My husband and I needed to update our flooring due to wear and tear over the last 12 years. I was so nervous about getting bids and the whole hiring process due to past experiences and other peoples issues with their contractor. The moment that we met Zack, he eased our fears and was very precise and detailed on the work that they would do. We first had our carpeting replaced in the primary bedroom and den. The second project was what to do with the carpet in our family room? We wanted to replace with additional hardwood but how to match the old flooring was not easy. We decided, with the help of Zack and his team to refinish the old floors and replace the new floors at the same time in order for the completed project to be uniform. We are so thrilled with how everything turned out. Zack and Christopherson floors did a beautiful job. They did what they said they would do, started and finished on time and within budget- No surprises! This update to our house was so painless, that I encourage anyone who is looking to remodel to please save yourself some headaches and contact Zach. I have attached the before picture with our pup and the beautiful after ones for you to see the amazing job that was done.

Christian was really pleasant to work with. I appreciated the transparency and breakdown of costs as well as a couple of different suggestions for how to approach the work that would fit my budget. He was very friendly and communicative. The guy that came out to do the work did a nice job and stayed within the timeframe discussed, though I wish he would have communicated his arrival time better. Overall I'm very happy.

I would like to recommend the handyman team , I have done business with this company time and time again , and every time I do business with them, I am always impressed and amazed how professional, dedicated and reliable they are, I am always getting updates on how my projects is coming along, so I feel very confident recommending the handyman team for anyone out there who is looking for a reliable and trustworthy company to do business with.

These folks are great.. they’re communicative, they don’t overcharge and they’ll try and resolve whatever you’ve got goin on with the simplest fix, if that’s what you want. Of course, they’ll do things exactly how you’d like, but if you’re looking for a way to save a few bucks, they’ll work with you. The guys they send out will also take the time to explain what they did and how you can make adjustments in the future.

Out of all the folks I’ve called (and I’ve run out of numbers in Lacey to call) the folks actually picked up the phone, came out, called back and will even communicate when they feel that something might be too costly for what it’s worth.

Can’t recommend them enough. I’m keeping their number for sure.

The Family Man Team team have exceeded our expectations again! We wanted our sliding glass door replaced and front storm door installed. We had issues finding a sliding door and Zach was able to find us a door that is PERFECT. Karl showed up to put in the door and to say he is good was is an understatement. The new door frame was a few inches short of covering the existing area but he came up with adding cedar trim pieces outside and inside has a trim board. The craftsmanship from Karl is well above any we have had in past experiences from others coming to fix things on our house. My family will always recommend the familyman team!

Tim and Codie did a great job repairing wood rot damage on my screen porch. Tim as the lead, was a true craftsman and repaired my porch as if it was his own. He kept me informed and offered me options for what needed to be done. He arrived when he said he would each day and cleaned the job site each afternoon before leaving. Codie did an excellent job ripping trim pieces and caulking. The only reason I didn't give a 5-star rating was because the hourly labor rate I felt was pretty high. Even though Codie was in a trainee status, I was charged the same labor rate for his work. I went with it because I had spent a year trying to get someone to do the work. However, the quality of work was excellent and the end result was what I had hoped for.

Patrick, Christian and Tyler were professional, friendly and very thorough on our project. We're so happy with their work and we love our new hood vent and can lighting in one kitchen. We'll definitely use them again for our next projects!

We had Family Man and Tyler help us out with a soggy floor in our bathroom. They replaced the toilet and the flooring. They were very responsive and were able to do it for less than their estimate.

The workmanship was of high quality and was done in a timely manner.

For the first remodel on our 1979 house, Family Man Handyman was perfect. Their subcontractors did an excellent job remodeling our bathroom to facilitate aging in place. Tim was was conscientious of keeping me informed when to expect people to work on the project. His helpfulness in selecting fixtures was appreciated.

