I've been going to this place for years. Unfortunately, mishap happens, and they have alway have gotten me back on track.
I love them because I haven't found anyone to beat their prices and the fact I can be at work or wherever and they can come to me to get the job done.

We have used this family owned business a few times and they never disappoint. They are always so friendly, helpful, fast, and have the best prices around! We are a forever customer.

Make a appointment for a afternoon and it was fast clean job..thxs I will be coming back and pass the word around..

Dameion was great! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I was able to get my windshield fixed relatively quick and it was half the price of Safelight. Thanks Portsmouth Glass! Also, if you y'all get a small crack in your windshield, fix it right away before it spreads!

Great locally owned company. They got me in on the same day as I called for a quote and when I arrived for the appointment, they were quick to get it done, and the job was well done. The customer service here is great as well. Support locally owned businesses! I will be back whenever we need some glass! :)

I am a very skeptical consumer and always look for best value. I cannot recommend Portsmouth Glass highly enough! Their service is professional, fast, friendly, effective and at an extremely competitive price! After initially scheduling with a larger, more well-known auto glass replacement service and receiving a quote for services that were not needed (that they said was required - but wasn't). I called to discuss the service, quality of glass to be used, warranty, etc. and Portsmouth Glass was head and shoulders above ALL else in the area. You owe it to yourself to give them a shot if these services are needed. Bravo

Very nice and professional. The person who answers the phone is always polite and professional. Had a window pane repaired when everyone else said “Just replace the window.” Very reasonably priced. I hope I don’t need another window fixed, but if I do, I’m 100% returning to Portsmouth Glass.

Had a broken window pane in my breezeway door. I called them up, they were super helpful and friendly and very informative. When I arrived they were the same way in person! The service was quick, the glass was cut just how I needed and fit perfectly. Glad they were able to help, and I would definitely use them again. I forgot to get after pics but I'm sure you all know what clear glass looks like...

I had a great experience with Portsmouth Glass! Their technician Steve has been doing this for over 30 years, and it showed. He was knowledgable, quick and efficient, and very professional while also being relaxed and kind. Really great guy. Super easy to schedule an appointment. They came out to me quickly. They also had the best prices in the area. I'd recommend this company and him any day!

Always a pleasure getting anything auto glass related done here! Quick, efficient, polite, and patient with you when dealing with an issue. The ladies upfront and on the phones are so understanding and caring of the stressful situation you are in. Never had a problem with this wonderful business! Truly fantastic work as well!

Pretty disappointed with my experience. I called because of the good reviews I read. I called to get a simple quote on one replacement window for my home. I was told my appointment would be on the 13th of March and that someone would call me the day before to confirm. It is now the 13th and nobody has reached out. I called to find out what’s going on and at first, they couldn’t find my info. Then, all of a sudden, they found my information and said my appointment was for the 20th. I tried to make the person on the phone understand that I scheduled to work from home because of the appointment. The Representative didn’t want to hear me so she said she doesn’t want to go back and forth with her about it. I will not do Business with them ever. I’m pretty bummed that they put me off like this. I believe it’s because it’s not a big job. If that was the case, I would’ve been fine rescheduling.

I am happy to see that The Owner would actually respond. I did immediately write this review because of the response from the Representative that I spoke with on the phone. I am giving a 4 star because of how fast the response was to my complaint. I would’ve never had an issue with the 20th of that’s what was said to me. I scheduled for me to work from home today because of what was told to me a week ago. If the Owner wants to talk, I am all ears and they have my phone number. My windshield was replaced last year and they did an excellent job. The cheapest around and very reasonable price. Customer service was great as well. It was even pointed out to me to replace my wipers asap to avoid damaging the new windshield. Took myself straight to the auto store afterwards. I have had tons of small rocks hit my window with all this construction going around and not even a single crack. Fingers crossed :-) I definitely recommend this place.

I have an antique vanity and dresser set. The mirrors were old and had streaks running through them. Took my vanity mirror in first and loved the mirror Portsmouth Glass was able to replace it with. I was impressed with the employees' help and assistance in choosing the right depth (quarter inch vs. an eighth inch) for my Antiques.

Portsmouth Glass did a great job. They had my mirrors back to me within a 3 week period. Prices were reasonable, and I couldn't be happier.

Great customer service. And I was in and out in under 45 minutes. Windshield installation top-notch. It's now officially the nicest part of my 93 Ford Ranger.

I called and they got me in on very short notice. Took only 30 minutes to repair my windshield and very reasonably priced, especially compared to other quotes I had gotten. Definitely recommend, and their office staff are super friendly!!

Just had my windshield replaced today while I was at work. They did an amazing job. My windshield looks great! They quoted me the lowest price in the area after I was jerked around by other places. I’m totally happy with their service and will be recommending them! The lady I dealt with on the phone was always so pleasant too.

