimates and information from our insurer. MR came in with a bid that was almost exactly in line with our insurance company. They outbid the big corps. We were glad to work with a local company. The crew was excellent. Bob, Rich, and Trevor were terrific and worked through intense cold, heavy snow, and the holidays. We plan on having them do our next project; you should too.

Began my search for a new roof by getting three bids. Michigan Remodeling was the best choice. The owner (Steve) has many years as a contractor. Not only did he provide the best price he offered financing, best warranty (50 Years)and he was able the schedule me in quickly. His crew which includes two of his sons finished the job with-in three days working around frigid weather. The crew was very professional and the roof is top quality. I am extremely pleased with my new roof. I highly recommend this contractor.

When the estimator came out, without knowing if the job was theirs, patched some shingles so we wouldn't have more water leaks until we got a company to fix our roof. Very, very satisfied.

OMG!!!!! They were fantastic!!!!!! Price was very fair!! Service was unbelievable!!!! Shane spent almost two hours reviewing the roof and attic area, explaining what was needed and what should be done. Every decision was mine, there was no pressure trying to sell me something more than what I needed.

We had several rain delays, but he always kept in contact with me, letting me know when I could expect them.

The crew was very polite and professional!! The clean up was AMAZING!!!! I found one piece of shingle about the size of an index card....that was it!!!!!! Everything was cleaned up everyday!!!

Wonderful company to deal with. They did a roof replacement on a section of my home, and repaired a major problem around the chimney. They were reasonably priced, quick, and professional. I am very pleased with the windows I had replaced. I received a detailed quote and was able to see a sample of the window to be installed. I also appreciate how quickly the work was scheduled once my windows arrived. John did a great job installing the windows including prep and cleanup. The customer service was outstanding.

Steve and his crew did some patch work on our commercial roof at a collision shop in Marysville and did a fantastic job. He and his crew went above and beyond with excellent customer service and quality workmanship, and most importantly, he kept his scheduled time. Our experience with Michigan Remodeling was far beyond our expectations. They responded quickly to our needs of replacing our damaged roof that was leaking and repairing our ceiling that got damaged. Called Michigan Remodeling with a roofing emergency. My roof was leaking bad and ruining the ceiling in my kitchen. Talked to Steve and he was over later that day. Not only was it a perfect job (and I stress the perfect part), but also their cleanup during and after was unbelievable. No nails or left over pieces of shingle anywhere to be found.
My wife’s flowers and shrubs were all covered carefully and not even a rose was touched.
I just can’t say enough great things about Michigan Remodeling in regard to their attention to detail, care for the customer, and just down right fantastic work. I was just truly amazed!
