I’m writing this review on behalf of my mother, who recently had her home’s exterior done by Options Exteriors, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience from start to finish. The crew was respectful, timely, and kept everything clean and organized throughout the project. They made sure she understood each step, answered all of her questions, and truly treated her home with care.

The quality of the work speaks for itself, everything looks beautiful and was done with real attention to detail. But what stood out most was the customer service. Two days after the project was completed, the company president personally reached out to check in and make sure everything had gone smoothly and that my mom was fully satisfied. That level of professionalism and follow-up is rare and genuinely appreciated.

I don't even know where to begin. This company was absolutely amazing to work with. We were hesitant to start the process of getting our roof replaced after hail damage because we had heard so many horror stories about how difficult the process was with other homeowners. We were fortunate to find Options Exteriors from a neighbor who recommended them. Trevor and his team made the process so easy and stress free. From helping to start the insurance claim, inspecting our roof WITH the insurance adjuster, picking out materials, and checking on our install progress every step of the way, we felt we had an ally through the entire process. Trevor explained all the steps needed and took care of the paperwork and coordination of supplies, crew, and schedule. The best part: the roof was done within one business day! The crew was efficient and kind while at our home. We appreciated greatly the care they took in cleaning up around our home after the entire roof was done because we were worried about our kids and pet stepping on nails and other debris. We also got new gutters during this time and again wonderful crew that was efficient and mindful of our space. They even asked if there was anything we would like to change with the gutters - which we did and they were able to correct previous install problems. Trevor checked in and followed up with us every step of the way. The only time we needed to lift a finger was to sign the approval to start the project. Within a couple days of our project being finished, I told a friend about Options Exteriors and Trevor was at that home within two days to start the whole process with my friend. I can’t say enough how much we appreciated Options Exteriors and how stress free and efficient they made this whole process. I truly wish there was a company like them for every aspect of home ownership and not just the exteriors.

Please consider this review to inform homeowners and other businesses about my experience with Options Exteriors. It is with deep concern that I share my observations regarding their lack of humanity and respect, which, regrettably, appears to originate from their leadership.

I have personally witnessed discriminatory behavior directed towards their employees, particularly their roofing crews, and found it to be unacceptable.

Given these firsthand experiences, I would strongly advise seeking services from other businesses.

Last summer, a pretty big storm came through and these guys came to my door to see if I wanted a free inspection. Usually I would have said no but figured, why not?

Sure enough, hail damage all over. My insurance originally denied the claim but, they went to bat for me and ensured I got full coverage.

I personally worked with Andy and he was amazing to work with! Responded in a timely manner when I would blow him up with questions and was extremely easy to work with.

The crew came out this past Monday to install the roof and had the entire thing done within 7 hours.

Thanks to Fong and Loren for outstanding work, I got my home a new roof and gutter. They are easy to work with and professional. They work with my insurance to get my roof and gutter replaced with no issue. They were there when my insurance was doing the inspection of my roof and gutter. We had an excellent experience with Options Exteriors that i felt compelled to share. I had hail damage and I've never filed a home insurance claim before. At the outset we were very unsure of what to do and leary of unknown companies. Scott Siver came to my home as a stranger, but by the end i trusted this guy to help me make the smartest choices for my home. I cannot recommend him strongly enough. I really appreciated that Scott was not trying to just make more money for Options Exteriors. He understood that people's budgets dictate what they decide to fix or leave as is. His expertise was evident as he walked me around the house with a free inspection. He showed me things that were damaged like the deck, air conditioner, gutters, (embarrassingly, I didn't know my shingles were "smoked" by 2.5" hail.) He knew the insurance claim process, & was there for our adjustor's visit. He explained ACV and RCV, and he worked to make our experience less scary. After the adjustor visit we went line by line down all the items and decided on which to have fixed and which to take the ACV on. Options was able to get the shingles we wanted, and they had my old shingles removed and replaced within 6 hours just 8 days after the storm damage. In addition, they upgraded the shingles to withstand higher winds, added water & ice underlayment for 2 layers around the entire perimeter & where my heated home transitioned to unheated garage, and did so at no extra charge to us & with no guarantee our insurance would pay them for it. They worked so fast and efficiently & cleaned up everything after they finished, it was actually an exciting day. We were the first home around in Platteville to have their roof replaced (some ppl had patched holes). Would recommend to anyone!