This company was amazing. I had 5 days before my house went on the market and had an issue with trim rot around my garage door and some siding that needed to be fixed on my home before pictures and listing. Not only did they work a miracle getting me in as fast as they did but they also got it done in record time (1 day) and did a fantastic job. The owner was very communicative and responsive, his employees showed up on time and got the job done quickly. They answered questions I had and were friendly and professional. For such short notice I feel extremely grateful they squeezed me in! All around a great experience and I would definitely hire them again. Their work is top notch!

I first used Family Man Handyman back in 2016 after purchasing and moving into my new home. Zack was still operating a 1-2 man show back then, and he and another technician performed a number of repairs throughout the house. They were professional, friendly, and reliable. I was very happy with the quality of the work and their pricing was very fair.

Now in 2021, I found myself needing a few things taken care of once again. I had them mount two 4'x8' gym mirrors, swap out some unused ceiling fans for regular lighting fixtures, a few other things here and there. I'm glad to see how Zack's business has grown and that he has a full team of experts to support him.

Alyssa responded to my inquiry right away and helped me get scheduled. She exceeds expectations for customer service--incredibly responsive, informative, and a joy to speak with. Patrick performed the estimate and clearly has a wealth of knowledge. I appreciate the level of detail and transparency he provided, and he was happy to provide advice and information about some other projects I may look to start in the future. The technicians who carried out the work were friendly, flexible, and did a great job. Very pleased with the quality of the work.

I needed some home repairs done to my house, after years of PNW weather and wear. I contacted Family Man Handyman for one (just one) of the repairs, only to learn that they could address all of my needs. From the door replacement, window frame replacements, to complete repaint of my house - I couldn’t be more pleased with the work or the expedited service. I’m very happy with the quality of work!!

Family Man is a great company that I highly recommend. They worked with my design ideas and budget to construct a free-standing porch deck with clear PVC roofing and a gutter, and I'm so happy with the end result! The builder team was friendly, knowledgable, communicated everything clearly with me, and were punctual. 6 stars if I could.

Our project involved demolition and replacement of a chimney bumpout due to extensive dry rot. The Family Man Handyman crew were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and skilled. They kept us well informed several times each day and maintained a tidy worksite. We missed them when they were done.

Hired Family Man to repair long term water damage and rot in a chimney surround for a gas fireplace at my folks house in Lacey, WA. Siding and studs were rotten and the plan was to rebuild the whole surround. Ultimately my folks decided they didn't want the 20 yo fireplace anymore so they decided to have Family Man remove the fireplace, chimney and surround and rebuild with a flat wall, no bump out. The final repair work included framing, siding/trim, insulation, drywall/texture, and roofing. Tim, Cody, and Brian were all great guys who did great work, and kept us in the loop when things changed or more extensive damage was found. The repair plan they came up with and built turned out really great. See before and after photos.

Highly recommend so much to say they are awesome on every level. Kudos to Tim, Brian and Steve...but the whole team is solid and go way above and beyond.

They replaced some trim in our bathroom and hallways after some water damage. Great communication from office staff and field workers were friendly, communicative and competent and left us with a finished product we are very happy with. Highly recommend!

Patrick was awesome & friendly when he came out to inspect the work to be done. Zack was great to FaceTime with during the Covid19 pandemic. The crew consisted of Tim, Brandyn and Tom over a 2 week span. I can’t say enough about them. They all are so friendly and professional, it’s refreshing. It’s what most businesses should model themselves after. All the work got done exactly how we expected. There were hiccups along the way, as most construction jobs, but it’s how they dealt with them. If you want quality, professional and friendly work done, there are your guys!

FamilyMan has been fantastic, they’ve been working with me to update a new house that I can’t move into from out of state until the quarantine lifts. They are very reliable & trustworthy, easy to work with, and have great ideas. The workmanship has been superior which I am able to judge from photos & visits by my daughter. I think they are pricier than other alternatives but you are guaranteed excellent results and peace of mind.

These guys are professionals, they do meticulous work. Don't expect a fast turnaround, they will take their time and give a professional bid, but if you want your house done by the best, this is the place to go.

