Purchase a $95,000 truck from this location immediately started having problems under 20,000 miles and I have had it in the shop three times. I don’t feel like that is their fault but the fact that they never get back with you for service I’ve had my truck in there Already twice and still having the same issues every time I come home off the road working out of town I have to bring my vehicle in each time now each time I bring it in they won’t even speak to me. Talk to me. Do not buy a vehicle from this place. It is the last time they will want to talk to you until you want to spend more money with them if it is a warranty issue, they’re not interested

I had a very disappointing experience with Auto Ranch. After agreeing on a vehicle, I was presented with a final bill that included multiple unnecessary add-ons and inflated costs.

To make matters worse, when I decided not to proceed with the purchase due to the shady pricing tactics, Auto Ranch refused to refund my deposit — even though it was their lack of transparency that caused the deal to fall through.

This dealership clearly prioritizes profit over honest business. I strongly advise potential buyers to be cautious, scrutinize every charge, and consider shopping elsewhere.

Matt was fantastic to work with! We had both of our babies with us and he made it such an easy process. We were given the keys to test drive and then we sat in the play room with our kiddos, while Matt brought us what we needed to sign, etc. He was able to work with us on the price that we were comfortable with and overall, it was such a quick process! We highly recommend working with Matt, as we will use him and Mountain Home Auto Ranch in the future.

Serviced my pickup everything went great. A lot better price than Middlekauf in Twin and they didn't try to upsell me like Middlekauf

UPDATE: Since leaving this review, The Auto Ranch has reached out to us and have offered to correct their previous mistakes at no cost. They have provided a loaner car to my husband to use during the repair and seem to genuinely want to make it right. I will update again with the final outcome on repairs, but this is giving me hope that new management is trying to turn things around over there.

It's pretty bad when you ask any local person in Mountain Home about the Mountain Home Auto Ranch service department, and you will get a resounding " Do not ever go there" from every single person asked.
Currently, my husband is 3 weeks in on an issue with them that has cost us several thousand dollars. This was due to their mistake on a Ford warranty issue. Now, he can't even get the courtesy of a return phone call. I have purchased several vehicles from this business over the years, and while I love my sales, people Jermey and Val. I will never purchase from this business again due to the way my husband has been treated by the service managers. Mountain Auto Ranch, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

SLOW... Took 9 days for my dad to get a starter replaced. RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE! $1200+ to replace a $200 starter, $1000 in labor?!? I was told it took 3 hours to for replace a "broken bolt." POOR COMMUNICATION... I was told there would be no charge for the bolt. My dad was told the total charge was goung to be around $800. NO FOLLOW THROUGH... When I called for explanations, they asked if I'd like the Servive Manager to call me. I said PLEASE. That was a over week ago. The only reason I gave you 2 stars is because someone DID go get my dad (2 miles away) so he could pick up his truck. I had to ask twice. I live in Emmett. We will NEVER use Mtn Home Auto Ranch again. We bought the truck from you too. Wow. Ow.

A friend of mine bought a full size Bronco here so dropped by to look at a Ford Bronco Sport Badlands they had on the lot. I wasn't buying that day. Rush (salesman) greeted me on the lot, pulled it into the showroom (crazy windy and rainy outside) and let me get a real good look at it. It wasn't the car I really wanted but after spending some time with Rush, he showed me some things I didn't know and I slowly fell in love with the car. Sales Manager Greg encouraged a test drive where I was able to open up the sport mode on the car and I was hooked.

The staff was courteous and professional, and the sales manager worked hard to get me a deal I could live with. Overall, Rush and Greg were great to work with.