Avoid Options Exteriors – A Hail Claim Nightmare

My experience with Options Exteriors was a frustrating, year-long ordeal filled with delays, miscommunication, and unprofessional behavior—especially difficult as a first-time homeowner navigating a hail claim.

I started working with them in March 2024, and the problems were immediate:

Severe Lack of Communication & Transparency:
I was repeatedly left in the dark and had to follow up constantly just to get simple updates. Despite promising to handle the claim process, Options eventually told me to call my insurance company myself—without guidance on what to ask. I requested multiple times for certain hail-damaged items to be supplemented to the claim. Options either ignored me or failed to respond. When I submitted a door claim myself, it was approved the same day—proving they didn’t even try.

Delays & No Oversight
Work was scheduled multiple times but never began on time. I delayed landscaping and took off work for nothing. Siding wasn’t completed until October. No one coordinated the work—I once walked outside to find someone inspecting my roof unannounced.

Disrespect to My Property
After promising to clean up dirt left near my garage, they buried it using my landscaping rocks—without permission—while I was away for work. Their “fix” created more mess. They offered a small credit, but it didn’t cover the time and hassle of replacing the rocks myself. I was told “don’t worry, we’ll take care of it,” yet they left things worse than they found them.

Unprofessional Conduct
When I complained, Ulises Nava said, “We’re not a landscaping company.” Then why move my landscaping at all? Flowers were trampled, and Desirae (Dezzi) Christensen told me, “They’re just plants, they’ll grow back.” That’s unacceptable.

Shady Contractor Practices
My insurer received invoices from “La Muralla Roofing LLC”—a company with no online footprint. Neighbors told me crews brought their children, who ran around my yard unsupervised while I was at work. That’s unprofessional and a liability risk.

Invoice Errors & Overcharges
I received inflated invoices with charges for work never done. If I hadn’t reviewed them line by line, I would have overpaid. When I raised this, Options said, “Humans make mistakes.” Once, maybe—but this happened more than once. That’s not a mistake, that’s negligence.

Poor Clean-Up & No Follow-Through
Materials sat on my lawn for weeks, killing grass. A dumpster bag was left in my driveway for over a week with no update. Despite asking, no proper nail sweep was done—I was still picking up nails from my driveway weeks later.

Internal Chaos
My project manager, Cleo, told me she wasn’t getting the info she needed. When I asked Dezzi for help, she sent me back to Cleo. I had to create a group chat to force communication. Even their own QC rep, Ben, admitted communication complaints are common.

I Referred Others—and They Regret It Too
I regret referring my neighbors—they had similar experiences. My mother, a real estate agent, has now warned her clients to avoid this company.

I documented everything—photos, emails, messages, and invoices. Options Exteriors proved they don’t respect the homeowner, lack internal structure, and fail to act professionally.

You have many options—don’t make the mistake of choosing Options Exteriors!

Terrible and dishonest, unproffesional company. From the beginning, I was assigned a new, inexperienced project consultant, and while I was aware that my insurance company wasn’t the most responsive, Options Exteriors failed to deliver on even their most basic promises. Their pamphlet claims they will "partner with you and your insurance company every step of the way,” and that homeowners can "rely on their expertise to help repair storm damage with minimal hassle.” That statement could not have been further from my actual experience.

Melissa Lawson was diligent about working with our insurance company and with us. She made sure our project was completed and kept in touch with us all the way.

Mark was great in talking with the adjuster and took care of the process with the insurance company. Very satisfied with the work done on my buildings.

Do not use this company. They have no integrity and are just interested in making money off the insurance company. They will tell you all the things you want to hear but if they don't get the the job over a certain number, they will drop the contract with you and move on to the next family to take advantage of.

Story: I had a very friendly guy named Chad come out and look at my siding in the St. Louis, MO area. He was very friendly and told me that he would fight for me to get work done on my house. Insurance came out and only approved one side getting fixed. Chad told me he has a team that fights the insurance company and they will get it figured out. Well, insurance wasn't budging and they are only approving one side and the company Options Exteriors (which I signed a contract with) voided the contract because it wasn't worth it for them to come out because the job wasn't big enough. They want the whole roof and whole house fixes to make the big bucks on. They are a shame and have NO integrity. DO not use them!!!

