Pioneer roofing and Restoration did an awesome job on this house. This house had the original siding was a cedar siding and an old tin roof. I don't know how old the roof was, but there were layers and layers of shingles under the tin and then the siding was original. I used to see this house when I was a little kid and I'm 60 years old now so that's a old siding. They did a wonderful job. It looks 100% different and it's absolutely gorgeous. We are very pleased! I recommend them to everyone and the price was great

I had a great experience with Pioneer Roofing. I noticed a water stain on the ceiling and knew there was a leak. I contacted a couple of roofing companies. Bill Mellinger had the best and most detailed quote by far. He helped me understand what was needed and explained everything fully. We were advised by our insurance company that we needed a new roof by the end of May. Nothing was really wrong with our roof, other than being 18 years old. With insurance requiring an update, we reached out to Pioneer Roofing. They came out and did an estimate. Once estimate was completed, they set up an apt just a few days later to talk through the quote with us. The following week, our roof was installed in one day. The crew arrived early morning, worked diligently, and had our roof completely finished by 2:15 despite the electrical outage that we had encountered that day. After they cleaned up at my house, they went to my mom’s house and shingled the new porch edition we added on. We are very happy with the customer service they provided from start to finish. We called for a roof inspection and Bill Mellinger was the employee that was sent to inspect our roof. Upon arrival, he was very rude and asked “who is this up on the roof?” I told him it was another roof inspector. Then he proceeded to say “then what am I doing here?” He made it sound like I was wasting his time during the entire conversation. Then, he went up on the roof for maybe 2 minutes, came down and said there’s no roof damage. Meanwhile, the other roof inspector spent 25 minutes taking a lot of picture and showed me where the roof damage was.Bill was very unprofessional and gave me the impression that I was wasting his time.

Updated from your comment: I was told by the other roof inspector that Bill didn’t even bother to look at the gutter where the damage actually was. Also, Bill was the one that texted to come earlier, so I let him. If he were offended by another roof inspector, is he really “Seasoned”? And if by “theatrics” you mean being well-manored and actually having a professional conversation, then you’re right, he’s not about “theatrics”. Also it’s very normal to have multiple inspections, you’re not the only roofing company. If you’re truly defending his actions, you will lose plenty of customers to other roofing companies. It would be baffling to me if anyone would choose your roofing company with the way he interacts his clients. Please don’t be offended by my honestly and use it to better your business.

We’ve used pioneer roofing for several different projects and they always do an excellent job. Communication is great and we always get updates. We will definitely use them again.

I was deeply upset Tuesday after discovering a roof leak in our bedroom. We had some significant storm and tree damage to our house. Pioneer came out very quickly after being contacted and helped get a new roof on the house as quickly as possible. Working with Pioneer, and specifically Wes, was a great experience. Wes communicated frequently, helped us navigate the process with insurance, made sure all of the work covered was up to current code, communicated directly with Insurance when needed. They were very clear about what options we had when selecting roof shingles, siding, and gutters, and the pricing for each decision. They also were very flexible to work with as we had AEP doing some work around the same time and coordinated around both schedules.

Had Pioneer roofing install a new roof about five years ago. There was a small issue that didn’t show itself until recently. The Pioneer repair crew came out twice with the owner Jason Lee coming out once to look for his self, leaving with a had shake and saying “I’ll take care of it” and did exactly what he said he would!
You don’t find this often nowadays, a hand shake then deliver!

I was dissatisfied with a roofer with whom I’d been working. I heard about Pioneer Roofing from a friend and called them on a Friday. The following Monday Bill Mellinger came to my home with a folder which he went through with me, explaining everything that would be done while replacing my roof. I was quite impressed with his professionalism and patience in answering my questions. He also suggested replacing my 28 year old sky lights and worked with my insurance company to get that approved. His crew started on my roof at 6:00AM and the last person left at 6:30. I was quite impressed as I have a large roof. They cleaned up the debris very throughly and didn’t damage any of my plantings. Our home had a twenty-five year old two layer shingled roof. While (luckily) we hadn’t had any leaks, it was visibly wavy and shingles were pulling up. I guess we were playing chicken with the leak potential, waiting for a severe hailstorm that would justify an insurance claim. As I noticed the further deterioration of our roof we made the decision to bite the bullet and get a new roof.

We knew that Pioneer had done several roofs in our neighborhood and we decided to invite them to be one of the companies from which we obtained estimates. Jason and Zack came and gave us a very competitive quote and I was impressed with their extensive knowledge and obvious care in providing a quality roof.

Our roof needed to be completely replaced, down to the rafters, roof decking, shingles and all. The crew got a bright and early start at 6:00am and worked diligently throughout the day. Our new beautiful roof was completed by 5:30pm (amazing!). Their clean-up returned our landscaping, deck, and lawn to its pre-work condition. No one would be able to tell that any work had been done.

Our home suffered roof, siding and gutter damage during a large hailstorm in the Spring of 2023. Initially, our insurance adjuster declared there was no damage despite every other home on our street having significant damage. We knew we weren't lucky enough to have an imaginary protective bubble over just our home and so we called in Bill. He worked with us and helped us get a second adjustor to recheck everything and we ended up with a new roof, new siding and new gutters. It was a long process requiring lots of calls, texts and emails between us and Bill as well as our insurance company but he never grumbled or gave up on us, making sure the needed repairs were paid for by insurance and then completed by his company. We would absolutely recommend Bill and Pioneer Roofing to anyone with insurance claims or simply needing exterior home repair, maintenance or updates.

