Over the years, my wife and I had purchased several homes. At each of these homes Purchases we had a home inspection performed. Most of the home inspectors seem fairly qualified on the other hand Clay was more knowledgeable than most and thoroughly inspected the home. afterwards, he took time to explain all of the issues that he had discovered.

Clayton did a excellent job looking over all aspects of my home in Portsmouth finding the things most people would over look and explaining as he went along doing the inspection making sure I understood why something would need to be looked at or fixed from the fridge waterline not being hooked up/sub floor damage/mold spores/gutters being needed to the overall structural integrity and the cracks in the sidewalks from the roof to the ground very professional and detailed with pictures and notes if your in need of a home inspector that’s going to treat your home as he would treat his own this should be your first and only choice

Had a new build home inspection with Clay and Bobby, they were professional, courteous, on time, and answered all my questions. Only giving 3 stars due to missing 2 holes in my roof where the dormer was not properly flashed. They flew a drone to do the roof inspection which produced great pictures, but unfortunately they missed these spots and I finally noticed it a year later when birds were nesting in there. Besides the inspection missing these holes in my roof all went well.

I contacted All-Spect to conduct an 11 month warranty inspection on a new construction home. Clay and Bobby were professional, personable, and professional throughout the whole process. Setup and scheduling was easy, and once inside the home they were very respectful of the living space. The inspection was very thorough, and they found numerous deficiencies that I was not aware of, or that I had seen everyday and was not aware was a deficient condition. They caught numerous issues in the roof/attic which I had not seen or was unaware of. If you have a new construction home, I highly recommend you have Clay and Bobby look things over before your warranty expires.

All I can say is WOW!! Clayton was so thorough and even walked us through some of the issues he found and gave us timelines on when to fix or what to do.
He is extremely knowledgeable about what to look for and possible corrections to the issue. The report he sent had pictures of defects and a description on what he found, he also adds in recommendations on how to fix or get a contractor! Next time we buy a house we are 100% using Clayton again. Recommend him to EVERYONE!

Clay was a very detailed and thorough home inspector. Given the current real estate market, I know that he is more than likely going on several calls a day. Although I am sure he had a busy day, Clay took the time to explain his process, gave us the option to walk around with him, and offered detailed recommendations for every item he deemed fit. Buying a home can be a daunting task, however, Clay made this step of the process that much easier for us.

I’m in the process of purchasing my first home, and moving to Virginia from out of state. Clayton was recommended to me for a home inspection and I couldn’t be happier, as he and his team have been exceptional from the start. Since I couldn’t be in town, I reached out to Clayton prior to the inspection to let him know my sister would be attending. He spent 15-20 minutes on the phone answering all my questions and was more than happy to accommodate my situation. The inspection was very thorough and I had the report within minutes of him completing the job. He then spent another 15-20 minutes on the phone going over everything/ answering my follow up questions. Clayton did a great job on our inspection for our new condo. The builder's realtor said, "you can get one if you want but it will be a waste of money because this is a brand new home and it has been through all the city inspections". We hired Clay anyway and we are very happy that we did! He sent a drone up to check out the roof and found a couple of issues up there. He also found a some things we had not noticed when we did our initial inspection on our own (a cracked window, a poorly installed microwave, a vent issue, etc..). This was my first home inspection for being a first-time home buyer, so there was a lot of fear and nervousness but was put at ease throughout the process. Clay was thorough and very knowledgeable. If he found something he would take the time throughout the inspection to explain what he found and if it's something to be concerned with or not.