Family Man Handyman is hands down the best. We came home from vacation to a kitchen and second room that had been molded and ruined from water damage. Zack and his team did a perfect job. Absolutely love these guys! Initially hired them 2 years ago to do some tile work in my kitchen. Michael did such a fantastic job, I went back to them this spring for a much bigger job. They recently completed a mid-life rehab on my 25 year old home - new floors, interior and exterior doors, all new trim, and new bathrooms. Bathrooms included all new tile shower, tub, countertops, vanity refinishing and paint. I could not be more thrilled with the final product. Brandyn and Michael were absolutely awesome to work with - their attention to detail, and willingness and concern to make sure we were happy with with finish product, was much appreciated. From the first walk through with Patrick and Zack prior to starting the job, to the last day of work with Brandyn finishing up the final details, they all worked with us to make our vision real. I would not go to anyone else for future work. Great quality product, and even more pleasant individuals that go the extra mile to make sure things are done right. All around great team!

This is a top notch company with nothing but professional employees.
We were in need of a deck for our above ground pool. Zach came out, and with his expertise, helped us design the deck and ladder. This was of the utmost importance so I would be able to get in and out of the pool with ease. Zach and his team, led by Patrick, were also able to suggest to us better ideas for us to make the deck flow to our hot tub.
We were always notified via text or email confirming our appointments and we were also notified on a daily basis when they were on the way to our house.
They also stand by their work. Over the winter a couple of the deck boards decided to go a different route, along with the stain. They not only replaced the boards, they pressure washed the whole deck and restrained it.

75 dollar estimates just to have them not want to do the job so they decided to estimate a 3-5k job at 15k. Installing 2 exhaust fans, painting one very small bathroom and one large bathroom and fixing flooring in one room came to a quote of 15 thousand dollars. EVERY OTHER CONTRACTOR came in at a price of under 5k with the one we chose doing the work for 3 and that included adding on a door jam and painting a whole other room, and were done before these guys even got back with our estimate. I don't know if they thought I could be taken advantage of, or if they just didn't have time for the small size of my job, but they could have just been honest. After showing the quote to my husband he started laughing.

I've loved working with them for previous projects, and they will always be my number one choice for future projects. Their ability to quickly respond to respond, their broad skill sets to work on varied projects, and their high quality of work brings me back.

Moved into a new place and needed a new stove and microwave. Hired family man handyman to come install, as there was no microwave over the stove originally and home depot couldn't do the installation. My call was answered immediately, the person I spoke to on the phone was polite and helpful. After emailing a few photos of the place where the work would be done, they were able to get me on the schedule in only a few days. They arrived on time, were extremely professional and got the job done! Everything looks great. They also made a point of cleaning up after themselves, which is much appreciated. All around it was easy to communicate and contact, quick to schedule and a job well done. I will definitely be hiring them again for future projects.

I can't say enough about working with Zack, Patrick and the entire Family Man Handyman team! They build me an art studio of my dreams. Their attention to every detail, as well as not only really hearing what my needs were, but anticipating and suggesting perfect options. I was days from closing and needed some work done to make it happen. Zachary made time in their schedule and came out the next day and did the fix it list! They took their time, took pictures for me to record the work had been done and were so reasonably priced for doing this last minute! Other places wanted to charge me $400 + for the work without even seeing what needed to be done! The were polite,clean and professional. Will definately call them if we need anything done at our new home! And to know they they are certified for electrical,plumbing,contracting and even a designer! Definately one stop shopping!

A week ago I contacted four different companies for a labor quote on a small project. Family Man Handyman was the only one that responded with fair prices and an estimation on how long they would take. This, to me, shows a tremendous amount of professionalism. It is small items like responding to a labor quote to small projects that set companies like this above the rest.

Zack has helped me with a number of projects, including installing a window, a door, a floor, fixing a leak in a converted garage and repairing the associated water damage. Zach and his team have been to our home four times this fall to help with a variety of small but important household repairs.