When searching for a company to replace our vinyl siding, we were hoping to stay with a local, reputable company. After a few different quotes, we felt confident in choosing Pioneer after their competitive quote & decent communication. However, after we signed the contract, everything seemed to change. Communication substantially decreased. We were told the night before the job was to start, leaving us little time to prep. Following the job, there were a handful of issues we brought up. Without notice, an employee showed up on a Saturday, said they’d come back on Monday to fix them. No communication on Monday, and after we reached out, we were told Wednesday, still no one came. A week went by and we reached out again. Eventually, caulking was redone, but a loose electrical outlet was not re-secured. The next day, someone in an unmarked vehicle and street clothes showed up with a drill on our back porch, without us having any idea they were coming to fix the outlet.

The most frustrating part was that we paid an additional amount to have the trim board around a large picture window replaced and resealed, due to prior water issues. Following the job, when the next heavy storm came, water began to leak inside the house during the middle of the night, substantially worse than our previous leak. Once we got up on the roof, we found several issues around the window, including no caulking under the window, several large cracks in the new caulking and reused metal flashing. When we called Pioneer, they said they could come look at it that week. Two weeks later a team came and hopped up on the roof without even knocking on the door or texting one of us, literally standing outside our second story bathroom window. The following week they replaced the flashing, re-caulked and there was no additional follow-up or communication from anyone at Pioneer.

We were extremely disappointed in the lack of communication, customer service and unprofessionalism. This project ended up lasting over 3 months. A neighbor saw the sign in our yard during the job and asked a few weeks later if we would recommend them, we unfortunately had to tell her no. We wouldn’t want someone to have the same issues we had.

This review is overdue as I got a new roof from pioneer almost 6 months ago. My roof was in bad shape and I needed a quick turnaround on a new roof. I called and got a quote in the matter of a day or two and they were able to turn around and complete the job within a week. I got a very fair price on some very good shingles and they were efficient and proficient and cleaned up well. I would recommend them to anybody.

After some harsh March and April 2023 storms we were in need of roofing repairs. Our house is a cape cod style house built in 1980. We had to file an insurance claim for the first time as well. A neighbor had recommended Pioneer to us after seeing our shingles missing. So we called April 21st, and that day our call was returned. Being our schedules lined up, Chris was there that day. Despite still dealing with high needs, as the storms damaged many homes through several counties including ours. This was the beginning of a great experience. Chris became our project manager. Chris climbed on the roof gave us his recommendations and instructions on next steps with insurance company stuff. Within 4 days the Insurance inspector was at our house to inspect damage. Chris took it upon himself to be there that day to represent us and our needs to the Inspector. With minimal interaction needed from us, the money was in the bank that day for a new roof. Chris came back by the end of the week and we picked out our new roofing materials. There were some hiccups of additional cost that insurance hadn't allotted for. Chris communicated via phone and email with the adjustor that came to the house managing our claim. This didn't delay work starting though. We went over options for roof and ended deciding on doing all new siding and trim, the whole outside! We ordered materials for roof. We have 2 old anxious dogs, and Chris was sure to plan ahead of any work so we could medicate and or relocate our dogs during the noisy work. Even while there he made sure the team offered us time to let our dogs out if needed. May 24th was the arranged start on roof date, 5+ guys were there at 630am. They worked hard all day in the wind and didn't leave until 1030pm, with the job complete. The next day Chris was there himself to inspect and clean up any nails or materials left behind. These guys are very tidy!. Chris is very meticulous and detail oriented, so your job is gonna be perfect. After this experience being very happy with the outcome, even spraying our pipe boot to match shingles, replacing flashing areas, and replacing our gutter guards. They did an amazing job. He said they'd give us all the bells and whistles and they do that from top to bottom. So next we decided to go with all new siding, since the roof looked so amazing. Chris always kept us updated on orders, as it became later into fall. Our supplies were delayed, due to us ordering a very specific shake material and color. During this time we also had an extreme issue with squirrels trying to destroy our new roof. While dealing with Orkin, Chris took it on his own to help us with figuring other repairs in preparation for siding. He also offered to help paint some outside trim on his own time so it would look nice. October 12th our materials were delivered for siding. Work started the next morning, mostly same guys that did the roof. Carlos is very nice to work with. They started work on one side of house and there was some miscommunication on how we wanted the shake and siding done, no questions asked... we are the customer they removed hours of work and restarted and completed how we wanted it done. In the end its amazing. We have enjoyed working with this company and both Chris as the project manger and Carlos the crew manager. These guys leave almost nothing behind. Very few nails were only found literally like less than 6, for a roof and all the siding I think that is great. Very meticulous to details, all new appliance inserts, light and outlet boxes, window trim. Our house looks amazing. Our neighborhood has a lot of people that walk and pass by our house.. people just stop and stare! Saying how we stepped up the class in the neighborhood.

He kept us updated and even sent pics of damage we had. He explained the whole process and answered all of our questions. Will definitely recommend to family and friends!

They diagnosed a problem quickly that we had as a result of a faulty installation by another company, recognized the internal damage we were experiencing, and fixed the problem promptly. 9/2024 used Pioneer Roofing again and they did not disappoint! Wes Graham responded within hours to patch roof when lightning struck our tree that fell on roof.