Service was excellent! Devlin went above and beyond with this job! Absolutely the best ! The crew had the job done quickly. I showed up less the 24 hrs after the job was done and everything was picked up, even the dumpster. You would not of know anything had been done. They left the property just like it was! This is the 2nd roof I have had them do, both times were GREAT!!!

Great people and fast reliable quality service. Javier and Lawerence were very helpful walking us through the whole process with the insurance company. We would highly recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

Mike Caroon and Luke were awesome to work with! They inspected my roof and worked with the insurance company to ensure everything was covered. They assisted in filing my claim, relieving the headache. The Crew that came was extremely respectful of my property and flowers. They put down blankets around the entire house to ensure the removal of the shingle debris would not harm anything in the area. Not a single flower was broken and they even swept my porch and driveway. They re-shingled my house in under 12 hours! It was amazing to watch how in step the crew was together. They didn't swear or spit like I have seen other roofers do! Not to mention they were dressed properly. No dragging pants or shirts off.

This company is a shining example of the roof goofs that All Around makes fun of in their advertising. Inexperienced project management and no supervision on the job. Nails in your driveway aren't cleaned up, attic vents incorrectly installed or missed, classic storm chaser hacks and scammers. Stay away unless you want your project to haunt you months after it's "completed".

Im now retired, but was in finance for 30+ years and I can say without hesitation that Andrew & Zac at Options Exteriors has exemplified two core principles...Customer Orientation and Results Orientation.
They showed a true caring for the customer. Stayed with us from Aug when our process started thru completion in January.
-Sales Process Superior and Professional.
-Installation started early am was done with removal and application of new shingles in the late afternoon and cleaned well after.
-Communication (minus installers) was excellent I spoke to 5 people including Zac and Andrew along the way they all were very kind and we communicated phone, text, email or in person.
-Positive attitudes everyone was wonderful to work with.
-Post Installation I still text Andrew a question he is right on top of it with a response.
Support - I felt very at ease with Andrew and Zac they were the best sales reps I’ve ever worked with.
1-10 I’d score a 9.9 only because there’s always room to grow & improve.

Overall only thing I’d do differently as a company is the installers language barrier none spoke much English so very hard to communicate.
At least have one on the crew that spoke English so that when asked a question they looked like a deer in headlights. They are wonderful!!

The initial meeting with the project consultant was pleasant and promising and that is where the pleasant ended. I’m surprised at all the 5 star reviews along with the color brochure they offer. These were the reasons we allowed Options to do our insurance claim over a local reputable contractor recommended by our insurance company. Options does not have a local presence in our area. Their representatives travel to storm damaged areas in our state.
The first subcontractor came up from the metro area and did the shingle removal and put on new shingles in one day. Upon inspection from the ground (with the original gutters still on the house) the job looked acceptable. A week later a subcontracted gutter crew came up and replaced the gutters. I walked around to visually inspect the workmanship from the ground and noticed pieces of metal sticking up above the gutters. Upon inspection from a ladder and to my horror it looked like our house had been hit by another damaging storm. The drip edge was totally destroyed and when I could see the shingle edges there were areas they were not flat to the roof line. There was a nail sticking up 1/4 to 1/2 inch, a nail head not covered by a shingle as well as shingles that were not nailed down properly. The new gutters were scratched along with greasy hand prints and not even attached properly in a couple areas. Now to get a resolution from Options. A second gutter crew was subcontracted to remove the gutters and reinstall them. Once he removed them he refused to put them back up because they were subpar quality and the drip edge problem was from the first roofing crew installing the new drip edge over the old drip edge. Now to get another resolution from Options.
A second subcontractor comes over to replace the drip edge and fix the shingles in the areas affected by the first round of poor workmanship. The lead person was not impressed with the original work and did what they could to rectify the problem. The roof looked acceptable once they were finished.
The second gutter crew came back for their second time to reinstall the new gutters that had been taken down to fix the shingles and drip edge. He was hesitant on putting the gutters up because of the scratches and the poor workmanship of the first crew. It took a coup of phone calls to Options for him to convince them that new quality gutters needed to be installed and he did an amazing job. Thankfully the second gutter crew did their job with great pride.
The garage door company (which was a locally owned business) did their job correctly and professionally and did quality work the first time.
Overall this was probably one of the worst customer experiences we have ever had and with this big of a project.
I would personally never recommend Options to anyone. If you do use them make sure you have someone on site who understands building codes and has some type of construction experience to observe and inspect the process.

