Customer feedback for On Side Restoration is mixed, with a notable divide in experiences. Many users praise the company's responsive customer service and the professionalism of their project managers, highlighting effective communication throughout the restoration process. However, a significant number of reviews express frustration with the quality of work and overall disorganization, particularly regarding delays and inadequate follow-up. These serious complaints suggest that while some customers were satisfied with their outcomes, others faced considerable challenges that negatively impacted their perception of the company. Therefore, potential clients should proceed with caution based on these varied experiences.
- The customer service is definitely top notch!
- They maintained communications and everyone contracted by Onside was helpful, courteous and hard-working.
- Communication between the team was excellent - friendly, quick response time & patient with questions.
- Melvyn’s calm, composed demeanor and his management and leadership were exceptional.
- They were very responsive and I appreciated the quick communication.
- The quality of work during the emergency phase and the several months after was terrible.
- Expect yourself to constantly chase the company.
- They took forever to do the renovations and did a shoddy job.
- Worst communication from grown adults; it’s extremely unprofessional.
- They are dragging their feet when asked to fix everything they ruined.

I used On Side's services to complete the common area repairs after a water leak in my condo building. Although initially the emergency team was very responsive and supportive, the quality of work during the emergency phase and the several months after was terrible (especially because I had to move into a temporary home during this time). Examples include throwing the contents of my condo in random places when placing the numerous fan blowers around my home; not providing a project schedule despite several requests; numerous deficiencies (more than 20) that took an unreasonable amount of time to resolve; entering my condo and using my home as storage without explicit permission. In fact, they continued to use my condo as storage even after I advised them not to. However, once I moved back home, and proceeded to coordinate the deficiency repairs, the quality of work greatly improved because I was on-site to supervise the work. The poor workmanship and customer service was unacceptable.

Highly recommended! We are VERY satisfied with ONSIDE RESTORATION - it was a whole learning process for us, as we have never made a claim before in all the 50+ years we’ve been paying in to insurance, and this was a big one. You just never know when/if you’ll need it. In an extremely busy time for all of the Onside crew (atmospheric river last October) they ALL still maintained communications and everyone contracted by Onside was helpful, courteous and hard-working. They have an amazing team from all over the world - I lost count of the number of countries they all originated from - very interesting!

We had a grease fire that triggered our water sprinkler to turn on causing immense water damage to our kitchen, dining and living room area. We phoned ON SIDE RESTORATION SERVICES upon the recommendation of my son. Mr. JOSEPH BALINT, Project Manager, was quick to respond to our call. He came to our place right away to do the inspection and recommendations. Soon enough, the ON SIDE crew was deployed to our place and started the job.
Ms. JANET KENNEDY, Project Supervisor, was assigned to lead and coordinate the whole renovation project. This was actually our first time to undergo such experience. To say that it was terrifying and stressful is an understatement. The reassurance, compassion, empathy and warmth coming from JANET was exemplary. She provided us with the details on how the project will be handled and updates on the progress of the Sub-contractors. Janet is very knowledgeable and professional.
We wish to commend the whole crew under the leadership of Joseph and Janet. They went ABOVE and BEYOND , truly remarkable !!! Thank you so much for providing the BEST SERVICE. My wife calls Janet her "Angel" for being by her side all throughout till the completion of the renovation. We highly recommend ON SIDE. Thank you from the Baritugo family!

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