I hate buying cars. I don't like the fuss, negotiating a price, and it taking up an entire day. When I decided to get a new car, I texted Rush at Auto Ranch what I wanted. Mountainhome auto wrench was absolutely amazing. Our salesman was Benny bought a quite a few cars in my day but this guy was absolutely amazing. Nose is in and out make you feel like family. definitely highly recommended would go back and ask for Benny but everybody there too is absolutely amazing. I had the pleasure of working with Matt Brandhagen and when I tell you he might be the most kind salesperson I have ever worked with, it is not hyperbole. Matt made himself available at all times of day (and night) and was prompt with his responses and calculated in helping me get exactly what I needed done. I’ve been hesitant in buying another vehicle because of how long these things can take and the pushy salesman antics, but Matt and his team got a test drive and paperwork completed in less than 2 hours and I was driving off the lot in my new vehicle.

I’d also like to add that the vehicle we drove out to purchase the new vehicle with started misfiring on the way there, and Matt took it upon himself to come to my home in Caldwell from Mountain Home to grab the key (because we left the car at the dealer) so that he can help me in getting a quote on a repair. Matt is the embodiment of perfect customer service and I couldn’t recommend a person more than I could with him. He was kind with my wife and kids and patient while we were looking at various options with the stressful situation.

Every person there was kind and attentive and very good at their jobs, but Matt is a cut above the rest. We purchased two vehicles from Mtn Home Auto and encouraged many of our friends to do the same, even though we live almost 4 hours away. Part of our deal was purchasing an additional warranty on each vehicle. The initial sales experience was great, but when it came time to sell the vehicles, there was still a substantial amount of coverage left on the warranty. We were promised we would get a refund back for the balance of the warranty. That was 4-1/2 months ago and countless calls, messages, empty promises, more calls, more runaround… you get the picture. My initial impression of this dealership was quite positive (as shown by my posts at that time, but now after all the lies and ignoring our requests, I have to say this is EXACTLY why car dealerships get their deserved negative reviews. We will lose 4+ months of rebate, if we ever see any rebate at all. We’ve left messages with everyone trying to get this issue resolved— including the general manager. Once you’ve purchased you vehicle, forget about any kind of customer service, they’ve got your money and they have no incentive to provide quality service any more. Their website uses words like trustworthy, commitment, top-notch, ultimate experience, etc. Unfortunately, these are just buzz words. They even have the audacity to wright, “Nobody wants to be forgotten after the purchase of a new or used vehicle”! I’d love to speak with Todd and Paula McCurry about the customer service we’ve received! Bottom line: you may find a good deal here, but don’t put any stock in their promises to provide quality customer service after the sale.

UPDATE: We received a call from Darren who expressed his concern over our experience. He aggressively addressed the situation, back-dated the refund to the date we sold the car, and overnighted the check to us. This is much more typical of the customer service we’re used to getting from Mountain Home Auto Ranch. Thank you, Darren.

Competitive prices & they had the exact truck i needed with just the right options. This is a full service dealership with very kind & knowledgeable staff. I live in Coeur d'Alene and flew down to Mountain Home because their prices were way better than Dave Smith Motors (who's just not that good anymore.) Ask for Holly, she was a great sales professional who I'd buy from again.

As a side note, I'll be sure and forward my review to Michelle at Dennis Dillon Caldwell, ID. She had the chance to sell me another new Ram 3500 Dually but blew it! I got way better service from the folks over here at MH Auto Ranch . They truly earned my business in this sale, and likely the next when my wife needs an update to her 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Joe and Paul were attentive to my goals, gave me great options and i have already sent them another Jeep customer! No high pressure sales! told them my goal was to be in and out in under 45 minute, 42 min and change (and we BS’d)!

Service customer technician had no idea what he’s doing. Oil change went from $85 to $155 never told me about the increase. Auto Ranch had three things to do. Initially one was completed the last two not even looked at. Initially told work oil change and module and setting would be completed the same day. I checked on the status at the end of day and they wanted two more days to complete the job. This was not explained when I dropped off my at 9am at end of the day only the oil was changed. Six vehicles later, untold work completed the last 20 years Mountain Home Auto Ranch has lost me as a customer. Sadly I was looking to buy another vehicle but not at this dealership.