Back in 2021 after Derecho, we started the process of working with Option Exteriors in CR to get a full house residing done due to Hail, Wind, and Hurricane like weather damage. Getting the consultation, getting the estimate, and working with Insurance was more of a breeze than the actual work for repairs. The in person crew did not know how to do all of the work necessary, for example putting the house lights upside down, putting our doorbell on sideways, and leaving certain areas unfinished; especially on the chimney and the fascia, plus more. Certain good original parts of the house that were to be just put back on were left scattered across the yard. Some pieces broken. Our front large window screen got ripped but Option Exteriors got this replaced for us. The boss of the crew men hired by Options came by the house after the work was done upon request of us because of how unhappy we were with the work. How much work we had to do to make sure things were not damaged more or observe how poor quality of work was done. The Radon piping needed to be checked and the Solar panel piping had to be reattached. The boss sent a crew member to find out what needs to be reworked, but the crew member took a long time to translate the requests into English then finally understood. We also requested the County come and check the original work repairs and the newly worked items due to some questionable things still. This County check was a bit of struggle to arrange because they normally do a drive by check and we wanted a walk up check. This was County check resulted in unsatisfactory work and reported back to Options for more repairs. So a crew came back and made some half hearted repairs. The work from afar looks great, but close up some cover ups can be noticed. Overall we are only satisfied with the professional response and results from the Secretary, how it the final job appears from a far, the fact our siding replacement is done, and that we are now done with the process. We are unsatisfied with the poor communication, the extensive length of time it took to complete the job (did not keep their business promise), and the disrespectful attitude from the young Option Exteriors representative left in charge of the crew. If you as customer/client choose to work with Option Exteriors, be mindful of everything you do and request with them. Keep and make a paper trail of all things. Clarify all communication and do not leave anything to assumption.

We worked with Cody Valley from options exteriors after we experienced hail damage to our roof. Cody worked with us through every step of the process and kept us informed. They handled almost all communication with the insurance company making it easy for us. Our roof turned out beautifully and the whole roof was done in a single day! They left behind zero nails.

If I had to go through the process again, I wouldn’t choose anyone else.

I would recommend Options Exteriors to anyone who needs help with exterior damage to your home. Louis Rojas and his crew went above and beyond to help me get my hail damaged siding replaced. The crew showed outstanding craftmanship in replacing siding, soffits and facia on my home. I feel secure in knowing they did an outstanding job and my home looks new again. They were all pleasant, caring, hard working and respectful of my property.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They may complete a project timely but it does not make up for their extremely poor communication and unprofessionalism… during the time period we, unfortunately, worked with this company they had little to no communication once the project was completed, even after we reached out to them on numerous occasions! They lied about contacting us and made comments about communication between my husband and I … please don’t get involved with this poor excuse of a company!

Zak Abukar was instrumental in helping us with our storm damaged roof. He was forthright and totally honest. I was totally clueless that after 22 years, our roof would even qualify. Boy was I surprised! We were so pleased with Zak, his team, and the crew they used. I would totally recommend this company to others.

First time going through the process with insurance, and Roy and Options Exteriors were extremely helpful in communicating with insurance and me. Work was completed quickly and up to code.

This process started in March, and we are finally done with this company 6 months later. I would not recommend them to anyone who asks.
Countless communication issues, so many times I was lied to by their employees. They had to Come back and fix multiple things.
Aside from the roof they had to fix from their mistakes, also the multiple things on my property that they broke. Including my fence and outdoor security lights. If my gutters weren't already broken, they would be fixing what they broke there too.
Yes these things were fixed, after months of back and forth. And the roof looks fine, but still, save yourself the headache and pick someone else!