Over all pretty good service. The people are nice, they get what you need to get done in a quick and timely matter.

My only gripe is I called them and asked if I could tell them the measurements over the phone, they told me to just come into the store.

So I had to go there, give them the measurements, leave to get the money, and go back to pay a pickup all within a hour timespan.

Still, really solid service thoguh, I was impressed at the quick turnaround.

On last week October 19 Steve came to my job to repair my son's Windshield. I was pleased with his FAST service. He was kind, and professional. This is my second time using this companies service. I am pleased once again. Also, when I came into the office to make an appointment the other workers at the desk were pleasant and kind as well! I recommend this place of business to anyone and everyone.

I had my windshield replaced here 10 months ago. At the time they didn’t offer a mobile service so I had to go to their shop, but it didn’t take too long. Recently the sensor cluster that is mounted to the windshield near the rear view mirror fell off. After contacting them, they came out to me in Newport News (now offering mobile service) to reattach it. They even did it over the course of two days to increase chances of it sticking. I thought it may have been improperly installed but according to the lead technician, it’s a defect on the window from the factory that sometimes occurs as it comes with the mounting bracket already glued. He spent a good deal of time glueing it back up, programming it and testing the rain sensor to make sure it was functional. While it falling down in the first place was a considerable inconvenience, I was very pleased with this follow up care to ensure it was fixed without additional cost and seemingly done properly.

I highly recommend, Portsmouth Glass. Replaced my windshield and the process was smooth. Clear communication and great customer service. The technician, Steve was excellent - professional, great personality and did an outstanding job on my windshield replacement.

This place is great. Been here twice now to replace my front passenger window glass. (Can Norfolk thieves please give me a break. In fact, replacing my glass this often is making me broke too)
First visit here was back in December 2022, when the same glass was smashed. Even though it was around Christmas, this place was able to replace it within 2 days! There was still some glass left in the door, but I just wanted it fixed fairly cheap & quick so I didn't mind all that much.
Receptionists are always beyond helpful & pleasant. Decent price, compared to Safelite & competitors.
When I had the glass repaired today, Steve drove out to me, which I don't think they consistently offer. Probably depends on staffing. Steve has such a heart of gold, such a sweet guy. Made sure to vacuum up every last bit of glass, even in the cup holders & air vents. No more rattling when I shut the door! & window rolls up & down just fine. Doing all that hard work in the sun & heat, & with a good attitude the whole time. Whatever y'all paying Steve ain't enough, give this man a raise.

I needed to get my windshield replaced and the woman making my appointment worked with me to get it done before I left for college.
Steve did an amazing job with my windshield (especially in this heat!) and was so nice the entire time.
Will definitely keep them in mind and recommend them to others if another job needs doing.

Technician Steve Dozier, did an outstanding job on one our hottest days of the year. His professionalism is above and beyond nothing short of OUTSTANDING across the board. His knowledge really shows and I was very happy with the quality of work he did In repairing my Trucks Windshield. He should be commended for his hard work and dedication to detail! He was professional, friendly, and educated me about my windshield installation and how to preserve it for long term use. The front, right window on my car was busted and I was going to have to wait 6 days and pay close to $500 if I went through the company suggested by insurance. Called Portsmouth Glass right when they opened at 8, and my window was replaced by 11 for 1/3 of what I would have paid with any other company. 11/10 recommend.

The family atmosphere is always so welcoming. It's the cheapest in the area and they always make sure to have you leaving with a smile. The ladies in the front are a peach to deal with.

I think they are great . Got my windshield the very next day. Not many places can do that these days. Only took about 30 minutes. And it was cheaper than I thought it would be. Buy local from home town business. And don't re elect anyone.

They were great they were affordable and they were fast everywhere. Else quoted me 300+ they quoted me $100 cheaper. And the service was really quick and seems to be reliable. Great customer service.

This place is great all around. Customer service is 100% respectful and very informative. They have replaced my personal car windshield last year and the price was great! Now I took my commercial truck there and they had it done in 3 hours max. Even had room to park the truck over night in a locked up yard. So anyone with a commercial truck, you can trust you will be alright here and for a fair price. Very pleased and will not go anywhere else. It goes a long way when your treated with respect from the first phone call to the last. Thank you guys.

OUTSTANDING Customer Service. On the evening prior to us going on vacation, the back up battery for the garage door opener fell and smashed our windshield. Portsmouth Glass was closing early due to a funeral but they took care of us and replaced the windshield so we could get on our way. Everyone was so friendly!!! I will never go anywhere else if I need a windshield or other glass work!!!!!! Thank you Portsmouth Glass!!!!

To Owner: Not really sure about your response. I had a windshield repaired around that same time. Maybe google asked for a review after visiting your website. That was 9 months ago but thanks for trying to call me out saying I wasn't even a customer. Just because I have an interaction with a business doesn't mean I'm automatically put in a database of customers.