Options exteriors recently replaced my roof and I'm very happy with their work. They they're work is nice and neat and the cleanup was fantastic! On the afternoon of June 25, 2024, my neighborhood in Papillion, Nebraska, experienced a hailstorm where we were pummeled with golf ball sized hail. As a result of the storm, I contacted my insurance company and filed a claim so that a field representative would be dispatched to evaluate any damage that my have occurred. Within a few days, the field representative was here and, after examining the roof, gutters, and screens, told me that I had sustained roof damage significant enough to replace the roof, the gutters had been dented, and the screens on several of my windows were also damaged and in need of repair or replacement.
The next day I was outside with my dogs, and I was approached by Alvin and Amber who are project consultants of Options Exteriors. They were in the process of handing out booklets and business cards and, after speaking with them, I decided in an instant that I had found a trustworthy company. They answered all of my questions satisfactorily and there wasn’t a hint of the pressure sales pitch that usually follows. After reviewing the material in the Options Exteriors booklet, I decided to hire the company to replace the roof and gutters and took care of the screens myself, as the company did not offer that service, and it worked out to my advantage as I found a reputable business locally.
I subsequently met Sutton, who is one of the team leads, and we began the process of discussing the project. I decided to upgrade to the Class 4 impact resistant shingles and was quoted a very fair price for the Nordic brand product. I then sat down with the team, and we had a conversation with Desirae who assisted in completing the contract, which I then signed. I also met Trent, who was another Team Lead and what impressed me was that all of these individuals were knowledgeable and willing to answer all of my questions honestly without playing any games or engaging in subterfuge to entice my signature on the project contract. They also provided the written estimate I requested.
The project proceeded as planned in that the roofers were scheduled and showed up in the early afternoon with a dumpster and roofing materials to begin the removal of the damaged roof. The crew worked diligently in the excessive heat, which was compounded by them being on the roof were it was intensified by the tiles. I really felt for these guys and was impressed that they were able to get the entire roof removed and then began putting down the base for the tiles while enduring the heat on that first day. It was also the second project for the crew, as they had done a partial roof replacement earlier in the morning on that day.
The following day, the crew began to place the tiles on the roof, and I was contacted by Alvin, the project consultant, that the Nordic tiles were not available so the company was going to install the Malarkey brand tiles and the subsequent cost of the tiles would be absorbed by Options Exteriors so the price that I was quoted for the upgrade would remain the same. It seemed as though the representatives went out of their way to accommodate me, which confirmed my initial trust in them.
Well, I was then told that the tiles were defective and the roof has to be redone. My question was why they would knowingly install defective tiles and a representative from the Malarkey manufacturer came out to examine the roof. As it turns out, there was nothing wrong with tiles and the representative was very knowledgeable and a few years my senior so I believed that the “kids” were in error due to lack of experience. It is now almost three and a half months since the hail damage and the new gutters, which cost me an additional $500 because the insurance company wouldn’t cover the entire claim, were finally installed on November first. At this point, I am relieved that the project is completed and I am not making any recommendations because whomever reads this will best decide for themselves. The people on the sales team were nice, honest, but inexperienced and the workmanship of the roofers made up for it.

BEWARE. Do not let them do your roof. We had two home roofs replaced and within a few months they were both leaking on the front porch. They came and said they "fixed" the issue. Two years later one home is leaking significantly and they blamed it on the gutters. I had a contractor come look and found no flashing where the two roofs meet which is causing a lot of water to leak into my roof and cause damage to the roof/wood framing etc. Have reached out numerous times they continue to tell me someone will be coming certain days and no one comes. This is suppose to be a licensed roofer they should NOT have installed my roof incorrectly causing water damage. I will be taking legal action against this company. I have had terrible experience with this company.

Cody Valley took fantastic care of us through the entire process of having our roof replaced. From dealing with our insurance adjuster, to selecting shingles, to insuring that the roofers were completing the work to our satisfaction. We would highly recommend them for any roofing repairs!

Their service was impeccable and the team, particularly Liz P, were great. My roof looks wonderful and the attention to all the details was high. Appreciated all the communication from start to finish, particularly with my insurance company.

Dean Dailey came by our house and did a free roof inspection and has been helping us understand the process of filing a hail damage claim. He’s been very helpful and informative since we first met him and we can’t thank him enough for all his hard work! Even if your roof doesn’t look damaged and even if you don’t have water leaking in everywhere doesn’t mean you don’t have damage! Get it inspected for free by these guys and sleep well at night knowing your roof is functioning properly!
